CHRISTOPHER PARKINGS

Christopher stood there, arguing with a man behind a table in a HazMat outfit, face mask, yellow jumpsuit, the works. "Im sorry sir our Helicopter Pilot had an accident, his arrival will be delayed, but defini-" Christopher cut him off, "Look over there." He said, pointing at the group of survivors he had yet to say more than hello to.

"Those people are suffering right now, I've seen people who JUST got here being flown out just today. We've been here for a day now." Christopher said tensely. He worried about those people, all of them seemed either melancholy or shy. "Sir we will use force to physically remove you if you do not calm down." The man said in a harsh, cold voice.

Christopher walked over and leaned on a wall, he looked over at the many tents, and medkits. He then looked over at a chainlink fence that got his attention, it made the most noise.
There were atleast 20 Walkers pushing and growling on the fence. The fence held but... He heard a chain or two snapping every 30 minutes or so.

Christopher put a hand on his face, and sighed in dissapointment.

Aislin stood, frozen, staring at the chainlink face. She instinctively felt for the knife at her side. Only when her fingers circled the handle did she feel at all calm. She scanned the area and noticed a man arguing with the plastic man. Ais rolled her eyes, shaking her head. If you knew anything about this outbreak, you would get out of the goddamn way, and grab a weapon instead of a plastic suit. She thought to herself.

Bold, and slightly insane, she made her way towards the fence. She paced the metal barrier and observed the areas where it was no longer holding. Aislin stared at one of the mutants in the eyes, swinging her knife back and forth in front of its eyes.
No response. For fuck's sake.

"Listen, sir." She growled, her Irish descent obvious, spinning around and heading towards the man in the HazMat. Once she reached the table, she grabbed her knife and planted it a few inches away from is hand, standing straight up. "You may think that because you're in that goddamn suit you're protected from them." Aislin pointed vaguely towards the group of walkers behind you. "That may be so, to a certain extent. But I am in perfect competency. And I guarantee you, that... Thing-" She gestured to his gear, "will not protect you from me." Aislin retrieved her knife and crossed her arms, firmly holding her gaze. The man looked stunned, but only for a moment. He mumbled a few words into his walkie-talkie, and within a few moments to men dressed the same entered the area. They headed towards her and she backed up, holding her knife in front of her.

"You're a threat to the security of this area, and you shall be removed." The man informed her. Aislin crouched slightly, prepared to defend herself.

"Don't. Fucking. Touch me."

Dutch was observing some of the walkers at the fence, baiting them to see if they would react to anything. He was stabbing into the eyes of those that stuck their heads too close to the fence with his combat knife. He killed three but there were still more coming from out yonder to join the horde. It was useless to try to thin out this pack. He noticed others arguing with one of the workers so he walked over to see what the deal was. A young man, most likely in his twenties, seemed angry about not leaving soon enough. He was complaining about others being able to leave right away while he remained at the base.

"Remember that some of those who left were not in the situation that you are in. Many families had children and there were elderly too. I would suggest not to be to haste with this sort of thing, just be patient." He told the man. He overheard the increasing commotion that woman was creating. Feeling the grip of his .22 Revolver he was tensing a bit. She had a knife, she was angry, and people tended not to think when they were pissed.

When some guards came over to try to "remove her" he drew his pistol. He had it in his right hand with his left hand over the hammer, ready to cock it multiple times to deal out all of the shots in a few seconds. It held only six bullets so the problem to the gun would be if more came on their way, that was if they chose to get violent. "Now listen y'all! If you put a hand on her than I can good enough call you dead. Leaving her out there alone is the same as killing her and you know this. Besides you know that if she was going to do something she would have done it by now. I served in Vietnam in the past so take my solemn oath that if she tries anything again I will shoot her myself. Take it or leave it." He told them his a grave face.

The guards backed backed away but stayed in the room. They knew that if the old man was a real threat than he would have killed them on the spot. Though he did not they found it better to still keep an eye on things. "Keep working on patching up your pilot, there's no rush." Dutch told the man at the deskwhile he holstered his gun. Dutch turned to the woman who had started it all. "This is not the right time to be swinging you knife everywhere like it is the most powerful thing in the world now is it little missy?"

