Kendra Lawrence shakily stood to her feet, glancing at her poor discarded notebook with a wince of regret, kneeling to pick it up. It was one of her most precious possessions and it was just tossed on the floor like a rag. How sad.

Quickly, she made her way across the bar to re-collect her flask before deciding that she needed some time to herself right now as well, vanishing upstairs, her notebook hugged to her chest in a protective gesture.

Kendra Lawrence descended from the hotel area, a sunny smile on her lips despite her earlier trouble, notebook tightly in hand as she wandered down and sat in front of the electric fire. She didn't feel like sitting at a table to draw; the floor was more spacious anywho.

Kendra Lawrence Recently, she hadn't got any powerful urges to draw particular items or weapons, which she supposed was a good thing, considering she no longer knew anyone who could construct them. Nevertheless, it was such a shame to not possess such creativity that she had had a grasp on before.

Perhaps she would try learning to sew again or something a bit more recreational. There were many skills she hadn't had the time to learn as a child and was still desperate to.

Kendra Lawrence blinked, looking up at Vircus with a dreamy expression, as if she had been lost in thought. "Pardon me? Mon'ka?" she interjected, not batting an eyelid at his peculiar behaviour.

Instead she smiled, twirling her pencil playfully between her fingers.

Kendra Lawrence nodded in understanding. "Oh, yes. I'm quite sure I am a human!" she responded, looking a little surprised as her pencil was plucked from her fingers.

She tried to lean over to see quite what he was drawing but by the time she'd decided to move from her position, he tilted the little piece of paper to face her, her mouth an 'o' of astonishment.

"That's amazing!" she said, eyes glowing as she leant down to to retrieve her notebook, opening it to a blank page as she asked, "how did you do that?" as she draws out another pencil from behind her ear, sketching what soon becomes the beginnings of an automobile.

Kendra Lawrence had never heard of a shadow-seer but was nonetheless greatly impressed by the declaration that he possessed psychic powers. "A pleasure to meet you Vircus," she said, her lips turning upwards despite his constant giggling.

"You have your own troupe? How many? What do they do?" she questioned just as he leaned forward and asked her what she was drawing. "Oh, it just came into my head whilst I was dozing. It's a car, as far as I can tell, an improvement on anything I've designed before but I couldn't tell you how yet."

Kendra Lawrence seemed quite fascinated by the knowledge of mystical powers and bards singing with the aid of Vircus's gift to capture the audience's feelings. "There aren't many people like that in my world at all, which I feel is a distinct shame. Do you have fun with your troupe?"

His query made her blink, only just remembering that not everyone here was familiar with modern techonology. "A car is sort of like a horse and cart, except it moves itself along using its own power supply. They're quite useful."

Kendra Lawrence appeared quite fascinated by the mask, reaching out a hand to touch it. "May I?" she queried, impressed by the abilities of this stranger who had come over to talk to her unexpectedly.

"What's a horse?" she echoed, feeling a bit foolish. How did you explain a horse, especially when you haven't seen one? "Well, it's a four legged creature that can carry people or pull carts. They're quite strong and possess considerable stamina, being able to travel quite far."

Kendra Lawrence turned the object over in her hands with care. It looked like a perfectly ordinary ceramic mask but it changed. "I'd like to see a horse as well one day," she mused distractedly in reply to his comment, not thinking that a horse was like a jet-bike at all.

Reluctantly, she drew her gaze to him as he shifted, amused by his colourful, distinctive outfit, her brown eyes flashing with interest at the various items that were upon his person. He was an attractive man, by normal standards but she hardly noticed. After all, how could you feel something you've never known?

"That's a very unusual weapon," she commented, eyes flitting between the pistol and the mask, her other free hand prodding the mask to see what it might do. But not too hard.

Kendra Lawrence looked visibly shaken and would have most certainly dropped the mask had her companion not snatched it from her loose fingers. The images seen roused feelings in her that she didn't want to remember; couldn't remember if she wanted to smile.

The contact on her shoulder made her jerk away but not enough to break it, thoroughly unused to such familiar practices, feeling the presence in her mind, unwelcome at first, but extending to be soothing and happy.

"Oh, I'm sorry," she commented with a happy, if a little subdued smile, "I didn't mean to cause you trouble and yes, I do suppose we are. What are Eldar like?" she queried.

