The Personality

♨♨♨❀♨♨♨

Positive Traits
♨Loyal | Once one becomes friends with Alfred, it is quite hard to make him distrust you. He often stands by his friends, even if he knows that their decisions may be wrong, he will support you.
♨Friendly | Because he is so kind, Alfred attracts various people and is able to befriend them all, no matter gender, race or past.
♨Quick Learner | Alfred is a very quick learner. It doesn't take him long to memorize something or learn of a quirk or habit one of his friends does or have.
♨Thoughtful | Alfred, while not the sharpest tool in the shed of human emotions, is quite thoughtful and will put others before him, even if he may not gladly do so.

Negative Traits
♨Low Self-Esteem and Confidence | Alfred has very low confidence and self-esteem. While he does value himself and know that people love him, Alfred is always desperately trying to improve himself- whether it be through 'dieting' and exercise, or trying to make himself a better person by down grading himself as less important than others. Because of this, Alfred often refrains on what he thinks and simply goes in silence even if he is in pain.
♨Oblivious | Alfred is oblivious to human emotion and surroundings.
♨Easily Depressed | Despite Alfred acting happy most of the time, he easily gets depressed over simple things. This in turn, damages his self esteem even more which makes him desperately want to improve even more.
♨Over Working | He is not afraid of over-exerting himself and will often catch himself doing it and more than not, he will continue to do this. For some odd reason, Alfred has this image he can never attain stuck in his head; something only he thinks will be reached if he works hard and this work is often resulting him doing more damage than good.

Talents and Skills
♨Cooking | Alfred is a genuine cook. He is able to make anything tasty out of almost nothing.
♨Swimming | Despite his dislike of water, Alfred can swim like a fish; his specialty is underwater swimming as he is not only quick, but can hold his breath surprisingly well.
♨Eating | Alfred will always be up for trying new things- especially food. He will try new food willingly and with the most pleasure and curiosity his body can bring forth.

Weaknesses
♨Criticisms about his weight or looks | Because Alfred is so meticulous about these things, he will take each comment as a criticism and try to improve to his best ability.
♨Thunderstorms | Even the slightly sound of thunder or a singular flash of lightening, Alfred will be on edge and nervous; if the storms are horrid, he may even go into a panic attack.
♨Sex | Sex of any kind makes Alfred queasy, causing him shake or cry. Even flirtation or touching makes him extremely uncomfortable and makes him feel nauseous. Although, talking of a friend's sex life or sex in general doesn't have much affect on Alfred.

♨Being touched (excessively)

The Appearance

Hair Color
Blond

Eye Color
Blue

Tattoos | Markings
Al has no tattoos as of date, but is wanting to get one done relatively soon. | Alfred has a small but gruesome scar on the left side of his hip.

Height
5 feet 7 inches

Brief Appearance Description
Alfred isn't fit, muscular or even slim. He is a slightly chubby boy whose muscles don't show and who jiggles more than he'd like to admit to. While he is chubby, he isn't exactly considered fat and his stomach doesn't hang over his belt nor does it even protrude outwards much, though it does appear that he has a rather plush stomach. Al's arms are muscle than fat, but they appear fluffy more than muscular due to how his body is proportioned. While Al is a bit chubby, his face is rather girlish and cute; he's got a somewhat slim facial shape with bright blue eyes that are complimented with long eyelashes and a small button nose. Due to Alfred's generally girly face, he is often mistaken for a girl or a young boy because of how young he appears to be. Because Alfred tries his best to look his best, he often wears shirts and pants that compliment his odd figure, though it won't be odd to see him wearing a sweater twice his size in some fitted jeans or a plain suit and tie.

Reason for Getting Here
Due to the events that occurred a year or so ago, Al's mother is worried and spoke to the school which also thought it was a wonderful idea to send Al here so that he would be able to see the different paths he could potentially take in life; he was also sent here so that he could observe how other students who also had a rough time are able to move on with their lives for the better and to help speed up his recovery.

Family Description
Al has an overall healthy relationship with his mother and deceased father. In fact, he is much closer to his mother than any other family member at the moment, while he was close to his father as a child and his father's death hit him hard. His step father and him, on the other hand, are no where near in any kind of family relationship; while Al cannot seem to hate him, he definitely is frightened of him as well as resentful towards him.

Brief Bio
Alfred was born to loving parents who where financially supported; he was a planned child and his parents had been married since they where 18 and still madly in love with each other. Al was closer to his father, a high school teacher that would visit him during school and spend time with Al during his lunch breaks. While he was the only child and spent some of the time alone at the house, Alfred was very happy and could never ask for more.

His mother worked at her family's bakery and would bring home sweets or baked goods she spent the day cooking; if no one ate her food, she'd become troublesome and complain. Al, being the child he was and wanting to please his parents, would indulge in such sweets and meals to silence his mother and make her happy. While he was always a chubby child, Al never seemed to mind because he had two loving parents who enjoyed the way he was and never wanted him to change.

During the time Al was twelve, his world turned upside down when his father was hit and killed by a semi driver who had fallen asleep at the wheel. Him and his mother where devastated, both emotionally and financially. His father was no longer there to take him to school, nor was he present to even care for Alfred when his mother was at the bakery. Because of this, Al's mother fell into a desperate and panicky depression; she felt as though she was a horrible mother and was unfit to care for a child alone.

