.The Reaper.

The Reaper is a Gunslinger, or more to the point an unlucky one. After being trained to take up the mantle of his family's line of work, he returns home one day to find his house aflame and his family killed.

Description

T H E R E A P E R

The Gunslingers carry the blood of an excelled marksman and sharpshooter. They have sharp eyesight, hearing, smell, taste, and reaction time; and are far from precise with their aim. The quick draw specialists are accurate. Capable of wielding any projectile, the Gunslingers in combat are not individuals you want to pick a fight with. They each have their own ethics and goal, but when put up against each other, they are nearly deadlocked. Individual skill is what separates each one.

History

Current Story: Octavious Misericordia was once the eighth son of a notable Gunslinger family. When he was finally old enough to take on the Gunslinger mantle of his father and older brothers, he was rigorously trained in how to shoot, reload and prepare for the gunslinger world. His initiation was when they brought him to Wilson's warehouse and he entered to retrieve his most used, set of guns. Having emerged with his left and right revolvers as well as his rifle, he was given the title of Gunslinger by his father and his life was headed down the family line of work. That all changed when he returned home one day to find his house aflame and his family nowhere to be seen. He rushed inside only to find all of his brothers and parents shot dead, their guns missing. He managed to find his father's favorite revolver and fled the burning house before it would collapse upon him. Holding his father's gun in his hand, he vowed to find those that did this to his family and take his revenge.

After several years, Octavious finally taught himself how to wield and use, with some slight difficulty, his father's revolver, though he would never trust his life to them in a quick draw fight. He quickly discovered he favored his father's right handed Sidewinder revolver as it was from the same weapon style as his Sidewinder revolver. When he wasn't learning how to shoot the weapons he collected from his dead family, he was busy looking for whatever information he could get his hands on to identify the gang or group that killed his family. The titles of: The Reaper and The Butcher soon followed, The Reaper came from his early years when vengeance burned deep within his eyes as he gave no mercy to those who he thought were responsible for his parent's death. The Butcher followed during a short while when he had to use torture to leverage information out of more... stone-mouthed foes.. He earned the title Devil Eye from his renowned skills with a rifle and it is said: "Only the Devil himself could match a pair of eyes like that."

From time to Time, his path would take his across another Gunslinger like himself, and he would hold a showdown to try and see how well he had come from his last showdown. So far he hasn't lost and, as a side bonus, he has collected quite a few notable guns that he will add to his collection.

The Reaper, Octavious' current title, now spends most of his time enhancing his abilities and skills to try and forge a few signature shots only he can accomplish. His work comes first but only is put aside when he runs across someone who has a pair of Gunslinger guns with them. His current collection is considerable for one such as himself and makes them worth more than at least 15 of his lives and his weapons he carries on him. He usually carries around a bag filled with various weapons he has, with enough time, learned to wield with moderate success. One of them is always his father's Sidewinder. The remainder of his weapons are stored within his current residence and proudly almost take up almost a full wall, without being ordered by weapon type. Very few are combat knives while most are revolvers and rifles. When he isn't wandering out into the world for supplies or chasing down some unlucky individual for information, he is down in the shooting range of his residence, practicing with several of his collected weapons, in case that day ever arrives, where he needs to use weapons other than his own to protect himself, or to finally kill his family's murderers.

Somewhere down his chaotic life he ran across a woman named Lillie Laurensen, a pretty young thing that had fallen for him as he had for her. Sometimes he will leave his home to venture out, southeast to visit her and spend time with her. Lillie is also a practicing Gunslinger and he has taken up as her mentor and trains her whenever his personal quest doesn't get in the way. Octavious is currently trying to stay away from Lillie, afraid that his recent hunts for those which he hates most, will come in between and possibly hurt her, and he couldn't stand to see another person he loves die.

Were his future lies all depends on Who will cross his path next.

So begins...

.The Reaper. The door swung open to admit a lone figure. His presence seemed to beg one not to look yet his outfit wasn't the best for blending in. A crimson red shirt along with a maroon jacket and pants, coupled with a crimson hat pulled down over his eyes and dark black boots to finish it. At his waist were two holsters, the handles of twin revolves just barely visible with a W set into them, the mark of Wilson, the best Gunsmith in all of the Multiverse and a well known brand to mark this lone individual as a Gunslinger. Not just any Gunslinger but a Transhuman, and one of the best at that. The man looked around the bar with a purposeful gaze before crossing over to the counter and having a seat, his head rotating left and then right one final time before he flagged the bartender for a shot of whiskey. Even as he relaxed, his hands hovered over the handles of his revolvers. -c-

.The Reaper. spun in his seat and slowly lifted a hand, his right to be exact, and brought it up, all the fingers curling, save the thumb, as if he wished to magically hitchhike out of the establishment after just arriving. Then, with purposeful slowness, he brought the hand up until the tip of his thumb pushed up on the brim of his hat until his steel gray and cobalt blue optics could be seen visibly. His hand then moved to the counter to snatch up his shot without looking and finish the drink and flag the tender for another.

