Description

Image
The Thief from Elsweyr. "Though the black-night, the children want to know a story about our slavery; The edge of the mighty swords did clash, fallen by our arrows, did helmets smash upon the ground; Glory and fame is what the empire seek, but we are sworn to avenge our enslaved brethren; The deeds of the Dunmer did scorch our land, but our souls are full of anger, we are the warriors friend!, sons of the Fadomai! Let the battle begin, hail the Mane!"

Name:
Isha'arin Nenrijra
Gender:
Male
Race:
Khajiit(Cat-men)
The Khajiit are a race of feline creatures hailing from the province of Elsweyr, well-known for their keen intelligence and agility. While these traits make them superb thieves, Khajiit are also fearsome warriors, although seldom gifted with the skill to harness magical forces. This is not to say that Khajiit do not possess the ability, merely that strenuous training must be undertaken to make wielding magic a serious option, either in passive or aggressive actions.

Physiologically, Khajiit differ greatly from both the varied races of man and mer, not only in their skeletal structure (possessing a tail and digitigrade -toe walking- stance) and dermal makeup (the "fur" that covers their bodies) but in their digestion and metabolism as well. The Khajiit, along with the Argonians, make up the so called 'beast races' of the Empire, due to their therianthropic qualities.
Species:
Cathay-raht
Larger and stronger than the other sub-races, the Cathay-raht are often described by non-Khajiit races as "Jaguar-men". Although this certain Khajiit has a louder, more visible collection of stripes instead of the typical dots.
Age:
Twenty-nine
Religion:
Rajhin[/u]
[i]The Footpad / The Silent Walker
The thief-god of the Khajiiti, legend holds that Rajhin grew up in the Black Kiergo section of Senchal. In life, Rajhin was the most infamous burglar in Elsweyr's history, said to have stolen a tattoo from the neck of the Empress Kintyra as she slept. After his death, Rajhin was inculcated among the Khajiit gods, to serve as an example to them of cleverness and adroit ability. His blessing is most often asked for before undertaking activies of a less-than-lawful nature.

Weapon(s): Shortsword & Dagger(Iron and Steel)
"It's strange how some people wield two weapons at once, it's very strange, why don't they just use a shield? - House Hlaalu Guardsman.

Wielded Akimbo, these blades are light but easily breakable by hard Armour and stronger blades, but on an unarmored target and most creatures, these weapons are enough.

Armour:Thieves Outfit('Netch' leather and Cloth)
"Cured netch skin, durable, flexible, and variously colored, is used throughout the Empire in garments, armor, weapons, household goods, and furnishings. Raw skins and prepared netch leather are important export products of Vvardenfell District." - A wandering trader

The mix and matched suit of of armour has it's ups and downs. Ish'arin wears a single netch-leather gauntlet on his left and a wrist-guard on the other, leaving one hand free for vibration detection. While he disdains the use of a helmet, he also wears a long light-green cloak and hood, for 'stealthy' purposes. A leather vest and ripped, but good leather pants with 'Khajiit-capable boots' which is basically a boot with holes in certain places.

Special skills/traits/magical abilities:

Lock-opener:
He don't need no key, just a probe and a lockpick.
Bold and Charismatic:
Cheeky too, this Khajiit has got himself slapped, spat on at multiple times, but it doesn't come out without it's gains, even the most up-tight noble can't help but open up to the thief.
Sneaky and Acrobatic:
This Khajiit is light on the floorboards, and highly acrobatic on his feet.
Eye of Fear:
When used, direct eye contact must be made; it is not known how the cat-men inherited this; but when eye-contact is made and the Khajiit feels angry, it is a fearful visage of everything the foe fears.
Eye of the Night:
In the darkest room, a Khajiit can see perfectly.

So begins...

Ish'arin Grinned, then when the guard was distracted by the wolfing; he lashed out with a kick to the face, causing the guard to stumble backwards and then the Khajiit hit him over the head with a hand, the guard fell to the floor, out cold.

He turned to the wolfing, holding out the finger. "Now to answer this one's question, it was given to me by a member of your race, this one and him were good friends, it was gift while he dying." He said with a nod. "Are you a relative of that one? You look like it, not that this one can tell." He said with a devilish grin.

Ish'arin was jiggling the lock in the counter-till with his tail, the delicate thing curled around a lock-pick as it jiggled around as the clicking sounded in the acute hearing of the Khajiit. Then a stool was pushed nearby, making him jump up, the draw from the counter-till shoot out and hit the floor and the Khajiit looked surprised, the type of surprise that made someone seem guilty of doing something less-than-lawful.

"This one wasn't doing anything illegal, elf!" He said in almost a whisper, his tail already picking up multiple coins and stuffing them in a pouch by his waist.

He quickly darted out the back-door, eying the elf suspiciously.

Ish'arin had been stealing again; which was an understatement; he'd become an unwelcome guest to seventeen shops and stalls in two days already. He jumped over a stall with an equally amazed shop-keeper, brandishing a vicious cleaver. "Oi!" the stall-owner shouted, but was ignored as a couple of guards chased after Ish'arin, they'd (might) get promotions if they found his stash.

Isha'arin continued running as fast his legs could carry him; before jumping on a gutter and scampering upwards and continued climbing until he just rested outside Red's window, the perfect visage of his back blocking the window as the guards stomped around; looking for the annoying khajiit.

"Hehe, this one is to sneaky for them.."

This is Lorbloo Nuurk, reporting LIVE from just outside Gambit's Bar. Nobody can tell how it happened, and nobody knows where anyone went, that fateful day every single person within Gambit's Bar disappeared into what seemed like thin air. Yes, even the staff! Magical beings, robo-types, and humanoids alike just gone. But, to where? Are they still alive?

More questions than answers have arisen from the scene, whether or not a crime has been performed has yet to be determined. The WCPD suspects foul play but have seemingly nobody to blame. Many have speculated that this disappearance will be tacked onto the charges accrued by Zosimos of the Vankoryth Detente, however they haven't been officially named or associated with the incident to any official degree. Others are pointing fingers at the Aschen, but that theory is easily debunked with the remembrance of the treaties. We've reached out to Detente and Aschen officials, neither of which have offered comment on the circumstance other than to claim dissociation.

Inside Gambit's Bar, the discovery of a strange black sparkly void dust has officials concerned. All persons permit access to Gambit's Bar have been advised to not touch the void dust. I repeat, do not touch the void dust. Eyewitness reports claim that prior to the disappearance, a strange red glow had occupied the windows of Gambit's Bar - others claim it was just a local brown out, and that the light was playing tricks on their eyes.

While investigations continue, the Intergalactic News Network will be stationed here to report on whatever- and whoever -is found to be complicit in this mass disappearance. Stay tuned!
