Renalanus Phorixx's Story

Ayanna finished her chanting and stood up. Energy now Poured from her body in waves and streams of light, shifting about in an endless dance. She raised her sword and pointed it at the Majinn, shouting at the top of her lungs "The Light of the Sun Outshines any other!" Before a blast of energy rushed towards the pink creature.

She then strode out into the open and proclaimed. "I was sent merely to watch you creatures, but you've shown to be beyond reason. Very well then, You now face a decision! Leave this world, or perish by my blade!" Her voice echoed across the district as she charged towards the space marine, her blade leaving a blazing trail behind her as it's tip dragged across the ground.

With a roar she would strike at him, attempting to cleave him in twain with the enchanted blade forged from a star's core.

The spear throwing intensified until Misokai's shout registered with the machines. The black mechanoids lifted off the ground with no visible manner of thrust before launching themselves towards Misonii, each forming a pair of javelins on approach, seeming intent on impaling her from all sides. That was until one was blasted through by the beam from Ayanna's blade.

Down below the feminine robot was sent careening sideways and tumbling down the cratered and ruined street. The red robot with a large, horned crest seemed to have recovered. "What is the fault in your programming Lilith, we were created to protect humanity, why did you turn your back on them?!" it shouted, it's voice more masculine than its opponent.

"Because they are weak Lucifer, we are superior to them," she rose back to her feet and rolled one of her shoulders. "And to the Darkwings, to all organic flesh, we are superior, and the weak," she tore up a large sidewalk paver with one hand," Must perish!" she roared as she hurled the projectile towards the red machine.

Renalus was prepared to follow up on his attack, his opponent clearly stunned by his sudden burst of power. As he began to close the distance he heard her as clear as day, an attack that would destroy Terra. Common sense would mean the planet he was standing on was called Terra, but more importantly he stopped himself before contacting his battle barge, unaware that someone else was attempting to stop the attack. ""This is Brother Renalanus to The Remembrance Of Truth! I want Orbital cannons targeting the strongest energy source you can detect immediately! I repeat the planets fate rests upon!---" He was then cut off by the sound of another persons voice, followed by the sound of something coming closer to him.

Renalus turned to look at the source of the voice, another woman armed with a sword was charging directly at him. The nerve of her to call him a creature, he did not take kindly to this insult. As she got close enough to swing her blade, Renalus dodged the attack with ease and attempted to thrust his sword into her. "You dare strike at me xeno filth! Then perish! He yelled at her as he began to thrust his sword, clear that he did not like the sight of a non-human, especially one that attempted to kill him.

Hearing Misokai, Misonii dissipated her sphere. "Oh! Sorry~! I'll be mo-ahh!" She was interrupted then by the beam and more spears, more holes being created in her body. Once again, she yelled out and filled in the holes with no visible damage. "Augh! They keep attacking!"

Misokai stood up and smiled, seeing Renalus turn to attack the new being. She was strong too. "Misonii... I said this was just warmup, but, do me a favor. Put on your amulet!"

Misonii descended a bit and started putting hers on. "Oh! Are you suggesting...?"

Misokai nodded. "Yes. I don't think even my Super Saiyan transformation will be enough here... The Human gained a massive power bonus, and that woman's toothpick can stop those robots you're fighting. Clearly the ones here are a match for us at the bare minimum, but I don't know how strong they can get. So it's time we ensured we come out on top."

She placed her own amulet on as well. "There, ready? We'll be stuck together until we return to Katt, so she can split the two apart again."

Misonii was happy. "I'm ready! Let's do it!"

Immediately, both of their bodies began mutating in a grotesque, otherworldly way, as though it were something out of Lovecraft's own mythos. Both mutating forms melted and pooled together before reforming themselves into one solid being. The new creation then solidified once more. The figure flew into the air and began striking all manner of poses while bouncing around like a pinball off of invisible walls.

"Kee hee hee! Everyone, please give a warm but loud welcome to the high flying, death defying, awe-inspiring act of fun and awesome known as Kinoha!" Her voice was now a balanced mixture of Misokai's aggressive youthful voice with Misonii's high pitched anime girl character voice, creating a dynamic, but pleasing combination of voices. Kinoha stood as tall as Misokai, but had the pink skin angry cute face of Misonii, though with Misokai's dark eyes. Her hair mixed in Misonii's tentacles, which were shaped into Misokai's trademark bowl haircut. Their amulets had combined, and Kinoha wore Misonii's white and pink long coat over Misokai's full grey and black Battle Armor. She also wore gloves and boots in the same style as Misonii, while also flaunting Misonii's black cape. Notably, the tail Misokai had was still present, as was the Scouter they both had.

