Image
Full Name:- Steven Nelson
Age:- 19
Clique:- Geeks.

Ally Cliques:- Outsiders
Enemy Cliques:- ----

----

Height:- 5'10" -:Weight 150lbs

Eyes:- Brown to green, changes. -:Ethnicity 1/2 Norwegian, 1/4 English, 1/4 Welsh.

Hair Color:- Dark Brown. -:Hair Style Long and naturally straight.

-:More About Me:-

Physical Description:- I'm average weight and height for my age, a little short among my friends. I have slight muscle in my arms, no visible muscle in my abs, and my legs are lean and tough from running in both Track and Cross Country. I'm told that my shoulders make great pillows, but since they're my shoulders, I'm unable to verify this.

Personality:- I'm pretty outgoing, and it shows during my time off if I have the opportunity to hang out with people. I enjoy being around other people and if not talking to them, simply listening in on their conversations with others. When it comes to girls I'm a bit of a flirt, but having basically been labeled a geek more or less killed my dating chances in high school. Um, not a whole lot more I can think of to say other than I'm very much myself around others, and it's unlikely you'll see me act like someone I'm not.

History:- Well, I was born in 1992 somewhere in northern Virginia. I went to both elementary school and high school in the same system, having never had to be the 'new kid' at school. I went off to college in Florida for a year and, having done not so well, have returned home. As of right now, I'm hunting jobs in the counties around my own.

Steven watched her for a moment, his face serene for once. No wonder she looks so great. She exercises so regularly, I bet if I did the same, I'd look pretty good myself. He dashed the thought away, instead turning and walking to the window. He put a hand against the cool glass and smiled wanly.

"Perhaps we are all alike, but we each happen to choose when to be such. I try my best not to be a pervert, but sometimes it happens. And if they are trying to make us go nuts, whoever They, I'm not going to so easily. I'll keep us both sane for as long as I can." Man did that sound cheesy. What am I, some kind of stereotypical hero? Not here. Not in the real world. He turned and looked at her, a hand held out for her.

Steven enjoyed the feeling as she intertwined their fingers. It seemed so right just then. He looked back into her eyes and lost his train of thought, suddenly feeling a fool once more. He pushed away the feeling, reminding himself that she seemed to be fine with him, even comfortable with how he'd acted so far.

"Oh, I figure that as long as we do things as closely to what we would normally do, we'll be fine. Either that, or just stay active and keep our minds off the situation as much as possible. Sure, they

-they might not be the best options we've got, but at least they're better than nothing, eh?" He looked out the window once more, watching as a slight breeze stirred the leaves on the trees, wishing he could feel such zephyrs as those again. "As for clubbing, I've never been, but I've always entertained the thought of it. I mean, I could find myself at ease in a club I bet. And trust me, no matter how drunk you or whoever else I might be with gets, I keep my wits about me, so I'd keep you safe."

"Perhaps you could teach me how to club properly, eh? I wouldn't want to make you look like a fool by not knowing what to do." He chuckled softly. Sure, he'd never been to a club, but he had no doubt that he'd be able to stay out of the lime light unless she dragged him there. He leaned against the window pane and sighed. "I wish I could feel the wind again. Feel the wind, smell the earth, something other than this monotony of painted walls and too-small stuff."

Steven Nelson twitched ever so slightly as her fingers trailed over a spot on his jaw that sent shiver racing over his body. He shut his eyes as he tried to figure out what had happened, but it had ended so quickly, he hadn't a chance to think on it. He put his hand atop hers, enjoying the softness of her skin. "You're probably right. Maybe They wouldn't mind if we asked first though. I mean, they've probably been watching us since we got here, as awkward as that is." He took his hand off hers and wrapped it around her waist instead, holding her close. "I wonder how long we'll be here for. I mean, if we're here through the winter, I certainly hope it won't get cold. Then again, if we get some clear nights, I wouldn't mind watching the stars through these panes."