.The Reaper. glanced down at Rudolf a frown almost fixed upon his face. He looked over at Lagster as well but had the same reaction before looking ahead. The bartender silently set down another shot and moved off, not wanting to make any trouble. The Gunslinger silently took the second shot and downed it as quickly as the fist, leaving the empty glass beside the other without ordering a third.

.The Reaper. slowly removed a coin from his jacket pocket with his right hand and flipped it once, catching it before it even reached the peak of its ascent. He leveled off the coin in his palm, as if to test the weight before preparing to flip it again. His left hand remained dead steady as his thumb flicked it up.

The coin spun into the air and just as it began to fall there was a bang ad it spun higher and further. As it started to fall again the same thing happened. After the third shot the remains of the coin fell just before Rudolf, three clean holes punched through the center of what looked to be a golden coin. The man still held the frown as he put his left revolver away, making no noise, just like when he drew it.

.The Reaper. watched Rudolf as his right hand snapped up, taking his revolver and his arm bent at the elbow and fired over his shoulder. The shot landing dead between the eyes of the man that was attempting to sneak up behind him.

Earlier
Octavious examined the gold coin and flipped it, catching it flat and aimed behind him, without anyone seeing, the surface reflecting the light like a mirror to reveal to him the man hiding in the shadows behind him. His eyes picked out the distorted revolver and he estimated the paces between them.

As he did his fancy trick with the coin and his left revolver each shot he took covered the opening steps of his attacker, just to make the other feel safe. Then it was only a matter of waiting before...

.The Reaper. wasn't done. His left hand drew the revolver again and as his arm snapped into place he fired again, performing a curve shot which would spin out of position, curving around Rudolf to hit the other hunter trying to use him as cover, a move that failed when the pirate moved to snatch up the coin. With both guns drawn his eyes seemed to almost fog over as instincts dictated his actions. Even as he moved he didn't disturb the two wrapped packages across his back as he slowly stood, taking three paces forwards and then scanned for another Hunter.

.The Reaper. couldn't see any enemies anymore and quickly put the revolvers away. His right hand reached up to pull his brim down over his eyes as he crossed the floor to the door. Just before he opened it, however, his hands slowly reached back to grab one of the packages. As the cloth fell away a roar filled the bar as three 10 gauges seemed to go off at once. The man held the Tri-barrel calmly in front of him, door ripped to shreds as three bodies tumbled into a heap through the door and kept it open. Without paying them any mind he put the behemoth of a weapon over his shoulder and left the bar. Exactly in the same mess he had just caused in it.

.The Reaper. On the word whore the door was suddenly kicked open, allowing the harsh sun light to enter the dimly lit bar, outlining a lone figure that stepped through before it shut again. He was an odd one to look at, and different than most. Crimson shirt and hat, which was pulled down over his eyes coupled with a maroon jacket and set of pants. Jet black boots and a belt, also black with a skull and scythe for a buckle, went along with the whole look. Everything to distract the eye from the two cloaked packages over his shoulders and the two holsters just barely hidden beneath the jacket. Though what was visible was the checkered grips with the W set into them, the mark of Wilson, the infamous gunsmith in the whole Multiverse. Which marked this man, as a Gunslinger. But not any Gunslinger, a Transhuman and one of the best there was.

.The Reaper. advanced into the bar, the brim of his hat low to hide his eyes as his head swept left, then right, and then left again before he made his way to the counter, his right shoulder bumping Min rather harshly, though the man made no move to correct his mistake. Instead he looked down to his left and flagged his hand out, two fingers out and nothing more, "Two shots of Whiskey." With that the hand fell down to a point where they hovered near his guns, almost waiting for that little excuse to use them. He turned around and took a seat on the stool nearby, elbows on the counter and hands, still near their respective weapons.

.The Reaper. was faster. Left hand snatching out, his hand grabbing her wrist in the pressure points with a squeeze to disarm as his right hand seized his revolver, the hammer pulled back before anyone could blink and leveled off at one of the body guards. His head turned to glance at min, the tanned skin of his mouth and chin all that could really be seen from her point of view. "Now who taught you your manners? I don't take kindly to those who try to take cheap shots. " His head turned then to acknowledge the guards but turned to look back at Min and then down at the Rod, "Now what do ya say?"

