Personality
Theatrical, a performer by both nature and profession.
Suffers from misophobia, the severity of which varies depending on his emotional and physical wellbeing.
Well spoken, almost never using bad language.
Suffers from recurring amnesia, only being able to store memories in his deck of cards.
Can be classed as a coward, as he will run from conflict, only fighting if his own life would be in jeopardy otherwise.
The combination of his phobia, memory loss and unwillingness to be hurt make it difficult to connect with people beyond what is necessary in his profession as a travelling entertainer.
Equipment
A deck of playing cards is on his person at all times. The deck stores his memories, each card having a specific set of memories linked to it. Sedra is unable to tell which card holds which of his memories.
The deck can be used for attack purposes; by destroying a card the potential energy stored within can be released in a different from. The aces correspond to Sedra's sense of time, location, self, and self preservation. The royal cards each manifest as a replica of a member of Sedra's 'family'.
In destroying a card the memories within are lost, and to replace a card that has been used a whole new deck must be created. Only one deck can be used at a time, so if a deck is depleted it must be destroyed in its entirety in order to create a new deck.
Helthas Vrass, the Jack of Clubs, frequently speaks to Sedra within his mind. The Jack is mocking, aggressive, and has a deep hatred for Sedra. Sedra also possesses a walking stick that can be converted into an umbrella.
So begins...
Helthas Sedra's Story
Helthas Sedra enters the bar with a flourish; well groomed, well dressed and card-motifed gentlemam.
Helthas Sedra critically examines a stool at the bar, then the bar counter itself, before sitting down, his posture prim.
Helthas Sedra watches the goings on in the bar with a keen interest, a deck of cards appearing in his hands. He wipes the table down with a handkerchief form his pocket before binning said item and beginning to make a tower with the cards.
Helthas Sedra finishes creating an elaborate house of cards, smiling, before making a slashing motion with ine hand, as if to knock it down: the tower vanishes into smoke, leaving the Jack of Clubs alone in Sedra's hand.
Helthas Sedra looks at the card in his hand, one gloved finger tracing the lines of the Jack's painted face; a face designed to be a styalised photonegitive of Sedra's own face. "Why so agitated, love? What have I done now?"
Helthas Sedra hums, as though the card responded to his question. "I can see that, little love, but I fail to see what it is that I've done."
Helthas Sedra frowns very slightly, still addressing the card in his hand. "Now that was rather rude. I'm not rude to you, love, so you could at least extend the favour the other way."
Helthas Sedra looks mildly affonted, tapping the card gently on it's painted face. "Now that was a vulgar thing to say. Shame on you."
Helthas Sedra turns the card this way and that in his hand, humming to himself. "No. No, don't do that. You're being quite rude, love."
Helthas Sedra sighs thinly, looking rather tired, the drawn, unhealthy grey of his face becoming apparent when his smile falters. "Please... please don't, love."
Helthas Sedra fixes the card with a weary eye. "You could just explain it to me. It would make it easier for the both of us."
Helthas Sedra glances at Siren, frowning slightly, before becoming distracted by the card. "At the risk of being rude; would you mind leaving me alone, love?"
Helthas Sedra flicks his wrist, causing the card to vanish. "I'm sorry, my love, but I really can't listen to you anymore today."
Helthas Sedra glances round at the sound of a young woman shouting, an expression of polite puzzlement on his face.
Helthas Sedra would quite like to cross the room and comfort the clearly unhappy young woman, but the animal on the floor keeps him rooted in place.