She stopped bouncing around, and adopted a waiting post, showcasing impatience already. "Now, what game should we play first with everyone here? Duck-Duck-Goose! could work. So could Hide-and-Seek! Or maybe we can play Tag! That sounds like fun! Heh, I'm the best at Tag though. I'll win for sure. They can't beat me!" She took a confident pose, giving a thumbs up before she descended to face the robots, knowing that Renalus had turned to fight the girl, Ayanna.

Pointing to the "specters", she smirked and made several demoralizing poses, trying to goad them into assaulting her further. "Yoo-hoo! I'm right here again! Seriously, those spears are so cool, but I have to apologize. I'm kind of hungry, so can you throw more of them at me? I want to turn them into something sweet. Seriously, it's a cool power, one that none of you can do. Nyeh!" She stuck her tongue out in a taunting method.

It was clear that Misokai and Misonii were no longer there; there was only Kinoha, in all her glory.

Ayanna smiled at Renalus and leaned forward, allowing his blade to pass underneath her. She placed her palm on it before flipping over and bringing her heel down hard towards his head. If she connected with that, she would then kick off of him in a spin, using the momentum to bring her blade around and unleash a wide beam of energy at him from it, before following up with a torrent of flame from her right hand.

"I am Ayanna Shadowleaf, The Arrow of Shadow. I strike swift and true to reveal the enemy to the stars!" She growled at her foe. "The only filth here is you, weakminded tool of a base species. Your power comes from others, and is not your own. I give my all for the SolSkain, I give everything I am made of for my people!" And after that she would dig her feet into the ground, cracking the asphalt and shooting towards Renalus in a burning halo of light and energy, bringing her blade to bear against him as he had done her: A spear through the heart.

The robots seemed unfazed by the taunting hybrid, coalescing more spears before hurling them her way. The projectiles were all on slightly different paths, harmonizing mid-flight and melding into a single, explosive bolt large enough to leave a basketball sized hole in a target before detonating. This however was not enough as their tactics shifted some, a few of the machines charged for Kinoha, clawed hands at the ready, seeming intent on ripping her limb from limb.

Lucifer's anchor shaped staff cleaved the thrown paver with surprising ease though he was left on the defensive as the large armed Lilith continued to hurl debris at him as makeshift projectiles, some that even could strike Kinoha from behind were she not wary as they were sent flying in separate halves away from the red machine.

Renalus growled when Ayanna managed to dodge his attack and was even more annoyed when she kicked him hard in the head. Soon she swung her bade at him unleashing a beam of energy and in response he brought up his shield which glowed blue and blocked the attack with the sound of lighting sounding as he blocked the attack. He then kept up his shield when a torrent of flame washed over him.

Once her attack was over, his opponent introduced herself as Ayanna Shadowleaf, and then insulted him by calling him a base species. "I am Renalanus Phorixx! Marshal of the Black Templar's! And you will pay for insulting humanity!" He then watched as she charged, only to charge against her assault, shield prepared to block the blade. Once he got close enough he would attempt to shield bash her weapon to the side, he would then swing his sword aimed for her neck.

While he was engaging his new foe, his vox revived an incoming transmition. "Marshal, we have picked up a massive energy reading coming from the area. We have zeroed in on its position and the energy source belongs to a greater demon." The voice spoke to him, not knowing that the demon was actually Kinoha. "We are preparing the weapons system but the ships machine spirit is still damaged. The tech marines are doing their best to restore the systems so you must survive for a few minutes. We are sending in reinforcements to help subdue the demon and assist you." Following the transmition, three drop pods were sent from the ship filled with five initiates each, each armed with a bolter were going to arrive in at least ten seconds. Another team was also preparing to get ready, a squad of five Sword Brethren were prepared to deep strike on the surface in a matter of seconds once the first team made contact with the surface.

