"You remember the secret room in the throne room of this very castle? The story I told you of the things inside it?" The old King asked tiredly. "I want you to be taken care of. Therefore I say that when you leave my side again, you will go to that secret place, and plead with the Crystal to give you aid in your struggle against these dark beings. I believe from the bottom of my heart that the story of which we hold most secret, is true. If it truly is true, then you will be safe, and I am content, if it isn't, then go anyway and try. Try to be a good ruler of these people daughter." With those words the king fell once again into a seemingly tireless sleep, his life becoming more fragile by the second.
---
Meanwhile within said Secret room, which seems to be a very large room with a large crystal at the center of it. It pulses a pale green light in the beat of a heart. It was as if the Crystal held something very important within it, and was very much alive. The pulsing of the crystal often pauses, and some Generations of the Fenarin Royal Family, long passed from this world, could seemingly make out the faint outline of a man within the crystal before said crystal picks up in it's pulsing once more. But until such things are revealed to the world, the crystal still holds it's secret very close to it.
The thick smell of death and rot, it was often met with the fiery heat and warmth which wafted off the ground, strengthing the putrid smell and turning it in a noxious ordor. Miasma was thick in this realm- it made up a lot of the atmosphere here.
It had been a long time since he breathed anything other than this foul air- but as he searched for an opening, a bit of light, anything. Nothing was ever there to be found.
However, there came a time- maybe brought on by some naiive devil worshipper, or summoner- a gateway was formed, and fresh air began pouring through the cracks. It drew demons to it. The smell of people was new, better, temping, all at the same time. It conceived much curiousity within the demons' hearts- if they had them, at least, and it drew them far and wide to a specific area in the deadly realm.
They came like moths to a light in the dark, absorbed by their sick and twisted desires. The lord of them, most of all, one who had been trapped her every since that time- was probably of them all, most entranced by this phenomenae.
It was on the first day of this gateway's creation, that he left the realm, and led demons to the conjoined world.
The sun, though not at it's highest, burned their eyes- but as they began to adjust, they were able to see a world which most have not, from their kind.
Aza'zel, was quite familiar with this land, on the other hand. He even had an idea of where they were..
And that's what most believe- is the story to the demons arrival.
"Lets hurry and take care of him before he wakes up"
"Agreed"
Saxton stood up staring at the two thieves "Will you please let me get some rest I just stopped walking from a whole days worth of walking and I'm tired" The thieves took out knives and smiled the first one laughing a bit "We know who you are from looking through your stuff and looking at that scar on your face you are the Demon of Grimes, fire mage outlaw and you got a big price on your head. I think we will take your head and take that price and people will fear us cause we kille..." Before the thief could stop talk Saxton took his sword covered it in flames and cut him in half then turned to the other thief and turned him into ash "Well looks like another night of walking for me. Maybe I will come across an Inn and can get some rest there." Looking at the thief he cut in half "I'm sure he has money on him that I can use" Saxton cleaned his blade and sheathed it then gathered his stuff and started walking again looking for the road so he can find the nearest inn.

Sabariel walked into the capitol of Fenarin staring at the castle "It looks nicer than my castle, probably cause my castle still needs to be repaired from the war." Looking at her surroundings "I wonder how much they know? I guess its know of my business anyways. Focus Sabariel I need to go the castle and talk to the Ruler tell him or her that I am her to help in their time of need and to ask for help finding The Demon. Only one problem, No one has told me what he looks like or his real name. Only things I know about him are his eyes glow red when he uses magic, is a fire mage, and is really young for an elf." Sabariel sighed and continued walking towards the castle.
He stopped for a moment, lifted open the right side of his cloak and pulled out a map. "Hmm, seems to be a small village just down the road. Might as well, take up lodging there for the night, and set out for Fenarin at Dawn." He rolled up the map, and put it back in it's original pocket.
Little while later, at the village
A door creaked open. "Ohhhh! Hello! Please do come in!!" yelled a woman sweeping the hard wooden floor. Calvin slowly walked into the inn. "Greetings, yes, I was wondering if you had an open room for a young inspiring traveler?" he asked. The woman replied. "Why yes! Of course! It's always nice to see new faces around these parts. Besides the traveling merchants, my husband and I don't see many visitors. Oh, let me go get you, your room key, just one moment dear." The woman scurried off. "Thanks." Calvin said softly as he looked around. There was a roaring fireplace, with a huge bear pelt lying in front of it. Candles lit the entrance quite nicely, and there was a peaceful feel in the air. Calvin sat in a chair, a little ways from the fireplace, and pulled out a older looking, sealed book. He undid the seal, grabbed a ink jar and a feather from a container, and began writing. The innkeeper woman, came out from a corridor and walked up to him. "Here you are dear, your key, upstairs, second room on the right. enjoy your stay." "Thank you kindly." Calvin said. "Now, then, back to my journal."