This idea of being unfit for her own son caused his mother to remarry quickly, to a man who was a regular customer at the bakery, William. Will was very friendly and nice, especially to Al; while Alfred was still depressed about his father, Will always seemed to cheer him up with gifts and games. Will would spend the day with Al to try and get him to stop crying. For a brief moment, Al was very happy.

When Alfred was fourteen, Will made his first pass on Al; it started with sneaking into his room at night to sleep with him and ended up escalating to feeling around and before Al knew it, he was a rape victim to the man who had been his step father for a year now. Afraid to tell his mother and overall confused on what had happened, Al stayed quiet and dreaded the night.

This continued for a year before Al began to get so afraid, he'd go into panic attacks, as Will would become more rougher and much more frightening. He began to verbally and physically abuse Al, not only during the night but also in the day; he did it so often that it made Al feel insecure about his entire being and before anyone really noticed anything, Al stopped eating and coming home. He couldn't stand being inside that house and desperately wanted help but was much too insecure to tell his mother or anyone for that matter.

It didn't take long before Al's mother began to notice things- Al sleeping over friends' houses of which she never met or even heard of, the way he avoided contact all together, the bruises he blamed on his own clumsiness, the way his cheekbones began to become more prominent and the way he acted around Will. Even when she confronted Al about all of this, he denied it in fear.

It was Al's sixteenth birthday that she took Will and him out to celebrate his birthday; tired of Al denying a lot of things, she confronted him and Will at the same time, thinking that perhaps Will had something to do with this drastic change. Will denied it but Al stayed silent, avoiding eye contact. This was when suspicion rose in his mother, making her become uncomfortable around Will.

This did not please Will at all and made him furious. Later that week, he quietly tip toed his way to Al's room once more, but this time, Al did not come out with only bruises but suffered a grisly gash above his hip from a Swiss Blade. Al, bleeding from the hip screamed loudly and began to thrash around, sending him into an intense panic attack that practically knocked him unconscious.

When Alfred awoken, he was met with his grieving mother and the police who were trying to understand her words between her sobs. Even without knowing what was going on for sure, Al knew the gist of what had happened- Will was arrested and he was safe from any future abuse. He was released from the hospital and him and his mother moved away from the town.

Alfred needed this move and when they settled down in their new house, he began to eat again and even if it was only a little, his mother happy. Al's mother soon opened up a small store that sold baked goods and prepackaged items; while it wasn't exactly what she wanted, she was happy. Alfred helped her out there, taking a short pause on school.

When he was able to attend school, his mother had realized the total extent of the damage Will had on him. Alfred, while he made friends, was incredibly awkward around them and began to have panic attacks whenever someone touched him. He began to take extra care of himself and started to focus on his looks excessively; even when Al began to eat more, he always watched his weight and tried to exercise- although it did little change due to him starving himself from before. She was even contacted by the school for his worrisome behaviors and habits; worried, his mother and the school decided it might be best to send him to the summer program in hopes of accelerating his recovery and open up new doors for Al.

β€œAl, it isn’t good for your body to be jogging like that and it isn’t safe for you to run at night without anyone knowing.” The nurse tapped her fingers and glared at Alfred through her wire framed glasses. Alfred innocently smiled at her, holding a glass of orange juice. It was his sixth time in the nurse’s office and she was beginning on what Al thought was her fifth speech on health to him.

He felt bad for her, he really did but old habits where often hard to break- especially the habits that tend to be destructive. Even though Alfred has been here since the beginning like everyone else, he has gone practically invisible as he had been staying in the nurse’s office. This was all because Alfred had been sneaking out quite early from his cabin and began to take up the activity of jogging at night until the sun rose again; not only did he feel sick after nights like the last, but he would be in so much pain that he was unable to participate in any of the activities with the rest of the group.

Alfred suddenly considered himself lucky that he was caught last night before he was able to do any intense damage to himself like he had done before; he was rounded up in the nurse’s office with snacks and the nurse watched him the entire night. Of course he felt pangs of guilt in his stomach but he couldn’t help it. It was something he had done beforehand to escape Will’s terrors and it was a nightmare Al couldn’t seem to escape. He was afraid of sleeping at night, especially with a boy he didn’t know and who seemed like the type of person that wouldn’t hesitate to bully around someone.

Ah, he was making assumptions again. Al shook his head lightly, mentally scolding himself for making such assumptions on someone he didn’t know; the boy could be nice and friendly. Once again, Al wouldn’t know as he had never even spoken to the boy, let alone met him. Their relationship only escalated to a single look when Al had first moved into their room and that was it as Al had done everything in his power to avoid being alone with the boy. While everyone had already found their group of friends, Al was either in his group of depressed girls or vacating the nurse’s corridors.

He thought over the reaction his poor mother would make if she had known that Al wasn’t even trying to improve and slightly cringed at the look she’d give him. The pangs of guilt that gathered in his stomach increased and made him feel nauseous; he began to desperately want out of this small room and into the wide open campsite. Al looked over at the nurse who was still lecturing before placing his orange juice down on the table next to them and smiled widely.

