Into the bar came a woman with white hair. Not uncommon, not at all. In Gambits, that is.
Whats more, she had a Katana strapped to her belt.
That isn't Mary-Sue-ish. Not a bit.

However, the fact that this woman actually knew how to use them properly was what separated her from the rest. The curved, sharp side was pointed up, not down like most unexperienced amateurs would.
She came in, however, confused. She was wearing her full kendo outfit, minus a colored belt. It was a pure black sash, devoid of rank.

The woman had found little difficulty opening the door, and she found out why when she saw Alexander, the man with the blonde beard, sprawl onto the floor. She threw her hands up in panic, then quickly knelt down beside the man, callused kneed not hurting a bit.
That's what kendo did to you. Made your knees tough. "I'm sorry, sir, are you alright?" She said rather calmly, contrasting to her panic from earlier. She picked up the notepad and attempted to brush it off.

"I...I thought it was quite nice..."

"Hmph. Well, if you don't want to be bowled over, then I'd suppose so," she said with a laugh, adjusting her Tsuka and Katana to lay on the flat of her back instead of bothering her on her side. It would be harder to draw, but there weren't any other Kendo students here...
Which was strange, because she'd just come from a demonstration. She still didn't know how she ended up here.
She looked over the picture again before handing it to him. "It looks mighty accurate...oh, and I'm Ariane. Ariane Cane, nice to meet you, as well." She said, taking his hand and shaking it powerfully. Her hands were slightly calloused, as well.

"Not a brawler, but I am pretty good at Kendo," said Ariane, smirking. She thought pretty well of her skill. Of course, she had been doing this for years. She had to think something of it. Hmm. Possibly a little more smug than some, however.

"It is a katana. Longsword, yes, but a different kind."
She thought about his words a bit.

"Wait, wait...vampires? They don't...exist."

"Hah...I have half a mind thinking that you're tricking me, and the other half thinking that you're really crazy," Ariane said, raising an eyebrow at the sketches and looking over at Timo as he stepped in. His voice took her aback.
"Well, isn't that equally as...strange." She mumbled, pulling her katana back to her side so she could catch her hands onto the hilt to rest them there.

"Oh! I forgot to ask...do you all know what town this is?"

"It's not a claymore!" Ariane complained, taking the katana within it's sheathe out of her belt and holding it in her outstretched hands to him. "It's a katana! It's Japanese! And I was at a demonstration and somehow I got here!" She said, frowning.

"And...Wing City? Where...where is that? We're still in...Washington? I suppose not..."

At a cold gust of air, Ariane hunched her shoulders. "What...what was that!?" She hissed, arching back her head. She turned briefly, her eyes coming onto Kiriel, eyes widening.
"Is this a...stage bar or something? A theater?"

"I'm still not so sure about this...I've never even seen one, but some of the things that just happened in Gambits...well, I guess I owe you one," said the woman with white hair, a katana strapped to her waist. She peered outside the window and squinted her eyes.

"What's going on out there?" She asked, fingers dancing on the hilt of her sword.

"Yeah...I had a feeling you'd say something like that," Ariane said, adjusting her shirt and tightening her belt. She was still in her black kendo outfit, the black hakama rising just above her ankles. "Though...I have to say, I wish I didn't have to get something like this messed up. It's expensive, you know!" Ariane said. She remembered how her jaw dropped when her Sensei told her the price.

Ariane raised an eyebrow and sighed. "Cthulhu? I don't even...don't bother. Just don't bother at all. Just show me the way."

The woman rolled her eyes. "I'm not a ninja, I'm a samurai! Get it right!" Ariane complained as she rolled her eyes.
At the description of Cthulhu, the kendo girl almost laughed. "Ancient Alien under the sea...yeah. I see where you're goin' with this. Mmmhmm," Ariane said, sighing, not for the last time that night, and walking over to Alexander, casting a glance at Yin as he pushed that dangerous red button.

"I think I'm ready, Alexander. Of all things, I have a sword-" as if to accentuate her point, Ariane drew out the saya, which was the Japanese word for the sheathe, and shook it a little to show him. The blade rattled within the scabbered a bit.
She then tucked it away into her belt, one hand on the saya, one hand hovering over the tsuka, which was the handle.

"Eyes? Isn't that...a bit of a small target?" Ariane said nervously, shuffling her feet. She looked at the door, flexing the fingers that hovered over the suka. Well, imps were small, right? So she wouldn't have to stretch too high to get the eyes, right?
Right...

At least, those were her thoughts before the door was pulled open, revealing the behemoth that was ape-demon-ox. With a hole.
In it's stomach.

