"In all my years, I have only ever seen demons drown or fall to the blade. No other weapon or hazard has seemed to kill them. The bow has come close, but at the ranges it is used, hitting the heart or the head is a challenge." Veris said. He knew he was right. Demons were not only persistent, but also durable. They seemed to be made for war, for destruction. That was not something that Veris liked all that much.
After another hour of riding, the two arrived at a small town in the bottom of the elven empire. Veris hid the slikers quickly while the residents seemed to pick up on the need and wiped the tracks up the path a small ways.
Once in a large tree, Veris dismounted the sliker and tied it to the holding post. He then began to walk up a spiral staircase in the corner of the room.
After another hour of riding, the two arrived at a small town in the bottom of the elven empire. Veris hid the slikers quickly while the residents seemed to pick up on the need and wiped the tracks up the path a small ways.
Once in a large tree, Veris dismounted the sliker and tied it to the holding post. He then began to walk up a spiral staircase in the corner of the room.
"well we will never know if that bomb killed some then" he said and followed Veris. As they tied their Slikers to an holding post and went upstairs Grimlock studied the architecture as they went through the tree "very interesting, elves are a bit like dwarves, they use this tree for the building as the dwarves use the mountains as their homes and buildings" he said and keep going after Veris "so now we are here we are here what is the plan? rest her for a few hours or restock and go again?" Grimlock asked
"The elves are different from dwarves. They do not carve their homes out of ancient rock, but instead out of the very trees that they grow themselves. All elven land was at the time they acquired it, either grasslands or wastelands. They have such knowledge of the world of plants and soil, they can turn sand into the most fertile of lands. If a farmer gets a elf to work for them, the elf is rarely actually farming.
As for what we will do, we will stay two nights. The reason is we want the demons to be right on our trail. They will be causous until they find a fresh trail, something that is less than half a day old. By blowing out the bridge, you gave us more time to get materials to travel with." Veris said in reply.

"great then I can at least get some good sleep and re-build my bomb" he said and stretch "and that is what I just said, dwarves out of mountains and elves out of trees both things of nature and time to grow" Grimlock said and pull off his gloves
"The difference is that the elves grow their homes. Your kind look for mountains that would suit you. While both are patient, the meaning is that the elves bring life to wherever they travel, where as dwarves simply live bellow, bringing up massive amounts of ore and stone to trade." Veris said.

Elves and some humans passed in and out of it at a fairly constant rate. It had many ornate carvings all around it, and what looked to be scent vines growing about it.

