Two figures came into Gambits that night. One was a woman. She was slight, somewhat tall, and had all of the features of a slayer; from the black, stretchy clothing to the silver blessed knives and abundance of vials attached to her hips to the sharp, predatory look to her eyes. Her hair was short, and there was a white strip in the front that looked as if it should have been more of a grey.

The second was a man much in contrast. He was large, hugely muscular, grizzly, unshaven, and had a much more unfocused, mean look to him. He had a thick jaw and heavy fists. The smell of dog simply oozed from his form. His black hair fell into his face in uncombed curls, and he wore the same black clothing as the slayer.

They moved to sit down at the counter, the slayer making no noise, the man making thumps. As they did, the slayer got up again, and very suddenly, looking at a screen in her hand. "I'm going to have to leave. Another job. You can handle this on your own."
"Funny." the man replied, though she was already gone. He heaved a sigh.

Timmon sat at the bar, calmly ordering a pint of mead. It was the only thing he found himself enjoying these days. A simple bottle of beer just would not do. Especially in those little bottles. Since being an experiment to the Slayer organization in Wing City, he had found himself with a miraculous metabolism. No one looking at him now would have known that he had been a walloping three hundred pounds in fat. Now, he was nearly two-fifty in muscle, and only as a human.

At the words of Helvegr, which he had barely been able to catch, he felt the hair on the back of his neck begin to grow and prickle. He shrugged to himself and took a large gulp of his mead. "Not here, Timmon. She ain't a job." Oh, yes, he knew the werewolf girl was there, but that did not mean he had to go on a rampage. He was alright.

Timmon caught sight of another figure that had come in. Some strange lad that looked a tad confused. Or maybe he just seemed...a bit too excited about something. Tim could not be sure. He rolled back his shoulders, and, in attempt to distract himself fully from the fact that there was prey (though, not completely in the ordinary sense) in the bar, he turned his stool around to face none other than Hero.

"A bit jumpy or summin?" said the large man, wiping the foam from his mustache. He peered at the boy carefully. There was something so odd about him he couldn't place.

Yes. Yes, this boy was definitely...strange. To say the least. Timmon took another slow sip from his pint, eyes never leaving the kid as he made his way over to him. He stopped, then mentioned some guy called Macguffin.

"Uh, who?" the gruff man grunted, thinning his lips. Further what plot along? Was that some kind of code name for an operation? "Wha' the hell are you talkin' about, kid?" he asked, placing the mug onto the table. He grinned at the shower comment. "If I took one too recent, the smell o' wet dog might be a bit more unpleasant."

He glanced the golden ears and tail, but did nothing about it. Dammit, he couldn't attack anyone unless they were targets or currently already making some kind of trouble. She was not doing either. She was fine. He was fine. Everything was fine.

"The hell is the author?" said Timmon, quirking a brow. His language was unintelligent and slurred. Anyone could tell that. It did not appear he got past High School in education, quite possibly. He watched the boy grab the table and babble like a complete, pure idiot. He was trying to flip the table?

...why?

"Oi, kid, I think you migh' need so-" Crash went the golden werewolf girl, and Timmon wouldn't go to help, either. Just because he had self control did not mean he felt like torturing himself to keep it. The nearer he got to a were or vamp, the more itchy his skin got, which was never a good sign. He focused again on Hero.

"You escape from the asylum?"

"Mhm," said Timmon, leaning back onto the counter and clearing his throat as the boy continued to babble on. He scratched at the back of his head with one hand, feeling the hairs shrink. "Yeah, well I can believe you didn't come from some asylum when ye stop babblin' all over." said Simmon, waving his hand outward, as if to illustrate the word.

"An' I don' even know whatcha mean by support character. Yer some kinda nutter." Freud told Hero, watching his display of a backwards boy scout sign. He looked to Helvegr, scratching his bearded chin. "Ain' supposed to kill nobody 'less they're a target. Migh' have to stop you if you try, too."

Timmon wiped his nose, leaving the mead where it was. Jaeda would come back soon. No need to drink too much all at one time. Not that it mattered. It took some damn heavy drinking for him to get drunk with his metabolism. "You should get y'self looked after, kid. S'not healthy to make a death wish. If you're gonna suicide I'm not s'posed to help you unless I'm ordered." he said, propping that elbow up onto the table. He looked to Helver.

"C'mon, now. Don't start nuthin'."