"You mean you didn't even know what we were fighting?!" Ariane said, grabbing the suka and pushing out the saya with it, pulling back the sheathe to reveal the sword as she pulled it out. The silvery blade glinted in whatever light there was present, and Ariane held it with both hands, the tip aimed at its throat.

Ariane went in, trying her best not to hesitate as she loaded the sword up to her shoulder, the blade erect. She then slashed it in a 'c' motion outward, aiming for it's stomach. Alas, it had to be that the thing blocked it with its arm, then tried to swing at her.
Ariane didn't take the chance. In one fluid motion, she leaped back, out of the range of the demon, then loaded the sword up to her stomach, blade pointing outward, running forward in an attempt to stab the thing in the stomach.

This, the reason why she was rushing up to it, sword in hand, extended outward, tip pointed toward the void. She gritted her teeth, felt sweat drip from her brow, felt the singular beats of her heart flutter by. She attempted to drive it through quickly, then pull it back for another possible stab if she had the chance.

Ariane certainly did retreat, and quickly, too, standing in a cat-stance with both knees slightly bent, one foot facing forward, another diagonal, and her legs, more or less, together. She held her sword out toward the demon as a precaution.
Which she found out was useful after the imp sucked onto Alex's head.

Almost with a smile, Ariane raised her katana above her head, and, with a very sweeping, fluid motion, did a temple strike to the imp's midsection, careful not to carve up Alexanders face.

She was sure he wouldn't be thankful for that.

As the demon was cut in half, Ariane flicked her blade to the side, splatting the blood off of her sword as it ran down the blood groove. She'd have to clean it later.

When Alexander dashed toward the truck, Ariane's jaw dropped.
"...I'm sorry...what?" She gasped, running after him, blade streamlined behind her as she hopped into the truck. "You're a genius, Alex. Really, you are."

Now having time to rest and realize what she had just done, Ariane seemed to suddenly become very weary as she leaned onto the back of the van, sheathing her bloody, ashy katana, her eyes fogged over as she closed them.

"Yes, because I have a major in ass-kicking." She said, taking the saya out of her sash and laying it down beside her.

"Mmhmm. Mhmm. Mmm. Hmm," Ariane said, absently nodding with her eyes closed. Not opening her eyes, Ariane stretched a hand out to grab Alex by the front of his shirt and drag him close, pursing her lips as if she were about to do something. "A very wonderful relationship, I think," she said, drawing him closer.
Alas, however, she merely took her other hand and lightly smacked him across both cheeks. "You're crazy...you're batass crazy," she said with each light slap. She then pretend-punched him in the stomach.
"Like hell you got me into this. But I'm staying."

"Major, yeah. Yeah. Without a licence. Or a pass," the woman mumbled with a smile, putting her hands behind her head and putting her feet up on the opposite seat, or whatever was there. It was then that she revealed that her feet were bare, and that they had very small cuts on them from fighting on the street.

"Stop being such a pansy. You just had a demon on your face and you're whining about me slapping you? I didn't even put force behind it," she grinned, putting her hands on her stomach. "And you are crazy, just so you know. Oh! And I keep forgetting to ask...where will I be rooming? I haven't any money."

Within her trek to explore Wing City and figure out how in all the worlds she even ended up in such a vast, crazy, completely random set of lands, the white-haired kendo student walked down a path that eventually lead her to the well-worn bridge.
At first glance, she didn't trust it at all. She walked to the edge of the cliff, wondering if there was a path to walk down.
She was shown the majestic, terrifying death drop and sharp rocks at the bottom.
Well, there really was no other way, then, was there?
Nervous, the kendo student, adjusted her saya, which was the scabbard of the sword, so it was flat against her back.

She took her first bare-footed step.

Looking up, Ariane spotted a figure at the other side. She stopped, mid-step, to bat at the hakama that she wore around her legs, the baggy, pleated pants that kendo students often wore. It was good for fighting, but she feared the cloth might get caught on the side of the bridge.
However, she couldn't worry for long. Paranoid, she told herself. She was paranoid.
Observing his pause, Ariane took this as an invitation for her to pass first, as well. Smiling to herself, because she was glad there were somewhat dignified gentlemen in this place, she began to walk upon the bridge, steps proud, face beaming.

Though...her eyes did linger on that trident a fair bit.

"Wai- what?!" Ariane exclaimed as he claimed the wooden structure, raising his weapon high and striding towards her. She grasped the sides of the bridge, the turbulence unwelcome. "Your bridge? Well, sir, why doncha put a sign up, huh?" She half snarled. He baited her! He completely lead her into a trap!
Dignified gentleman her foot.

Not wanting to back away from the challenge (though the bridge did make her mighty nervous) she adjusted the saya so it was back on her side again, one hand reaching for the tsuka, the handle of he sword. "What'll you do if I don't, huh?!"