β€œI apologize for my irresponsible actions,” Al began. The nurse became silent and crossed her arms over her chest to watch him. It was the first time Al had apologized for his actions instead of him apologizing for himself being there which caught the nurse’s attention quite quickly. β€œI just realized that what I am doing probably won’t help me out much and I just really want to say I’m sorry. From now on, I will try to improve myself.” He looked at her as she nodded, obviously thinking that her lectures had finally struck a chord with him. After twenty minutes of talking, the nurse dismissed him for the upcoming activity; Al carried a small box of animal cracker and made his way towards where the group activities were being held.

When he arrived to the bulletin, the teacher had already begun to assign groups and he was handed a piece of paper which Al immediately looked at, seeing that it was a bunch of riddles. Al sat in silence until his name was called to be put in a group with other peers; while he normally didn’t have problems with making friends, Al felt a bit nervous as he didn’t even know the names of the group he was put in. Nonetheless, Al walked over towards the already forming group, not missing any of the actions that were already taking place.

"Hey, Team Lynda! Over here!" Al’s eyes followed everyone else’s as they stared at Lynda. Al’s attention on her didn’t last long as another person had begun to already call his team.
β€œOy! Last team called over here!” Without much choice, Alfred walked towards the people who where crowding around the boy that had imitated the girl in calling her team together. When Al got to the area where the team was, a tall blonde haired girl popped up with a smile plastered to her face.

”Well hi there fellow team members, I’m Alex – if you had already forgotten my splendid introduction earlier. So am I the only one that’s not looking forward to this because well… I suck at riddles. So I was thinking maybe we could team up with another team? What about Lynda’s team? She’s pretty nice and well I’ve been talking to Kojou too a bit and he’s not that bad either. Hey, Lynda, what do you say about teaming up so we can get this done with as fast as possible? The faster we are done the sooner we can just play around outside this freaking campground! Come on, you know you and your team want to say yes!”

Blown away at how fast this girl could talk, Alfred stayed quiet as Lynda agreed to join their teams happily. These two girls made Al look at them with a small smile; they where bubbly and happy which was something Alfred envied a little bit. After making a small mental note of improving himself in that specific area, Alfred turned to the team and smiled childishly.

β€œI’m sorry I didn’t introduce myself before. My name is Alfred.” He said simply, thinking it might be a good idea to introduce himself to the group as he hadn’t before. Al held the box of animal crackers out to the group. β€œIf you guys liked, you can have some animal crackers.” He smiled at his offering, hoping that they didn’t find his belated introduction rude of any sort.

Fay
Fay followed Lynda to the bulletin board. She stayed a few feet away from her as she listened to Karuko speak. She held her wrist behind herself as she waited for him to finish speaking. Why do we need our phones? I don’t use my phone very much…maybe the others will just use their phones and I won’t have to use mine. She grabbed the piece of paper. Fay wondered what could be on it, but decided to wait for him to explain even if she was natural about surprises. Oh, I forgot this was a group task, but I am not surprised. We get to leave the campground? It sounds nice that we can leave, but only two hours? I don’t want to be doing this task the whole time I am off of this campground though.

Slowly she opened the papers and quickly read it over. No idea. Maybe that answer is an elevator? A tree. No idea. No idea. No idea. No idea. No idea. No idea. No idea. She stop her thoughts and tried not to think about the riddles as Karuko spoke once more. Wait, why are we in groups if the groups can work together? This makes no sense. When he mentioned the groups she only took note of the names of the people in her group. She kept a blank expression when she heard Adelaide was in her group. Fay decided not to think about that, as it would make her feel not so great. She didn’t even hear Karuko speak again.

Her eyes wandered over to Lynda when she heard her speak. Lynda was one of her teammates. Though, she stayed still and didn’t go to Lynda right away. She decided to wait for everyone else to get into his or her groups. Also, she had to keep herself calm because Addie was also in her room. Even if she hadn’t seen her yet her heartbeat rose and herself heat up. Fay was distracted from her little panic attack when she had heard someone else calling out. Something about the last team called over there. Next, she had heard the female, Alex, calling out to Lynda. Alex wants to team up her team with our team? Her idea sounds good so who cares. I like the idea of having free time while outside.

When she heard Lynda agree she slowly followed behind her. She was more than a few feet behind as people were just in her way. It annoyed her slightly, but she ignored that feeling. She just got near Lynda a few minutes after she had asked whom they were missing so she didn’t hear the question. Fay smiled at everyone and stood next to Lynda. She saw some guy she hadn’t seen before holding out animal crackers.

β€œHello everyone, I am Fay. I am glad I have the pleasure of working with all of you. Also, I believe the answer to the second and third question on this piece of paper is an elevator and a tree respectfully,” she stated. She gave everyone another smile before she folded the piece of paper into her pocket with her phone. Everyone didn't need to have their sheet out, one paper pre group would have been efficient.

Shorty after his new 'teacher' signed him out of the officer's custody Tatsuo allowed the blue haired man to lead him back the same way he had come, stopping at a billboard on the main pathway. As they arrived Tatsuo saw a quite large group of kids in the area and more coming. At the teacher's mention of needing phones Tatsuo tensed but immediately shrugged it off. Other people will have phones, right? I have nothing to worry about.' With a roll of his eyes at his own foolishness Tatsuo looked over the paper handed to him as the teacher began explaining the activity. Seeing the riddles he sighed but then shrugged. "Hey, at least it could be worse. I could be stuck in an actual school." He muttered, smirking as he did so. As the blue haired guy finally finished talking, Tatsuo remembered him saying his name but couldn't seem to remember it..., Tatsuo heard one of the people in his team call for their group to gather. For a moment, Tatsuo hesitated, wondering if he should tell someone that he didn't have his phone but he decided not to and slowly wandered over in the direction of the call. Stopping near the others in his group Tatsuo folded up the paper and slipped it into his back pocket before stepping up next to a brown-haired girl he assumed was Lynda. "Alright, I'm here. So... who're we missing?" Wrapping his arm around her shoulders Tatsuo looked around the group as he spoke in answer to her question. "Yo. I guess I'm in your group." Tatsuo said as he reached forward and grabbed a animal cracker from the offered box. "Thanks Al. Oh, and I agree with the elevator part."

