Like an Oak, I must stand firm

0 · 812 views · located in The Infinite Void

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by LyricalZodiac

Description

Image

Name: Marissa Jane Highland

Face: Hermione Granger, played by Emma Watson

Age: 23

Race: Caucassion

Height: 5' 8"

Weight: 120

Personality

She's a master martial artist.

Marissa, also called Mari, has always been on top. She would never take no for an answer and she never backs down from a challenge.

She's relatively a nice person. She's extremely sarcastic.

Deep down, she is a caring person and if you asked her nicely enough, she'd do it for you

She also has a pretty spicy attitude if you rub her the wrong way.

Equipment

Like stated above, she's a master martial artist, so she usually uses her body to fight.

Though, she does have a few weapons of choice. One is her bow and arrows. She is a known marksman and she isn't afraid to show it.

She also carries a knife with her for, you know, stabbing things. It's also used for close-ranged combat where she can find use for it.

Marissa Highland tried to catch her breath and looked at him. "I'm fine, but if you really want to know, I'm running away from my father," she stated. "I really don't feel like training today after the 15 hours of training I did last night. I'm exhausted." She turned back when her drink arrived and downed it one gulp. "Damn, that was a really far run," she whispered to herself, not meaning for it to be heard. She looked at him, after, she saw that he had worry in his eyes and she tried to change the tone of her eyes for them not to show fear. "I'm fine, really," she told him, reaching to place a hand on his shoulder.

Marissa Highland grabbed his hand and nodded. "Sure, I'll go sit at a booth with you," she agreed, getting up and taking her drink with her. She was happy that he had calmed. Her breathing was still slightly shallow, but she didn't really care. She went with Derek, walking over to a booth to sit and be more comfortable.

Marissa Highland took the helmet from him. "Are you sure? I don't want you to get hurt either," she told him, holding the helmet out to him,.

Marissa Highland blushed when his hand was held, but she didn't pull away. "Fine, I'll take it," she said to him, taking it. Then she turned to Tobias. "Why would you help us? You don't even know what the hell is going on," she told him. She didn't really care what the other guy was doing there, because she was scared and didn't know what the hell was happening anyway.

Marissa Highland watched the scene play out silently. "That's a good description of Wing City, mister, but I don't think either of us understands what or where this is all happening," she told him. She touched her bow. "And if you pose a threat, I could easily take you down."

Marissa Highland scoffed. "Okay, that's always how it is. Go easy because I'm a girl. Honestly, why can't we just be seen as freaking equals once in a while?" she asked. Then she turned to Derek and put his helmet on. She looked at him through it. Then she checked the time. "Aww, dammit, my father is gonna kill me," she whispered. She practically took off and threw the helmet at Derek. "I'm sorry, but I have to go," she said to him. Without waiting for an answer from either of them, she took off and left.

Marissa Highland walked into the bar, her mood kind of touchy. She just finished some hard core training, punishment for being late yesterday, which she couldn't help. Her father was just being difficult. She was exhausted and she didn't really know why she was there in the first place. Her bow and quiver was slung across her back. Her outfit wasn't really something that would be appropriate for training. She was wearing jeans and a crop top. Her knife was on her hip in it's sheathe.

She walked up to the bartender and ordered her usual drink. She was planning on becoming completely spent by the end of the day. "Scotch on the rocks," she said, deciding to start out easy.

"Nothing much, I guess. My father has been punishing me with more hours of work because I stay out to late at night," she said. "How about you? Since that day, I mean," she asked. She looked around while waiting for an answer and noticed Zekil was watching Chek. "I think someone is watching you," she said, nodding her head towards Zekil.

Marissa Highland nodded at his suggestion. "I haven't eaten in days," she realized. Her stomach growled in agreement. "Well, then shouldn't you be eating somewhere neater...cleaner?"

Marissa Highland had her bow in her hand, having just finished her hardcore training with her dad once more. Her breathing was still a little labored, but she looked winded. She sat down at a stool. "Shit..." she muttered, realizing she didn't have her phone with her.
