Snow Anona's Story
Snow Anona shook her head in admonishment at Hope's explanation. Surely it was common sense that they were not a day old? "Oh. Quite," she added glancing side-long at her sister, quite worried now.
Snow Anona fought hard to stop her frown deepening now that Hope's attention was on her. Honesty was obviously not the best policy here. "I... just, am feeling unwell. Perhaps we should rest somewhere?" she proposed, adding a touch of weariness to her voice.
It wasn't a lie. She was feeling unwell. "As are you, sir," she replied calmly, but there was a look in her eyes.

Snow Anona looks relieved, nodding herself. "Thank you, dear sister. Please, lead the way," she instructed softly, giving Doryn a curt nod. "Good day Dor. It was an experience meeting you."
Naturally and correctly, Snow assumed stairs led up and started to make her way over to them once her sister had began walking as well.

Snow Anona looked across at Hope when they reached the second floor, sighing. "So, where are we headed?" she queried simply, relaxing visibly as they got away from social interaction and over-crowding.
Hope Anona Glances around before spottign the car swipper on the doors. Ah yes. That was how you rented a room here, rather than a teller.
She smiles as she checks into a room, putting it on her charge card with ease. The woman slips into the room and holds it open for her sister. It would be a simple two person suite. "Here we are. We can stay in here."

Snow Anona blinked before realising that her sister was obviously accustomed to such things, unstiffening her shoulders as she strode into the room. It wasn't very large but it would be adequate to rest within, certainly.
"Hope," she began, unsure how to proceed. "Does it feel different to you now? Now that I'm here with you, it's like we've never been apart. It is a strange and yet comfortable feeling." This had been preying on Snow's mind for some time now and was wondering if Hope felt the same.

Hope Anona smiles and hugs her sister. "It does. I don't feel all alone anymore." She says with a smile. "And it is rather as if we've always known each other. And I guess we have, but.." The Light shakes her head, not having words for it.
"Just promise not to leave me?"

Snow Anona returned the embrace - there really were quite a lot of hugs from her sister - more than she'd ever shared with another being. "I've felt estranged for so many years, feeling like I was missing a part of me that should never be denied. It's lovely to be by your side."
The query made Snow chuckle, holding her sister a little tighter. "I promise that I will never leave you again," she vowed, meaning every last syllable. "Not whilst I still have breath in me."

Hope Anona smiles, relaxing against her sister, for a moment before pulling back. "You said you weren't feeling well? You should lie down, and I'll make you some soup!" She says quite happily.
"Madam Gregor always said when your Dark was sick, your supposed to make them soup. Only I've never cooked for another person before, so please please forgive me if I do it wrong!" She says, anxious to please her sister.

Snow Anona hesitated, before nodding. "I'm feeling a little better now. I could show you how to cook, if you wish? I've been getting better at it over the years," she explained, looking around for a kitchen area. "I was always told that I should never let my Light do something I was capable of doing myself. So, a compromise; we shall cook and eat together."
The simple desire for Hope to please her sister was not lost on Snow, who flushed quite obviously with pleasure. They had so many years to make up for.

Hope Anona bites her bottom lip. "Well...Only if your sure." She had no clue how to manage this. How did a Light help her Dark? She leads the way to the kitchen and takes her aviator goggles off carefully, feeling rather bare without them.
Still, she hits a series of switches on them, and groceries of all sorts come out. "I keep most of my stuff with me. Food too." She explains sheepishly, blushing some.

Snow Anona smiled reassuring to her twin before following her guidance to the kitchen area. There was a moment where she marvelled at the things that were hidden within Hope's aviator goggles before grinning and taking out what would be required for a proper soup - a variety of vegetables, some good quality meat and a few oxo cubes.
"That is quite... impressive," she admitting, fingering the goggles with vague interest when she had set the food stuffs aside. "Did you create these yourself?"

Hope Anona shakes her head. "Standard issue, though almost no one knows it." She says with a smile, putting them back on. The subtle tensions in her shoulder that had appeared when she removed them disappeared. "They're my Traveler goggles, and contain everything I may need to survive in a hostile dimension. I made sure that everything meant everything when I became Director, too." She says wiht a pleased smile. "Though trust em when I say, being director just means my advisors run it all and I just sign paperwork."
Snow Anona smiled, pride welling in her at her sister's explanation. "Director of the Travellers? That's quite a prestige, Hope. You must be quite dedicated, no matter what you actually do," she protested, opening a few drawers in such of a knife to begin slicing up vegetables. "Could you find me a big pan and put water in it? About half full should do it."
Her eyes flickered between watching Hope go about and making sure she didn't slice her fingers off but there were three things Snow was good at. Fighting, cooking and stoicism.

Hope Anona happily does just that, before carrying the now heavy pot to the stove and putting it on. Thinking ahead, the girl cheerfully turns on the heat. "Okay! Now I add the little cubes right?" She double checks. She tended to eat a lot of food from a can, including soup.
"And I guess. Mostly, I just wanted to prove that I, a Light, could do the same thing as a Dark. Most shapeshifters don't think so you know?" She huffs. "Just cause I was born holding onto your heel too."

Snow Anona smiled across at her Light, stopping for a moment with a contemplative frown on her lips. "I was the same; I had no gentle soul to guide me away from seriousness and an instinctive need to protect and defend. It took time, but I learnt compassion over time. Emotional responses that most Darks learn from their Light." She spoke almost dispassionately; there were memories she did not wish to recall.
Then she realised she hadn't answered Hope's question. "Yes, add the cubes. How do you normally eat?"

Hope Anona sniffles and wipes away the tears that had appeared at hearing her Dark had a tough time away. There was no need to tears. They were together now after all. She adds the cubes and frown slightly at the curious question.
"Um. I eat a lot of things from cans. And I can cook, but you deserve much better than just soup form a can, and since you weren't feeling well..." She blushes but shrugs. "Anyway, your better now, so all is well.

Now she stopped, looking her sister dead in the eye. Canned food? Well that wouldn't do; not at all!
"Wherever I can yes. I like to feel like I've earned my food and paid my way in all things. The satisfaction of doing things yourself; there is nothing quite like it," she said wistfully, aware she was a simple being.

Hope Anona smiles at her and kisses her sister's cheek. "Is there anything else I can do then?" She says with a smile. "Other then thoroughly distract you by giving you a hug." She says, suiting action to word and doing just that.
She knew she had been hugging the other far too often, but just feeling the other in her arms, under her fingers...it was amazing, and relaxed her perfectly. She definitely belonged with her twin.
"Snow? Where did they take you, when we were so very young?" She asks, knowing they should be talkign about happier things. But this had weighed on her for most of her 259 years.
