She ran downstairs and began shoveling her breakfast in her mouth. "Slow down, sweetie. Even if you don't get there within the next five minutes, the school will still be there," her mother said while chuckling. "I know, Mom! But I'm just so excited!"
Later that morning, the two of them pulled up in front of the dormitory and started unloading the car. Brittany got the key from the front desk, and made her way to her new home, if you could call it that. The dorm was just one room, with two raised beds. There was a desk and a dresser underneath each bed. There was also two stand up dressers for hanging up clothes. She couldn't wait to start decorating the place, as it was very bland and white. Brittany knew she would need to check with her roommate first, to find out what kinds of things she liked. She noticed there was no one else there; no bags or anything.
Brittany said her goodbyes to her mother, and both of them were crying. With one last hug, her mother left, leaving Brittany alone to unpack everything herself. The first thing Brittany did was place a picture of her and her dad. Brittany's father had passed away when she was little, so it was just the two of them. Her father had life insurance, which would pay for Brittany's tuition, so she really didn't have to worry about that. After, she made the bed up; she had chosen neon colors for bedding. The comforter was neon pink, with blue, orange, and green pillows. She was thankful that there were ladders leading up to the beds, because at 5'3", she would have never been able to get up onto it. Once that was completed, she started unpacking her clothes, hoping to be finished before her roommate showed up.

He noticed a note from his parents saying how much they were going to miss them. He knew they had to work today, and couldn't ask off. He had already said goodbye to each of them the night before. Christian put the dishes in the dishwasher, and grabbed his wallet and keys. He headed out the door, and made the two hour drive to the college.
He pulled into the parking lot, and put his black sedan in park. He took some things from the trunk and headed to the dormitory. He got his key from the front desk, and made his way to his dorm. He didn't see anyone there yet when he walked in, so he just placed all of his things on one side of the room. It took him a couple trips to get everything in the dorm and looked around at the room. "I have way too much shit," he thought. He sighed, and began putting everything away. He had chosen black and red bedding, and put the sheets and the comforter on the bed. He put some of clothes away, and put the TV up in the room. He hoped his roommate liked XBox, which was one of Christian's passions.
He hoped he would finish in time to go get dinner or something at the common eating area.

"Aiden wake up!" she screamed while shaking him. She swear he was the hardest person to wake up in the world. After shaking and even slapping him once or twice to get him to wake up she had manage to get him to turn over so his back was now facing her. Armonie checked the watch noticing she has been trying to wake her brother now for three minutes, she walked towards the bathroom, grabbing one of the baskets from under the sink and filling it with cold water. She hated having to do this because he always got mad at her, but he wouldn't wake up so this is what it has come to. Armonie over to Aiden's bed and dumped the cold water on his head, which caused Aiden to jump up a murderous look on his face.
"What the hell was that for Monie." he said anger oozing out with every word.
"Well you wouldn't wake up and i don't want to get to the campus to late so come one get up and get dressed." She replied back, eyes challenging him to protest.
"Ugh ok, i'll be down in a minute ." he replied back heading towards the bathroom. Armonie walked downstairs and entered the kitchen to see her parents sitting at the table drinking coffee. She said a quiet good morning to them and then made her way over to the fridge to grab the milk so that she could make some cereal. After making herself and Aiden a bowl she sat on the counter with her legs crossed waiting for him to come down stairs so they could leave. She was happy they thought ahead and packed all of their stuff in the car the night before just in case something like this was to happen.