As her father, lay sleeping. Her dark eyes fell on the suit of arms her brother wore. She gently set her father's hand upon his chest and placed a small kiss to his brow.
She smiled some. Even as he lay dying, his scent was still the same. It was one that as a girl whenever she caught whiff, she knew he was home. Even in the large palace, it floated to her. Telling her, her father was alive.
She slowly walked toward her brother's armour. It carried his scent as well. She held her eyes close to stop the tears that wanted to fall. They were close. He would bring her souvenirs from his journeys, tell tales of his battles and even reenacting them while she laughed and laughed. The thought of that made her tears fall free. She couldn't hold them back any longer as she gripped the desk and wept. The demons stole her best friend, and now, sickness was taking her father as it did her mother. She felt so impossibily alone in this large palace. She would soon be unable to hear hear father's boisterous commands from her bed room. Or her brother's heartly laugh as he spun his yarns. Oh, How was she to continue on without them? She threw her head back. Her long raven hair falling from it's lavish headdress and down, brushing the small of her back. She was to be Queen. She would carry on. As she promised her father and she vowed to her departed brother. She could carry on. She will defeat these demons. Somehow...
Tayia allowed her tears to dry and exited her Father's bed chamber. Moving swiftly, she made her way down, down deep in the palace were only Royal's knew. A Torch in hand, she traveled down flights of stairways and narrow hallways until she came to the Door. Her and her brother often played at this door daring one another to go in but both to afriad to.
Hooking the torch in it's wall mounted holder, she pressed her hand against the large brass door in with which held the Ferinin Crest. She pressed with a great deal of strength and pushed through.
Immediately, her eyes fell on the blinding pale green light emitting from the Crystal. It casted dark shadow behind her, lighting her dark skin with a pale green profile. She stood before it. It's steady pulse was like a strong proud heartbeat. She kneel before it, Her royal gown and robe creating a circle around her, she closed her eyes.
"Great Crystal. I ask you. Help this kingdom in this, our hour of need. Lend us your Secret so that we may face these Demons. So that we may return husbands, fathers, brothers, back to their families alive..." She said and she squeezed her eyes tight as tears formed again. "Please Great Crystal, Help us so that we may live in Peace."
That's when the long kept Secret of the Kingdom of Fenarin, awoke for the first time in eons. The Crystal still kept its loving and comforting pale green glow, but slowly an opening emerged within, and the sound of a dagger hitting the Imp full on in the chest followed it. Then the sound of cautious, yet unsteady, footsteps came from the still glowing crystal. Slowly, a man of fair skin and dark shoulder length hair, clad in a strange blue and grey armor of a strange land, emerged from the crystal.
The man looked around and discovered the imp with the dagger stuck to it. Grasping it tightly he pulled it out and gazed at it. He looked at it in an adoring, yet curious way. Then he slowly sheathed the dagger in a sheathe on his left thigh. He then felt an odd weight on his back and slowly gripped the red handle of a sword in a black scabbard, slung across his back. It was at that moment he sneezed. He shook his head in an odd fashion and then looked at the woman in front of him, and knelt down to her level.
"Who- who are you?" The Man asked as he found his voice, and marveled at the sound of it. "What is this place? Why are you crying?"