Grimlock nodded and look around in amazement "this place is wonderful" he said and smiled but that smile quickly disappeared and his facial expression turned into a worried one "how bad can demons be?" he asked Veris clearly with worry in his voice
"Burn down forests just for fun. Clear out dwarven mountains for breeding grounds. Hunt humans as a sport. Battle orcs to prove themselves. Torture just to torture. Kill in horrifying ways to watch the rest of the group react. They destroy only to destroy. Such is the demons, as they have always been. They were created by the negative energy that built up after the Walkers created too many worlds with not enough time for the Entirety to recover. They then created a realm to isolate the demons, who destroyed it long ago. With the discovery of how to travel through the realms, burning the negative energies created from destruction and creation, they excaped and destroyed their world. Now the Walkers have no way of containing the plague." Veris said in response, walking towards the Xan.
"that is just sad and very bad, is there really nothing we can do to stop them from reaching towns like these, there has to be something right?" Grimlock asked worried, there were the underground rail road stations of the dwarfs they were fast, effecient, and most of all safe
"No. The only way is to let them take the towns, prove a threat to the others of this realm. But we want them where they cannot spread too fast. If they took a dwarven town, they may never be removable from this realm. They must be trapped to the surface, and weakened before the main dwarven forces react. The orcs are our best hope for keeping them at bay, and in turn keeping them weak. Then we may be able to save the realm from the demons, but for now they are too strong for us to even think of killing them." Veris responded.
"well they will an we can be fast on our destination if we want to with the dwarven rail road, saftest rail you will ever find" he sai an smiled knowing not even a single dust piece got in with out notice
"If we go on the rails, the demons will follow. They will then take them over and they will be able to spread throughout the entire realm in moments with the ultimate amount of secrecy. That is not something that we want. It also happens to be the best place in the realm to start forming hives in. Plus, it will not give us time to wear down the forces of the demons. Why do you think that are path does not go deep into any empire. To fight them off, we need angry, energetic, and ready warriors. We can only get that if we bring the demons along a path through everyone." Veris said.
Grimlock nodded "yeah that is true, if we want to win we need to do that the only risk is with the dwarven empire then since most towns are in mounted or just at the gates, so we are risking a lot then"
"That is why we are bringing the demons to the dwarven kingdom last. By then, they should be worn out enough that the dwarves can repel them long enough for the other races to attack from the rear. We will be able to acquire different mounts when we get to the mountains. After we do that, we should have some dwarves ride these slikers just faster than the demons movements. This will give us time to go and gather the other races while the demons hold the line. All of them will be more than ready to help us out once that happens. Or so I hope." Veris said to Grimlock.
"the dwarven army is always ready to attack or defend, so the dwarven army is last then so where are we heading after this town?" grimlock asked
"We are going to cut across the elven lands, heading for the eastern human empire. They will likely not welcome either of us, so don't expect to be going into any towns in that side of the world. They are generally best to be avoided when you don't have a contact within their society. They can be a picky sort over there. So, I would suggest that you get any meat you are going to eat before we enter the Xan. They tend to not eat a lot of meat in these lands, so they don't carry it in taverns and restaurants." Veris said.
"ah don't worry about me all I need now is a warm and comfy bed cause I can use the sleep and dwarfs don't only run on meat, we need our vegies too" Grimlock said and jawned clearly needing sleep
"All you're going to get once we go inside the Xip is veggies. Very few elves are not vegetarian. You should take good note of that fact when you stay in elven territory, or you may find yourself displeased with the meals that you are given, and/or paid for." Veris spoke with only truth.
Leaving Grimlock to his own doings, Veris walked over to the Xip, and took a seat at the bar. "Purple Iaa and a sleepy onion, please." Veris said to the man at the counter.
It took a little over a minute for the food to arrive. The glass of Purple Iaa smelled strongly of the local cash crop, Iaa grapes. They were the best in all Alira for wine. On the plate sat a green shell that had four leaves to it. They were easily pulled apart to reveal the strands of onion wrapped around a caramelized apple with twelve evenly spaced huckleberries spread about the base of the apple. The insides of the leaves were coated in the golden juices from the cooked apple. Veris took only a moment to take in the visual beauty of the food before eating it very politely.
Leaving Grimlock to his own doings, Veris walked over to the Xip, and took a seat at the bar. "Purple Iaa and a sleepy onion, please." Veris said to the man at the counter.

"okay i will remember, we do have two days anyway" grimlock said and went to the closest inn to get a be an get some long awaited sleep, once he got a room he drop on the bed "finally a nice, soft bed" he said and fell asleep quickly after having checked his clock
Satisfied with his meal, Veris made his way to the room he rented. Just like everything in elven towns, the halls to the rooms were ornately carved out. Some of the carvings were of great elven heroes, some of which Veris knew personally. The rest of the carvings appeared to be family members of the owner of the Xip.
The door to the room was made from carvings of three or four different woods, giving it a distinct and intended pattern. Twisting the handle, Veris entered the room. Inside was a long, but thin, bed who's frame was done in the same style as the door. Across from the bed was a small dresser. Opposite the door was a window of about average size, with close-able curtains. There was also a waste dump that had a door to it.

Grimlock woke up from his sleep and checked his clock again "well slept for 10 hours straight, that is good" he said and sit up "well better follow up Veris advice and get some meat stocked up" he said and went outside "after that find him again"
Veris was already out and about. The market was bustling even at this time of day. He walked through the various stalls, taking tme to look at all the products. His interest was in the fruits of the elves, picked everyday and growing just as fast.
Veris was standing at one particular stand, looking at large bundles of berries, talking to the stall keeper about fuit juices and wines. Every now and again, Veris would grab a berry and eat it to taste it.

Grimlock was walking as well over the market buying food and supplies for the trip to come when he spotted veris, he took his time to get to him or get closer if he move to another stand, once he reached Veris Grimlock hold his arm "well finally reached you" he said while carrying all his bought goods
As Grimlock spoke, he nearly got hit in the face by a fist surrounded in a black and purple mist. As Veris drew back, he said "It is not the best idea to touch me when I am not expecting it. It could end very badly for the both of us."
He was wearing his normal cloak with the hood only slightly on his head, allowing his face to be identified from the proper angles beside him. He had a small bag of many berries and other fruits that aren't very common outside of elven lands. Guessing by how fast Veris had been going and how full the bag was, one might think that he had been up and around for a good while.

"well I will remember that" he said and blow a bit of the mist away "so what have you been doing?" he said as he closed his jacket a bit
"Getting foods that I can't get anywhere else. Among all the realms, elves have some of the best food, in my opinion. Although, orcs can make some mean meals when given a whole deer. However, you can only get some fruits that the elves have from the elves, so I like to take advantage of the times." Veris said.