Everything seemed to be happening so fast. First she was prepared to fight for her safety with two men advancing, then in the next moment a voice roared from behind her; causing the men to reconsider their actions. Aislin turned towards the voice, taking a deep breath as she prepared for whoever it was had come to her aid. Her eyes immediately locked on the man's Revolver, and she sheathed her blade, smiling sheepishly.

"Oi, I suppose when yer' throwin' that thing around I do look a bit foolish." Her mood seem to change dramatically in a few moments. She regained her composure and released a hearty chuckle. Aislin's accent was strong, but not enough for a high chance of misinterpretation. She studied the man before her, assessing him by his appearance. His multicolored beard reminded her of her grandfather, and she couldn't resist smiling. She felt calm around this man, he seemed trustworthy to her. Her people-assessing skills had yet to fail her, so she decided to trust them now.

"My name's Aislin. I appreciate yer' help with that bit back there," her head nodded behind her towards the men, "-that could have gotten messy quite fast. I promise you, I'm not usually such a ball o' rage as that. It's just I've been 'ere fer' too long and that cage isn't going to 'old those beasties out fer' much longer." She sighed, shaking her head. What a wonderful first impression you've created for yourself, Aislin. Out of the corner of her eye she noticed a man approaching with a brown jacket and bag at his side. Her initial reaction marked him as a threat, but she sternly suppressed that thought and gave him the benefit of the doubt. She looked back up at the older man, her eyes shifting often to see if anyone else were to challenge her. She only really paid attention to the man with his head in his hands against the wall, and the man who had just entered the area.

"Now what may I call you?"

CHRISTOPHER PARKINGS
Christopher ignored the older man, who talked to him, and began handing out things. He was more worried about the fence, by the hour that just went by the large, 15 foot long, 7 foot tall fence was nearly halfway open, the EVAC men did little to fix up the fence or kill the undead.

Chris sat down in a fold up chair infront of the fence and did a little target practice, he pulled out a 6 shot Revolver and managed two shots before someone walked over and took his gun from him. He didn't bother arguing, but paid close attention to wear the gun was put.

He walked over to the other survivors, "Excuse me, everyone." He said aloud, and it went quiet besides the commotion 30 feet away caused by the HazMats.
"We need to start thinking for ourselves people. We've been here nearly a day and a half. Do you all think this pilot is still even alive?!" He didn't give them a chance to answer.

He sighed "We can't wait any longer, by tomorrow I can assure you, that fence will not be there. Anyone have any... ideas? Speak up, we need a plan. My names Christopher by the way."

Aislin smiled warmly at Dutch, nodding her head gratefully. She took the vitamin and popped it inter her mouth, using her saliva as the carrier into her throat. Her eyes looked over the area again, making brief eye contact with a girl with short hair carrying a blue bandana. Her brow furrowed, but she shrugged it off. The girl seemed to be making a serious effort to remain isolated from the rest of the group, so Aislin decided to leave her alone.

"Yer' so kind ta' me. It gives me hope in the world we live in today, eh? In return I offer you..." She released her arm from one of the straps of her pack, swinging it around to her hands. She unfastened the top and peered into it, rummaging for a few moments before retrieving a syringe with a stopper over the needle, holding a good 50mL of a clear fluid. Stickers with hastily etched cursive covered it, with a few symbols that the common-man wouldn't comprehend. Smiling, she nodded and held it out to him.

"Adrenaline. Before this shit 'appened, I earned my Bachelor's in BioChem. I was studyin' my lab when-well, it doesn't matter. I grabbed as many supplies 'as I could." Aislin paused for a moment, seemingly lost in a thought before she blinked back up to him. "If someone's goin' under due to that nasty fever, a shot o' this straight ta' their might just save their life. I can't guarantee it, but it's possible." She placed it in his palm, and closed his fingers over it.

"Save it fer' a rainy day, eh?" In secret, Aislin only had a few of those on her. She would always but others before herself however, and this man seemed good at heart. Her face brightened when she looked back up at him, nodding once.