It was his turn to chuckle, though he couldn't help it as it became more rich. "Oh, I'm a romantic alright. But a hopeless one, from my personal experience. Star gazing is a big thing to me, and walking along the beach is fun, but I'm not a picnic person. Don't know that I ever would be. I..." He cut himself off, debating how much he should say. It wasn't anything scary, but it was personal, and he'd always kept it secret unless asked specifically. He sighed and, figuring it would come out eventually, spoke again. "I talk to the moon and the stars, as I might to any person. It's...it's a weird habit." He blushed somewhat, not trusting himself to say the rest.

Steven Nelson looked at her, his blush fading as she spoke. She seemed so...okay with it. "I call it weird because I figured it was something only a few do. I mean, I'll hold whole conversations sometimes. Orion's one of the people I talk to a lot, actually. He's been chasing Selene for so long, I can't imagine how it must feel to have such beauty slip away each and every night." His mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, not knowing how to act as they moved. He felt silly for saying such, but figured there was no helping him now. He asked, his voice taking on a quieter, gentler tone, "What do you think? Am I already crazy, or am I simply different from normal people?"

"Well...I guess not really. I just wait after speaking. It's...odd, even to me, but I feel like I do get talked to, even if I can't hear it at all. Then again, I may simply be crazy and not know it. But if I was, and I'd managed to not be in an asylum thus far, perhaps it's not so bad. Perhaps I should continue to talk to the stars." He rapidly changed course with his words, bringing up a subject that was interesting to him, though he put only a minimum of faith into it. "Do you believe in astrology, Kacie?" He relished speaking her name, though he had no idea why he enjoyed it so much. Am I really that taken by her?

Steven chuckled softly as she mentioned and described how she ought to soon be wed, should the psychic's prediction come to fruition. He never really trusted such things himself. "Well, I meant horoscopes mostly. But not the predictions they make, simply the descriptions of each. I've found that most of the time, people match up to theirs pretty well. Well, people I've known for a while, that is. As for psychics, I'm not really taken by them. fortunetelling in general seems crazy." He shrugged, looking out the window again. A hopeless romantic, that's what I am. Always have been, and likely always will be. Right up until I find someone who really matches me. he thought, letting the issue roll about in his head for a moment.

Steven Nelson continued to look out at the sky, imagining line crossing it to form the various constellations he knew. "I believe them so strongly because I'm a dead ringer. Pisces, the hopeless romantic. Doomed to love many and have trouble in all but one relationship. Not to mention I'm not someone who really enjoys the lime light, I daydream like a mad man, and I would rather spend my time enjoying myself instead of being productive. I've even asked some people from out of town who know me pretty well, around my home, that is, and they agree. Sorry, it's not terribly important. Just conversation, really." He smiled softly and turned to face her, his smile growing when she nudged him. If there's a chance for only one of us to get out, I'm going to have to make sure she survives.

He chuckled softly again. He was somewhat glad he'd brought up the subject now, intrigued by how well she was reasoning. She must either be able to do this naturally, or she's had good schooling. he thought to himself. "To answer your question truthfully, it's a slight amount of both, though most of it is based on how things have gone so far. Sure, I've gotten more cautious with who I date, simply because I don't want to have short fling-type romances, but from what girlfriends I have had, it's shown that no matter what I do, something ends up happening." He fished through his pockets looking for a piece of paper, any size really, but was dismayed to find only a small amount of lint. He reached into one of the back pockets and smiled, finding a blank post-it that must've been put there for some unknown reason. Taking it out, he began to fold it, giving his hands something to do while he thought. "And I understand what you mean. If I put too much stock into it, I'll follow it blindly and force it to be true."

Steven lifted his eyebrow, not looking at his fingers as they creased and re-creased the paper in memorized patterns. "A bombshell, drunk as hell, asking me to take her home, huh? Well, this all depends. I'm going to simply assume I have no idea who she is, for safety's sake. I'd get her home, for certain, I wouldn't simply leave someone on their own while drunk, but if you're asking would I go further, probably not. I'd stay there with her, if she asked me to, but I wouldn't take advantage of her or anything. hell, if need be, I'd stay till the morning, maybe even make breakfast." He smiled and kept folding the paper, quickly finishing it and opening the wings of the brilliant yellow paper crane.

He couldn't help but grin as she continued the scenario. He thought about it for a moment, trying to think of how to put into words the way he determined who he befriended. He looked at the folded crane in his hands, imagining it as a living thing for a short moment before returning his thoughts to the matter at hand.

