Subject: the end of life as we know it….
It has been three days since the water ran out in all the lakes and ponds nearby, over a month since the crops failed and we began eating the last crumbs of what is left. Outside the research building our escaped human hybrid experiments are no where to be seen as the sea level rises due the sudden two degree rise, from an already elevated four degree change, in Earth’s global temperature. Billions of innocent lives lost due to massive flooding, hundreds of cities are completely submerged, more to come as the ice caps finally melt… Some claim that man can take to the sky but we haven’t the time for such nonsense. Many people now flee to ships but they are only delaying what is to come. Death is upon us.
This is the end for man kind, for planet earth and everything that lives on it. We all have met our end. The earth has turned against us for our sin of over using it. We are doomed to drown……
It wasn’t long after such doom was written of, that it came to pass. The land sank beneath the seas and what was left of its life was gone. All that remained of the green planet was a memory, an endless ocean and a hand full of humans in boats waiting for death. Ironically however it was the human hybrids, which were meant to serve humans, who became the saviors of man by creating a new world on the water that would soon take to the sky above. This new world needed a new identity as it was now reborn; it was named Terramare or Water-sky.

"I guess my wolf reserve is kicking in more than ever now." Aria grinned then her brow furrowed slightly. "But something feels wrong, for two stranded men they seem awfully alert and not as gaunt as they should be. Maybe i'm over thinking this."
"You are, moon child, i need to return to my work. Remember no sparing, you can instruct but no actual sparring." He kissed her forehead, put his hand to her stomach then hurried off. Aria glanced over her shoulder and saw or at least thought she saw an evil glint in both men's eyes.

Jin had already commanded some of his crew to get the supplies nessecary to repair their ship, and he had already begun repairing it. He occasionally stopped to ask a question or chat a little bit with the men, but then resumed repairing. He gave a strange glance at them occasionally, almost as if they were a threat. He wasn't so sure about them, but surely they couldn't cause a problem. Come on, how bad could it be? They're just here until we repair their ship. Jin thought to himself. He walked over to one of the men and said, "OK, it'll take about a day, but we'll be able to repair your ship. Sorry about the inconvenience."

Aria felt bored being unable to do any sparring or exercising with Annastrianna. The repairs on the other boat were taking longer than expected and Aria wasn't sure of what to make of that. She was checking her own boat engine when she heard an appreciative whistle.
"That is a mighty fine engine, Mrs. Aria. I've never seen one like it before."
"And nor will you. This is a one of a kind engine all the way from the Sky domes." Aria replied setting down her tools looking at him intensively. She caught his eyes and she could sense a flash of fear in him.
"That's some aura you have miss Aria, very scary." Aria lept lightly onto the deck making him retreat a step.
"I'll see what i can do with your engine, I am not busy and i can tell you want to be on your way." Aria led the way radiating her aura as an alpha female. She went to work quickly issuing orders when she needed something.

Aria padded out of her and Jovi's cabin unable to sleep. Jovi was still in the library and tonight was new moon. Aria transformed and trotted along the deck casually. A nearby noise made her ears perk towards it, she tensed a little going low to the deck in a crouch. Something suddenly was clamped on her snout and legs making her fall to the deck without a sound. Hands grabbed her and she was hoisted onto a pair of strong shoulders.
"Quickly lunt!." Aria squirmed on the man's shoulders as he carried her to the other boat and placed her in a cage.
"Which one next?"
"The dog, he'll be easier to get here and Tagien wants him as well. Get the boat ready then we'll get him!" Aria growled at the name though it was muffled and she tried to transform but found she couldn't. Please, Jin, don't get caught, she prayed silently.

Jin was taking a stroll around the deck, just enjoying the night, when he heard footsteps. He turned around... but nobody was there. He tensed up and glanced around quickly, but could see no-one. One of the men came out of the shadows and tried to restrain him, but Jin moved out of the way and forced the man to the deck. The other came and jumped at him, but Jin rolled out of the way. The first man got up and grabbed both of Jin's arms, but Jin broke free by jumping up and kicking the man in the chest with both feet. The second man got up and tried to get at Jin again, but Jin spun around and roundhouse kicked him, sending him back down to the floor. The first man tripped Jin and grabbed him by the neck, but Jin managed to bite his arm, causing him to step back. Jin pulled out a whistle and was about to blow into it, but he was grabbed from behind and forced down, causing Jin to drop the whistle. His hands were tied behind his back, and they taped his mouth so he couldn't call for help They also tied his legs were bound as well so he couldn't run away. Jin struggled as much as he could before getting tossed onto the other boat, a short distance away from Aria's cage.