Kinoha readied herself and smirked. Standing perfectly still, she let the bolt pierce her, the projectile leaving a clean hole through her. She similarly stood still as the other machines began rending into her. Throughout the experience, even when the debris began flying her way, she stood in one place, without budging an inch. As more pieces of her were cut off of her body, she began charging energy. "Hyaaaaaaaaah!"

Once she was surrounded by as many of the machines as was possible, she then exploded violently while throwing her arms out to the side. "ENEMIES EXPLODE!" The massive energy wave that erupted from her would consume her, and any robot still nearby her location, causing each one to violently explode in smaller explosion that would disintegrate them if they lacked proper protective measures. Kinoha herself too exploded.

In the aftermath, several pieces of Kinoha remained, which pulled themselves together, reforming her original self as though she was never actually hurt, with no visible signs of having even been hurt. "Well, that was interesting! Didn't realize I'd be the goose so quickly! Normally we go through several ducks first. Oh well, now is the best time to start!"

Utilizing Rapid Movement, she would appear directly in front of any remaining specters, and begin her own physical assault, issuing punches and kicks that defied physics, her arms and legs freely bending in any and all directions they needed to, stretching out as long and far as they needed to. She figured she could fight off the entire army of them alone, and any one of her blows would likely be lethal to the robots if they were not rebuffed in some manner.

"Once I deal with all of you ugly ducklings, I can get back to the main attraction!" she told the robots, irregardless if they were even intelligent enough to understand her.

Ayannas weapon, parried to the side, swung wide from her body. But as Renalus's blade came for her neck she dropped and slid to her knees, using the momentum of her blade from his parry to swing it full around to strike at the back of his knees as she passed him. She then threw herself forward, using her arm to propel herself into a spin to land on her feet looking back at Renalus, before charging at him again, throwing her right arm up this time to project a vortex of liquid energy, which crystalized into a solid battering ram as she charged at him.

Meanwhile, in high orbit, not several hundred yards from The Remembrance of Truth, A series of energy blasts flew towards the great vessel. The origin point of the attack shimmered as a ship decloaked, revealing a large golden vessel with flowing hull lines and a silhouette resembling a flower. The attacks detonated in bright showy explosions above and below The Remembrance, and a communication was sent.

"This is Du Ligari Voshun, Inform your men on the ground to withdraw from the battle, and we shall do the same. A far greater threat is present on the planet and it is in our mutual interest to refocus our efforts upon it. Whatever grievances come after, can be addressed then." The Communication stated, if it was accepted.

Some of the Legion bodies detonated from the effects of the energy wave, but there still seemed to be yet more of them to take their place. The rift wasn't closed, and they were still coming through. Some were different from the others, larger, less gangly, and while Kinoha's rapid barrage of punches and kicks would quickly break through the barriers on the smaller units and render them relatively inert, one of the large units seemed relatively unfazed by the initial assault, the air before it rippled with every strike before a steel crushing haymaker would be airmailed towards Kinoha's face from a second of the larger brutes.

More of the larger units were starting to appear the mix, surrounded by the smaller portions of Legion, there was near three dozen of them now, making Lilith just laugh in triumph as she dueled her red armored brother, "You can't win Lucy, we're going to cleanse this planet of the organic meat stains and make it a place for our kind, the superior lifeforms."

"Damn you Lilith, you don't need to do this, they have done nothing to you." he said, no strain in his voice despite using his weapon to stop the blow of a hammer arm. "They live Lucifer, that's crime enough." she replied.

Renalus felt his opponents blade strike the back on his knee, although his power armor took the main brunt of the force so it did not cripple the limb. She was slippery and quick, almost like the many Eldar he has faught in his lifetime. He quickly turned around to face Ayanna and raised his shield to defend against the strange crystallized battering ram, sliding back as he did so. His attention was soon caught by the sound of a large explosion in the distance, and the sound of drop pods landing around the street followed by some initiates spotting him and rushing to his aid.

Meanwhile in orbit, The Remembrance Of Truth's sytems flashed red as projectiles exploded near the ship. The ships weaponary soon came online and aimed at the ship but did not fire. Soon they were contacted by a unknown vessel telling them to withdraw and in turn they would withdraw. "This is The Remembrance of Truth, we do not know what you are speaking off. We have sent our brothers to the surface to subdue a demon that has been detected on the planet, however if you are intending to also assist in the destruction of this creature we shall make sure to warn the remaining brothers on the ground to not target your men. Our Marshal in currently on the ground engaging an unknown opponent at the moment, if you would give us your commanding officers name, we can ensure their safety." The voice replied to the Du Ligari Voshun. Of course the Marshal had full authority on what would happen, however when it came to a planets safety the decision would be left to the second in command if the captain was unable to reply.