Suddenly another man spoke. She turned towards him, throwing her arm through the strap of her pack again.
"I agree." Aislin took a step towards Christopher, her hands firmly gripping the straps of her bag.
"I'd rather take my chances out there," She nodded at the area of infected, "Than sit here and wait to be slaughtered."

Troy sat on a crate by one of the tents. Constantly fiddling with his father's trench knife. He flipped it about, unafraid of missing it and it cutting him in anyway. He would also stab it, in to the crate or into the dirt, thinking of the monsters when doing it. Troy spun the blade into the ground catching it and then spinning it again. He created a small circular trench by repeatedly performing this action. Troy became hopelessly bored and the wailing of the monsters from behind the fence did little to change it. In fact it just made him more anxious to do something, how long do they expect them to wait? Troy was never a patient man, hell the patience he's showing now is unlike him. It wasn't for the man arguing with the suits then he would have done it himself.

The guy wasn't the only one givin'em hell. A young woman decided to enter the fray and boy the fire. She even pulled an knife on them. While it didn't change their minds it made Troy laugh, it's something he would have done himself. They decided to gang up on the girl only to be called off by an elderly man. Troy supposes he ain't that old but certainly more older than any of the people here. Troy couldn't help but eavesdrop and noticed the woman is in fact another Irish native! What a funny coincidence. Troy thought he be the only Irishman here. From what Troy could gather her accent was quite strong, suggesting she must have just left Ireland not too long ago. Definitely not as long as Troy. While he was born in Ireland and did spent most of his childhood there, he did move to America when he was about become a teenager. All the reason so his father could avoid having him be involved in the IRA. Every time he thought of his father he looked at his knife. Troy sighed as he sheathed the knife. He supposes he should be thankful, his father didn't have to live to see this.

In his restlessness, Troy stood up and walked around the camp. He walked about rather imposingly, warning that if any of these eejits want to try that shit with him, they'll get their own. From what Troy could tell from this group of people they're tough and rowdy. Qualities now, that are looking pretty good unlike before the outbreak. Troy wondered how much longer they'll have to wait. His walk brought him to one of the gates where a Walker was staring him down. "Who are you, gawkin' at huh?" Troy aggressively spoke. The Walker replied with some grunts. "Wha'?" "Yer gonna 'ave to speak up more." Troy tauntingly placed his ear near the fence. This served to rile up the Walker. Troy placed his head away and unsheathed his knife. "Oh! You want some of me?" Troy spoke as he stabbed the creature in the face. The knife dugged deep enough to kill the beast as Troy pulled out the knife and the body fell. "That'll teach ya not to mess wit me." Troy said as he cleaned his knife.

Sam stared at the fence along with the majority of the other survivors. Personally, he was surprised the gate was still standing. The memory of wrestling the one that bit Cane off of him was still fresh in his mind and didn't sit too well. The man had been almost half his size, yet it took almost everything to tear him from Cane's arm. Just before they arrived and the military guys bashed in the man's head. So much for trying to save his ass... And there was more than one on the fence. Tense was an understatement if trying to describe himself at the moment.

And the fact that everyone around seemed to be flashing weapons around at everything and anything every chance they had. It was pretty obvious everyone should have some kind of firearm or weapon, else they probably wouldn't be here in the first place. Yet, it would be alot easier to bear if they weren't pointing them at humans and turned them on the geeks tearing at the fence. It seemed like the guy in the lawn chair had the right idea until the suits took his gun. And was that other guy...drunk?

Sam nudged his bag with his foot and kicked at the latex gloves hanging out the side. The gloves were always the first things he grabbed when responding to a call. Earlier they had kept the gunk and crap spewing from the man in the back of their Ambulance from getting all over his hands. Cane never believed in wearing them, they always hung out of......

The man in the lawn chair walked over and spoke to a few of them talking of a way to get out of here. Sam barely heard him as he knelt and grabbed the gloves from the bag. They were Cane's gloves, and this was his bag. And that meant.....

