Reaching its peak, she clambered to the top, huffing and puffing to catch her breath. Up here, the air was thinner, colder, and overall much more miserable. There was no room for regrets, however, she had a feeling her destination was close. She looked down at the small city, a glint in her eyes at the sight of civilization. She grinned. Even from this height, she knew, these are the same creatures that once gave her that wonderful white and warm room. Not the same ones, no, but of their kind.
Hearing a strange sound, she looked past the city, towards where the vessels were descending and rising. Her destination was always closer than she ever imagined. It was time for one last plunge. Spreading her forelimbs, she launched herself from the top.
