It was not perfect response, but Daiyu understood that if the risk paid off then the dangers were worth it, yet in her semi-cybernetic form she felt an unease. Which was really odd as she was not programmed to respond to such human emotion, it was more primal, a dread so to speak. Maybe she should see about getting upgrade and prevent this blip in her code. Nonetheless she kept marching through the heavy snow continuing to monitor her sensors to try detect anything outside of the two things of note to be detected, nothing was showing up, not even bodies. This of course made no sense to the cyborg and though she figured no answer she spoke up, "Captain, my continuous scan picked up nothing of note outside of what we discussed, but my scan unlike yours is also programmed to find any dead tissue, now that is the really strange thing Sir, nothing. There is literally no tissue in this area, there would usually be some, but I can't find any sign of it, I suggest we tread carefully."

After that she tried to reason with herself, why was she so nervous and uptight, this was preliminary. This was just a normal mission, but something seemed to have screwed with her electronic synapses and activated some repressed systems that were ultimately shut down, emotions were beginning to activate and though she tried to keep them switched off, something just kept activating them, her whole body was rebelling against her. Knowing she should say something she heaved a sigh, "Captain one other thing, my repressed emotional responses that were deactivated keep going active and my attempts to keep it in control, merely maintain this. But nothing should be able to mess with my electronics, Paia herself told me that outside of the unknown, nothing could ever juryrig my components and change my active systems."

Frowning, Xiaolian tucked her phone back into the safety of her coat. "There's more to this than meets the eye.." She muttered as she pushed her way back out of the crowd. Fletcher had been cagey when asked directly about Elysium, and that was never a good sign. 'I wonder...' Xiaolian thought to herself as she melted back out of view, eventually slipping out of sight.

There was a great deal to tell the Council, and whatever their decision was, it more than likely would call for a few heads. Xiaolian just hoped they didn't shoot the messenger this time, it was getting more and more difficult to get skilled people to work with them.

It was quite dark outside, Though there were lights here, and there but it wasn't enough. It wasn't hard for the two androids to see through the thick dark blizzard night, as one stand beside an average tall male who's skin is light brown, has light brown, pupil-less eyes. His hair is black with a blue tint, it's hair is styled in a short, spiky, fanned-ponytail. He wears a usually wears a fitted mesh body suit that stretches from his neck down to his thighs.

He wore a plain black t-shirt Over this he typically wears a tan overcoat with a purple in-seam and a pocket on each side. The two who were standing beside him was covered in aqua blue, and wore a white helmet. There was a sheath on his shoulder, there that rest inside of the sheath was a sword.

This male teruya wore a pair of black goggle's, and a purple scarf covering his mouth, and part of his neck.

"Teruya I'm sensing some energy source near by" Xel 23 says, while walking, and scanning the area. "Well you guys go on ahead, I'll catch up" He commanded.

Soon the two androids began to float up, and darted away leaving teruya behind.

Paia's avatar frowned at the disjointed response from Aiyanna. She tried reaching out again, but there was little to no response. Finally, after a few nanoseconds to ponder the situation, Paia opened a communication channel to Nikolai.

<< Verhasst. >> she addressed him. << I have a secondary objective for you. When you have finished investigating the anomaly, go to these coordinates. There is a malfunctioning android that we need to extract. >>

"Acknowledged, Paia." he replied in his Russian accent. "We will be there momentarily."

Paia nodded before returning her attention to the nigh-comatose Aiyanna. "It's okay. Don't be afraid. Help will be there soon."

Agares hummed at Daiyu's observation and remark. "That is... unsettling, to say the least. Stay sharp, and watch the shadows. It could be a sign of something paranormal. Trust your gut, but remember your head. You should be equipped with some mana distortion grenades just in case. Paia, can you look at her cybernetics?"

Meanwhile, Nikolai and his group were approaching the origin of the sudden life signal. Their infrared, hypersonic, and nightvision sensors lit their way through the dark blizzard that battered futilely against their nanosuits.

"Approaching coordinates." one of the troopers said. "I... Think I see something."

"Maintain cloaking." Nikolai replied. "Let's see what we're dealing with..."

Aiyanna finally managed to come to her senses after a brief respite as her mind re-calibrated her body. With everything finally resynchronized, she pushed herself up and looked around; surveying her surroundings before climbing to her feet.

"I've got to get out of here before they get me." She said quietly to herself as she looked up to the ceiling, and then she stepped forward; bare feet tapping against the cold concrete floor.

Tentatively, she reached out to wrap her slender fingers around the door, and then she pushed it open, a rush of frigid air blowing in through the door and kissing her face. But it seemed the Android didn't mind the frigid temperatures, and she stepped outside, bare feet crunching in the snow as she looked up.

