Gal'mok Fireblade's Story

Without a sound, the door of the infamous bar swung open. Standing in the doorway was a figure cloaked in strange, alien, black robes. A dark cowl concealed his face in complete darkness. A series of metallic plates cascaded down his torso and ended at his pelvis. Gripped in his gloved hand was a long staff that resonated with unnatural energy. His stride was soundless as he approached a darkened booth in the corner of the bar. Those that attempted to catch the figure in their gaze would find their eyes strangely diverted from his form, as if their minds saw something that their eyes did not.

The strange figure sat alone in the darkened booth and observed the other tenants through the concealing shadow of his dark hood and cowl. His aura was incognito, serine, and calm, but lurking deep beneath was a fiery maelstrom of shadow and demonic inferno.

His target was close. He could feel him nearby. Perhaps the chase was almost over. Perhaps his quest will be complete. Perhaps he would finally know peace. But first, he had to be sure of the presence that loomed over the world. It could be him, but yet it could be not.

When the woman stepped into the bar, the cloaked figure immediately switched his shrouded gaze towards her. He could feel her essence - the hellfire burning within her. It was like a sweet aroma to him; an aroma that reminded him of home. How long had it been since he walked the deserts of Na'akul? Too long. How long had it been since he communed with The Abyss? Not long enough...

When the woman turned to look at the figure, her gaze would strangely divert and circle his frame instead of locking onto it, as if her mind saw something her eyes did not. His essence was shrouded beneath a complex web of psychic veils.

"Wydda sa uai, wodb-xdaak" his voice resonated with the Demonic tongue into her consciousness. Hello to you, half-blood.

The being gave a small smile from behind his cowl. Though Gal'mok was a master of demonic powers, and served as a conduit of vast amounts of fel energy, he was no demon. He was mostly mortal.

"E paidk zyfzy swy byd yfylru ytofosefr blat uai. qy oly nefklyk zhelesz, E swefn. Tou E efviely zatyswefr ab uai, wodb-xdaak?" his voice echoed into her mind yet again. I could sense the fel energy emanating from you. We are kindred spirits, I think. May I inquire something of you, half-blood?

Gal'mok chuckled softly. The woman saw him as a threat. That was for certain. Perhaps it was because he hid his face? Likely. He lifted his gloved hand and rested it on the surface of the table in an attempt to appear less menacing.

"I am looking for someone..." he said into her mind, now in Common. "I believe he may be here, but I am not certain. In order to be sure, I must check the only other place he could be. Half-blood, Strix is it? Strix, I desire access into the Underworld. I am sure a higher being such as yourself could supply me with a portal to that specific destination."

Gal'mok could feel the unholy fury building up inside her. Many decades ago, he would have just attempted to tether her to his will and absorbed her energies. Not anymore. Now he used his powers over the Hellfire because he must. If this half-blood was not willing to aid him in his quest to right his greatest wrong, then so be it.

"Very well..." he said calmly before rising from his seat and heading towards the door.

The strange cloaked figure stepped out the door and into the city. Hopefully he would find another passageway into the Underworld. He had traveled to the farthest edges of the Universe. A single locked door will not halt his quest...

The mysterious cloaked figure eyed the woman who was resonating with the euphoric sounds. Gal'mok, due to his incredibly powerful will and mind, remained virtually unphased by the siren's song. He observed the patrons with mild interest until his eyes landed on the powerful wolf-like being. Perhaps he could help him... His attention was briefly captured by the woman that was seemingly about to pass out. In her mad rampage, she stumbled passed the strange being's booth.

Gal'mok paid little heed to the woman that stumbled passed his booth. Instead he focused his attention on the lad that approached him. There was something about him that contradicted his appearance. That was it... It was his soul. The man's soul was very old... Older than his body. Interesting.

He had traveled to all four corners of the universe. Nothing would stop him in his quest now... Not when he was so close.

As the mysterious figure continued to observe the bar, he felt the attention of the strange female with the metallic wing-like appendages. However, the harder she would try to stare at him, the more her gaze would seem to deflect from his form - as if her eyes saw something her mind did not.

Gal'mok eyed the being known as Zekil. He could feel the hellfire burning through his veins. His soul was black as The Abyss. Clearly, this being was a demon, but why was it so... docile? Still, perhaps it could help him in his task.

As the conflict intensified, a lone presence watched with mild interest. He kept his distance, wrapping his form in darkness. Two glowing red eyes beneath the concealing shadow of a dark cowl watched the mysterious creature knowingly and cautiously. Strange alien black robes cloaked his body, disguising an incredible power beneath. Gripped in his gloved hand was a long staff that resonated with eerie energy. The mysterious cloaked figure eyed the exchange with mild amusement. Vampires had always fascinated him to a degree. They were strong, yet fragile in their own way - like all creatures. Gal'mok had discovered that they were particularly weak to fire. Though he did not feel the need to conflict with these beings directly at the moment, he could easily turn this building into a giant furnace. However, if they stood against him in his quest, he would not show them any mercy.

His intricately woven psychic cloak had obviously worked, but at this moment it became a detriment. Gal'mok tenderly pulled away the shroud, allowing the woman to more easily focus her mind on his form.

After serving the customer, Daemala had positioned herself behind the bar counter, in front of the Wall of Wine. Setting quickly to work, Daemala collected a generous supply of crystal dessert wine glasses, waving over a waitress to help her assemble the bottles of wine.

A few bottles in many catergories were taken to a number of tables, which were pushed mostly to the perimeter of the room. The bottles also lined up and down the bar a ways, near the door. Sliding the bottles far apart, the woman hummed a morbid tune.

As she placed the final wine glass in place, Daemala heard an entity, or whatever it was. Turning to address the customer that had previously eluded her, she smiled.

It was time for the Grand Opening!

Today must be your lucky day, She smiled as best she could at the stranger with the ominous voice. Simultaneously, two chefs popped from the kitchen and began arranging fancy finger foods on a large round table in front.

Welcome to the Grand Opening of Tauvyr Tavern. Would you like to sample an exotic import?

She managed to get her sentence out before the DJ officially turned up his volume. She hadn't even noticed him there in the back of the bar!