Callie was dressed in her grey college sweatshirt that was handed to her when she first registered and dark skinny jeans and black converse, and her wavy brown hair was pulled back to the side with a hair clip. Her luggage was already filled with clothes and other personal items prepared the night before and the car was waiting outside, ready to take her to a whole new adventure. She finished breakfast to her own pace and said goodbye to her little sister, who had to stay behind with her father.
"Always listen to Mommy and Daddy okay?" Callie said as she rubbed Yuri's tears off in a motherly fashion.
"Mhm.." Yuri nodded as she hugged her. Then she shot her a toothy smile to show she was alright. Callie hugged her father and said her goodbyes and got in the car, with her mom waiting inside.
"Don't worry, I'll come visit!" She yelled with her head out the window as they rode away.
When Callie arrived at campus she stood still in awe at how big it was. There were already tons of people arriving and walking across the campus into their dormitories. She helped her mom take out the luggage and hugged her as thanks, and goodbye.
“It’s okay Mom, I’ll take it from there.” Callie smiled and took the baggage from her. She waved as her mother drove away, far from eyesight. She rolled her luggage up to her room number until she found it. Then Callie fumbled through her bag, trying to find the key until she realized it was in her pocket. She gave herself a face palm and opened the door, only to find that it was already unlocked. Somebody must be in there right now, and that somebody was probably her new roommate. ‘Please don’t let her be a bitch, please don’t let her be a bitch, please don’t let her be a bitch..' was one of the things she was saying through her head as she turned the knob and opened the door. The first thing she saw: Neon colors.
Callie almost muttered a “whoa” as she saw her roommates’ bedding… and her roommate. She was a tiny little redhead (who had good taste in glasses) and it seemed that she was the one Callie would be sharing rooms with since she was unpacking her stuff. ‘This one doesn‘t look too bad. She has a friendly face.. sort of..’ Callie thought as she closed the door, which probably caught her roommate’s attention.
“Um…hi. I’m Callie.” She said with a slight smile as she pushed her luggage to the floor and began unpacking along with her.
(Ugh, got to go. I’ll do Colton’s tomorrow.)

She giggled and looked around at the suitcases she still had on the floor, blushing a bit. "Sorry for the mess..," she said while pushing them off to her own side of the room. "I was kind of hoping I would be finished before you got here so it wouldn't be so messy. I shouldn't be too much sooner. If you want, I can help you with everything. Watch out for the beds, though. They're super high and it's hard to make the beds up." She knew she was talking too much, something she often did when she was excited or nervous.
"Sorry. I talk too much, I know. Shutting up now." She smiled and took a deep breath.

"I made you some cereal." Armonie said to him. He turned towards her, a thankful smile on his face, then wolfed down the cereal finishing in a matter of seconds.
"Lets go." He said to her as he tossed her her car key and grabbed the keys for his motorcycle. They walked towards the door but Aiden stopped to look around before leaving, saying a silent goodbye to the home that has been his for the last 18 years of his life. He walked out the door to see his sister sitting in the car with her eyes closed a single tear leading to more running down her face. He walked over to her sticking his head into the opened window placing a hand on her shoulder reassuringly.
"It ok Monie, we'll be ok." he reassured his sister who then began to wipe the tears away from her face and looked up at him with a smile on her face. He smiled back at her before heading over to his motorcycle and revving it up. He placed his helmet on his head as Armonie pulled out of the driveway. He followed behind her as they made their way to the college. Once they got there they both headed to the front desk to get their keys. After retrieving them they decided to bring all of Aiden's stuff to his room since he had less things. They entered his room and he placed a couple of boxes on the bed he was planing to claim and then headed out with Armonie so they could bring her things up to her room. After the making about three trips they finally had all of Armonie's stuff inside her dorm room.
"What did you pack up your whole room Monie, this is a lot of stuff." Aiden asked looking at the 9 boxes in disbelief.
"Surprisingly no i still have more stuff at the house...I shop to much." Armonie replied with a bashful look as she began unpacking. "Can you help me with some of my boxes please." She asked, her famous puppy dog look making it's way to her face. Aiden always crumbled under this look and would do anything to help his sister out if she did this one face. He knelled down and began to help her with her boxes. He only had three so it he wouldn't mind helping her out for a bit.

