Watching this boy coming forward, Casia walked up to Rino, catching him by the arm. She felt nervous. Scared. She could not do anything at all, compared to Rino. With their powers, sure, but she did not want to be using those. Not at all. Not ever again.

"Ah...hello..." she mumbled, strands of black hair falling from her bun and sliding down her neck. Rino looked up to them, eyes switching back and forth between Casia and the blonde kid. They switched again as someone else came in. Where one came, others followed, he supposed.

He, too, observed closely.

The demon girl eased her grip on Rino's arm as the boy spoke. Rino just sighed and shrugged his arm out of her grip completely, leaving her in the middle of the bar while he made his way to the counter, landing himself upon a stool and plugging in a drink upon the touch-screen menu. There were no live tenders today on the job, so it seemed the robots were filling in. As always. His eyes turned to the side as he eyed the man with the cloak. What was he doing? Rino felt himself shiver. It was slight, but he felt it.

Casia felt it too, and it caused her to shudder just a bit, the same as Rino. She shook it off, however, and concentrated on this Kris fellow.

"Oh...well...all sorts of people come to Wing City and Gambit's bar." she told him.

Casia returned the smile, feeling assured that there was no harm in speaking to this young man. Though...that shiver. That coldness in her body...or something else. It was so strange. Maybe it was just her. Maybe it was nothing at all. Yeah.

"Though, interesting is an understatement. I've seen some pretty horrifying things in here."

The day was startlingly bright for the young woman. Since the second phase of the contract went through, she was seeing the world with two completely different eyes. When she walked, she could feel the soft grass and dirt beneath her feet, at times tickling it before she stepped, rather painfully, on a few small rocks. She would hiss in pain and stumble, but...it wasn't unwelcome. Because...she could feel. And her feet were soft, and her toenails were small and clear, as opposed to the ugly black talons they had been.

Life was so beautiful.

Casia combed her fingers through her black hair, walking down the path clad only in a light pink dress. Oh, the color complimented her so well, she thought. Especially when her skin wasn't a demon's red.

She paused, for a moment, whistling over her shoulder. Oh, how could she forget? "Mihai!" cried the woman. "Come on out, you!"

Bounding down the path after her was a dog, which trotted next to her as she continued. Once she turned around the corner, however, she paused, gasping.

"...oh, no." she said, running up both to the wounded man on the ground and the child. "What happened here?"

The woman stepped back out of surprise as he rudely spoke to her, her hands clasping at her chest. She looked at the young boy, frowning. "Do you know that young man?" she asked him. Mihai kept around her legs, ears flopping back and forth as he tried to discern the situation.

When the prince fell to the ground again, despite his rudeness, the young lady became concerned. She knelt next to him, her delicate hands reaching out to lay a hand on his shoulder. "Oh, sir, please be careful!" she warned, looking up at the child.

"I know he wasn't exactly kind, but would you please help me, ah...help him?"

The young woman turned to look at Kiyomi as she landed, eyes widening. "I...think we have a bit of company," she said to the stubborn man. "Here, let me try to help you up. I..."

She gave her eyes to Kiyomi, nodding. "Yes, well...hello." she told her. "Ah...who are you?"

The young woman was just a little appalled at Firaga's insults. She stood up with him, helping him balance on his feet. "Sir, I don't think you should say such things..." she mumbled, mostly to herself.

Demon scum, huh...

She suddenly didn't feel so great being what she was in the human's skin, now.

The young lady gazed at Kiyomi, biting her lip. "Oh, that would be really useful, miss..."

Casia stepped back away from the prince, hands wrapping around her arms. "I'm...sorry..." she apologized, and for absolutely nothing at all. She looked to Kiyomi, blinking. Her eyes narrowed.

"Wait, how is it you know my...name?" she asked. "I never introduced myself at all. Um...are you..." she paused, bringing her attention to the boy, then to the prince again.

She frowned at the ground. "I don't know..." she said to Kiyomi.

Casia folded her arms, glancing at the brown-headed, pointy-eared man who completely coddled the prince boy. She bit on her lip.

"Oh, well, good, it seems as though you have found someone who knows you," she chirped, smiling. She looked at Matthew. "You're a very smart boy, aren't you?"

