Introduction
Briella walked down the hallway of Titan Academy. She grimaced at the knowledge she'd be stuck there for another semester. Orientation was in a week, and she loathed the thought. But she had no choice; her father donated funds to the school, and because he didn't wish to look bad, she was forced to attend. Of course it has nothing to do with him wanting to get rid of me, she thought to herself with a smirk. He had said something about this being a year to remember... but what could he mean by that?
Plot Summary
It is obvious that only a select group of students attend the Titan Academy Boarding School. What do they have in common? They are all gods and goddesses...well, in the making. Each student has their own unique power that they are individually becoming more skilled in. As the year progresses, and each student becomes stronger and stronger in their gifting, as does the lust for power grow in the teachers and board members. Little do the seniors at Titan Academy know what is in store for them at the end of the year.

"Attention, attention, everyone!" she said into the mike, smiling politely and nodding her head in greeting. "I'd like to welcome everybody to Titan Academy. I am Principal Metis. Thank you for coming to our orientation! I am eager to spend another year with all of your children. I'd like to explain what we are about and..."
Brielle had started to ignore what the Metis was saying. With the principal continuing to talk about how excited she was about this semester, and some rules and guidelines, blah blah blah, Brielle was leaned against a wall in the back. She was wearing the typical uniform: a gold, white and black plaid skirt, with a yellowish gold polo with "Titan Academy" threaded in white just below the shoulder. She paired it all with an old pair of black converse sneakers. In the rule book, they never specified footwear, so everyone simply expressed themselves through shoes. How funny, she thought to herself with an inwardly amused smile.
She snapped back to reality when Principal Metis said, "Now, students, you may collect your schedules from the white tables over there along the wall," she used a hand to gesture toward them. "Parents, you are permitted to stay until approximately 5:00 p.m. I am looking forward to the first day of school, tomorrow, and I hope you are too! Now, everyone, feel free to go to your rooms and get comfortable! Have a fantastic first night, and get some rest." She ended, and stepped down from the podium.
Brielle rolled her eyes about the parents being able to stay. Her father never came, and her mother wasn't alive to. She casually walked a few steps over to one of the tables, conveniently having stood by it the whole meeting, and collected her schedule. She was told that she would be rooming with another girl named Juliana... Hmmm, hope she's not a psycho... she thought. She then set off for room 102, luggage in hand.

He headed for his schedule and frowned when he looked at it, "Ah, man... There's not even co-ed dorms! What a sausage-fest."
Henry, meanwhile, stood in the corner, playing his lyre, mostly tuning out everyone. There wasn't much he needed to do. His parents already left and the line for the class schedules was huge. He'd wait a while before getting his. He flashed a charming grin at a few girls passing by, causing them to giggle. Yep, he could get used to this school. All it needs for it to be perfect is an ocean beach.

She turned around, glad she was one of the first to grab her schedule. The line was getting pretty long. Everyone looked so much in unison, with their color coordinated uniforms. It kind of made her sick the first year, but over time she's learned to accept it. She over heard the complaints about not having co-ed dorms, their classes not what they expected and having to room with their worst enemy. It brought a smile to her face. She didn't have to worry too much about enemies. She didn't even have to worry about friends. She didn't have any. Only associates. She was always too busy with her head in the nearest book.
She grabbed a hold of her things, pulling them along her side as she made her way to the girls dorm rooms. Looking down at the paper to see the small print of her room number. 102. First floor, how wonderful. she thought to herself. It meant no stairs. Getting closer to her room, she saw a young girl with dark hair nearing to the same door she was walking towards. She forced a smile, becoming timid. She wanted to bite her tongue, but she didn't want to come off as a silent, non speaking freak. The thought made her laugh softly to herself, as she neared the girl.
"Hey!" she called out, setting her bags near the door. "I'm Juliana. I see we're room mates for the year." she said, holding out her hand.
Using her other hand, she brushed the strands of brown hair out of her face, her hazel eyes gleaming towards the girl.

When it was time to grab their schedules she was one of the first in line and one of the first to get her timetable and dorm assignment. Azure was disappointed to see that her application for a single dorm had been rejected and that she had been put with some girl named Diana. The blunette wasn't too fond of plain names but she didn't have the right to judge. She tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear and looked at her room assignment. 105. It added up ti six which was one part of her favourite number so it would do even if she didn't like it too much. Azure was never one to complain; she always did spend most of her time near the pool anyway.
So she hoisted her backpack onto her shoulder and grabbed the other two bags with right hand and dragged her suitcase behind her with her left. With no parents there she got no help and she didn't really mind; her parents were busy and that was something she could understand. The hallways weren't too packed which was what she liked about the school which meant that she could get where she was going faster without having bumped into anyone or anything; and finally made her way to the girl's dorm.
The blunette stopped before her door trying to ignore the two girls by room 102 across the hall. She didn't know them and they didn't need to know her so all she had to do was hurry into her room and get her stuff unpacked so she could get down to the pool as soon as possible. The key didn't seem to want to cooperate so Azure dropped the two bags in her right hand to work the key better and finally through a stroke of luck got the door to open. She quickly slipped inside after she grabbed her bags and instantly claimed the bed on the right side of the room. "Okay, now to deal with Diana," she muttered as she dropped her bags onto her bed.

