The first one to respond to the series of events had been Caelan, naturally. A flare for the dramatic seemed to be a hereditary trait that ran in his family, Mihael was the same way but in a slightly different set of circumstances. They were twins so it only made since they would have things in common, including the prideful stubbornness she was quickly getting familiar with. That pride was the one that made him speak to his opposite or, as Kat now called him, bleached out version of him without actually turning to look at him. "Well. Well well well. You've certainly got a spine. Don't you? You might be worth something. As for you, Ty..."She tensed as she heard her roommate speak the other boys name, had her attempt to calm the situation failed? By the sound of his voice she couldn't tell that it had not failed. She had heard the shift in his tone, it was no longer coated in that dangerous instability it had been a few seconds ago. He continued talking to the fire user before turning back towards the table. [/color] "Don't cross me, and we will be fine"......"You make a fair point, friend. Burning every bridge immediately isn't worth doing on day one. In the grand scheme of things here, the end is what matters. Freedom is what matters. Making sure this doesn't happen to anyone else, matters." She heard footsteps move towards her and tensed a little as he whispered in her ear. He informed her that he would be in the courtyard meditating, and would meet her there if she chose to go or see her back at the room later tonight. After those short words he walked past Ty in an almost nonchalant manner. To some it would seem rude but she knew better, she knew how badly he was holding back. The silence that had formed as he moved was broken as his voice echoes across the room one more time. "But let me make one thing clear. Don't push me too far. It won't end well." The table nearest to him suddenly shook, crumpling in on itself until it was nothing more than a metal ball. A ball that landed with great force on the floor, cracking the tiles on impact as if it were a meteorite. That was the Caelan she had come to know, she knew he couldn't help himself. She had spoken, or thought, too soon on the matter of control. With that last act he walked out of the cafeteria and disappeared from sight. She would put some thought into meeting up with him after this depending on how things played out.
The pyro had listened intently to her speech, to her relief. She had been half afraid that he might have reacted explosively like Caelan and maybe even used his powers but somehow, contrary to his fiery powers, he had remained rather cool through this whole event. She didn't know how she would have reacted if she saw that fireball again but it would not have ended well. It was refreshing to meet someone who could actually keep their cool. In a way this boy was her polar opposite. He used fire but remained cool and she used ice and water but exploded in fiery rage more often than not. The boy looked at her hand then at her eyes, a look of confusion then wonder on his face as if he wasn't sure about something but was really thinking about it. He then turned, watched Caelan do his power trick and then leave. She watched curiously as he seemed to exhale all his rage before he turned back to her, she straightened up as best she could to look confident but quickly relaxed once she heard him speak. He shook her and with a warm smile on his lips. "It's already forgotten. The pleasures all mine, Katherine." His smile turned into an expression of concern, his voice worried. "Um...are you alright? My powers aren't hurting you are they?" She then remembered that she must look rather ill, her face must be as red as her hair by now and must seem exhausted. With everything that's happened she may as well explain why she was like this. First she let go of his hand and shook her head as an answer to his question, then jumped into an explanation." I will be ok. I just have a pretty bad fever because I used my powers one too many times today. There was a situation back in my room and well...things got out of hand. That's why Caelan was dragging me like that, he was trying to get both of us away from the others before both of us lost our tempers at the same time and someone got hurt. Your powers aren't affecting me in the way you must be thinking. When paused a moment, feeling almost ashamed at admitting this to someone other than herself. Even if she was scared to tell him it was for the best, as to avoid a bad situation later on.
" I'm....I'm really afraid of fire. There was an incident in my past where...I was almost burned alive and I haven't been able to even look at a candles flame since then without going into total shock. Which is bad because, sometimes my powers go all crazy if I'm like that... She had moved a stray lock f hair away while speaking, her voice trembling a little when she spoke, then pointed at the frozen water bottle on the table she had been in as an example of what she was saying to him. During her explanation a girl walked into the cafeteria with a small dog. It was the same girl that Caelan and Kat had almost run over when they left the room. Yet another person she had to apologize to, she had only seen her for a second before being dragged out so she didn't know if the girl would recognize her or not. She made her way towards the food, speaking with a sarcastic and semi hostile tone to no one in particular as she moved. âOh I hope my prenses isnât too much for yaâll. Nameâs Judy, in case anyone caresâ The girls attitude was such a harsh contrast to the super happy and friendly voice she had heard outside her door earlier that it almost scared her. The small dog seemed to imitate the girls anger and was growling at everyone that got in range of it's master. The girl, or Judy as she had informed the room, picked up an apple and a soda and made her back towards the exit when she stopped. The dog had jumped out of her arms and moved across the room with great speed, smelling everyone briefly before lingering on Ty's hand. It nibbled almost playfully on the boys hand. This made Judy turn and walk towards them, Kat tensed awkwardly but continued to explain to Ty." I will probably be fine after I get some more water in me and some sleep, I just can't really go back to my room just yet...too crowded. Caelan had brought me over to get some food and water so I could feel better. He...isn't as bad as he appears. Really. I'm sorry again, for what happened.
She smiled almost sheepishly before turning to the girl that now stood beside Ty and the small dog. Kat swallowed and spoke up awkwardly, it was now or never. She had already apologized twice today so she might as well keep going and get through with it all at once."Um..Hi. Judy? I don't know if you remember me from earlier. My roommate kind of dragged me out of my room as you were coming in and kind of ran you over on the way out. I just wanted to say that I am really sorry about what happened. There was too much tension building up in there, it was getting crowded and tempers as well as powers started flaring up. Please don't think that we were treating you bad on purpose, really we weren't. Things just happened in that unfortunate order. I hope you didn't get hurt, or your little friend there." Kat felt her heat racing with nerves as she spoke, she didn't know if the girl would react like Caelan and explode or like Ty and keep his cool. The only thing she could do now was breath knowing she had at least come forward and apologize, even if she hadn't been the one to run the girl over, for what happened. All these emotional loops today were seriously too much, she started feeling like she really did want to meet up with Caelan and do that weird floating zen thing. Hopefully the the rest of the time she will be in this place wont be as hectic, but somehow she highly doubted it would be any more relaxed with the kind of people clashing in it.
Not surprisingly, with the pattern of random people today, yet another person walked in. This time it was a rather attention grabbing girl in heels and a corset dress. Her hair bounced with each step as she cat walked into the room with an almost impossible entrance to miss, it reminded her a little of the twins dramatic personalities but a lot less hostile. Her green eyes scanned the room as she spoke. "Well hello fellow classmates, My name is Passhia but you can call me Fang, since, well I have a venomous bite." A small tongue ran over her teeth in an almost unconsciously animalistic manner to prove her point. The next thing that happened could maybe be the strangest thing that Kat had seen all day. Some real wickedly strange shit had happened today so that was really saying something. A Cobra. Yes, a COBRA had peeked out of her hair and slithered down her legs, coming to a stop on the floor beside her."Don't panic, he doesn't bite. Well unless you're a cat, which I happen to smell" She had spoken while petting the snakes head like a puppy. It was a boy snake? How can you even tell if a snake is female or male. She shuddered at the thought not wanting to really get a mental picture of the process. During this whole thing one thing still poked at her mind."Wait did she just say Cat? Cat's and birds where the two animals that Kat really loved, there was no way she had missed one, even in her dazed and feverish state. She looked around the room excitedly, probably the most animated she had looked since the fever started, her long crimson hair jumping along with her. Her childlike movements quickly turned into disappointing stillness and sad steel gray eyes having found no feline anywhere."Wheres the cat...?" She spoke to no one in particular but wanted an answer to her question.