The haymaker connected with Kinoha's face, but aside from pushing her cheek to the side, she seemed completely unharmed, responding with a punch of her own, packed with only a fraction of her power, though still likely enough to punch straight through the larger robot.

Kinoha could not help but jab at Lillith however. "So, meat stains, huh? Well, you'll need to defeat this one first." As she quipped at Lillith, she continued her own attacks, putting enough power into every punch to penetrate or directly destroy the robots comprising Legion, her blows getting stronger where needed. "Kee hee hee! These robots are in for a great side show! I only perform the best!"

She stopped her assault and jumped back. Flexing her neck, she then covered her mouth with her hands before spreading them wide. "ULTIMATE THRILLING ATTACK! TOP KEK!!"

Along with the sound of someone about to spit up, an enormous wave of energy spewed forth from her mouth, a pink and purple helix that had a black electrical center. The width and height of the energy wave alone made for a difficult evade, with the blast as wide and tall as a semi truck. The blast was aimed to completely destroy whatever of the multitude of robots she could catch in it. Though they likely numbered too many to outright eliminate, she could thin their numbers considerably. The blast was also enough to claim the entire street she fired down, disintegrating most of the vehicles and other street fixtures.

The Crystal was see through, so when Renalus' attention wavered, Ayanna took the advantage, shattering the crystal and attempted to slam the pommel of her blade with all her might into her opponents helm. The strike contained the force equal to a battering ram focused into a fist sized point. Connecting with that would disorient her opponent and she would quickly follow by sweeping her blade under their feet to knock them to the ground, finishing by pinning her blade against their throat.

The Vessel acknowledged the Remembrances reply. "We are in agreement then. Our forces shall not assault any save the source of the energy signature we have detected. Your men shall be able to identify them by a marker they wear, a blue sash worn over their armor., I doubt any our two forces shall dare remain in the presence of our mutual enemy. The name of the officer in command is Ayanna Shadowleaf, and can be best recognized by her weapon, a long blue blade with a surface that ripples in sunlight.

With that the vessel launched a single missile like structure to the surface of the planet. This device locked onto Ayanna's unique energy signature and would crash into the ground not ten yards from her position. Upon landing it would unfold and shift about, transforming a spire with three radial arms lain upon the ground. Moments later a surge of energy came from the device, creating a wash of light around it, out of which no less than thirty soldiers, armed with shields and spears and in heavy plate, wearing blue sashes over their armor, marched in perfect sequence and formation towards Kinoha and the demon machines.

The blast cleared a corridor well enough through the now fittingly named Legion of machines. Even as her attack wound down, more energy spears seared through the air towards Kinoha, these ones more explosive than the initial ones she'd been hit with. They were learning, intent on vaporizing portions of her with each hit rather than just burning holes through her. Following behind the spears spiraled a large energy ball, looking like a miniature sun the size of a beach ball. One of Legion's more powerful weapons used by a single body unit, able to erase a 10 meter diameter sphere upon detonation.

Lucifer looked up from his melee with Lilith in time to see a large portion of Legion's present bodies be reduced to ash, and moments later out of the other optic, the landing of the giant spire and appearance of what looked like ancient human soldiers. Just where was he? Didn't they know of the danger they were about to walk into? Those thoughts passed through his processor for brief microseconds before a suckerpunch knocked him off his feet. Instead of falling all the way to the ground, one of his legs was seized in Lilith's hand and he was hurled towards the incoming soldiers, something the sadistic feminine machine no doubt found amusing.

Renalus felt a massive blow to head head becomeing dazed, he grunted as he foolishly took his eyes off of his opponent. Was this were he met his end? He thought as he felt his feet get knocked to the ground. However once her blade was pinned against his throat he suddenly vanished in a blue mist. "Marshal, your skills seem to be slipping." The Grey Knight Librarian spoke with the marshal right next to his feet.