*Now, time to make my plans.* Arthur thought, sitting down at his desk and opening his day-planner. For the next ten minutes Arthur wrote down in exact detail what he would be doing for the next weeks including time in class, time allotted for homework, scheduled eating times, sleeping time, free time, and time to make new acquaintances. After completing his schedule Arthur realized that he had not fully considered the most efficient use of time between classes and how long it would take to walk from class to class, *I could be wasting nearly twenty minutes a day, how wasteful!* he thought and immediately hopped up and checked his schedule for today *OK, if I skip over memorizing the schools emergency procedures and reduce my time reading Tesla's biography to one hour I should be able to map out the school in its entirety and be able to devote ten minutes per day to the code memorization for the next three weeks and I'll be back on track, less than ideal but better than nothing.*
Arthur quickly changed out of his school uniform and into his favorite three-piece suit, black with white stitching and an understated gray shirt, before neatly folding his uniform and placing it in his laundry basket. As he stepped out of his room and locked it behind him, Arthur checked his pocket-watch and scanned the small map of the school he had received, comparing it to his classes and their times. Content that his schedule would be righted soon enough, Arthur began heading towards his first classroom after noting his starting time so he could get a baseline time for travel from room to class.

As the speech ended, Rosemary grabbed her beaded boho bag and the rest of her rucksacks. She didn't exactly have normal luggage...just and assortment of brightly colored and patterned bags. She began to wonder aimlessly out of the gym with all of the students, until she remembered she should probably find out where she was going first.
Room 107...with a girl named Rozalyn. Roz-uh-lin? Rose-uh-lin? If it's Rose-uh-lin we can be the two roses. Roses are so beautiful. But not as beautiful as peonies. Well, I guess they're both nice in their own way. But neither compares to lilies!, Rosemary thought to herself. Like usual, she was going off on a tangent--even in her own private thoughts--and wasn't paying attention. She looked up at the numbers on her door, and saw she was standing by room 109. As she turned around she saw a beautiful blonde girl standing outside of room 107.
That must be Roz-a-lin/Rose-a-lin!, thought Rosemary, as she stared at Rozalyn in a dippy way.

Jonathan sat with the other teachers, listening to Principal Metis's welcoming speech. Although he'd only been teaching here for 7 very long years he could recite it all, along with all of the other teachers...and the students...and the lunch ladies...and the janitors. Really, this lady needed a new speech.
Afterwards, as he left the gym to go to his office, he spotted spotted Mz. Elene, the school nurse, whom he secretly had a crush on. She was such an enigma, but what he did know was so quirky and unique...and she was just so cute! Alright, Jonathan. Just because you work in a high school doesn't mean you have the time for high school crushes, he chided to himself. After all, he had a deep passion for history, and felt it a personal mission to TRY and give these kids something to walk away from school with. He continued down the hallway to his classroom to prepare for his first lesson plan.

Zeke was one fo the first in line to grab his schedule, a convenient thing they had been seated nearest the door. Opening the packet he rummaged out his dorm assignment. Room 218 with some kid named Adam Leonard. He'd met him once or twice in previous years. Kind of weird. More on the gothic side. Zeke being the all around jock didn't seem to role in the same circles as him. Guess that was going to change this year.
Speaking of change... Zeke let out a low whistle to himself as he caught a pair of fresh legs walking past. Seems some of the girls did some maturing over the summer. Hell, this was going to be a good year!
Grabbing his suitcase he exited the gym and headed for his dorm room ready to unpack, change into some shorts, and his the outdoor basketball court before it got dark.

With a smile, she bounced gracefully to her class room in the English building. Classroom E12, which was very close to the entrance. Tardy students usually claimed they couldn't spot the big bold black letters, but truth was, they weren't looking forward to essays and analysis of short stories. Turning the doorknob, she placed the door stopper at the bottom of the door, so the door was wide open and the inside of the classroom was visible to all. Walking to her whiteboard, she grabbed a blue marker popping the cap off and beginning to write her well known welcome. "Welcome to English & Literature: Enlighten your mind :) This is Ms. Jason's class, and if my name is NOT on your schedule, please feel free to leave. Unless you enjoy extra homework". The smell of the dry erase maker filled the room, as she pressed hard to make it dark enough for the students in the back to see. With that written, she took a seat at her desk, beginning to staple a few syllabus' together, awaiting to see who would be in her class this semester.. What a joy. She has been teaching here for the past 6 years, and she was quite sure this year would be the year she was sure to never forget. For one or two reasons. Maybe more.