"Sure, sounds like fun! Ya got a deal!"

Alex did a small dance of victory on the inside while the outside just continued to grin towards the others. But that Lynda had accepted the offer felt like a good thing. Alex was looking forward to meeting all the new people, not only on her team now but also those on Lynda's. Perhaps there would be a lot of other fun figures? There seemed to be quite a bunch of different people around. When she was in the mood for it she felt rather exited for all the company she could get. She wanted to meet everyone, talk with everyone. So when people gathered around and started to introduce themselves with their name to give people a hint Alex felt even more exited.

There was this guy she wasn't sure if she had seen at the introduction earlier who addressed himself as Alfred, the name didn't say her anything. But it was not like she was surprised, she had a tendency to forget things pretty fast, Alex had the memory of a goldfish. Then there was Fay, she remembered her because of that weird girl from earlier that had been talking about them sharing rooms. And another new face Alex couldn't decide if she had seen earlier or not. And he never said what his name was so Alex wasn't sure who he was. But he was apparently in Lynda's group since he was getting touchy with her? Should Alex interpret that other's also was interested in her? Probably not the same way Alex was but anyway, Alex didn't like competition because she knew she had no chance against guys. Even if she wasn't interested in Lynda on an emotional level.

"So if the second and the third question are supposed to be a tree and an elevator, where's the place they're supposed to be at? The first riddle describes the place, or so it says at least, I think? Maybe I have understood it all wrong," Alex shrugged and looked down at her paper again, trying to solve anything of it but she still didn't get any of it. "But since some of the riddles is described as an place, that must mean that there is only one or a few of those around the city, right? If it isn't like that it wouldn't have a description under it, wouldn't it? Or yeah... That's just my thought of it all I guess? I don't really know."

O-Ren tried, mentally, prepare herself for this oncoming group activity. So far her need to interact with others was at a minimum. But she just received instructions to an activity that required her to participate with a full group.

I just hope the others in the group don't hate me. Immediately, at least. O-Ren looked at the paper of instructions, she was given. There was a list of the people in her group she had written down.

Aki, Alex, Renji, Alfred and Yasu.

She asked for what at least one of the members of her group looked like. It would be unfortunate to not have an idea of the identity of her group and resort to asking around what people's names were and if they knew who the names belonged to. She didn't get much but she was told what Alex looked like. This person would be the easiest to find according to the description O-Ren was given.

"Find one, then find them all." At least that's what the girl hopped as she looked around for Alex. There were many people walking around, probably doing the same thing O-Ren was doing herself. Eventually, O-Ren's eyes finally found someone fitting Alex's description. Blonde hair and she definitely had a unique fashion sense compared to the others at the camp. O-Ren let out a breath and gathered her thoughts so she wouldn't fumble over her words when she talked. Especially, since it seemed the majority of the group was already assembled. The girl quickly walked over to her group mate and held up the paper to Alex, while pointing at the list of names.

"I suspect you are the Alex that is part of this group of names? I'm O-Ren. That's the letter 'O', a dash, then the word 'Ren'. How far have you gotten to solving these riddles so far?" O-Ren hadn't looked at the riddles much yet. She had prioritized finding the group first and wanted to do it without the distraction of trying to find out what the riddles were in the back of her head. The rest of the group seemed very unique in terms of looks as well but didn't seem as approachable to O-Ren. Going by looks only the guy with glasses and blonde hair looked nice enough. Alex would normally be intimidating as well but she had an aura that made her seem nice enough. She couldn't say much about the others. O-Ren shook herself from her thoughts to focus on what Alex's reply was.

The first person to approach him after his half hearted declaration attempting to gather his team was the same blond girl he’d noticed heading towards the cabins earlier. This time, however, she seemed to be in a much better mood, smiling and grinning as she introduced herself. Wasting no time after her introduction, Alex, as she called herself, called over to the Lynda girl for their teams to join up. A small smile played on his lips as he opted to remain at the sidelines as multiple others appeared, introducing themselves in a variety of ways. He simply observed them and how they seemed to respond and communicate. It was amusing to him to say the least. One boy even offered them animal crackers, with was perfectly fine, but it was a most unexpected greeting. Still, the one that caught his attention more so than the others was, ironically, the guy who failed to mention his name. He definitely seemed like an interesting one, and he’d even beaten him to throwing a casual arm around the Lynda girl.

Alex spoke up about the riddles, reminding him that that Fay girl’d made known she knew two of the answers already. He smiled. Watching them figure them out seemed like it’d be entertaining after all. He was about to give his insight on the next riddle that Alex mentioned when yet another person joined their group. For some reason he thought she seemed a bit darker than the rest of the group, but he was fine with that. Her introduction seemed a bit strange, and he wasn’t sure whether he liked it or not, but shrugged. It didn’t matter either way.