...Anyone have any... ideas? Speak up, we need a plan...

Just then a helicopter all but fell out of the sky and startled the rest of them as Sam's hand closed around the metal in the bag.

"I do." He said to the man as he pulled out the spare keys to their Ambulance Cane always kept in his kit. Sam gestured toward the ambulance behind them. "It'll be a bit cramped and there's gunk and crap on the floor, but there's rails and shelves to hold onto and has plenty of gas still. This was our first call today. Plus it's an F-350. More than enough to get through the fence.

CHRISTOPHER PARKINGS

Christopher stared at the body of the Pilot. He took off his sunglasses just to make sure that actually happened. He thought to himself "The last fucking pilot for the next week..."

He glared at the rest of the Survivors, "We should've left earlier before-(he pointed at the fence, which now had atleast 40-50 Walkers pushing it)- THAT happened." He put his shades back on, and smirked for a second, smirking sarcastically of course.

"Pack up everything you all have, this shit is just getting worse." Chris nodded at Sam in an approval.

Kate sat on a sand bag, she had been sitting behind the small table the evac people had set up to organize those few who where left, so far the man in the Hazmat suit had done nothing but make those in the makeshift camp mad. Matthew Hendricks, the man who had saved her skin at the hopsital was a few feet away pacing back and forth, his jeans where still stained with blood, some of it she was sure was that of his daughter. Her own appearence was not much better, but that did not matter, they were alive. That mattered.

"Matt stop pacing, you need to rest" She said looking up from her hands, the tall man kept walking, "We need to get out of here, hell we should have long since gotten out of here" he replied. He stopped walking and looked over at the chain link fence that was doing little to keep out the growing crowd of Walkers. Kate followed his gaze, then the sound of loud talking coming from another group across the camp got her attention, "Wonder what is going on with them?" she muttered, Matt frowned, "I don't know but its about time we figure something out, we will be safer in numbers anyway," he started to walk away towards the group. Kate just stayed seated watching him walk away, the faint sound of a helicoptor aproaching reached her ears over the sounds of the Walkers moans, Kate looked to the sky trying to see where the thing was coming from, she saw it off in the distance and smiled, rescue was here. But the smile didn't last, the helicoptor was flying crazy, she stood up, eyes still watching the bird as it fell to the ground and slid with a metallic screach.

At the sight of the pilot Kate grabbed her backpack and started running towards him, upon reaching where the man fell she quickly stepped back, her jaw dropped as she saw the extent of his injuries. The head Hazmat suit man slowly walked over, his mask prevented her from seeing his face, "He was the pilot coming to pick you all up, there won't be another pilot coming to this EVAC for another week."

Matt walked up behind her, "If thats the last pilot for a week what the hell are we to do?" his angery was obvious in his voice, his right hand drifted to the pistol at his waist, part of him wanted to shoot the dumb bastard right then, "Pack up everything you all have, this shit is just getting worse." Matt looked at the man standing across from the pilots body, he glanced at the ambulance that had been mentioned a few moments before before looking back at Chris. "Driving out of here is do-able," he said moving his hand from his gun, "Ya'll got room for two more? Might be better to stay together in the long run"

After Troy sheathed the knife he heard the man that argued with the suits, asked if anyone has a plan. Sure, Troy had a plan, but one that didn't include avoiding the monsters. Troy would rather be gung-ho and take as many of 'em as one can to escape. Seeing their work on the outside, well even if they all have a fighting spirit they would end up getting munched on. That was when another young guy came forth with a bag and mentioned he can take us in the Ambulance. Troy looked over to see the one that came in from earlier. This guy must be one of them medics or something. Troy made his way toward the group but stopped short on the sound of a helicopter. Troy quickly spun around to see what could have been their salvation, turned out to be another nightmare.