It was then she watched as a fair skin made exited the Crystal. He seemed ever curious as he removed the dagger from it's bloodly sheath and into it's original one. He examined his equipment breifly then turned his attention toward her. He knelt down to meet her gaze.
He asked her who she was, what place was and why she was crying. She hadn't even noticed that as she opened her eyes, tears had fallen. She blinked them back, regaining her composure. "I am Princess Tayia Feranin. You are in a room with the Feranin Palace and because I lost my dear brother and I am losing my father. That is why I am crying." She told him honestly. She had no reason to lie to him as she did not fear him. Her father always told her that to lie is to be afriad. If you have nothing to hide then you have nothing to fear and in turn you have no need to lie.
Tayia rose from her kneeling postion. "You are the Champion, I assume? You are to help us?"
He was about to speak again but then a sharp sting of pain within his head came as he thought about the reasons why. His mind felt like a million blades were shoved into it, and something upon his skin of his back, burned like fire. "My back, it burns." he muttered as he then paused and slowly closed his eyes to breath ever so calmly. His mind wandered to a place where the pain wasn't so unbearable. Slowly he looked at the Princess with his blue shining eyes, looking as if he was slowly comprehending something that was at the tip of his tongue and willing to speak.
"I remember my name. Because calling me Champion is, not really a cup of sake for me." He slowly spoke in a soft yet slightly humorous voice. "My name is, Masenai Zadiel. But just call me Masenai." as he said those words he slowly got up and slowly took an unsteady step forward. "Gah, I'm not steady on my feet. How long was I actually sleeping for?" he muttered to himself as he slowly took a few more unsteady steps.
"Another visitor?" A woman was cleaning one of the tables and smiled "How can i help you sir?"
Saxton bowed his head "I need a room, a good nights rest, and a tasty breakfast"
She smiled "Of course one moment and I will get your room key" The woman walked into a different room for a minute then came back out with a key your room is number 4 yup the stairs it is the second room on the left" She gave the key to Saxton
Taking the key "Thank you" Saxton walked up the stairs to his room unlocked the door set his stuff down, he locked the door then laid down on the bed and fell asleep

Sabariel walked up to one of the guards "Please tell me the name of your Ruler" The guard stared at her like she was crazy "Do I need to repeat myself?"
"Sorry Miss our Ruler is Princess soon to be Queen Tayia Fenarin"
"Thank you, now can you please inform her that I Sabariel Ryul the Queen of Grimes am here to speak with her and make it quick I have a lot on my mind that I need to tell her"
The guard was surprised by this "Yes your majesty, also would you like to wait inside for Princess Tayia?"
"Yes" The guard lead Sabariel to the throne room
"Please wait here while I look for her" the guard walked off looking for Tayia.
"There is to much on my mind" Sabariel stood there thinking about different things.

(sorry so short >_<)
He was close to getting lost in his own thoughts he barely heard her answer to how long he slept, it didn't matter. He was asleep long enough to know that any friends or family he might've had, were long gone. "What is he ill of? Your father I mean. As for my walking, I think that after how long I slept, the muscles in them aren't a lot limber as they should be. However I think I can be able to take a few steps on my own, but I just gotta keep my balance. Funny, Ryoko would laugh if I was seen like this unable to..." he trailed off at the statement as he remembered a word, or a name. He couldn't remember what it meant.
"Ryoko?" He said the word again to think about what it meant. Then his head pounded in pain for a few seconds, forcing Masenai to veer away from the memories that eluded him for the time being. "Just, hold my arm till I get the hang of walking again please?" Masenai asked in a polite manner, trying to mask the pain he's trying to endure in his attempt to recover his memories.