Alaska ran out of her room and into her brother's, "Could you stop banging on the wall, please? This is the last morning we have to put up with each other and I don't want to deal with you ruining my day." he stayed silent and threw a pillow at her. She rolled her eyes, shut the door, and went to get the things she had packed yesterday and loaded them into her VW Mini bus. After that was done she locked her car and went up stairs to take a shower and get ready.
--------
"Anthony get up, it's time!" his mother yelled from downstairs.
"Fuuuuck." he lazily sat up on his bed, just taking sometime to soak in the fact that he was supposed to be leaving for college today. After his moment of silence he got up and blasted Dead Pool on his stereo. He took a shower and when he was done and dry, he put on a plain white shirt and on top his black denim vest ,along with some skin tight black jeans. His look was somewhat punk but not really. Anthony turned off the music. After that he loaded his mazda with his belongings. Anthony quickly headed back into the house and said goodbye to his mother. His dad was off at work and they had already said their goodbyes the night before. He went back out, got in his car, and drove away.
-------
Alaska was done with her shower and now was dry with her town wrapped around her. She got dressed and went downstairs to say goodbye to her parents. "Hey, I'm leaving!" no response. She looked and looked but couldn't find them.
"They left for breakfast like an hour before you woke up." her brother said as he came down the stairs.
"But I'm leaving for college right now." she looked at him with anger.
"Yeah, about that, they left a note." he handed to her and then headed to the kitchen.
Alaska read the note and couldn't believe it. Those snobby pricks wouldn't even wait so I could say bye to them. She crumpled the paper and threw it on the floor. Then she walked out of the house, slamming the door shut,"This has got to be a joke. They might only care about money most of the time, but just letting me leave with out a word!" she kept talking to herself and got in her mini bus. Alaska turned on the ignition, put on her favorite band(Man Overboard) and drove off.
----
Anthony had just finished carrying this belongings to his dorm and started unpacking. He picked the left side of the room even though he wasn't told if he had a roommate or not.
----
After a long time of driving Alaska had arrived. She carried her things to her dorm, hoping to find her roommate there already. I think her name was Kimiko... she peeked inside, no one was there. "Oh well." she shrugged and put her stuff on the left side of the room.

Kimi set the box she was carrying, which was loaded well past the brim with her clothes, down with a thud by the door of room 1005. "I hear you, Mom. I know, I know. You should know I'm going to be responsible."
Her mom gave her a look. "And keep your room clean," she added.
Kimi laughed. "Okay, mom. I love you." She gave her mom a hug, and turned to her dad, who she could swear she had just seen wiping a tear away from his eye. That couldn't have been possible, though. She had never seen her dad cry. Well, except for the day that Dale Earnhardt died. And when he was getting ready to deploy to Iraq a few years back, and was saying goodbye to her mom. "I love you, daddy," she said, going in for a hug.
Her dad gave her a tight hug back. "I love you too, Kim. We're proud of you. You're going to do great."
She said goodbye to the both of them and watched as they walked down the hallway and out the door, then checked her outfit to make sure she looked okay, before opening the door to her dorm room. She noticed that the left side of the room had been claimed, and she began sliding her things towards the right side, looking around to see if her roommate was there.

"Hello! Are you Kimiko? I'm Alaska, your roommate." she smiled and stretched out her hand, waiting for Kimi to shake it. After that she finished putting away clothes and moved on to arranging her desk.
"So what are you majoring in?" she tried making conversation. They were going to be living together so they would have to at least try to be friends, even if it wasn't something Alaska was good at.

"What's up guys, this is your boy DJ-Von, on GU Radio. Don't forget, the Freshman Block Party to kick off the school year right is tonight!" boomed voice on the Generisch campus radio station. "All you new students, make sure you come out to it. There's going to be music, dancing, food, drinks, and a whole lot of fun. I know I'll be there! Now, let's get back to the music."
Kimi turned the volume back down. She turned excitedly towards Alaska. "I think I saw something about the party in the welcome packet that I got," she told her. "It sounds like fun! Are you going to go?
----------
Jevon turned off the mic as he let the music play. One of these days, they would be listening to his music on the radio. He heard the click of the door opening behind him, and took off his headphones and turned to see who it was. Jace, the host and DJ for the next radio spot, was just coming in. Was it three o'clock already? Jevon looked at his watch. Five 'til. He began gathering up his papers to clear a spot for Jace.
"Good job today," Jace told him. "Definitely not bad for your first day co-hosting... Speaking of which, where is your co-host?"
Jevon shrugged. "Kelly said she had a family emergency or something, so I had to go it alone for today," he told him.
"Well, you did a great job without her. Go ahead and get out of here; I've got it from here." Jace sat down and put on the other set of headphones, waving Jevon off.
Jevon headed out the station's door, and began walking towards the dorms. While working at the radio station over the summer, he was getting practicum credit for school, so he had been granted permission to move into the dorm early over the summer. It had been insanely empty and quiet in the dorms, even with the RA and a few upperclassmen who were staying taking summer courses. Everyone had seemed to know everyone else already, so Jevon was really glad the rest of the Freshmen were arriving today, and especially excited for the party tonight.
He walked in his dorm, which was still empty on one side. He had made himself at home on the right side of the room. He flopped down on a black bean bag chair beside his loft bed, feeling too lazy at the moment to bother climbing up to the bed in order to relax. Last he had heard, a roommate still hadn't been assigned to this room with him yet. That was fine with him. He wouldn't mind having a roommate, but he could always use his own quiet space as well for working on his music. He pulled out his MacBook from its case, plugged in his headphones, and began working away.