In came the copter like a bat out of hell and it crashed into the EVAC center. "Of all the fuckin' things!" Troy shouts as he watched the crash. Then was followed by a what looked like half a man, stumbling out and dying. "Shit!" Troy shouted again and walked up to the group. As he walked up two more people appeared, a man and a woman. It seems they want to catch the next bus out of here. If the the ambulance was their best shot out of here, then Troy is sure as hell he wants to go. "Wha' in the hell is goin' on 'ere!?" Troy shouted making his presence known. As he heard the others speaking of how much room they could hold, Troy didn't want to miss his spot. "Oi! I'll be takin' that one way trip outta 'ere too!" Troy boisterously called out after Aislin spoke. "I ain't goin' to be these fuckers next meal!" Troy spoke as he gave them a look of determination. He isn't going to be left behind, he's going whether they like it or not.

"He's drunk...at least I hope..." Sam thought as the man who had been antagonizing the geeks along the fence strolled over and started shouting at them. His accent was pretty strong but he made his intention pretty clear. As did the other girl with the eye makeup and slightly easier accent next to the older gent. The other woman seemed a bit older than himself, as well as the man with her. They looked oddly familiar, like he'd seen them somewhere before. Maybe the hospital during one of his runs?

"It's fine, It's fine." Sam said. By his count, that was seven people, eight if the girl nearby with the blue bandana around her wrist came as well. "It will be a bit cramped, but the bed was taken out when we got here so there's room. He took up Cane's kit again and strode to the back of the ambulance and opened the doors. His kit lay on the floor to the right, where he left it. He placed Cane's bag on top of his. "Someone can sit on that, nothing inside will break." There was also a long bench on the right side that could sit three comfortably, four in this case, with a cargo net lining the wall behind the passenger seat to hold onto. A large cabinet was built into the bench where various supplies were kept. More cabinets scaled the wall to the right side as well as another seat where a technician such as himself, or paramedic would sit to tend to the patient.

Sam reached up into the cabinets on the left and pulled two plastic morgue drapes free to lay down over the coagulated blood and muck left behind from the animated man. It was too apparent on the large space in the absence of the stretcher that normally occupied it. "That should do it. Anybody else?" He turned back to Christopher. "I'll drive, I take it you're up front with me?"

CHRISTOPHER PARKINGS

Christopher looked at everyone, sighing. He was thinking what he should do. These people looked pretty desperate in his eyes, but he needed to think about himself as well. He stepped forward to the group, "Look, I don't know you people." He stated, "But I can see you all are desperate for some help. I know this city like the back of my hand, hell, I drew half of it." It was true, although he was exaggerating. He only actually worked as an Architect for 3 years. "Goddamnit, Im not sure if that van will fit all of us, but if we squeeze together...maybe."

"Ah, what the hell, lets go. Let me grab that gun that jackass took from me." Christopher walked over to a table and took it out of a plastic bag. He hadn't paid any attention to the Walkers for the past hour and he didn't want to.

Red Flowers

No pilot and now some sort of "team" was forming to leave this place. Admittedly, Red wanted to leave as soon as possible. The prospect of waiting another week and trusting that the fence would hold made no sense. But these people, ugh.

With a sigh, just as the group was getting ready to smoosh into the van, Red started advancing to the so-called leader. At least, it was obvious he felt that way about the group as he had been spokesperson and all talkie talkie. She didn't like his sunglasses much, shielding his eyes from everyone's view, like he was hiding something. She had little choice however. Staying here wasn't an option.

Before she could even reach the van, a loud clanging crash alerted her to just how "not-an-option" saying was. Immediately she kicked into gear, swerving around the horde and trying to reach the others who were closer. Dammit, if she died here? What a disappointment that be. She trained harder like an Olympic runner. Like hell was she allowing herself to become some monster's meal.

Judging from the unexpected speed of them though, she wasn't sure she was going to make it. Panic flickered into her eyes, sights set on the van.

The blue bandanna was held tight in her right fist.

Two of them managed to get in front of her, skin dangling off their faces and arms reaching forward to give their twisted version of a hug. Red let out a tiny growl of frustration, having to turn away from the van to avoid them. By then, more were blocking her path. She didn't have a weapon. She didn't even know how to use a weapon!