Adam would've been content to wait until most everyone else had gotten their schedules before even bothering to move. In fact, that's what he would have loved to do. His mother, however, had a different idea. She got up and practically dragged his to the nearest table, unfortunately not having to wait for long. His mother handed him the packet and waited expectantly for him to open it. He sighed and opened the thing, pulling out his room assignment, knowing that's what she really wanted to know. He frowned deeply when he saw it, Zeke Tanner. His mother looked at him, a worried expression on her face as she took the paper from him. She looked from the paper to her son several times, expecting an explanation, she didn't get one. Instead, Adam grabbed his bags and set off for room 218.
In all honesty, Zeke was the last person Adam would have wanted to share a room with. He knew exactly who the guy was, it would have had to be his first year at school if he didn't. He sighed as he passed some students, him mother insisting that he try to not hit them. She was ruining what could have been a very easy day.
Once the three of them made it to the door, his mother unlocked and opened the door, quickly claiming the left side of the room for her boy. Adam groaned, sure that he was the only senior who's parents stayed until the last possible second, as his mother grabbed one of his bags and started to unpack for him. Chattering excitedly about how great of a year it was going to be and blah, blah, blah. He honestly wished someone would just shoot him, get it over with. Instead he ended up helping his mom unpack.

Just because he knew his roommate would be walking through the door soon, he picked up his schedual and looked at the name of his roommate. Jackson Hanley. He chuckled at that too, Jack and James. Someone who planned this had a sense of humor it seemed. He prayed the guy was someone who enjoyed a nice smoke occasionally, or at least didn't mind when he did. The was one of the main things he was looking forward to in collage; being able to light one up without having a pair of glares shot at you by the people you lived with. It just got old.
He sighed, and went back to reading. He could wonder and hope what he wanted, but he wouldn't know shit until he met the guy.

Sighing some and palming his hips, Jackson peered at the walls and windows that surrounded him, seeing he had made his way into an adjacent corridor. Perhaps now would be a good time to see exactly who he was rooming with, much less where. Peering down at the slip of paper, he perked an eyebrow as a snort eased past his lips. James and Jack? Apparently someone in the higher ups had quite a sense of humor. And, turns out his room wasn't that far off. Sweet. Walking down the hallway, a whistle of a tune long forgotten eased past his lips. Really, who remembered the theme to The Velvatine Rabbit? It was quite amusing. Spotting the door that read 365 in bold, shined brass letters, Jackson grinned and cleared his throat before tapping his knuckles on the door.
"Avon calling!"

In the chaos that had soon ensued in the hallways, Diana had somehow gotten turned around, loosing all of the time she had gained leaving the assembly early. Though Di was an excellent marksmen and fantastic archer, she had no sense of direction. When it came to aim and release, it came naturally. But, as far as directions and hallways and buildings were concerned? She was a lost cause. Eventually, though, she located her room. Reaching for the doorknob, the key needed to open the door clutched in her palm and ready, she wiggled it a bit only to notice her room mate had arrived before she had. It was slightly frustrating, being late, but Diana figured the sooner the formalities were out of the way, the sooner she could change into her hunting gear and get down to the archery range.
Opening the door slowly, Diana's shimmering blue eyes inspecting the small space, she immediately noticed the exotic beauty that stood across the way. Smiling softly, seeing that she had no choice but to take the bed located to the left, Diana set her things down against the mattress, running her fingers through her waves of blond before offering her slender, pale hand to the girl that stood before her. "You must be Azure. I'm Diana. It's a pleasure."

Her heart was beating rather quickly as it always did when she was around strangers. Azure was just never a people person and growing up her blue hair had caused her problems; especially since she had tanned skin. The girl's entire look was off; blue hair, green eyes and tan skin had never set in well when she was a kid. Her mother nor her father owned any of the traits but her skin colour. It was no wonder she was completely anti-social and stayed in the pool half of the time; it helped her avoid people.
Nervously she tucked a strand of said blue hair behind her ear and sent a smile towards her roommate. "I've never seen you around before. What do you plan to do when you get out of here?" she asked as she again went back to putting her stuff away. She had to keep busy or she'd have a nervous breakdown and burst from the room to get to the pool. That was what she was planning to do if she had time before classes and always when she had time after classes. Azure tucked some of her shirts into a drawer and slid it shut before returning to her suitcase and opening it up. "I'm sorry if I'm bad at this 'conversation' thing. I'm not really good at it." She paused and looked over at her roommate; a pile of swimsuits in her hands. "I don't get much practice." Azure could already feel that she was making a fool of herself.