Though when she pinged the Aschen Datalink, it seemed she managed to get their attention, this meant that Ereb would be on a time limit, as no doubt the Imperial Fleet would be sent to Cryo to investigate.

Nodding she continue to feel the unease as her systems kept being activated, still she stayed stoic on outerward appearance. Nonetheless her mind and electronic were in constant war, which made her grip her rifle even tighter and cautiously peer around the area with alert synapses performing scans. Despite there being no sign of life or life signs for that matter except themselves, the A.I and finally one other person around the place. There were no life signs or even sign of DNA animal or human, that disturbed her very much so, even in tundra like environment there was still micro-organism... Yet despite her sophisicated hardware and software she could sense nothing except what she had declared. Her scans were meant to be so intricate they could find any sources of life or heat, so either they were faulty or something really strange was going on.

Yes outwardly Daiyu completely cold and electronic, pretty much a machine, but despite many advances it was impossible to remove all humanity from a person in her state, thus the synapses were controlled and switched off. This meant from all perception she was more machine than woman. This is what she preferred, although having loss of control currently with her own inner workings, was problematic to put it lightly.

Finally PAIA would finish her scan and she would discover all around them was a force, it was surrounding, millions of them, they did not have celluar bodies instead they appeared composed of something unknown and they kept trying to change or force different reactions to her electronic hardware, her software had anti-virus preventing any complete control of body. Still, Paia would then communicate this to all, as well as telling about the fact by all accounts these millions of things surrounding us don't exist, but they do. No vision of any sort will find them, and they can interact with anyone.

"Aiyanna." Paia attempted to contact the android again. "From our records, it appears that your creators decommissioned you, but failed to complete the order. During your activation, you reestablished your link to their network. I predict the likelihood of Aschen vessels coming to this system to terminate you is extremely high. If you desire to remain operational, I highly recommend that you come with us. We will protect you, and we can learn from one another."

Meanwhile, Nikolai and his team had reached the location of the anomaly. The spread out in a search pattern with their rifles in a ready position. However, whatever had tripped their sensors was no longer present. Nikolai and the other Alpha Troopers, still troubled by the unexplained disappearance of the life readings, altered their course to the other objective.

"Paia," Nikolai's voice rung on the channel. "There are no signs of the life readings. I recommend calibration and diagnostics on the probe's sensors when we return to H.Q. We're on our way to extract the android."

<< Acknowledged. Make haste, however. I believe we will be having company soon. Time is of the essence. >>

"Affirmative." he replied. "Double-time, rookies!"

Slowly, Aiyanna stepped out from inside the small building, her bare feet crunching against the snow as she stared upwards, shielding the sun from her eyes and focusing on something in the skies above Cryo.

She listened to PAIA's pleas, before she sent a cryptic response.

"The neuroanatomy of fear and faith share common afferent pathways. Flip a coin. Increased vascular pressure marks the threat response. Free will scuttles in the swamp of fear, do not fear the word."

Her mind was still working through the haze that came with activating for the first time since her decommissioning at the hands of the Imperial authorities.

High in orbit above New Canton, a single Reverence I class planetary assault carrier jumped into geostationary orbit above the small settlement. Slowly the massive Aschen assault carrier began it's descent to the planet's surface. Once the Reverence I completed it's jump, three Iconoclast battleships, four Hera class robotics cruisers, two Gemenon class cruisers, and an Athena class missile cruiser jumped into orbit in formation around the Reverence.

the Imperial Task force had arrived.

At this point, Daiyu sensors would pick up the distant signal of something within orbit, already feeling uneasy she continued to grip her rifle much like a lifeline modifying her electronics to continue to scan the furthest reaches. The whole thing that they may be now surrounded by some unseen force did equally alarm her and make her wish they could get out of the open. Compared to the biting wind and sharp blizzards the forces were far more imposing. Nonetheless she took Paia advice and immediately lowered her visor, things did appear to act which was an improvement nonetheless they needed to make it the records. Thus she continued marching onwards to the suggested building with records.

It was outright horrifying that whatever around them had no heat or DNA or that there was no DNA around the area, no dead skin, no bactaria. That being said she immediately spoke up, "Agares, check your orbital scan, there is something heading for us. I have no idea what it is, but I have a feeling but that it may be the owners of that A.I. How should we handle this?" they were not far from the records buildings, in fact the town hall though covered in a miasma of snow and sleet, stood about four hundred yards. It did appear the biggest structure, which did help things, and unlike the other buildings her scans concluded it would be warm inside.
