Setting
"...I'm not going to let some minor inconvenience ruin my battle!~" she remarked with a tomboyish grin. "Whatever's causing these anomalies had better try a lot harder than that if it wants to change our way of life--And as I recall, theres no /running/ from a trainer battle!" she remarked, displaying resolute confidence and disregard for the significance of what had just happened.
Without further ado, she brushed herself off and directed her attention to Nero's Aerodactyl, giving him just enough time to realize how serious she was and get back into the battling mindsight. "Aggron, use Magnet Rise and give it a /head smash/!--Right in the jaw!" she said with vigor, though her voice had become a bit scratchy due to that cold. Aggron charged forward, using it's now intense speed combined with the gravity defying powers of magnetism to launch itself off the ground powerfully, tilting it's head forward in anticipation to headbutt the aerodactyl with it's rather cruel looking horn, once again exploiting a type advantage. Whether she recognized these things or her gut just told her what use to move was up for debate.
...but then again, maintaining type advantage wasn't the only way to win a pokémon battle, now was it? "Arthur, a demonstration of heated passion, if you will?" Nero said, giving Arthur a wry grin. Arthur tumbled backwards through the air for a moment, regaining his composure before sending a wry, toothy grin towards his opponent. His eyes narrowed coyly, and his barbed tail whipped around enticingly, as he began to Attract Iris' Aggron. He would then wait for an opportunity when the hopefully smitten steel pokémon let down her guard to deliver a Flamethrower attack at point blank range.
"I would think you of all people would know that rock types resist fire type moves!~" she remarked casually, before directing Aggron towards the offending pokemon. "Fully awake, Aggron?!" she asked, not waiting for an answer. "Use Head Smash, again!" she commanded, not content to let Nero get away without taking a deadly headbutt. Aggron shuddered but obeyed, flinging it's still steaming body at Nero's aerodactyl.
Meanwhile, in the air Arthur was prepared for a riposte from the object of his flirtations. His naturally high speed, coupled with the hesitant nature of Aggron's attack, it's sub-standard accuracy, and the fact that Aggron was out of her native element- the air- allowed Arthur to dive away low to the ground, sneering as Aggron surged clumsily through the place where he had been just moments prior.
"Nicely done, Arthur. Now rub salt in the wound. Torment." Nero said with authority. Arthur flung a nasty grin at Aggron as she hovered in mid-air, growling and barking a series of grievous and slanderous insults at her. The goal of which was to prevent her from using the same attack twice in a row.
"Very well done Arthur, you've done your part. Let's enact phase 3, shall we Beatrice?" Nero said, recalling Arthur and tossing out the injured Tentacruel again. Thankfully, since there was still rain falling on the battlefield, Beatrice was able to regain some of her vigor thanks to her Rain Dish ability. "Direct assault, if you will." Nero said calmly.
"Gogoooooh!" the shiny tentacruel rumbled as she let loose a squalid blast of acidic water towards Aggron: a Brine attack. Water was the only attack element on his team that Nero knew Aggron was weak to, and since Iris' Aggron already had some damage on her, Brine's attack power would be doubled.
Standing limp, that is. The pokemon appeared to have fainted standing up, and had it's head hung in a useless, defeated manner. Iris meanwhile seemed dazed by the fog and surveyed the arena briefly before returning her Aggron. She silently stared at the pokeball for a brief moment before putting it away and replacing it with another. A slightly delirious grin on her face, she sent out... a lapras.
"Nice job~ I think it's time to finish this, though!" she said with confidence, before directing her index finger outwards. "Lapras, Thunder!" she demanded, and the water type pokemon responded by unleashing a powerful lightning strike down on tentacruel, electrocuting the immediate area and sending sparks flying. It appeared she intended to use the rain in her favor, now.
Tinora;was watching not knowing what is coming she looked up eyes widen before standing up"what in the worlwhy is it here until her own lets itself out smelling the wild one don't know if this is good or bad though she looked at the battle as well
Flame;Tinora's Charizard was watching the female charizard before flying up and over the stadium to get a better look
"Very well, Iris. But I do not plan to make this easy." Nero said, palming his next pokéball. He had to have faith that she was going to beat him. Even if he went all out. "Reginald! Enact Stage 5!" Nero called out, lobbing the solid Red pokéball into the field. In a huge flash of light, Nero's own Aggron roared onto the field. Immediately the giant beast began to charge towards Lapras, letting out a challenging bellow.