"I'm going to go see my sister," Henry announced as he stood up and headed for the door, "She's been going her for awhile before our parents decided to send me."
"Is she hott?" Joseph asked him with a grin, earning a dark look from Henry. He held up his hands, "Alright, alright. I'll chase after the other girls."
With that said, they both went their separate ways, Henry for his sister's room, and Joseph to find a rec room or something to do. It was still too early to goto bed.

As the speech was ending, Rozalyn's father got a call from work saying that he needed to go in. Her mom and dad said their goodbyes as the walked away. Finally they're gone, she mentally said as she was texting and walking to her new room. She didn't read the roommates name, she just needed to get to her room and actually talk to her friends. Strolling up to room 109, she stopped and continued to text to her friends that she was not going to go after a random boy this year. Her jungle of luggage were leaning up against the wall. After pressing send, she whipped her head and saw a blond, earthly girl staring at her. Roommate? She reread the paper for the girl's name.

Bouncing the ball as he walked down the hall he passed a few students. He recognized a few of them and smiled, but he wasn't in an overly social mood, so he put in his earbuds and turned his ipod on.
The air outside was still warm, not yet fading into the harsh winter that was sure to come. The outdoor basketball court was between to the archery range and the lacrosse field in the back of the school. It seemed everyone was still obsessing over meeting roomates and unnpacking because the sports fields were completely empty. Turning his music up louder, he began practicing his free-throw shooting.

Adam shook his head and shrugged, muttering a, "Why bother? He already knows my name." His mother shook her head and sighed, knowing it was useless to try and argue with her son, he wasn't one to change his thought or points-or-view just because someone else disagreed with him. He also wasn't one to be nice to someone...Well, ever. He was just in a permanent bad mood. So his mother continued to unpack for him, he was expected to put a few things away and confirm where he wanted things. In all honesty, he would've just shoved his bags under the bed and left them at that, but his mother just had to make sure everything was perfect for her son. Adam couldn't wait for her to leave.
After all the unpacking was down, Adam's mother turned to him, smiled and excitedly exclaimed, "Okay, now come on! Let's go see where all your classes are!"
Adam rolled his eyes, "Mother. Don't you think I can handle finding all my classes? I have been going here for what? Three years now? I'm not gonna get lost or anything."
His mother frowned and crossed her arms, "Oh, no. This is not optional, mister! You and I are going to spend time together until I am told I have to leave. Understand?" She didn't wait for him to answer, instead she just dragged him out of the room. It was a good thing Adam didn't place much importance on how cool he looked, or he probably would have died right then.

"Oh, wow! Hi! You're so lovely!," Rosemary said as she walked towards Rozalyn. She threw her arms around her and gave her a huge embrace. She felt the pretty girl pull back in her arms, so she let go. Of course, Rosemary being Rosemary, she just kept on smiling. Nothing fazed her.
Rosemary turned towards the door and unlocked it. She walked to the bed closest to the window, so the sunshine could wake her up every morning. She unpacked her 6 plants, and bohemian casual clothing and unpacked. She also set up her bed with several Indian-beaded style pillows.
Rosemary turned to see her room-mate sitting on her bed and just staring at her. She wasn't sure why, but Rosemary seemed to get that look quite a bit.

Pausing, she had realized she probably seemed rude not saying anything. Finally, she hurriedly took the girl's hand and shook it before dropping it once more. Her lips rifted and she managed to say, "Uh, nice to meet you. I'm Briella. And I guess we are." she said, scratching the back of her neck before unlocking the room's door and opening it for the other young girl. "Home sweet home..." she breathed sarcastically, looking around. There were two beds, one on either side of the room, and a window and small dresser with a lamp in the center. There were also two uniform desks, nothing special but they would get the job done. There was a small closet with a wide dresser for their clothes, along with some empty hangers. Luckily, this room had it's own bathroom, with a small shower and a toilet and sink with a cabinet mirror.
"I'll take this one," she said, dropping her bag on the bed farthest from the bathroom.

"So.. this your first year here or.. you've been here before?" she said, scooting back and leaning against the bed frame. "If this isn't your first year, I'm sorry for not recognizing you before." she shrugged, "I guess I don't socialize much.." she said lowly, almost sadly.
She looked away, leaning over to go through her bags and unpack a few of her things. Mostly trinkets that she collected, to decorate her small nightstand by her bed against the wall. She remained quiet, waiting for a reply.

*Remember, making friends is a good thing and don't expect them to schedule like you, be relaxed.* Arthur struggled to relax his shoulders and walk in a more 'casual' manner as he worked his way through the school, though his hands unconsciously moved constantly over his suit and hair checking to make sure that nothing had moved out of place.
