"Well, I assure you I'm hu- I mean a woman! I'm a woman."
You wouldn't believe me if I said I was human!
"Er...I'm Casia, by the way." She extended a clawed, cinnamon hand. The skin was her namesake, and she wasn't so sure she was fond of that, but it's not like she could change it, after all. "Who're you, then?"

He might have noticed that her own grip was weak. Without her demonic aura, she was powerless. She'd given up everything. Everything, to become human, because, out of all the races she'd both terrorized and observed as a demon, they were the most...well, she didn't know what entranced her about them, but she liked it.

"Nice to meet you, Phoenix," she said, her eyes lightning up. This lad was human. At least, in her eyes, he was. No matter what people looked like on the outside, inside a lot of them were still just that. "What you doin' here, then?"

"Me?" Asked Casia, tapping her fingers together. "Oh, well, you know. Hiding. And drinking. Not so much drinking, but you know..." she said, trailing off. "How come you drink so much? Got something you need off your chest? That's what Rino does, usually. Drinks himself to the floor. I hope you don't do that, because then I'd feel obligated to take care of you now that I've met you and then I just wouldn't be sure what to do after that!"

"Don't age and don't die? Well, that doesn't that sound familiar..." said Casia, eyes becoming overcast for only a second. That was one of her demonic traits she hadn't been able to rid herself of. She was still only a true nineteen, but she knew that she'd be that way for a long time if she didn't correct it. "And you don't make friends and don't get close to women...that's really unfortunate. Does that mean I should give up?" She asked, looking at him with sullen eyes. That was just flat and unexciting! Why not make friends!? And what was wrong with women?

"Oh, well it's good to hear you won't be dropping to the floor. I'm not too strong, you know. It's hard enough to get someone with hollow bones out of here!"

"...wh-what? Why was I staring? Ah...why do you think I was staring?" Said the demon girl, quirking a brow in confusion. She wasn't an idiot, she'd swear by that, but there were certain things that left her clueless. She attempted to work it out, though. "I know what you mean, however. I know that when I grow older, myself, the same thing will happen. I suppose you could say I'm afraid. It's not something I bargained for."

As some kind of dragon came out of a very random wormhole, Casia stared blankly. "Ah...h-hello." She said.

"I am." Said Casia, now even more confused than before. Why did he think she was staring? "It's something left off after I...ah...stopped being...a..." She wasn't sure if it was the wisest thing to tell a stranger, even if he looked harmless. She had to wait and see.

To mister dragon on the side, she only pursed her lips and hummed. "Ahh...we're talking about...each other."

"Yeah," she said, her tail slowly unwrapping from its hold around the stool. The tail lay limply on the ground. "So I guess you're pretty smart, right? You must have figured it out before. My previous condition, I mean." The same condition that had her running and hiding constantly. "Rino's the same way. I don't think he wants to stop being immortal, though. He thinks I don't know he kept some of his powers. I'm not completely clueless all the time."

"Y-you think so? Some people don't take too kindly to the horns..." she said, shrugging, though she gave the man a small smile. How charming. That was quite nice of him to say, Casia thought. "Not human? Then what are you? You act very human. Your eyes don't look it, but I think they're...ah. Handsome." Guys didn't like being called 'pretty.'

"You've died? But you just said you're immortal!" Casia pointed out. "That really doesn't add up, Phoenix. It doesn't." Unless he was a vampire or a demon, like she used to be. However, he lacked that sort of demonic aura that she could still sense. She'd kept that part of her only out of caution. "Well, I like your eyes this way, too. They really stick out." Oh, yes they did, and Casia found herself staring into them quite a lot.

"That sounds just a little creepy. I hope nothing bad happens to you between...deaths. It's actually a little interesting. Oh- but..." The girl trailed off, looking towards the door. After a second, her eyes widened in absolute fright. Her breath became quick and her heart five times that. "I'm...I' so sorry, sir! I have to go!" She blurted out all of a sudden. They...someone. Someone was here. She up and left from her stool, bolting quite suddenly, the last thing seen her cinnamon tail, slipping through the doorway.

"Rino, this doesn't seem...ah...should we really come back?" Asked a cinnamon-colored demon girl, her long, think tail flicking back and forth. She stretched out her batlike wings, the fingers cringing somewhat before she folded them tight against her back. She was speaking to the demon lad beside her, who had a similar visage, all except for his cool grey skin.
"I mean, after what happened last time, I'm not sure if..."

The male demon whipped around, sharp eyes glaring at her. "I want...a drink." He said slowly, and the girl demon digressed, sighing heavily.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever."

