Tyler approached the old worn house that was Half Blood Orphanage with his best friend Grover a satyr and servant to the god of wine and parties. Tyler was you're typical California surfer dude great body very tanned and sun bleached hair and sea green eyes. "so you're telling me I'm the son of Apollo the sun god" Tyler asked for the millionth time Grover sighed "yes he is now hurry up now that you know you're most likely to be attacked by monsters and once you make it past the gate you'll be safe."
grover said no sooner had Tyler taken a step towards the gate then a Cyclops swiped at him from out of nowhere and knocked him into the wall. "crap" Tyler groaned he could tell by instinct he had a cracked rib. The Cyclops lunged at him again but this time he lept to the side avoiding the hand. Tyler was now standing in bright sunlight the adrenaline stopping the pain the light blinded him and he put his hand to his eyes the sun reflected off it like a mirror hitting the Cyclops right in the belly. It howled in pain and Tyler ran at him and jumped on it and looked around he grabbed a branch and shoved it in the Cyclops eye and it turned to dust and Tyler fell to the ground and blacked out. When he woke up he saw a girl feeding him ambrosia and nectar and smiling at him kindly "great you're awake" Sonny said there was a click and in walked a gothic looking girl "hey rain can you do me a favor and take care of him I need to run to my room for a minute" Sonny asked

The son of Artemis, Jared Hunter, had been the one to drag Tyler inside the orphanage, but had almost immediately regretted doing so. The moment Sonny had laid eyes on the unconious boy, Jared had known. He had seen the look in her eyes. The pair of them were soulmates, and the girl of his dreams had been cruelly snatched away by some stinking son of Apollo. What a way to start the morning. Still, the proud hunter did not let it bother him. He and Sonny had barely exchanged words anyway, and being the son and daughter of Apollo and Aphrodite, the two would probably hit it off with the flirting as soon as he came round. They'd be sneaking off to each other's tents by dinner time, no doubt.
Pausing a moment to reflect, Jared shook his head and continue his work. Falling for a daughter of Aphrodite, how typical. The brooding loner and the flirty blonde? Yeah, never gonna happen. It was natural for Sonny to go for someone more like herself, not Jared who had never spoken a word to her. The next slice of his knife became so angry and fast, Jared yelped and jumped up in pain. He had sliced the skin off his finger. Great, just fantastic. Glancing around, he couldn't see any plants which would help the bleeding, so he headed to the stream. Cleaning the wound and then tearing off a small part form his trainning shirt, he created a makeshift bandage which quickly became red.
Sighing, the brunette fell onto his backside, sucking the wound and feeling more than a little sorry for himself.

Jason had taken to his bow after his inherited "Adonis" genes had kicked in. Yeah, he was used to being followed by girls (and back then he hadn't known why) but now it was getting crazy. Shortly after entering the orphanage, he discovered he was beginning to surpass most arching skills and refused to accept someone could possibly be better. He could deal with some archers but if someone (and he got news of this too) like Apollo came around...yeah, even Jason knew of the rivalry between those the two gods. Even though it was more of a 'competing friendship'...
In the woods, Jason hid up in a tree, the silver bow slung over his back as he shook his dark hair from his eyes. He could sense a crush a mile away and boy, was this one strong...leaning forward so one long hand hung from the branch he looked down at a son of Artemis by the stream thinking about a certain someone--oh-ho the irony, indeed.
"You know, I heard that there's a son of Apollo that's a new kid...Sonny kinda likes him."
At that, he dropped to the forest floor, his boots crunching in the leaves.
"Lemmie have one shot and she can be yours, man." Reaching a hand forward, he ruffles the other's hair jokingly. Nobody ever gave him the chance to actually use something he could do...quite well.

Once outside, she pulled at her tunic stings, working to keep the tight-fit comfortable. As she walked her eyes flickered to Jason and Jared. What were they talking about? Kacie took a guess; girls, and at that, probably one of the aphrodite bunch. She scoffed a little, annoyed that she was being outmatched by a bunch of dumb little sissies; well, some of them were, anyway. When her helmet was once more on she turned back to her sparring parter, and they once more began to perfect her famous fighting skills.

Later that afternoon, Jason had thought of a safe place none of the girls would go: Training. And the teenager had dwindled hours there until the late afternoon shooting arrows to the point that someone had to go on Pegasuses to see if he had hit the target--which he had always did. It was in his blood, of course. His dad was known for always hitting his mark. Jason was usually gentle-looking when he shot but he had always hit the target straight on no matter the distance.
Turning swiftly on the blonde, the brunette smiled gracefully in the eye of a challenge, arrow already nocked.
"Apollo's kid, right? Finally, a decent challenge. I hope you live up to expectations."
He takes himself out of position to allow the other to have a go.

Taking a deep breath, Jason re-nocked his arrow, catching a glimpse of the gold arrows Apollo had supplied his son. It was, no doubt, a stolen idea. Besides, silver was stronger, he reminded himself. Riiight...
With one fluid motion, the silver string was drawn toward his face finally resting at the corner of his serious mouth. Standing erect with his body in the shape of a 'T', he finds the point of the target and aims. Jason takes into account the wind (and the easy-going demi-god beside him...if he turned a liiiitle bit to the right...) Finally, he lets his two fingers free and watches the red fletching soar past the target that Tyler had hit and make a thud deep in the forest.
"I coulda done that Robin Hood thing and split your arrow down the middle...but I'm writing my name on a tree with tiny pricks. If you want to, by all means take a walk with me...I'm almost done with the 'S'."

With a sigh, the other responds, "Well of course they've broken up with you or else you'd be married by now, I take it. And sure, lemmie see what you can do but if it's the fact you've got a double-jointed elbow...really...you can keep that skill to yourself." With another graceful chuckle, Jason eyes a group of Aphrodite girls on the other side of the training field having an argument with a group of dryads.
