Description
Personality
Tejas is an outcast of his race, as they are evil and he is not. But he finds it hard to fit in with other races, since they distrust him for his heritage. He is usually wary of strangers for this reason.
Equipment
Tejas wears a swordbelt that carries a katana on his left and a wakizashi on his right. He also carries a longbow. He always has a small flute with him.
History
Tejas fled from his homeland when his family tried to sacrifice him to placate Lolth, the Spider Queen. He eventually found his way to the surface world and has been trying to find a place of acceptance ever since.

Tejas 'kel Khalus finally sits up and finds that he needs aid in getting to his feet. The wound, the healing and the trance have left him weak as a newborn lamb.
Tejas 'kel Khalus shakes his head. "I have tarried here too long already. Tarmon will find me here if I stay. I will not be possessed! Tarmon will not prevail . . ."
Tejas 'kel Khalus looks at the woman, his grey eye seeming like ice that seeps into the soul. "Madam, have you ever before battled a Daemon. Tarmon Gylethkarn, Tarmon the Bladebreaker, is no ordinary Daemon. He is an incubus of immense power. And he is me, as I am him. He seeks to possess me. And the closer he comes to me, the weaker I am to his power. I . . . will . . .NOT . . .be possessed. Not ever again."
Tejas 'kel Khalus shakes his head. "I thank you for the offer, madam, and for your aid. But my own horse is tethered outside. I owe you much, you and your friends. If ever I can repay you, I shall, if l'Kyorl'urn Uss deems it so. Feel free to leave a message for me with the barkeep."
Tejas 'kel Khalus smiles at the woman. "I will very likely need help in mounting up, if you don't mind."
Tejas 'kel Khalus places his foot in the stirrup and grips the saddle horn. When he tries to pull himself up, the sharp pain in his side returns with a vengeance. He finds himself unable to lift himself any further.
Tejas 'kel Khalus is finally seated and he places his other boot in its stirrup. He takes a deep breath to make the pain pass. Then he reaches inside his coat. He draws it back out and holds out what appears to be a simple smooth opal. "Take this. If you break it, it will create a great blast of ice and freeze all within a fifty feet. It will work only once, so use it only when you find it necessary." He takes her hand and places it in her palm. "I will not take no for an answer." He stares into her eyes with his one grey eye. The effect is a stark contrast to the icy stare from before. It is actually very warm and grateful. "I owe you my life. And Sionna owes you her husband." He bows as well as he can from his saddle.
Tejas 'kel Khalus nods. "Xal Yah alu xuil dos, ussta khal'abbil," he says. Then he translates for her. "May God go with you, my trusted friend." He clicks his tongue twice and Barra, (Shadow) , his horse, snorts and begins to walk away down the road.
Tejas 'kel Khalus dismounts from Barra, his horse, and tethers the steed to a post outside the bar. Then he walks to the door, swinging it slowly open and stepping inside without a word to anyone. He does not seek any untoward attention, so he reaches up to the brim of his hat and pulls it down low to hide most his face in its shadow.
Tejas 'kel Khalus goes to a corner of the common room and sits down at a table in the shadows. He absently reaches up to wipe away a thin trail of blood that trickles from under the patch that covers the remains of his right eye.
Tejas 'kel Khalus suddenly rises to his feet and moves slowly for the door, certain that none will even recall that he had been here at all . . .

Tejas 'kel Khalus senses a gaze pass over him, and he glances quickly about the room, his face still hidden in the shadow of his hat.
Tejas 'kel Khalus is suddenly very wary, his right hand slipping inside his coat, gripping the hidden hilt of his katana, Fireheart.
