She gets this complex from her parents, who demanded respect and attention on a daily bases from their social lives. Despite having etiquette training when she was a young child, Camille is not lady-like and graceful like her mother. Most days she is rather brash and impatient, often acting like a spoiled child. When Camille doesn't get what she wants she breaks down, trying emotionally lasso whoever is in her way. If that tactic doesn't work she is known to throw full blown tantrums, throwing valuables, ripping up personal items, and burning belongings.

She keeps her mouth shut in the company of the vile people, but is known to spread rumors and gossip frequently . Camille is vain, often taking hours to prepare herself for a relaxed day around the house. Her love for fashion is vast and she spends a lot of her time with the designers in their quarters.

Camille's parents were well-to-do people of old money. Her father worked an investment job out of respect for his own father and Camille's mother was a talented socialite. Neither of which actually needed to work, considering the money that they had inherited, but the two wanted to keep up appearances. Before the war Camille was brought unjust so; she attended boarding schools, banquets, tea parties, and any other proper events that a girl might attend. Her world was small and made of fine china and delicate conversation and phony friendships.
Camille was separated from her parents after the war, seeing as she developed powers and her parents remained dormant. She would have been happy just living the Assembly Towers, having the luxury of those powers but keeping in contact with her parents. However, after the High King showed interest in her powers and personally promoted her to a Senator her vision got hazy. Soon she was constantly daydreaming of Marcello and becoming something attached to him, despite his marriage to Katelyn.
Eventually their affair came to light and Camille's feelings for the High King grew stronger. You could say that she fell in love with him, but really she was obsessed with his power and brilliance. Now she's determined to make herself the High Queen, feeling a deep hatred for the perfect blonde because of the real love that she has with Marcello.