Aria started struggling again when Jin was tossed in the hold next to her cage. She felt the floor tremble as the boat was lowered into the water. From the deck she heard the men talking,
"The dog won't be trouble if he transforms but we need to make the wolf human in case she gets free. Shackle them to the boat, don't mess it up." Heavy footsteps were coming to the hold and Lunt was then framed in the door way. He went to her cage and said,
"I will take the transforming stopper off you, turn human or he dies." He pointed at Jin then took off the thing on her mussel. At once she transformed and he snapped the stopper on her neck as a collar then he pulled her over to a set off shackles that were attached to the deck. As soon as she was secured he turned to Jin, "I will shackle you now, if you fight i will kill this wolf's pups." Aria paled and placed her hands over her slightly bulging stomach protectively.

The man brought Jin over to the shackles first, then untied him and quickly put the shackles on him. Jin looked at Aria with a face that said, 'Sorry' but then turned his attention back to the man. The man walked back to wherever he had come from, so Jin relaxed a little bit. Jin wriggled for a bit, attempting to find a way out of the shackles, but he couldn't get out. He realized, at that moment, that he did not have a transformation inhibitor on. Jin transformed to his dog form and slowly got out of the shackles silently, then crept over to aria. He turned to his human form and put a finger to his lips, signaling for Aria to be as quiet as possible. Jin began to try and undo Aria's shackles, slowly getting them off of her as silently as he could. Unfortunately, at the last moment, Aria's shackles hit the side of the ship, making a loud 'CLANG' noise.

Aria silently prayed they didn't hear it, nobody came to instigate. They tried to take off the transformation inhibitor but it wouldn't come off. Aria bit off a curse then jumped went she felt the twins kick inside her. She put a hand to her stomach rubbing it gently looking at Jin,
"I can't transform and i can hardly fight like this. Oh, Lady, they're kicking." She said in barely a whisper. Closing her eyes she told Jin, "You'll have to do the fighting, sorry."

Jin got up quietly and snuck to the door. There were three guards. Jin tensed up and prepared for a fight, then quietly snuck out the door. All the guards were facing away, so he pulled off a pressure point trick with one of them causing that guard to collapse. The other two saw the first one collapse, so they looked around, and spotted Jin. Jin acted quickly and kicked one in the gut, causing him to double over. Jin then brought his fist down on that guard's head, knocking him out. The third guard came at Jin, so Jin dove out of the way and slammed the guard against the wall. Two other guards came at Jin from either side, so Jin merely stepped out of their paths, and they collided, which knocked them unconcious. Jin proceeded on and continued to knock out the guards until he got to the bridge, where the two men that captured them were. One of them spotted Jin, ran at him, then threw a punch. Jin sidestepped and used the man's momentum against him, sending him to the floor. He slammed a pressure point on the man's neck with his finger, causing the man to go unconcious. The second one came at him, but Jin gave him a high kick to the face, sending him to the floor. Jin stood menacingly above him and said, "Take us back or you're never going to see the light of day."

Aria watched Jin leave and heard him taking out the guards. When she felt she could stand She carefully made her way out. She took a weapon from one of the downed guards and reached the bridge just as the man said,
"It's too late, dog. Tagien's on his way already. He is not one to take lightly."
Aria grimaced slightly then began going through pockets looking for the key to the collar. "Jin, can you contact your ship from here?"

Jin dropped the man and said, "Unfortunately, no. Not unless we have some sort of flare, or perhaps, a whistle." Jin noticed a key around the man's neck whom he had just dropped, and snatched it. He put it into the lock on her collar and turned it, and the collar popped off. Jin glanced around. Something was off... wait... the engines were off! They were no longer in motion. Jin tensed up and prepared for anything, since he had no idea what was going to happen next.

Aria took his hand and pulled him to the deck. there was nothing around only water. Aria scanned the area several times until she spotted a large shape on the horizon.
"Jin look there's what looks like a floating town. Maybe we can try to get there." Aria looked around for anything they could use as a way across. There was a small raft. barely big enough for two people. "We can use this, we'll have to take turns swimming."

Jovi paced up and down the ship restlessly sometimes stopping and looking out at the ocean,
"Annastrianna, it's been hours and there's no sign of them. They could be anywhere, needing our help and we can't do anything." Jovi sat on a chair and put his face in his hands.

Jin thought about it for a minute, but then said, "I'll swim the entire way. What with you being pregnant, you're in no condition to do so." After Aria got onto the raft, Jin lowered it into the water and jumped in. He started swimming and pushing the raft, headed to the town.