She nodded as he asked her to keep a hand on him to keep him steady. "Of course. Just get your barrings." She told him softly.
She lead him toward the stairs and cringed at the thought of all the stairs and the long corridors he would have to travel. "Masenai, I should warn you, There are many stairs, if you feel we should stop, do not hesitate to ask." She told him softly. For some reason she felt comfortable around him. She did not know why and she hadn't time to think about it. She was more to concern with his being able to walk.
He slowly looked around the castle area as he shut his eyes at the brightly lit interior of the main area of the castle. "Ow! What a bright castle you have your highness." Masenai complimented. "Can you try to take me to your father or is he still probably saving as much strength he can?" He asked in a hopeful tone for any clues that might help the warrior figure out what happened to him. At that thought he thought he saw someone in the throne room with pointed ears and long blonde hair. "Tayia? It looks like someone is here for you. An Elvahn royal by the looks of it." Masenai said with a note of curiosity about him once more. "That's one thing that's familiar to me. Elves."
He chuckled a bit before almost losing his balance again. "Okay, My walking has improved, but self balance, not so much." He stated in a disappointed tone.

and her people were in dire straits and despite her efforts she could not lift thier spirits. She was glad to see that. Her lightned mood darken as he asked her about her family. "My brother was killed by Demons in battle." She told him as they travelled the many stairs. "My mother died during childbirth." She told him and by her tone, it could be seen she would not speak anymore on it.
Once they reached the more public part of the palace. Masenai complimented her on the brightness. She smiled quickly. It was lighter then this...Once.
"We will let him save his strength, He will call for me when he has awakened." She assured him and it was then a guard approached then alerting her wait Masenai had already gathered. "Aye, Queen of Grimes. Queen Sabieral. I will meet with her in the confrence hall shortly." She told the guard and he shuffled off to relay the message. Tayia turned her attention to Masenai again as he stumbled then joked a bit. For the first time in a while, a small smile played across her lips. "Hold on to my arm. I will lead you to a chamber so you can get your bearings in private." She told him and lead him toward a large bedchamber not far from hers. Her brother's. She had not entered since his death but figured Masenai was worthy enough to stay in her brothers chamber. If he were here, He would laugh and tell her to stop lolligagging and show him the room. She stopped at the door. She still couldn't enter. It been left untouched since his death as well. the draft from under the door filled his nose with his scent. "You can stay here." She told him, hiding her grief behind her hair, though a tear found it's way down her cheek.
"There is someone who wants to talk to you before you leave he is sleeping right now but he might wake up soon"
-------
Sabariel was approached by a guard "Queen Sabariel, Princess Tayia will meet you in the conference hall shortly. Please follow me" The guard lead her to the conference hall after they got there he left "Who was the man that I saw the Princess with and why did he look so tired? Its none of my business who he was" She sat down and waited for Tayia
He then started to look concerned when he saw a tear running down her cheek. He put his finger under her chin so that the tear landed on it. "Don't cry. Please don't cry." He said in a gentle tone. "I honestly don't know what to do when I see someone cry. I can make you a promise though. They will pay." At the sound of that promise, he felt like a great weight lifted off his chest, as he slowly let go of her arm.
"You need to look confident for the Queen of Grimes." He said gently as a word of advice. "Just make sure you check up on me when you're done." With those words he softly walked to the door and slowly opened it, walking inside the room of the late Prince of Fenarin. He found a chair that looked comfortable enough to sit in and made his way to it, slowly sitting down with a slow contented smile.
"Is this comfort?" he thought, "That's good, I almost forgot what it felt like. But there are things I have forgotten. Why am I here? Why was I placed in a crystal, what sorcery held me there for eons that I would not leave it of my own free will? Where was I born, who taught me the sword, and what was my life like before?"
Masenai only gave a soft sigh of content. "Questions always have answers." He said softly.