"Very strong, too, aren't you?" she said to Matthew, raising a hand to tousle his hair, then to casually wipe the tear from his cheek, as though she hadn't known what it meant. She drew her attention to the elves, clasping her hands behind her back.

"My, my. You must have a rather complicated story, here." she said to them, pursing her lips. She wondered if she should have alerted Rino. He was either around here somewhere, or in town. She could not be sure.

"Perhaps we'll even follow you. If you're lost, I know someone who knows their way around here a lot better than I do. It's beginning to get late, as well," she said, looking up at the sky, which was gradually growing darker.

"M-my name? Oh!" she squeaked, a hand coming up to the back of her neck to scratch it nervously. "Casia. It's just Casia." She looked between them, both at the elves and the small boy.

"And all of you?"

"That would be very lovely," said Casia, giving a slight, small bow to them, her hair flipping over her face momentarily until she straightened up.

"Are you alright with going with them, Matthew?" she asked the boy. Her attention flickered to the Prince and Jaeger. "It's really not a burden, is it? Town is so awfully far away! And you really must get attention, mustn't you?" she said with the kindest smile she could manage.

"I'm glad!" said Casia to Jaeger. Her smile was absolutely jubilant. She reached down to take Matthew's hand in one of her own, then over to the Prince, to grab his arm and help him toward the carriage, wherever it is.

"We have to hurry!" she told Jaeger. "Could you lead us to the carriage quickly? He's so terribly hurt. I'm getting even more worried, now."

As it began to rain, the woman frowned. Pretending to be amused, she pursed her lips together and made a quick whistle. "Wow, this weather! Didn't think it would start up so quickly!"

The whistle alerted someone else, not so far away, who had been resting underneath a lone tree. His eyes fluttered open, and he grabbed the sword at his side. He was too far to be heard or easily seen, but he knew where Casia was, and that they were leaving.

"How are you holding up, Firaga?" she asked him. "Alright?"

She squeezed Matthew's hand lightly. Her clothes and hair quickly became soaked, but Casia did not whine in the least.

"...um..." Casia frowned, bottom lip jutting out just a tad. "He's my...bodyguard," she said. "He'll be coming with, but he doesn't need to ride in the carriage, so it'll be okay. Let's go quickly, alright?"

The girl hesitated at the sight of the sword, but upon seeing that she was offering help, dodged behind her, hands on her face, scared for her life. The demon ran up to Clarice, trying to dodge behind her, as well. He looked behind him frantically.

The girl did just that, squeezing her eyes shut. The demon ran all the way up to them, but when Clarice refused to move, he grit his teeth.

"What are you doing?" he asked her, narrowing his eyes. His tail flicked, and that seemed to trigger something. He looked down at his appearance, ran his hand atop his head, along the horns, and widened his eyes. "No. You don't understand. Don't-"

He was barely able to get the words out before the bridge collapsed, and him with it. The young girl opened her eyes, watching the scene unfold before her, and let out a scream.

"RINO!" she cried. She looked at Clarice. "What have you done!?"

"Yeah, but..." The young girl dared not speak any more until they made their climb, trying to get all the way to the top with her weak arms and skinny legs.

The flutter of wings caught her attention, and she chanced looking down to try and find its source with her eyes. "He's coming back!" she chirped.

The girl did not hesitate to do so. She could not fly, after all, and she knew of the unfortunate end that would meet her if she let go. Her grip was tight as iron on Clarice's hand, and she even helped draw herself up when the time was right.

Something landed right behind the woman. Softly, with the flutter of those wings, and the sound of steel against scabbard. The demon stood right behind her, sword in hand.

The girl folded her arms and frowned, embarrassed. "Uh. Nothing important. Really! You see, uh, there might have been a bit of a mix-up..." She pointed to the grey-skinned demon. "This is Rino! He's supposed to be my bodyguard. I'm Casia." She held her hand out to Clarice, which prompted the demon to step forth.

"We're running from...them!" She pointed out to the other side of the bridge, where several other figures stood watching them from the shadows of the trees. One could only see several glowing lights surrounded in absolute darkness.