Kendra Lawrence seemed intrigued but said nothing straightaway, still quite shaken by what she had seen, her curious nature affected temporarily by this. "It does seem you have some interesting inventions for sure," she complimented pointing at the mask as an example.

His giggling made her blink, listening to his query with a slight tilt to her head. "Oh, yes. I am alright. I think just a bit shaken, is all," she reassured with a small but genuine smile.

Kendra Lawrence watched Vircus' peculiar behaviour towards HellShine, nodding in approval at his question. "Yes, I think I would actually," she agreed. Her ready agreement probably had more to do with her desire to shake off the residual bad feelings.

Kendra Lawrence covered her eyes momentarily at the blue flash, intrigued to see three figures standing there when her eyes readjusted; one woman, one gentleman and a third, unidentified being.

As greetings were offered to her by the first two in turn, Kendra wondered what was the proper course in response, settling for a sweet smile and a return greeting. "It is a pleasure to meet you both; I am Kendra."

To the third, she smiled again but said nothing, giving Vircus a curious look before asking the third individual a question. "Why do you not speak?"

Kendra Lawrence frowned, but chose to let the enquiry go - for now. The other three of the troupe seemed to be interesting enough on their own. There was a small part of her that was oddly fascinated by quite what Morbid Death meant by showing the crowd that nothing lasts forever, already able to guess what kind of performances the Queen of Blades could perform, her shimmering namesake acting like an armrest for her.

Well, now what? There were four of them and only one of her; what was she quite to do or say, she couldn't tell but she guessed. "I... Vircus, where do your troupe normally perform?"

Kendra Lawrence thought that was a very cryptic answer but really, should she be expecting any less from such a bizarre gathering of people. Perhaps not.

In a proper fashion, Kendra managed to return the Queen of Blade's bow with a deep nod, surprised at the woman's rather sexualised way of behaviour, though not cottoning on that the woman might be flirting with her. After all, she barely noticed when men did.

Next, she raised her hand obilgingly for Morbid Death to kiss, smiled politely in return as he shifted away, only to be replaced by the silent fourth member, who unexpectedly disappeared and reappeared.

In a surprised daze, Kendra shook his hand firmly and then watched him flip away, before being distracted by the banter between the other three.

Kendra's eyes went wide, staring at them in disbelief. Seducing her? Impossible; not even the less talented boys approached her back home, so she merely assumed it was the lady's normal behaviour. As such, she managed a polite smile in return.

Kendra Lawrence flushed at the insinuation, remarkably impressed that she did not turn a deeper shade of red. "I see," she smiled in amusement, an embarrassed laugh coming from her lips.

And then, as quickly as they had all appeared, they disappeared, with the warp-spider putting on a beautiful display of teleportation and blue, mesmerising lights.

Kendra shifted in her seat to face Vircus, nodding her approval. "I think they are wonderful," she complimented, nodding to him. "As are you. I've never met a group quite like you, I can safely say!"

Kendra Lawrence gaped at her companion, her eyes bright with merriment as he floated up to the ceiling with a bump against the surface, causing Kendra to stand.

But there was not a moment to be concerned, as her attention was drawn from one member of the troupe to the other, who was still flashing about the bar like a fairy might, she expected. He first rescued Vircus from the ceiling before proceeded to tease a few of the patrons of the bar.

By the time attention was turned back to her, Kendra was smiling and chuckling sporadically, the question catching her off-guard as she felt her cheeks warm again. "Oh, it's not that," she explained haltingly, passing over her words like they were going through syrup. "It's just I've never been flirted with before, so I wasn't sure how to react."

Kendra Lawrence looked a little unsure of herself for a moment. "Well, the opportunity never really arose, but thank you for thinking me pretty," she said graciously. "So yes, I suppose never."

It was with a disconcerting feeling that Kendra turned to notice a massive machine erupting from the floor of the bar, destroying a good portion of the floor, filling a considerable space from floor to ceiling. "Erm, Vircus, it is safe to stay here?" she questioned.

Kendra Lawrence feels a little more reassured to be on the other side of the room but then, having never really seen a giant robot face off against nine others, Kendra could hardly call herself an expert on this particular mode of combat.

He motioned for her to sit and so she did, adjusting slightly, leaning back into the cushions with her feet tucked underneath her. "Thank you for moving," she said as she pondered his question.

"Do people not say thank you for compliments anymore?" she queried, tilting her head as she did so.