Sabariel gave a slight bow when Tayia walked into the room then stood up "I have come to give you my help during this war, now to answer a question before you can ask it is the reason why it is just me here. My kingdom was just in a war that lasted 10 years, I'm sure you have heard about it. Well the war ended 4 years ago and my armies is to spread out in my kingdom that I can not gather them to help." Sitting back down she continued "There is another reason why I didn't bring my armies, there is an outlaw in your kingdom known as The Demon of Grimes, he is an elf fire mage who eyes glow red when he uses his magic and there are to many soldiers with injured pride that would gladly kill him if they ever met him. I'm seeking him out cause he would be a great ally in this war and the reason he is an outlaw was a mistake that should of never happened. Only one problem however I don't know what the Demon of Grimes looks like or what his name is, I barely know anything about him" Sabariel frowned a bit "There are to many problems and to many complications but if we can find The Demon of Grimes then this kingdom chances grow. I talk to much sometimes"
There were several specks of shadows followed by a hulking one headed right for it. Masenai slowly scowled at them as he jumped off the balcony and ran across the rooftops towards the city gates yet laid low when he reached it. the hulking shadow was the first to be seen. It was a seven foot tall ogre, followed by several people that had dark tattoos written on their arms, with an insignia he found all too familiar. "Demonic writing, they're demons!" Masenai thought as he slowly drew his sword. He then slowly climbed up the city walls to go over the gate. His breathing slowed to a painful crawl as he braced himself for his next stage of his plan, The Ogre lifted up his massive club in an attempt to smash in the gates. That was when Masenai jumped.
The Ogre screamed in pain as his shoulder was pierced, and tried to shake off the thing that stung him, only to have something jab into his neck, causing him to fall on one of the demons to bleed to death. The remaining two demons hissed and roared in fury as they attacked the Assailant. Masenai simply pulled his dagger out and threw it at one demon's head and grabbed the other one by the neck.
"Who sent you?" Masenai hissed in an anger filled whisper. "Come on, I'm not a patient man."
"Our orders came from the Demon Lord to intimidate the Princess of Fenarin, to make her understand it's hopeless to stand against us!" The demon shouted. "A thousand curses whoever you are for interfering in this war!" At that Masenai tightened his grip on the demon.
"I'm letting you live, so that way your lord has a message given to him. You intimidated her when you killed her brother, but she found the courage to stand up to you." Masenai stated in a calm yet deadly voice. "One more thing, if you ever try to attack the Princess again, I'll be there. Now, begone!"
He let the Demon go and watched it sprout wings as it flew off into the skies. He retrieved his weapons and headed back to the room he was in to be sure that no one missed him. When he got there he sat down on the chair he was at, trying to unscramble the puzzle of his memories. "Ryoko... what does that word mean?"

Tayia listened intently to the Queen of Grimes. She had indeed heard tales of the war, she'd ended. It was stuff of legend. Tayia wished she was as strong as Queen Saberial. Then she spoke of the Demon of Grimes. The "Demon" title alone was enough to cause alarm but then Sabieral said that he was wrongfully accused. Tayia would make the decision for herself. Once the Queen finished, Tayia began to think. "Do you know where this Demon of Grimes, may be. If you believe him an ally then we must find him," Sje paused. "Do you believe he would be willing to help. It seems that the man has been shunned by society, He may not hold any sympathy toward us as people hold no sympathy for him." She reasoned. "What do we know of him, aside from his magick. Prehaps he has a better nature we could appeal to. We would have to have something that he'd want to risk his life for, yes?" She said, always thinking ahead. Something her brother was unable to do. Her dearly departed brother was impulsive where she ws careful. He planned for very little while she planned for it all. Opposites, the two but it was what made them a team. He'd promised her that whenever he took the throne, she'd be his royal advisor and she would teased saying, yes, because he would lose his head were it not attached to his body.
She missed him so. She kept her mouning from being betrayed by her expression as she watched the Queen of Grimes.
-------
"Where the Demon is all I know is that he is in your kingdom, and even though I don't know what he looks like he should stand out cause he is an elf and there aren't that many in your kingdom. Do I know if he will be willing to help us, sadly I don't know but I do need to say I'm sorry to him for the pained I caused him. His entire village was destroyed and his family was killed. I'm sure if he knows that I seek his forgiveness for the mistake that I did and that I would do almost anything to make it up to him, that he will help in this war." Sabariel stood up "Do you have anything that I could eat? I'm rather hungry"
