Cats.
Everybody loves them.
But then came a mix between cat and person, but they didn't look grotesque.
They were called "Nekos" after the Japanese Cat of Luck.
Such as in the American Civil Right Movement for the blacks, they were treated badly.
Eventually they weren't even allowed to maintain jobs, because they were labeled "Freaks" by the rest of society.
But somewhere, somebody opened up a house for male nekos.
And now it's very large, almost like an adoption place.
Actually, it is.

Oh well.