Colton entered his dad's room without even knocking, knowing that he was asleep, and shook him gently. "Hey, Dad. I'm leaving now." He said quietly, as his father's eyes blinked a couple of seconds as to wondering where he ended up.
"Huh? Oh okay. Take care son." Was the last thing he heard his father say before he turned to the other side, his back facing Colton, and fell asleep once more. Colton sighed and ruffled his father's hair before exiting the room. Then he put his luggage in the trunk of his Corrola and left his home, heading for Generisch.
It was a long ride, but Colton finally arrived. After parking his car he headed over to the Main Building to retrieve his key. Many people were already chatting their little minds of around the campus and he could tell that he’d have a hard time to have a quiet place to relax. Oh wait, that’s what the dorms are for. He walked back to his Corrola to get his baggage out and then walked over to the boy’s dormitory. “Room 4004...” He kept mumbling until he found the said room. Colton unlocked the room with his key and opened it to find that one of the beds were already filled with boxes and bags. “Hm.” Colton guessed that his roommate had already arrived. Only he wasn’t there at the moment. Colton shrugged and dropped his baggage on the next available bed. It didn’t matter that he had taken the latter since both beds were the same. After he got his stuff out Colton climbed up onto his bed and took his iPod out and started listening to some music with his eyes closed. He wasn’t expecting to take a nap but now that he’s all relaxed and his stuff was already organized, why not? Anyways, it was just until his roommate got back.

Callie kept unpacking while Brittany introduced herself. She stopped and brushed some hair out her eyes. “Yeap.” She smiled at the girl, using short word sentences. Callie didn’t really know what to think of her. She seemed really bubbly, something she was already used to, since her old friends were the same way. But on the other hand, she seemed like the kind of girl who would attract a lot of attention from people, something she wasn’t too much fond of. Callie shook the thoughts out and decided to try and be friends with her, since she seemed like a nice person.
“Oh no, it’s okay. I can do it by myself.” Callie wasn’t at all paranoid about people touching her stuff, it was just that this girl was still just a stranger to her. Even if she was her roommate. Callie did take Brittany’s advise in mind, though. It did seem a bit difficult to make the bed.
“Oh, it’s fine. I don’t mind that much.” Again, Callie’s friends were about the same. Talkative and bubbly. She herself was a bit of a chatterbox whenever she really got into something or was nervous. Callie could tell the girl was trying to make an effort though, so she decided to try and be social a bit. “So, um.. You going to the party tonight?” She coughed.

Once everything was FINALLY put away, she opened her laptop that she had placed on her desk, going to Target's website. "I was thinking about going to Target and getting some things. Like a storage cart thingy, a TV, some curtains for the window, and maybe a rug? What do you think?" She didn't think she'd be able to get the things today and be back in time to go to the party, but if she could pick out the items now, she'd be able to get up early in the morning and go once the store opened. She continued to surf the website. "Oohh and maybe a DVD player. Gotta have my movies," she thought aloud.