As Simen came in, the hair on the back of Timmon's neck rose and grew once more. A curse escaped his lips as she squinted his eyes. The smell of blood and lead...and wolf...just all at the same time was nearly overwhelming. For a weapon designed specifically to kill werewolves, and yet at the time time was only supposed to kill them on order or taunt...
God, it was just terrible for the largely buff man at the counter. He took up his mead quickly and began to gulp it down. What if this guy was the one Jaeda was after?

"Isn't that great? One werewolf comes in and attracts- what? What did she attract? Another werewolf, which, in turn, attracted a vampire. They're like magnets, I tell you. Like a fuckin' horde," came the smooth voice of the same young woman who had been with Timmon earlier. She was tiny in form, with a stripe of white hair in the front. She looked to Hero and sneered, but said nothing. Her sharp eyes met the vampire and the werewolf, though her mouth came into a little smile as she sauntered over to the sweating Timmon Freud. When he caught sight of her, he stiffened, and all at the same time...seemed to relax, somewhat.

"Dog," she said, addressing him, "Don't you go wild, now. I know it is hard, but you can manage. I know you can."

"Yeah...yeah."

"I wasn't really trying to keep quiet, kid. It's not as if I were whispering," said the woman, rolling her eyes. Oh, children were funny. Funny indeed. "And of course I have a problem with it. But not right now. The Slayer Organization has not labeled you a target, and you have not posed any visible trouble to my person or anyone else I can currently see, so I really cannot do anything about it. I am not allowed to harm...'peaceful' denizens. Neither is Dog."

Freud nodded, only grunting.

"Right. You see? He affirmed it."

"As long as you don't become a target, I won't cross you," said Jaeda in turn, smirking. "And I'm sure it is. As long as I did not witness your apparent violence, it should all be alright." She tapped in her order to the touch-screen menu, and the robot tenders brought her a drink. There were rarely any live tenders. She looked to Bracton. "Don't get your hopes up."

Dog only scratched his neck.

"The Slayer Organization is made to defend humans from the supernatural. We leave human meat to the police officers, superhero's, and detectives. Though, it isn't to say we haven't used human meat for our own benefit," she peered at Dog, who coughed. She let her eyes rest on Simen once more. "But, depending on your definition of 'human', you could say all we have ever hunted has been as such."

She caught Braxton's stare. She was not so sure she favored it; being looked upon by a werewolf- or any other supernatural, really- never sat well with her. Not that she was afraid, of course. Dog could take down any wherewolf he was faced with, and she had a plethora hidden beneath her folds of clothing. She was good.

"Then as I said before. We know not every supernatural is...'evil,' as you call it, but a great many of your kind, as well as Vampires and Demons, and many other supernaturals, have a tenancy to..." she leaned her head to the side and pursed her lips, "...cause trouble. Which is when we need to take care of them."

The main HQ to the Slayer Organization was very...bland on the outside. It looked like any other large, grey building among others. But that's just what the Slayers wanted everyone to think. If you want to hide a tree, put it in a forest. Or, if you're hiding in a forest, disguise yourself as a tree. It worked both ways.

"Well, Timo, here it is. The Slayer Organization. Nothing special. Yet." Said Jaeda, dressed in her usual slayer attire, complete with black leather and knives and a hood. She flexed her fingers, which were stained red. She had just completed a job. Beside her was Timmon. He was silent.

"Want to go in?"

"The Organization will not have slayers attack supernaturals if they are not causing too much trouble. And, since you are with me, they know instantly that you are here for a reason. And it isn't as if the Seer's don't already know, what with their knowledge," explained Jaeda, pushing the sliding doors apart. She waltzed in, boots thumping on the floor. Timmon's claws clacked in the background. He had not completely changed back since the last hunt just a few hours before. His shoes were missing.

As they entered, Timo would them view the very large, spacious, dome-like lobby that looked much darker and busy than any hotel. There was a bulletin board on the far wall next to the reception desk, and many slayers gathered around it to take down random jobs that needed doing. They were more varied then Gadget members, but much more armed, much more...serious. "Upstairs is where we'll be going. Do you mind elevators?"

Timo would smell not only human blood among the slayers, but even ones that had a hint of her own kind, even vampires and were's and a massive conglomeration of hundreds of different creatures. The difference between them and the originals? None of them were full-blooded, or even half of the regular supernatural.