He took it upon himself to step in and answer her question, however. β€œYeah, she’s the one alright, and we’ve just started the riddles, so no worries. Two and three done are known by the beautiful redhead,” he grinned, giving a small, but highly exaggerated flourish of a bow towards Fay, β€œand I think Alex is on the right track for the next one.” He unconsciously leaned an arm on the blonde’s shoulder, ignoring his paper and looking at hers instead.

β€œβ€¦I’m Renji, by the way. Ren works as well,” he added as somewhat of an afterthought. Of course, he already knew the answer to the first riddle. At least he thought he knew, and he was pretty sure he was right, as he was usually good at riddles and puzzle games.

"I suspect you are the Alex that is part of this group of names? I'm O-Ren. That's the letter 'O', a dash, then the word 'Ren'. How far have you gotten to solving these riddles so far?"

Alex was just about to answer the question from the girl that suddenly showed up, but she never got the chance to actually do so since Renji or Ren as he has said himself answered it for her. When thinking about it Alex realized that both of them could be called Ren, so in her head she named the girl Ren number zero and the guy Ren number one. Maybe it would made a bit more sense if she had just called Renji number one and the girl number two since she met her second but just the fact that the girl had said that her name was spelled with the letter "O" made Alex want to call her Ren number zero. Because an O looks like a zero if you want it too.

But if the girl had popped up from nowhere you could say that the arm had surely done that as well. Alex hadn't expected someone to lean onto her suddenly and to say that she was startled was probably an understatement since she tensed up as fast as it happened, looking up at Ren number one. It was not that Alex had any problem in being touched, Alex actually enjoyed it most of the time. She just didn't like it when people approached from nowhere and did things like that.

But just as soon as she had tensed up she relaxed, it was not like he had felt her up like someone else had done earlier. Thinking about it made her glare towards the person responsible for that, Aki. But who was Alex to blame him since she had plotted to assault girls herself. But perhaps not the way he had done it. Ren number zero was second after Lynda on the list of girls Alex wanted to hook up with some way or another before the summer was over. Simply because she was interesting and Alex wanted to see what reaction that would cause. Yes, Alex was aware of the fact that both of them was most likely not into girls but Alex didn't see that as a problem, at least not until they found interest in other guys because well then it was over.

"So you think I'm right? Yay!" While speaking up Alex looked up at Ren number one with a grin, she didn't have a problem with him so close anymore. She was actually starting to enjoy it quite a bit. She was starting to get into one of her more cuddly moods and if it wasn't for the fact that there was so many people around she would probably be even bolder than she was now. But hey, it was him that started it not Alex. "You saying that makes me feel all warm and bubbly on the inside. Thank you, it made me happy and I felt smart for once."

β€œHello everyone, I am Fay. I am glad I have the pleasure of working with all of you. Also, I believe the answer to the second and third question on this piece of paper is an elevator and a tree respectfully,”
Alfred looked over at Fay, a red headed girl who seemed to have a figure of a woman rather than a teenager. The woman smiled at the group before pocketing her paper, his hand still out and nearly forgetting that he had offered animal crackers until he felt the weight of someone dipping into the box. A bit startled, Alfred stiffened his arm and looked over before quickly relaxing as he remembered he was the one who offered the treat to begin with.
"Thanks Al. Oh, and I agree with the elevator part."

Al couldn’t help but to give him a friendly smile as he became happy to be thanked. Such small and petty things normally don’t make a person happy, but Alfred was always happy to be thanked by anyone. Suddenly, a memory flashed within his head of William thanking him after a night. It suddenly made him feel sick as if he wanted to vomit up all of the bad things that had to with that man. He stumbled backwards before taking a few steps forward once more, dropping the box of cookies on the ground. The sudden urge to run until the only thing Al can think of was how much pain he was in filled his entire body. Alfred dropped to the ground, feigning a cleanup.

He squatted there for a few seconds as he slowly picked the cookies up and placed them in the box, his hands shaking as he did so. The panic soon left his body and Al bolted upright, looking directly ahead of the group with a flustered face.
"So if the second and the third question are supposed to be a tree and an elevator, where's the place they're supposed to be at? The first riddle describes the place, or so it says at least, I think? Maybe I have understood it all wrong, But since some of the riddles is described as an place, that must mean that there is only one or a few of those around the city, right? If it isn't like that it wouldn't have a description under it, wouldn't it? Or yeah... That's just my thought of it all I guess? I don't really know."

The sudden voice of Alex caused Alfred to jump a little as his body became hyperaware of its surroundings. To try and cover up his odd behavior, Al opened his mouth to agree with Alex but before he could even push air from his mouth out, a girl entered the group. She was a pretty one although not as bright and joyful seeming as Alex or Lynda.
"I suspect you are the Alex that is part of this group of names? I'm O-Ren. That's the letter 'O', a dash, then the word 'Ren'. How far have you gotten to solving these riddles so far?

Alfred concluded that O-Ren was all about business. He couldn’t help but to release another one of his sheepish grin as he lowered his arm back down to his side. Perhaps the task that they were given could be solved with the help of O-Ren as she seemed understanding of the riddles. Suddenly, Alfred was reminded of the riddles and task. He looked at the piece of paper that still resided in his hand, crumbled and bent. Alfred read them through, trying to solve and pick each one- they all sounded strangely familiar but he was unable to match them.