During their last scuffle, the Sword Brethren Deep struck in along with the Librarian who in return transported the Marshal out of danger by tapping into the warp and casting The Gate Of Infinity on him to warp him to his location. Of course before the Initiates began firing on Ayanna, they received orders from the Librarian himself that the Opponent the marshal faught was their ally for now and their orders to watch out for soldiers with a blue sash on their order came a few seconds before Ayanna's allies arrived.

"Thank you for the assistance Librarian, Emperor preserve you in the future." Renalus spoke as he slowly got up, but there was something odd, why were his fellow battle brothers not opening fire on his opponent. "Apologies marshal, but we made an alliance with these people to eliminate the demon on the planet, for now they are our allies and as such we are working with them." The librarian spoke and Renalus nodded his head in approval, it was better to kill the demon then keep fighting that woman.

Once the initiates, Sword Brethren, Librarian and Renalus gathered in formation. They began to make their way to where the demon was, or in their case to where Kinoha and the machines were.

Kinoha would move rapidly with the Sonic Sway to dodge the spears, a smile still on her face. Persistent machines it seemed. However, her smile faded as she saw the sphere. Gritting her teeth, she brought one arm back. Timing to the sphere's arrival, she focused herself and her energy, using a punch to deflect the sphere towards the sky. "Haaaaaah!"

Her smile returned afterwards as she turned her head to acknowledge the new Space Marine reinforcements. "Lillith, Lucy. Sorry to interrupt your sisterly squabble, but you'll soon have a lot of company to deal with. I'd suggest you prepare yourselves accordingly. They don't stand a chance against me, yes, but just one alone is a good match for either one of you."

Kinoha then took to the sky herself. "So, a full squad of those guys... This could be tricky. I'll have to try and limit collateral while also giving them a what for. Sounds like a fun game to me!"

Ayanna looked up as Lucifer came sailing towards the soldiers. "Warriors, Brace the wall! She shouted in her native language. The warriors, in response, grouped together and gathered their shields up. Warriors knelt and braced their shields against their bodies, while their brothers stood over them and held their shields atop those who knelt, still more raised their shields as a roof to cover them, while the rest pushed their shields into those in front, bracing them against impact. When Lucifer struck the shielded warriors, it was as though he had struck a mountain, for the warriors gave just as much ground as though the wind had brushed across them.

Ayanna then shouted out a series of commands, which were followed immediatly. The warriors broke their wall and charged forward, passing Lucifer by as though he were a stone in a river. Ten of the warriors spread into a widened line not fifty yards from the target. These warriors raised their shields into the sky and slammed them hard into the ground. The shields shifted and transformed upon impact, becoming stationary barriers five feet tall, and generated an energy shield that extended another three feet around them, producing a sizable position of cover. Then these warriors took their spears and, shifting them into their alternate forms in which they changed from spears into long barreled weapons resembling hunting rifles that fired bolts of condensed plasma, began firing from cover upon the demons and Kinoha in a suppression assault

The remaining twenty warrriors split off and flanked combatants, ten to either side, as they attempted to cut off any escape from the targets. At the same time six more soldiers, these equipped in heavy plate gear and wielding staves, marched out of the energy field produced by the spire. These new combatants took flight upon wings formed of energy and light rooted at the backs of their armor and positioned themselves above and slightly behind the lines of warriors, two per group. One of those in the main line flew down towards Lucifer, and knelt before him asking "Are you injured?" In a flowing, almost musical voice.

Ayanna herself sheathed her sword and took a long rectangular case handed to her by another warrior, along with a strange metal gauntlet. She strapped the case onto her back and then took the hand of one of the paladins, the heavy warriors with staves, who flew her up onto the roof of one of the buildings that hadn't been destroyed. Once in position she had full view of the field of battle and was able to direct her forces accordingly. As of yet she waited, her primary fire line was established, the retreat was being cut off by two more suppression groups, and as the soldiers from the Remembrance of truth hadn't reached the site yet, her only priority at the moment was containment. "Besides," She mused to herself in her native tongue, a smirk twitching the edge of her lips. "If they're anything like the one I was up against earlier, they should be enough to clean this mess."

A few of the Legion units turned to face the incoming marines, six optics smoldering in their faceplates as they assessed them, it seemed to take the machines a moment to realize that these walking stacks of armor had meat inside. As this conclusion was reached, several more units turned to face the marines, beginning their assault with a fusillade of energy spears. Storm shields could likely stop them, and thick enough armor dissipate some of the damage, but they could likely still do some damage depending on where they struck.