.The Reaper. looked at Min, the frown still frozen upon his face. "Unless you want to take those men back with more of the brains missing, I suggest yo tell them to holster their weapons." He released her hand but his foot stepped down on the flat of the white rod to keep it where it now rested. Still watching Min his left hand reached out and took one of the two shot glasses, which he downed quickly set aside before repeating with the other.

Yet the motion continued till the tip of his thumb came to the brim and slowly pushed up on the hat until his steel gray and cobalt blue irises could be seen clearly.

He gave another glance at the two body guards, "Probably ain't half as difficult as a Gunslinger stand off, but I assume you payed good money for them. Wouldn't mind the practice though..." His right hand tilted a bit as the word "Executioner" became visible on the charred black surface before aiming for the head of one of two guards. .The Reaper. looked at the girl, stare for stare and chuckled, the frown lifting only for that sound before reappearing. "Well we will be at a disagreement now miss... You see. You happened to thrust this object in my direction, and it was my foot that claimed it. The way I understand it, this little object is mine." he didn't pat where the object was, didn't move for his guns or do anything to the girl in front of him. Yet. What he did do was let himself get a feeling for the bar. His hands, which did shake a small amount went dead still as his eyes fogged over slightly, a sign he had gone to a more alert and instinct driven place. Few had ever been close enough to see the point when a Transhuman was no longer "normal."

.The Reaper. remained silent, only watching the girl make a jab at him again and everything slowed. The finger was rising to come at him as both hands snapped down, fingers wrapping neatly into the grooves made for his fingers, thumbs tugging the edges of the hammers as both guns were raised. The finger was somewhere close to halfway now, lifting up and into the light the Guns that had branded him as a Wanted man, dead hopefully and a grand price of Priceless four times over.

When Min would finish jabbing her finger at him, he would be finished as well, with a .45 caliber revolver muzzle pressed into the soft flesh of her forehead, his other gun leveled off at the bodyguards once again. "Don't." The word was a harsh whisper as silence took over where it left off.

.The Reaper. would have pulled the hammer just then, like in the movies for dramatic effect, but waiting so long would be shotty work. Nor was there a safety on his gun, the safety was when the bullets were gone or the hammer was down. "The movies aren't the most accurate in the Multiverse..." He really didn't like this position. While he wanted oh so desperately wanted! To just pull that trigger. He couldn't, yet. For behind the body guards and, no doubt in the shadows around them, there were hunters, all waiting for him to show the slightest slip up, and he needed the rounds for then. He still had his covered guns, but he would rather those be a secret for now.

"Prove to me, without the use of force of bribery, That you deserve this little stick. No not a stick, you said it was valuable to you? A weapon perhaps? IN that case, unless you prove to me that you really want it. You are just going to have to shut up and get out of my way."

If the girl didn't move, after his Ultimatum.

.The Reaper. pulled the trigger. What use was a warning or a cunt down to someone who wouldn't listen? He didn't care for the blood of another child on his hands, after having to kill so many, and women, all who could have been innocent but he could never really know. As he pulled the trigger his opposite gun fired twice, each a precise shot for the body guards' foreheads as he stared down at the girl.

.The Reaper. felt the shot. That was it really, just felt it. Thanks to the beautiful alloy of [SAMA] (or Save My Ass as most call it) and the double layer he had with both his thick jacket and shirt, the small bullet was stopped. Felt like he was punched in the chest, that fact was ignored though as he spun, focusing both guns on the other two. The hunters were still watching, could feel their eyes, most praying he died with that trick shot. That wouldn't be the case.

Left revolver jammed, he had his right, but the problem wouldn't last. Flicking his left to the side the cylinder flipped open and pun for a second as fingers and thumbs danced the dance of shells reloading his gun with new ammunition, and flicked it back shut.

The first round loaded into the chamber had a small "MN" etched on it. it stood for magic negation round, which would do little more than to hit the barrier and sever magical ties to the other. -c-

.The Reaper. With a quick jerk of his wrist then he slammed the gun into a nearby table, breaking apart the ice as he fired a third round with a "KR" for kinetic round. It wouldn't do much except clear the barrel of the other two round and the rock and make the gun functional once more.

At the same time, he fired another three shots with the Ruthless to make sure the others were pinned down as his left revolver would spin to the next round in the chamber with another "MN" etched on it. Taking careful aim he fired for the forehead of the Battle Mage, trusting the bullet to deal with the barrier and him.
