Description

Rhogar
Image
Name: Rhogar
Height: 6'9
Weight: 320 lb.
Species: Draconian
Caste: Draconian Highborn

Though humanoid in form, Rhogar's features are unmistakably draconic in nature. He is an imposing individual, standing at about six-foot-nine. His face is the visage of a dragon snout complete with a mouthful of vicious looking fangs and bony protrusions, and in place of skin he has red scales.

Rhogar is an impressive specimen of a warrior, and weighing in at 320lbs of pure muscle, he is well capable of dominating the battle field. Despite his formidable combat prowess however, Rhogar is unfortunately not the most intellectually gifted of individuals. Having never before experienced the advancements of a more technological age, Rhogar quickly made a name for himself in the art of slaying demons (cars) that quickly landed him at the RIP correctional facility.

So begins...

It was late into the night and Rhogar was enjoying the confines of solitary isolation after having hospitalized his third inmate this month. His resolve was fierce though and he knew this foul hive of villainy and demon scum could not contain him forever. When his moment for escape came, he would be ready. Tonight he hung from the pipelines of the ceiling, his feet wedged against the wall as he lowered and pulled himself up again and again. There was a pulsing rhythm to the his movements and he let his mind wander to how he had come to find himself in this strange place.

The battle raged fiercely, draconian against draconian in a bitter civil war that had rend their empire in two. The sounds of shouts and the ring of metal resonated across the rolling plains as Rhogar met a charging warrior head on. Roaring his challenge he swung his warhammer with all the fervor and might of his draconian blood lines. Upon striking the amulet his foe wore, a brilliant flash of light and the stench of sulfur engulfed him.

Honk! Honk!

"Get out of the road you moron!"

Rhogar wheeled about, eyes going wide as vehicles sped past him.

"What manner of demons -"

The loud blaring of a horn sounded as a car swerved past Rhogar. Another clipped his arm and knocked him to the ground which swiftly resulted in more of the oncoming traffic swerving to avoid the figure within the street.

Pulling himself back to his feet, the draconian warrior picked his warhammer up and widened his stance to meet the traffic head-on. Another car blared its horn and swerved violently into a side lane where it clipped yet another car, sending both spinning into the divider of the highway. Crouching, Rhogar lept for the pair of vehicles with a deafening roar. The metal of the vehicle crumpled beneath his weight and he brought his warhammer down atop the roof to cave it in. A woman screamed.

What foul villainy was this?

He leaped down from the vehicle, swinging his warhammer for the side door. The metal caved and the glass shattered beneath the blow, and as he looked through the window it was fast apparent that there were people trapped within these demons. Rhogar growled fiercely as he tore the crushed door from the frame of the car and tossed it aside. Stooping down he reached inside and grabbed hold of the screaming woman's shirt and pulled her free of the vehicle. Once deposited outside, the woman turned and fled down the highway screaming for help and waving down yet more cars.

It hadn't been long before more blaring demons with flashing lights bearing what he could only surmise were enslaved humans had arrived upon the scene. Rhogar had fought fiercely, but in the end his might simply was not enough. They had come in large numbers and with strange weapons, and not a day later he found himself in this place surrounded by all manner of villainous wretches.

Dropping down from the ceiling he stretched his arms behind his back to keep them limber. He would sleep he decided, conserve his strength. It would take all of his willpower to withstand whatever mental torture this place had concocted to break him.

Come morning, the security of the RIP found Rhogar's small cell devoid of life. Nothing but singed stone and the stench of sulfur lingered.

A bright flash of light pulsed through the thick smoke that obscured the room, along with the deafening crack of thunder. Within the closed confines of the building, the sound held a concussive and debilitating resonation.

As the light faded, Rhogar found himself standing in yet another strange place.

Thick smoke filled the air and stung his eyes as he threw an arm over his face to try and shield it from whatever filled the air. He could hear shouting as he squinted through the haze trying to make out what was going on.

Gunfire opened up around Rhogar. Gunfire he remembered.

Grabbing up the nearest table, Rhogar let loose a deafening roar as he leaped into the midst of the Russian's. Several bullets struck his hide as he closed the distance, but they failed to slow his momentum. Swinging the heavy oaken piece of furniture with all the regard of a raging bull, both Russian and non-human alike were at equal risk of the raging draconian - especially given the poor visibility.

Raiivyn's antics had the expected result of taunting a bull. Furniture flew in all directions as Rhogar swung the table after the fluttering demon, only to have the creature spiral away into the smoke with each attempt. Adding to the chaos, more bullets struck Rhogar and left him staggering.

Before he could even begin to comprehend the current situation, a WCPD round struck Rhogar in the back and staggered him to his knees with high voltages of electricity. As the electrical charge dissipated, Rhogar rose back to his feet and twisted about. With a grunt he hurled the table through the air towards the arriving WCPD officers.

Despite huffing heavily from the exertion of wildly flailing the heavy object around, Rhogar seemed set for round two with the WCPD after his arrest just a month ago.

A rain of bullets struck Rhogar and he threw an arm up to protect his face from the lead projectiles that pelted his armored hide. The draconian seemed well suited to withstand the gun fire, all save for one. where the WCPD faced down the raging draconian head-on, Jegun's entrance from the storeroom left his bullet striking the unarmored back of Rhogar's knee. The bullet tore through flesh and shattered bone as it dropped him to one knee.