CHRISTOPHER PARKINGS

Christopher had just picked up his gun and began walking toward the van. A girl he hadm't notice ran up next to him. He was about to say something to her, until CRASH. The only thing keeping them safe gave way. As the last few bolts holding that fence up beamed off a horde of 50 so Walkers screeched and ran forward. The EVAC center was in the Parking Lot of a Mall, so its not surprising how many Walkers showed up.

He noticed everyone stood shocked staring at the horde heading for them. The Van was only 40 so- feet away if they all ran they could make it,
if only the van wasn't on the same side as the horde.
"SHIT, RUN!" Christopher said, as each survivor got a fair amount of Walkers surrounding them. "Nevermind, don't run!" He said frantically. "Pull out any weapon you have!" He then turned seeing the girl (Red Flowers) he was standing next to before, get surrounded.

He noticed she wasn't equipped with any sort of weapon. Quickly, he pulled out his Revolver and shot each one that was around her. He then turned around, only to get grabbed by the 3 or 4 Walkers that had been surrounding him. He lunged away in the opposite direction, but they wouldn't let go.
He dropped his Revolver, it slid 5 or 6 feet infront of him. He tried to reach out and grab it but fell over with the Walkers still on him.

"Ah, FUCK, someone, help!"

When the walkers came slowly from the fence in the large horde, Dutch grabbed his pistol in his right hand and his combat knife in his left. He hated using his revolver unless it was totally necessary. He was moving off to the side a bit as to draw less attention to himself, though it seemed perhaps he should have because they tried to attack a woman. Fortunately that angry fellow from before intervened before she was bit but unfortunately for him the walkers swarmed him. That was an excellent time to use his gun. Dutch unloaded his six shots to kill three of the four's eyes but pistol whipped the fourth one in the temple. He put away his knife and took out some bullets from his left pocket to reload his gun. Seven seconds later he was finished.

"Everybody! Gather to us and make a triangle formation! women to the back, men to the front!" He yelled to the others. This way they could cut their way through the walker to the van with ease. The guns would be enough to take out the ones that stood in their way. "The name's Dutch. I would suggest picking up your gun because you and I are going to lead the formation." He told the man whom he had recently assisted.

Sam didn't have any other belongings besides the kit and everything in the Ambulance and was still fairly close to it when the gate came crashing down. Most of the others had been trapped on the other side of the fence and where the geeks were flooding in. He decided to get to the van before too many were on him when a firm grip grabbed a hold of his clothing and pulled him off balance. As he twisted and pulled against the grip, he heard a rough accent yelling at him. Troy finally let go of him and kept yelling at Sam to come on or give him the keys. "Just get in the damn van already!" Sam yelled back.

Sam jumped in the driver's seat and started the Ambulance as Troy kept his guttural yelling. "Shut up already!" He snapped. There was no way Sam was just going to floor it and take off without the others, but there was a horde of geeks and a gate in his way. "Ah Fuck it!" Sam put the pedal to the floor and shifted the gear to drive. The van stuttered a second as it crashed over the fence and the few geeks clawing behind it. They bumped and banged over undead bodies as Sam tried to avoid hitting too many at once.

He drove past the survivors to allow them access to the back of the van and stopped as close as he could to them without hitting anyone. He left the Ambulance running and opened the doors to the back. "Hurry up! Get in!" He yelled over the sounds of destruction.

Red Flowers

Several things happened at once, but Red didn't process them until later. All that mattered was reaching that ambulance. The man who had shot down the zombies around her was helped by an older gentleman and she followed the older one's instructions to follow. In no time, he had taken hold of the woman's hand and leaped into the ambulance and stumbled nearly to the front of the vehicle. The driver there looked hurried and panicked.

Twisting about, Red saw more nearly to the ambulance. She didn't know these people, she owed them nothing. Except that man who helped her, the one with the sunglasses unfortunately. Rushing forward, she two stretched out her hand, urging them to hurry up onto the ambulance. "Don't got all day!" she called, eyebrows furrowed, waving the last few forward. The two other women who had safely reached the van seemed just as eager to get everyone on board, but not as impatient. Red nearly growled and shouted, "C'mon!"