Rain grabbed his own bags in disbelief he decided to actually come back to this school. Well he managed to get a scholarship, so why not come back? Shrugging it off, he walked into his new dorm room to see his roommate had already arrived there. "Hey, you must be Christian." He gave a very short smile to the guy before tossing his bags on his bed. He started to unpack his stuff and realized he was going to have to actually talk to his roommate. "So is this your first year here?" He asked still unpacking his stuff and putting it where it needed to be. He wasn't the social type, but he had plenty of friends? It was a mystery even to himself. "You can do the rest yourself." Armonie turned around towards the girl that had entered the room with another boy. She chuckled slightly as the boy dropped the girls stuff on the bed telling her she could do the rest alone and then left the room. It reminded her of something Aiden would do if she didn't use her secret weapon.
"Hello I'm Mari, that was my dumb brother." The girl said smiling at her as she started to place some of her clothes into her closet.
"Hey I'm Armonie, and that's my brother, the boy laying on my bed, he's supposed to be helping me but he to lazy." Armonie replied then stuck her tongue out at Aiden who was laughing on the bed. She continued to put her stuff inside her closet, a silence filling the room. Armonie turned around as she Aiden left the room waving bye to her and Mari. She waved back at him and then went and locked the door. As she made it back to the closet she heard Mari ask her a question. "So are you excited for the dance tonight cause I know I am."
"Oh i don't really care, i'm not much of a party person but i guess it would be nice to meet new people i mean since i'm so shy." Armonie replied as she climb up the ladder so she could make her bed. "Why are these beds so high, this is going to be difficult for someone as short as me." Said a laughing Armonie as she stood on her tip-toes and jumped a little so she pull the sheet down a little further. After finally getting it down she looked around and noticed she still had two more boxes but after emptying 7 boxes by herself she was just to worn out. Armonie placed the unopened boxes at the bottom of her closet and closed it.
"So what's your major?" Armonie asked trying to make small talk, her shy persona wasn't going to get in her, not in college.
Aiden
Aiden walked to back to his dorm listening to his iPod. He laughed in his mind as he remember what his sister had said about him and how he was supposed to help her. He was but she just had so much stuff and every time he placed something somewhere she would get mad and yell at him telling him that's not where it belonged so he just gave up and let her do it by herself. Aiden pulled out his key and opened the door to his room to see his roommate sleeping on his bed. Not wanting to wake the sleeping boy Aiden walked over to his stuff and began to unpack his stuff quietly. He opened his suitcase and started to take out his already folded clothes and placing them inside his dresser. After all his clothes were packed away he opened up his laptop so this he could check his e-mail and Facebook page.
When you're in love
Everything feels like it goes your way
And when you're in love
Everyday feels like the perfect day
And I hope that I feel this way forever
Hope that it's me and you together
Aiden quickly pulled out his cellphone as his ringtone began to play. He quickly opened the text from his sister stopping the music from playing. 'hey there a party 2nite 4 freshmen u going?' his sister texted him. 'Of course' he replied and then made sure to put his phone on vibrate just in case she texted back, he didn't want to be rude and make alot of noise and wake his roommate.

She smiled and got up, " I have to at least try, right? We can leave together and split when we both find someone knew to talk to?Or not which ever..."Alaska starting thinking about how letting people know who she might have the same affect it did in high school and back home. So she thought of not letting her last name get around.
----
Anthony had just heard the announcement and was smirking, "First day and already a party. Now I just have to find a girl there and I guess I can live here just fine." he was fixing up his side of the room.
"And I guess no roommate. How fucking convenient." he plopped himself onto his bed and though about how he'd would actually have to try to pass his classes. After a while he decided it was time to explore the campus. He got up and went into the hall, hoping to meet someone, make a new friend.

“Hey,” Colton began, trying to grab the boy’s attention. “So I guess you’re my new roommate, huh?” He didn’t say it harshly or in a bad way, but of course it all depended on how the boy took it.
-------------------------------
Callie looked up and stared at her roommate in disbelief. “No way, I’m like that too! All of the time actually.” She said sheepishly. “I’m planning on going to the party too, although I’m not even sure of what to wear. And I’ll probably end up just like you said. A nervous wreak I mean.” It’s true. That’s why Callie usually never goes to parties. It’s just not her. This time, though, she will have to make an effort to attend it and try to make new friends. Or else college is going to suck.
While Brittany opened her laptop to shop online, Callie was busy trying to make her bed. ’She was right… this isn’t really as easy as it seemed. The ends are the most difficult.’ Callie almost fell from losing her balance but managed to grip on to something. After finishing the task Callie felt quite proud of herself. She walked over to where Brittany was and looked over her shoulder just in time as she asked her a question.
“Hm.. A TV would be nice…” She didn’t even know that they were allowed to bring such things. Knowing that she would have at least brought a few more things. Callie’d have to remind herself to visit the library to buy some stuff online… or she could simply ask Brittany if she’d let her borrow her laptop. “Everything’s good. As long as you don’t buy stuff as to the point where we’ll have to struggle just to get inside.”