He looked back up at the group and gave another friendly but nervous grin when another boy entered the group and leaned against Alex. As soon as Alfred noticed it, he realized that some of the group members had casually began to touch each other and that fact alone did not make Al feel calmer.
β€œβ€¦I’m Renji, by the way. Ren works as well,”
While Renji looked to be a serious giant- especially compared to Alfred- he seemed pretty easy going although it didn’t make Alfred any less tense. He hid his discomfort with another welcoming smile, trying to make another attempt to regain his composure after Alex had finished displaying her affection of being correct.

β€œI am also going to agree with Renji and Alex. I think you are on the right path when you say it’s a place. Although I have to say, these riddles seem oddly familiar to me but I don’t remember where I heard them or their answers.” Alfred chuckled a little as he looked at the group, tapping his fingers on the crumbled paper. β€œI apologize for being of no help. I even dropped the crackers.” His chubby cheeks became a cherry red as he felt embarrassment when he repeated the small and petty act. β€œI do have to say that I am quite lucky to be in a group filled with intelligent and unique people though.” With that, Alfred smiled wide at them before taking a baby step back and holding his wrists behind his back, looking around for a trashcan to dispose of the dropped cookies.

She made her way towards the group, holding onto the instructions that were given to her in the beginning. Emmaleese was running a bit late to begin with so when she arrived on the grounds, the teacher had already begun to explain things. All she could do was sit and wait until the groups called each other together. The next thing she knew was that her original group was not a part of another, forming one entire group and people started to introduce themselves and attempt to solve the riddles.

When she arrived at the group Emily gave a welcoming smile and threw her hand in the air, saluting the group in a rather friendly matter. β€œEmmaleese Wyzer reporting for duty! Oh, but you guys can call me Emily.” She sat back on her heels and leaned forward, her red hair dripping over her shoulder as she looked at the group through her eyelashes. In the beginning, Emily was quite saddened with the discovery of private showers. She would have to postpone her peeping until she was able to figure out how else to do the little matter. It was to her much dismay as well since she was determined to take a look at it considering that within all of her years of peeping, it was something Emily was unable to see.

Despite her sorrows, Emily decided that she would not allow that to draw herself back as each cabin did have their own personal showers which only made it easier to compare her lady bits to her unsuspecting roommate. Rather, she was in a much peppier mood now versus her mood in the beginning; she was convinced that no one remembered her quiet introduction in the beginning as the discovery of private showers had gotten her down in the dumps. β€œI do apologize for the late entry. I was daydreaming about a predicament and how to solve it. I would’ve been here sooner but the daydream turned into an idea I ended up having and the next thing I know, you guys are already assembled.” Emily knocked her own head with her knuckle to display its emptiness and the sincerity of her apology.

Everything Lynda heard was starting to turn into a blur. She was focusing on the sheet of paper in her hand trying to figure out these riddles. Her eyes scanned the page over and over again. And again. And again. By this point, she was concentrating hard enough that she couldn't even hear anything else anymore. Why was this so hard to figure out for her? She heard people talking about themselves or riddles around her, but she couldn't hear it if she wanted to. She was in too deep with her battle with the riddles.

Lynda's breathing became a bit shallow as her frustration and impatience grew with each passing second, each word she looked over. It looked like a jumbled mess of a puzzle she couldn't solve. She bit her lip and her hands trembled slightly.

No... it was happening. Not here... not in front of everyone. Her fear of failure could be felt deep inside of her chest, making it harder to breathe.

"Calm down Lynda... it's just riddles. Riddles. Relax... reeeelax." She tried calming herself. Nothing was working.

How embarrassing. Why did being raised in a failure free household have to cause side effects like this? What if someone noticed her freaking out over some riddles? She wouldn't be able to live that down. Fay already had a pretty good idea about some of the answers, and everyone else was getting closer to finding them. There she was, standing there, frozen, completely subdued by a sheet of paper with riddles on it.

"D-Damn it... someone's gonna notice..."

Alfred started saying something, but she only tuned into the last part.

β€œI do have to say that I am quite lucky to be in a group filled with intelligent and unique people though.”

Lynda couldn't help but smile. She felt really flattered, even if he wasn't directly talking to her. She couldn't let this get her down; something as small as a few riddles. She felt her spirit rekindle as she slowly started to take in her surroundings again.

She wouldn't fail at this task, even if she had to play team cheerleader.

Politely excusing herself from the arm wrapped around her, she noticed another person joined them.

β€œEmmaleese Wyzer reporting for duty! Oh, but you guys can call me Emily. I do apologize for the late entry. I was daydreaming about a predicament and how to solve it. I would’ve been here sooner but the daydream turned into an idea I ended up having and the next thing I know, you guys are already assembled.”

It'll be easy to tell this girl apart from the others; her hair is as red and noticeable as Fay's and she was pretty... top heavy. Lynda was glad hers weren't so big, because they would just get in the way when she fought.

Mustering up a smile, she stepped over and extended her hand out to her.

Hey Emily! Name's Lynda, and welcome to our little Riddle Detective group. We were just figuring some of them out."