"And why is it that I'm probably the most human one in here, and yet I don't look human at all?" Came the lament from a young woman at the counter, muttering to herself as she stirred her amber drink in the most miserly fashion possible. The demon was certainly right. With her fleshy horns, cinnamon skin, batlike wings and long, thin tail, there was no way anyone would guess that she was as good as human anyway. Anyone would say 'demon', but the fact of the matter stood that she was, simply, no longer a demon. All her powers and aura were gone. Everything except for this horrible form and her immortality.

Really, you think she'd be happy about it.

At first, Casia was not paying attention to anyone either, though as a few footsteps got decidedly closer, she turned her head to lay large, brown eyes onto the man who was quite untidy with a distant...no, no, they were not distant. In fact, they were very focused. Right onto the seat not far from her. She felt as if a bit of unease should arise within her, as Rino was not here to protect her, but she did not think a man who seemed somewhat uncoordinated could, or really would, so much to her. She did not feel the glances of Allenn or the Coppertop fellow in her inquiry of Weston.

Even Ixu Shen's yelling did not deter her attention.

Indeed, Casia did feel it rising up within her, and at once she feared it, wanted to bolt from her seat with everything she had and keep running. It took a long, long time for it to pop, and for Casia to let out a breath she had not realized was being held. She stared more now, wide-eyed, at Weston, her hand shaking as it grasped her slippery glass. She looked away, just momentarily, then back to him. Oh, what kind of insanity it took to muster the courage to ask one simple question.

"Are...are you alright?" She asked him, biting her lip.

The young woman felt another sense of unease rise up within her, gnawing at her stomach almost like a hunger, though instead of propelling her to go towards something, it was pushing her away from the bar a whole. She did not know this boy. She had never met him in the past, and yet...

Those eyes were indeed not his own.

"You...did not trouble me," she said slowly, never tearing her gaze from him. She was terrified. Unbelievably so, and yet he had not done a thing. Not a damn thing. "You have no room to worry." She was speaking from a far corner of her mind, most of her attention focused in his face. Something changed. Something changed very, very suddenly.
Rino, you better find me soon and help me.

"Ah...what's your name?" She asked shakily.

Now this, yes, this was disturbing. She felt her hands shake even more intensely as it wrapped around her own glass, squeezing it almost until cracks could be seen. Several things happened at once and none at all. She had to make sure that, yes, her hands, they were still wrapped around her own glass. They were not leaving unless she let go. They would not jump to another space in the bar, like...like his own did. She was not sure what she had seen, and yet she kept her eyes on the lad. Why?

"Weston, then," she breathed, the answer nearly a choking cry. She hurt. Why? Looking down, she saw that she had been digging her claws into her palm. She did that. She remembered it. Yes...everything was fine...

"I'm...I'm Casia..." the girl hiccuped. Her wings. They were clasped so tightly to her back that they ached. She needed to get away, to run, to hide...Rino! She needed him! She wanted him!

And yet, even now, she smiled to this stranger. "It's nice to meet you."

The once-demon was frozen, both in fear and because some invisible force was keeping her there. She did not know what it was, and she knew she did not like it. Not for her life. Not for anything. The shuffling hung on her mind, tugging it down, trying to dip it into a pool of madness. She had to close her eyes, fully, squeezing them shut with all her might, to try and keep her sanity. However, it might have all gone when she was greeted by his smile, so close, so...he was beside her. She could have screamed, but her voice was taken by her shock. She sat, mouth agape, nails drawing blood from her palm once again.

"Th-thank you," she whimpered. She could barely do even such. The second he hissed, the second his smile widened in a grin, her hand shot out to grab his arm. It was involuntary. She did not know why she even did it, what triggered it. It simply happened.

It seemed Ichiro outnumbered the amount of 'daggers' that Rino had, not that he was worried. The dragon didn't seem hostile, and that was usually good enough for the demon. As her wing was healed, Casia only let out a sigh in defeat. She shortly glared at Rino, but turned back to Ichiro and Paul pleasantly. "Yes, thank you. Don't mean to be trouble, really...I guess I was just spooked by something when I came in."
Rino raised a brow, looking at her. What? Trouble?

"Oh, but what is a dragon and a human doing together? Not often I see that."

"Your Bonded?" she asked, listening as he explained. She nodded to herself, somewhat understanding. Not quite what she and Rino were- no, he was 'bonded' to her only because of duty. The only thing they shared was their appearance. "That makes sense. Not that I fully understand, but I get the general idea. "Does that happen often between your two races? I've known of elves taming dragons, but never humans." Rino stayed to the side, thinking quietly.

"And it seems your kind is very intelligent. That's a relief to hear. Back where we're from they are very, ah..." she looked to Rino, then back to Ichiro, "Feral." One of many reasons they had left. Or, well, Casia had left and dragged Rino along. But it became very complicated. "It sounds like a wonderful thing you have. I'm almost jealous! Heh. Not quite, though."