He swung his arms at the pesky Raiivyn once more, but his breath came in ragged gasps. Grabbing onto a table he tried to pull himself back to his feet, but his shattered knee wouldn't hold his weight.

Rhogar's knee began to mend, though it was substantially slowed by the application of the ice. He dragged himself back to his feet, hands gripping around the table which he heaved into Jengun's path with another deafening roar. He was back on his feet but panting heavily. The ice had numbed his reflexes and left his legs sluggish to react.

Though sword nor bullet penetrated Rhogar's scaly hide, his damaged knee was incapable of withstanding the shock of the bullet's impact, and the draconian fell back to his knee with ragged growling huffs. This time he did not rise again, clearly spent. Only one hand on a chair kept him on his knee at all.

"Rhogar," he replied between heavy breaths. His voice was deep and rough like gravel. He reached up and grasped the spikes of ice in his grip. "Remember it so that you might curse it when my clan avenge me," he growled lowly.

It was an empty threat though, given that Rhogar had no idea where here was, or where his people were in relation to here.

The general calm of the earlier fighting had Rhogar better able to assess his surroundings. There were dead bodies and groaning officers littering the bar, as well as a few individual still standing. The situation was well and truly beyond his comprehension.

"I say I don't negotiate with my captor," Rhogar replied from behind the spikes of ice.

Rhogar grunted as Jegun let down the ice.

"Very well."

He rose to his feet, though his damaged knee protested the movement. The woman's healing had mended the worst of the gun wound, but the remaining damage kept him at a limp.

Rhogar felt somewhat naked without his war hammer as he limped into the bar after Jegun, but the atmosphere of this place was far more to his liking than that of the city streets.

"Cops?" Rhogar asked as he eased himself into a seat. The chair creaked beneath his weight, but seemed like it intended to hold up.

"The servants of the demon spawn that attacked me?" Rhogar asked. "I slew many upon my arrival to this strange place," the draconian boasted.

Demons of course, or more accurately cars. But he did not clarify on that point. A fierce warrior he might be, but the brightest folk on the block he was not.

"I come from Caldonia, but I don't know how I arrived here. They took me captive for many days, but when I awoke today it was in the midst of that battle."

"Terra," Rhogar remarked. "That is north of Caldonia."

He scratched at his scaly head trying to sort out just how he had come to be weeks from the draconian capital. At Jegun's question Rhogar's reptilian visage widened into what could almost have been a grin. He folded his arms over his chest and sat back in his chair.

"If I can lift it, I recon I can swing it," Rhogar replied.

Rhogar bought a heavy hand down upon the table as he barked his answer in a husky laugh.

"For honor and glory," he said boldly. "My deeds in battle bring honor to my name, and my clan."

"They will tell tales of me when I am dead and gone, and my children's children will shout my name when they go to battle."

Jegun's offer was appealing to the draconian warrior and he studied the human for a time before nodding.

"Caldonia can wait my return if there is honor and glory to be had here," he replied.

He reached out and grasped Jegun's hand firmly with his own.

Rhogar lifted the heavy hammer with ease, looking it up and down. Once more his draconic visage split into a wide grin.

"This will do just fine," he noted approvingly. "But tell me, where would you see me wield it?" he asked.

Rhogar didn't much seem the sort for beating around the bush, and it was time to get down to business.

Rhogar followed Jegun into the conference room, his hammer slung over his shoulder.

"I will slay many demons," Rhogar declared boastfully.

He examined the room at Jegun's sweeping gesture and nodded approvingly. "The citizens must speak great praise of your many deeds."

"Fierce demons that took many humans captive," Rhogar explained. "They attacked me when I arrived here. I slew a great many as they crumbled beneath the might of my hammer."

"They were great in number, but poor warriors. It is likely they're working for another."

Rhogar spoke with only the sincerest of words as to his recent experience with cars.

"It was not until more arrived, carrying human servants that I was overwhelmed."

"They were as large as a the bison of the Caldonian plains and encased in a brightly colored metallic armor, though it was soft and pliable, unable to withstand the might of my hammer."

He rubbed thoughtfully at his scaly jaw.

"Their cries were that of blaring horns, and shrieking drakes."

The quiet peace of the small restaurant wasn't in the cards for Adrienne on this day though. With a bang, the door swung open and a towering individual stepped inside. The muscle bound draconian with his massive hammer slung over one shoulder looked more fitting for Adrienne's world than this metropolis of a city, but he seemed to not notice or simply remained uncaring of the fact.

"Bartender! I require ale!" he bellowed loudly.

Of course, this wasn't a bar, and the waitresses on duty today were somewhat bewildered by the demands.

While the waitresses were whispering over what to do about the brute he caught sight of Adrienne working over her milkshake. "Ah! A lady by my eyes!" he declared boldly.

Stepping inside of the diner he dropped his hammer onto the nearest table which creaked alarmingly under its weight before offering a less than graceful bow.

"What brings a lady to such a place without an escort! This city is full of foul villainy and demonic forces."
