Setting
This is your typical, decently sized diner. Painted in the traditional red and white with speckled Formica countertops. The smell of freshly baked pies fills the air from the small display case by the front entrance. Booths line the walls to the north and south while a few tables mottle the floor down the center. To the back of the diner is a small countertop with swivel stools and an old Wurlitzer jukebox.

Charlene (Charlie) walked into the diner and was dismayed at what she saw on a far wall and her face fell. She slipped into a nearby booth as she saw yet another poster with her picture. On it she saw the lie again about her being a threat to national security. She knew "the shop" had to be involved. She'd learned these last six years since she'd burned down the original "shop", how to control her abilities. She DID, however, still have to be careful not to let her emotions get the best of her, though.
Charlene (Charlie) looked at Lee. "Um..." she looked at the poster and back at Lee, not knowing if she could trust him. What if he believed what was on the poster and tried to take her in? She looked down at her hands and fiddled with them nervously.
Lee Hitsugaya looked at the poster and chuckled. "That your mugshot?" Lee asked with a smile. "Not bad. How come you got such a good photographer?" He asked, taking a seat.
Charlene (Charlie) grinned. "Because they have good people following me. I don't really know. So let me see, you want to know whether you should help me out or take me in. You want to know if I am really a threat to national security." She prodded, waiting for him to answer.
Lee Hitsugaya chuckled. "Partially. Though I myself am on the run from another group so I really don't think me taking you in would help me out any. You know, the proverbial radar and all that."
Charlene (Charlie) giggled. "I guess I should be relieved, but somehow I am not. I think we are putting one another in danger even speaking, but the utter boredom of being constantly on the run and having no one to talk to is killing me." She sighs sadly as she thinks about it.
Lee Hitsugaya chuckled. "Yeah well, I can avoid detection pretty easily." Lee said with a grin, shapeshifting to copy her form before turning back.
Charlene (Charlie) laughed. "Well that is handy. My power is a bit more destructive, which is partly why I am on the run. But be assured that it is a lie that the government themselves want me, it is a private interest group called "the shop".
Lee Hitsugaya chuckled. "The Shop? That's..." Lee paused for a second, giving and odd look. "Unoriginal." He said, his face sort of disgusted.
Charlene (Charlie) smiled and shook her head. "I am Charlene, but my adoptive parents and the few friends I have made my years on the run, generally call my Charlie."

Lee Hitsugaya chuckled and held out his hand. "Lee Hitsugaya. No one I know has enough sense to make up a decent nickname." Lee said playfully.
Charlene (Charlie) laughed and said. "Hmm...you really shouldn't have said that,.....Leelee." She took his hand, giggling, then retracted her hand after shaking his.
Lee Hitsugaya burst out laughing. "Leelee? Oh now that would be great if I was a girl." He said, shaking his head as he began to control himself. "So, Charlene. What exactly is this group's beef?"
Charlene (Charlie) shrugged. "They seem to think I am dangerous, but I think they just want to learn how to harness my power for themselves and sell the information to foreign investors. I heard some of them talking last time I was captured."
Jazmin wondered what she had missed as she paid attention to the ongoing conversation. She had a hand on her bag, which was next to her. She was ready to pull out her sniper rifle if need be.
Charlene (Charlie) looked dis-trustingly at Jazmin, realizing she seemed to be focusing on a bag next to her and figuring it contained some sort of weapons.
Lee Hitsugaya shook his head. "Ignore my friend. She gets jumpy. After all, I'm pretty sure she was asleep." Lee said with a chuckle.