"Well, that depends on how she acts. If she's stereotypical, then I'd probably do my best to excuse myself. If she were angry at me for randomly being in her house, assuming she doesn't remember the night before, then I would simply leave. However, if she were as relaxed and calm as you are right now with me simply being there, if she knew I wasn't going to do anything to her without permission, then I would do my best to be her friend, possibly more. Every girl I've dated in my life has been a close friend, at least so far, so I figure that the girls I moon after will always be a friend. A fling, for me, would simply be someone I've never met, or know little about, and who isn't interested in me for who I am, but for what I have or some other motive."

Steven followed her, feigning distress as she played with the crane. "Is it now? Perhaps so. I know that, for all the boasting my best friend does about how he'd try his hand with a half-dozen chicks, he's never thought of properly dating them. Even now, he'd dating only his second girlfriend, and he's my age almost." He smiled and seated himself on top of one of the table to ponder her newest inquiry.

He smiled as he thought, finding her slight jesting to be fun for him as well. "The One, huh? Hmmm...I can't say that I will know at all, to be honest. I suspect it'll start much the same way as any other relationship I've had, and it'll end up having the best of outcomes."

He leaped to his feet, suddenly, catching the crane and putting it on the table. He spun to face her and began to stalk closer, slowly. "Although that's true, I could always change how I behave. I could, for instance, try to show myself as a 'bad boy', but I think I'd prefer the more deadly role of a rogue." He stopped and stood straight, laughing at himself and how much he'd inadvertently learned while being a stagehand.

"Girls like the dangerous guys, right?" he asked, his tone quite obviously not serious.

"Well then," he said, spreading his arms out wide, "I'm glad to hear that, because I would never be able to be someone like that." He chuckled and held his breath as she moved closer. And yet despite all the craziness of this place, she still smells amazing. He thought. He accepted the poke in his ribs, flexing away just a bit so it wouldn't hurt.

Some ways down ahead of Kacie walked another member of the kidnapping from what seemed both ages past and just a few weeks ago. Steven had never really gotten over the things he'd seen and done, but he was at least glad that he'd survived. He was strolling rather calmly, having never really held many fear of the night, but more of the shady figures he saw in the light of streetlamps. He was safer when he couldn't be seen.

As it was, however, the moon was up and shining brightly, almost full, as he kept his pace smooth. Although it had only been a few months, most of his attire seemed to have changed. He no longer wore thick shoes, but rather a pair of thin, European running shoes under a pair of loose cargo pants. His shirt was still baggy, but not as much, clinging just a bit to his flatter stomach. His hair was longer than ever, and it seemed like that was one thing that would never change.

He checked his watch absentmindedly.

He looked up from his headphones as she turned to look at him, his expression as confused as hers as they recognized one another. Of all the people he could have seen on the beach tonight, she was perhaps the last person he'd expect.

"Kacie?" His mouth was turned down as he thought, then suddenly broke into a grin when he realized that she was actually there, and not just something he'd imagined. He ran a hand over his hair and quickly tied it back into a ponytail, making sure not to catch his glasses in the process.

"I can't believe it's actually you! What brings you out here so late, let alone at all? I thought that after the, well, after what we'd all gone through that I'd never see you again."

Steven was beyond glad to see her, though his face didn't let show any of the emotions bubbling inside him just then. He'd missed her terribly, had worried what might happen now that she was back on her own. Hell, he'd even dreamed of her a few times in the past few months, each dream involving something he might have done differently. He'd been told that it was simply him overthinking the past. As she hugged him, no matter how briefly, he wrapped his own arms around her, his hands resting against her shoulder blades before letting go.

"Sounds like you've managed to find a pretty good gig here, huh? As for me, I used to live here when I was a kid, but we moved out to the country as I grew up. I guess I came back here because I didn't have to worry about trusting strangers as much. As for how I'm staying here, I managed to pick up a job with one of the local theaters as a permanent stage-crew member. It's not terribly good pay, but I enjoy it. That, and it gives me time to come out and relax here on the beach."

He smiled, a shiver running down his spine. She'd almost said something, but was holding back for some reason. He didn't let it bother him, considering he was just glad to see her alive and well.