Aria didn't argue mostly because the twins were starting to kick again. The town was coming closer and Aria could smell only hybrids. Someone in the town must have seen them because two rowboats came out to meet them and tow them into the shelter of the town's docks.
"Mercy above look at them!" Cried an old leopard as Aria and Jin were pulled up on to the dock. "A dog and, great skies! A wolf!" Everyone jumped in alarm, Aria tensed slightly then grimaced as the kicking became more intense. The old leopard came forward and felt her stomach, "Come child, your pups want out. Your mate can stay with the others, this is woman's work." Aria was shunted away by the flock of concerned women leaving Jin to explain to the others.

Jin was relieved that they were taken to shore, as he was getting tired, but then he was confused when, who seemed to be their elder, called him Aria's mate. "I'm not her mate!" Jin called after them. He turned to the other people who were standing nearby, and said, "Hi. I'm Jin." Almost immediately, questions came up, so he answered some of them. One of them was how he got there, so he told them how he had gotten tricked and captured, and how they escaped. Another question was where he had come from, so he told them all about his ship and asked them if they had seen it. None of them had. Some of them were getting a little too close for comfort, but Jin didn't want to be rude, so he stayed and answered their questions, and asked a few of his own.

"You did well, Aria." one of the women said wrapping the second crying wolf eared baby in a blanket. Aria was too exhausted to reply but found the energy to stroke the the cheeks of her little boy and girl. The hybrid women cleared out the room to give her some privacy. Only the old woman stayed.

"Yes, he is a scholar from the Sky domes. I wish he could be here to see them." Aria replied as her son griped her finger. "If it wasn't for those men we wouldn't have been separated. What time is it?"

"Look, it's Uncle Jin, i think. I'm a bit groggy right now."

Jin walked in carrying a tray of food, and smiled. He walked over and congradulated Aria, then placed the tray on a nearby table. "They're so cute!" He said. After a few minutes of standing around and chatting, he said, "Well, I think I'll go get some rest. See you in the morning!" He walked out and to a small house, where the villagers said he was allowed to stay. He walked in and closed the door, then looked around. It was a cozy little house, with a bed, dresser, and a restroom. Having no night clothes to wear, he simply discarded his shirt and pants, and climbed into bed. After a few minutes, he fell deeply asleep.

Annastriann glanced at Jovi, and sighed. "I'm sure they're fine, Jovi; sure, Aria's pregnant, but she's still a fighter. Besides, Jin is missing, too, and he can fend for himself well enough. We'll just have to wait and see what happens," she said, trying to sound soothing. However, she could not help but worry a little herself. Neither had ever disappeared for so long without anyone seeing them. And, after a small search of her own, she was sure they weren't on the ship. "We'll just have to hope they're okay. "

Aria walked along the water's edge carrying the twins in carry pouches the old leopard, Oru, had given her. Her boy was black haired with a single white section earning him the name Eclipse. Her girl was as fair haired as her father with touches of red among the brown, Aria named her Luna. The town treated her like royalty, Jin as well by association, they were happy to share what they had with them.
"Smell that air," Aria murmured rocking them gently. "your father is going to be surprised."
"Aria, someone has come to see you." Oru called and Aria turned. A tall man was holding out his arms to her smiling jovially.
"Father! You're here!" She hurried off careful of her children. His face lit up at the sight of them,
"Aria, you have pups! I didn't know what to think when i got the message from Oru, hunters in my territory going for you," He shook his head "I will take you home to that ship."
"Father, thank you." She hugged him then took his hand, "There is someone you must meet properly." Aria located Jin in the main room. "Jin, this is my father. Father this is Jin, you two weren't really introduced."

Jin held Luna and started to rock her back and forth, and Luna almost immediately calmed down. "Well, whaddaya know?" Jin said with a chuckle. He turned back to Oru and said, "Anyway, about getting back to my ship..."

"You will be on the pack ship, Aria's mother would want to see the pups. We will be able to find your ship, it's still in my domain." Oru smiled at Eclipse but made him start crying again. Aria soothed him gently almost jealous of Jin holding a sleeping Luna. The hybrids of the town came forward to say their farewells. The little cribs were taken aboard the little boat,
"Thank you all for your help," Aria called to them as the boat moved away from the dock. When they were out of sight Aria gently laid Eclipse in one of the cribs then relived Jin of Luna. Once they were secure Aria joined Jin and her father in guiding the boat back to the pack's ship.