~Renji~

Image

It was pretty easy to feel Alex tense as he leaned on the shoulder, but she relaxed just as quickly. Renji thought it was a strange reaction, but thought maybe he’d startled her, which made him smile as he glanced over the riddles on the page.

Yeah. Most of these seem pretty simple. I wonder how many they’ll figure out if I keep quiet..?

As Alex started to speak up again, he shifted his eyes from the paper down at her to see her grinning up at him. He automatically gave a small grin back, nodding in reply to her asking if he really thinks she’s right. It was a pleasant surprise to find that she seemed perfectly comfortable with him being this close to her upon their first meeting. His grin became full fledged and he almost couldn’t keep a laugh from escaping him at her next words. She was giving him completely unexpected responses, which made him even more curious about and interested in the blond girl. He wondered where her lines where that shouldn’t be crossed as well as what types of things annoyed her. More questions came to mind, but he figured it’d just be an entertaining experience to try and figure her out.

Again, he was cut off as he was about to say something to her, and the thought came to mind that conversation must go pretty quickly with all the people here. The guy with the crackers, Alfred, mentioned that he agreed with the two of them, proceeding to say that even though the riddles sounded familiar to him, he couldn’t recall the answers. Renji sighed, thinking that it felt like they were going from an introduction party to a let’s-all-agree-and-get-along party. Wasn’t everyone here a high schooler? So why did this whole dialogue make him feel like he was in the middle of a gathering at an elementary school? Not that it mattered. People were people, after all, and they all seemed pretty interesting in their own ways.

He offered Alfred a smile, β€œDon’t mind it,” he said to the guy’s apology. He didn't think the guy seemed too comfortable around them, but he appeared to be trying at least. Renji thought he seemed like he’d be almost too easy to mess with in the future, and was working out ways in his mind of how he could test Alfred’s social limits. He almost felt bad about it, with how Alfred expressed how he felt he was lucky to be on a team with all of them. Almost, but not quite. It was obvious to anyone that everyone here was unique, but Renji wasn’t sure he could agree that everyone here was intelligent, not that he would voice that opinion at the moment.

β€œNow-β€œ

Once more he was interrupted, which did make him feel a little bit annoyed. This time it was by a girl with a friendly look about her. Also worth noting was her attractive features in both face and figure, though one would almost immediately be drawn to the girl’s bust. Emily was her name; a somewhat common name, but one that still held a nice feel to it. He gave up on trying to say something for a moment as he moved from leaning on Alex’s shoulder (giving her hair an unconscious ruffle-another habbit) to resting both his arms behind his head in a somewhat bored fashion, noting with a smile that the beautiful and interesting Lynda calmly moved the nameless guy’s arm off of her. Maybe she would be a little more difficult to get close to.

Lynda proceeded to welcome Emily to their group which she’d labeled as the β€œRiddle Detectives.” Yeah. He definitely thought being with these guys would be interesting. Taking his chance at the small moment of silence that would follow Lynda’s welcome, Renji said in a lazily pleasant voice, β€œAnd while we figure them out, why don’t we go ahead and take a picture of the ones we already know?”

β€œSir, we’re approaching the site.”

Daisuke casually opened an eye, glancing out the window. He noticed a couple buildings before the large campsite was unveiled. He sat up sighing, slightly regretting that his nap was now over. He looked down at the letter on the seat that had been marked for a few days earlier. The outside of the letter was tainted and littered with several postmarks and stamps like a greeting card that had come from far away. If they hadn’t been on that trip to Istanbul, Daisuke would’ve been here on time. Then again, it wasn’t like he was ecstatic to be there.

He opened the additional paper that was attached to the letter and read over the rules and camp information again. It seemed easy enough. Daisuke shrugged and stuffed the letter in his pocket of his jeans for future reference. He then glanced at his watch and pulled on a thin jacket. In any minute he’d be back outside in the sun, surrounded by people. He hoped he could just blend in and not draw much attention to himself.

When the car stopped, the driver and Daisuke got out and met at the trunk. Jason, the driver, pulled the trunk open and grabbed the duffle bag. Instead of letting him carry them for him, Daisuke put the backpack on and tossed the duffle bag over his shoulder. β€œAh come on Jason. You know I like to carry my own stuff. You’re no servant.” Since Daisuke had been adopted, he wouldn’t let the help at the house do for him things he could do himself. He just didn’t like it. The workers all loved him though, and they’d try to clean his room while he was gone.

Jason smiled. β€œI know sir.” Daisuke smiled, extending his hand, and Jason shook it happily. β€œKeep yourself healthy and do well, Daisuke.” Daisuke nodded and turned to the camp. It was close to lunchtime so people were walking toward, what he guessed, was the cafeteria. Food sounded pretty good right about now, but he knew he needed to put his things away first. He strolled to the board and found the cabin assignments. He found his name next to Room 3 along with another name, Renji. So he’d have a roommate? Fun.

Daisuke looked around and saw a guy walk out of Cabin three, an interesting looing fella. His hair was orange and he had piercings and a tattoo on his face. Well at least he looked chill enough. The young man walked towards the cafeteria, and Daisuke walked to the cabin. He tossed his things next to his bed, slightly entertaining the thought of possibly getting another nap in, but his stomach growled loudly to let him know that now was the time for food. Grabbing two granola bars out his backpack and stuffing them in his pockets along with that letter, his wallet, and phone, Daisuke left the cabin and strolled to the cafeteria with his arms folded behind his head.