"Very well," said Jaeda, a tiny smile on her lips as she lead the dhampir down an empty grey hallway. Lining this hallway was a great number of elevators. What Timo did not know is that these Elevators did not all go to the top. Only three did. They looked no different, had absolutely no indication of their special qualities. But they were very, very different. She clicked the higher button twice, possibly by accident, and walked in as the doors opened, Dog in tow. After Timo walked in, Jaeda would click the second highest button.

"You might want to brace your knees a bit."

The force that would drag them toward the floor was massive. Indeed, one would have to brace their knees considerably to stand up straight. Dog and Jaeda seemed fine. The second they reached the floor, which didn't take long at all, they walked out without trouble.

Jaeda waked off down the well-lit hallway before her, and, just as silent as always, Dog followed. However, he watched Timo for half a second, eyes going down to her legs before going to the floor. How odd. He had never approached a dhampir like that before. He seemed to want to ask, but no. He would not.

"We are going to the Seer's Council. One of them seems to have taken an interest in you, Timo," said Jaeda, eyes like a hawk out ahead of her, "And they asked me to bring you to them." She came to a large pair of bronze doors, intricately designed with the scene of an age-old battle between - what else?- Slayers and Supernaturals. She put her hand flatly upon it, then, without any flashy entrance, simply pushed them open. They swung out with much creaking and complaining.

Within was a large, domelike room much like the lobby, but made of glass to allow the sunlight in. In the middle was a large, spiral circle, more intricate than the design upon the door. Several hunched figures were sitting around it. Only one moved, dressed in an old, brown cloak. He was small, only five feet in all. His face was wrinkled to a horrid extent, and the skin of his brows covered his eyes. His mouth turned into a bright smile as he spotted Timo.

"Well, if it isn't an old friend."

The old man began to laugh, his old brows moving upwards to reveal his bright eyes. He moved to face the woman, though he didn't move his organic body, of course. He was much too old to do such a thing- the mechanic legs set under his chair, however, did. "And you have become a woman. What else has happened since our parting?" The chair walked towards the woman, looking much like a pair of stork legs made of strips of metal.

"I see that time has yet to touch the feature's of any of your bodies. Who was this, now? What an unlucky young woman." Theo chuckled, bony shoulders heaving up and down in amusement. "How long has it been? More than a hundred years, almost. Luckily, I have also stretched my lifespan far beyond human limits."

"A child! Well, you must have found someone strong enough. I remember you were having troubles having more little ones," he said, remembering those old laments. All the memories came rushing back quickly despite his age. "I may have retired, but I do have one. One child. Forty now, but still working hard. He followed well in my steps," Theo told Timo, looking up to the woman's face as she touched his own.

At her mention of disrobing, he slowly rose a hand in a gesture that said "Go on." He looked back to the other hunched figures, who were all slowly turning to look at Timo. "There is not much we, as a whole, have not seen. I am sure they will not, ah...'flip.'"

Jaeda and Theo did not seem bothered by Timo's sudden transformation. Dog, on the other hand, sneered in disgust, feeling his stomach toil once. Obviously, he had not been in the business long enough to see the most disturbing of supernaturals. The other hunched figures now turned entirely to face Timo, revealing old faces that could be very much likened to Theo's own. They were both men and women alike, some with wrinkles streaked with wisdom, others with a sharp intelligence and a cruel stare unmatched by many. They all had their transportation of choice; why, one woman came up to inspect the dhampir on what seemed to be a floating pillow.

"My, my, Theodore. You had many stories to tell about such an ally, but never would I have thought that I would live to see her!" she exclaimed, the chair hovering slowly around the gelatin monster.

"Indeed, this is certainly an experience to remember. And it kills vampires? How useful." said another old man, more gaunt than Theo, with a calculating look to him. He came over on some kind of chair that seemed to swim through the air, much like a fish.

"We have tried, many times, to specialize our slayers for such things. Jaeda and Timmon are perfect examples of our efforts, but this one is priceless, made, by nature, to deal with the beasts!"

"How very useful she could be to us..."

"Now, now, you all quiet down. Timo is an ally, an intelligent being, and a friend. Do not speak of her as a tool," interrupted Theo, raising a hand to silence them. All fell quiet. "She has a will of her own. If she would like to become part of the organization, she may decline." He turned to Timo, possibly annoyed, but smiling past it. "I am sure Marcus would love to hunt with you, Timoten. I am sure."