Other Legion units continued to attack Kinoha, sending two more energy spheres her way followed by one of the large units attempting to bear hug her, likely to crush her.

Lucifer clanged loudly off the shields before tumbling to the ground nearby. He waited a moment as the soldiers washed past him before pushing himself to his feet, all sorts of damage warnings and assessments scrolled through his vision as he fumbled for his weapon. He turned to look at the soldiers that had moved passed him, not human, but still alive, still organic. He would still fight for them. With staff once more in hand he charged to their side, levelling the anchor blade like a rifle, and sending a rippling bolt of distortion through the air towards Lilith who just managed to get out of the way in time.

Her head tentacle raised and fired a searing beam across the front of the shields to test their durability. "Foolish organics, you have no idea what you're dealing with."

Once the marines turned the corner, they spotted their allies already engaging unknown machines. The marines, most notibaly the Initiates got into a firing line and once they spotted the machines heading straight for them with spears, they did not hisitate to shoot a volley of bolter fire at the machines, sending .75 rocket propelled rounds at the machines which would before into their armor and explode damaging internal systems. Each marine would aim with inhuman precision, each press of the trigger would send a four round burst from their weapon hitting their target in their head, arms, legs or anywhere the rounds hit.

While the Initiates held their ground firing in complete unison, Sword Brethren formed a line just behind the firing line to engage the enemy once they close the distance. The Librarian began to tap into the warp and channeled his psychic might to channel the Might Of Titan which the caused Initiates to shoot even faster, their four round burst seemed to become a eight round burst and their reloads were almost immediate, the bolt rounds never seemed to stop firing against the oncoming machine horde. Of course the spears thrown at the marines were not ignored, the marines dodged the incoming spears with their improved reflexes.

Renalus himself activated his Jump-pack and took to the high ground and landed on one of the buildings that has not been destroyed and surveyed the battlefield, prepared to assault the machines lines once they closed the distance. He observed that one of the machines in the back was fighting with one of their own. He was not sure what was happening but to him they seemed to the the commanders of this machine army, what he also discovered was a portal spewing more machine reinforcements and Kinoha was currently destroying more machines. "Brothers, there seems to be a portal that seems to be the source of the machines reinforcements. I have also located the demon we are here to destroy, continue to hold the line until we can destroy the entire area. Emperor protect you all." Renalus spoke into his vox and the other marines who were already inspired began to fight with more vigor.

"I suppose I'll start with these machines. I can try to feed energy into the distortion to overload it and destroy it, but th-" Kinoha found the suppression fire heading her way, the shots bouncing off of her as she held up her arms to shield herself. With the large energy spheres heading at her, she proceeded to dodging them both with little effort beyond momentary distraction...at the expense of the other large one freely grabbing her in that moment.

"Ergh! Hands off the goods! I'm not done playing yet!" She held her breath and began inflating herself like a balloon, to force the machine to unhand her. Once it did, she would return to normal size and fire a large barrage of energy spheres at the large machine, intent on disabling it entirely, if not destroying it. "You guys are cheating! We should at least play fair!"

More energy sphere barrages would sweep across the robots. "I can't deal with the others until I get these robots to stop. The energy spheres are dangerous to those around here. I've got to find a way to get out of the robots' aggression."

She backed off to fly high into the air (typical air travel altitude), and began charging the a medium sized sphere similar to the one Misonii had charged earlier. This time though, it was a smaller sphere packed in front of Kinoha, as a large bow formed, shaped of energy. She assumed the motions as though to fire something, the sphere in front of her quickly multiplying in size. Once more, the dim pink and black glow shrouded the area as the sphere grew to at least one block wide and one block high. It showed no signs of shrinking anytime soon, however, and the excess radiating energy formed a shield around Kinoha to protect her as she charged. It'd take a large amount of effort and power to break the shield, let alone to stop the sphere.

She aimed the shot for the dimension tear that the robots were spewing from, tightening the grasp on the bow of energy. "Just...a...bit...longer...!" The amount of energy radiating from the sphere was significant, and was creating large gusts at ground level around it's area, gusts that would tip over ordinary creatures (though likely would have nearly non-existent effects on the others in the area).