"Reginald!" Nero called out. The raging Aggron whipped its shining head around and locked its shining blue eyes on Nero's.
"Thunder." Nero said.
With gritted teeth, Reginald the Aggron rotated around and began to summon electrical energy into his horn. It built up for just a moment, before shooting up into the clouds, arcing, then hurtling back towards the Lapras.
Or... did it?
When the steam cleared, Lapras appeared to be unconscious, laying there with it's eyes closed. Something might seem off however. With each rain droplet that hit Lapras body small shockwaves of energy were given off, spreading across it's body and rapidly healing it's wounds. The needles shattered and the wounds they'd caused closed. The poison left it's body.
Within moments it was as if the attack had never hit...
And then Lapras opened it's eyes sharply. It had just used rest!
...And the rain had woken it up almost immediately. Such was a somewhat rare and powerful ability demonstrated by some water-type pokemon. "Nice try~" she remarked, apparently having been aware of what was going on the entire time--Well, that would've explained her confident demeanor anyway. "But you're going to need a much stronger thunder than that to take Lapras down!" she called out, cringing slightly as the urge to cough hit her and was restrained. "Show him how it's done, Lapras--Thunder!" she commanded. Knowing a great deal about the aggron species, she was fully aware that although it was a rock type, it was far from immune to electric attacks--It didn't even resist them, being an exception to the line of rock types that were also ground types. In truth, she hoped to paralyze the steel type pokemon, as she suspected that a crippling paralyzation would likely end the battle then and there.
Tinora;was watching two things going on a battle and the two charizards the black charizard which a wild and of course you have flame Tinora's charizard was not though she have thing when it comes to charizards she always admire these pokemon everyday
Flame;interested in Zardia a little more as the two flown around speaking in poketongue interaducing themselves
Nero could perhaps also try to use Reginald's Metal Sound attack over and over to try and remove the Lapras' physical defenses completely, and then finish it off with a well-placed Double-Edge maneuver, but Nero wasn't sure that Reginald would be able to last that long against the assault that would come in response, and even then, that single final attack wouldn't be guaranteed to eliminate the Lapras before she could Rest again. Perhaps if it wasn't raining...then that would be an option. But Nero had to acknowledge the cards as they lay. He didn't need to subject Reginald to the pain that would end to defeat anyway; he respected his pokémon too much.
"Well played, Iris." Nero said, with a mirthful smile. He began to clap his hands before recalling Reginald back to his red pokéball. "It seems that you have one this match. I honorably forfeit in the interest of sparing my Aggron unnecessary pain." he said, bowing at the hip to the Grand Champion.
"...It's nice to know my adviser isn't all talk!~" she said in a cheerful manner, apparently somewhat impressed. "Thanks for battling me--I think I learned a lot about you just by seeing how you used your pokemon in battle~" she continued with a sly, ever so subtle wink before turning briefly to the crowd. Her eyes scanned it before stopping on Tinora briefly. Normally, she would've had some sage advice straight from her gut regarding how a trainer could improve themselves, but she decidedly held her tongue this time around.
Zardia;gave a snort like Flame must have said something to anger it
"I am glad we took part in a battle as well. Now then, is there anything else official that needs to be discussed?" Nero asked, adjusting his cufflinks and latching Reginald's pokéball back on to his belt. He briefly looked up at the wild, shiny charizard circling the stadium. It was odd that there was no one attempting to try and capture it; perhaps they were keeping their composure out of respect for the Grand Champion. Still...seeing such a rare pokémon...it was not an opportunity to pass up lightly.
With a small click, he opened the door to slip into the stadium's infirmary and was gone.
Flame;looking at wild charizard growling a bit as the female looked at him like the female wanted something
Tinora;was really watching the two and stood next too her charizard "what is you want with Flame here I am sure what ever said to offend you he is sorry "she said
Zardia;kept looking at them but looking a Flame the most like they both want something to bad they don't have a pokemon traslater
Zardia;and Flamer both were outside the stadium standing across from eachother while her own was waiting for his trainer who finally came out though there are people outside watching this
Tinora;came running outside and seeing both charizards ready to go she bit her lip never had her own charizard battled another before don't even know how to defeat one if there is one "Flame are you sure you wanna battle her "she asked him
Flame;nodding and roared itching to go
Tinora;"alright then well lets do our best amd show our team work "she smirked at her own charizard before turning to the black one "okay we are on go Flame lets tart with wing attack "she called out and her charizard went at the wild female who flew up to dodge it and used a flamethrower from behind him