After getting some food from the cafeteria in his stomach, Daisuke followed the crowd to the bulletin board. He overheard that there was some sort of activity about to take place, so Daisuke took it upon himself to go ahead and just wait for the teacher with all the others. He hung back and read over the riddles on the sheet of paper he’d gotten. So this activity was some sort of teamwork exercise. He shrugged and looked at the list again.

What has branches and leaves, but no bark?

Daisuke chuckled to himself. He’d heard this one years ago when he was little. He loved riddles, because they were short simple ways to test your ability to think. So the answer to the first was library. Then stairs. Then a tree. This was really easy. If this is what this place was going to be like, Daisuke would be out of here in no time with plenty of time to sleep.

As the groups gathered, he noticed that two groups had decided to band together and were putting in their two cents. He saw the guy that was supposed to be his roommate next to a blonde girl with a seriously unique look. Figuring he could still hang back, Daisuke stepped up behind both of them and listened to the exchanges. The people seemed nice enough, and they hadn’t figured out the first riddle yet. His input might be useful.

”The first one is library, the second is probably stairs, and I think you’re right with tree being the third one. And my name’s Daisuke by the way. Looking forward to working with ya.” A slight smile accompanied his comment.

As Ren number one moved away from her shoulder's Alex folded her arms quietly listening to what the other's said. She didn't feel like she had to jump in and say something just to get their attention. Sure, Alex loved attention at sometimes but other's she preferred to stick to the background. This was such a time. Mostly because of her huge disappointment when the physical touching stopped. Her cuddly mood had been awaken and that craving was not nearly satisfied by a couple of minutes of an arm leaning on her shoulder, perhaps if it had stayed there longer she would been happy. Now she just preyed for someone that seemed available to receive it.

It was not like she cared that much for the riddles, the other's conversation about it was not exiting at all and since Alex knew she couldn't help them with those it bored her even more. Her head was already tired from trying to think something out, even if she had just thought a little tiny bit. Read what the paper had said and told the other's out loud. Sure she had gotten praised for it and she had enjoyed being praised for it, but it was not nearly as much effort as the other ones had put into it.

As she stood and watched the other's eyeing them up and down she noticed that yet another one had approached them. Hanging around in the background, she followed him with her gaze for as long as she could since he had placed herself behind her and not wanting to be too obvious that she was studying him she let it go and continued to watch those before her instead. The reason for her to stare so much was because she couldn't remember seeing his face before, sure there were a lot of people here and many of them seemed to be new, popping up from nowhere. She was still trying to figure out if she had seen him before or not when he spoke up.

”The first one is library, the second is probably stairs, and I think you’re right with tree being the third one. And my name’s Daisuke by the way. Looking forward to working with ya.”

Since he voiced his thoughts Alex took the opportunity to turn around and continue to watch him, creeping closer and leaning forward grinning, "Wow, you've already figured out the first one by yourself? That's great! I would never have understood it by myself." As she spoke she continued to creep closer, mostly because she saw her chance on getting closer to someone because the other ones in their group didn't seem that susceptible, mostly because they were women and Alex didn't feel like scaring them away from her. Then there were guys that Alex didn't feel like getting closer to since Ren number one retreated.

When she was close enough she hugged his arm, still grinning, before starting to drag him with her towards the exit of the camp grounds, "Alright then, let's head towards the library and take those photos!" It was not like she clings onto him, hugging his arm closely, so he could pull away if he wanted. She just took the opportunity to grab hold of someone without looking too suspicious.

~Renji~

Renji blinked as yet another guy appeared, and felt a little annoyed that the dude, apparently called Daisuke had given away the answers to the first few so soon. Ren had hoped to watch the group labor over them for a while before revealing the answers himself. To top things off, Alex almost immediately clung to the guy and pulled him towards the exit. Renji had finally gotten a word in, and with Daisuke's appearance it was as though he hadn't said anything at all... Maybe he should have given them the answers right off the bat instead of wanting to wait and play with them? Eh, who cares? He was more curious now, though, about both Alex and the new Daisuke.

Wait... Daisuke? He recognized the name for some reason. Had he forgotten something? He ended up shrugging it off, not seeing it as important for the time being. The guy seemed cool enough, someone Renji thought he could comfortably be around. At the same time he had a hunch it wouldn't be easy to mess with him. Something about Daisuke's easygoing attitude reminded Renji of himself, so maybe that was it. Either way, the guy interested him, so he'd keep an eye on him.

Alex he was already interested in, and with how she'd relaxed when he placed his arm around her shoulder a moment ago, her quick change to the newer guy was a little disappointing. It wasn't super obvious or anything, and maybe he was only imagining things, but still. He'd planned on seeing how close she'd let him get while they went on this little scavenger hunt. Maybe he'd pulled away too quickly in his moment of impatience? He sighed, giving a shrug before folding his arms behind his head and giving a slight but pleasant smile to the rest of the group.

"Well. If we don't wanna be left behind I guess we should follow," he said in a somewhat bored tone. He, in fact, did feel a bit bored now, the main part of his fun ruined as they now seemed to have someone besides himself that was good at riddles. He was debating on whether or not to join in the hunt or just watch, but now he his earlier interest in the little game was gone and it was just another stupid assignment again. He looked over Lynda, Emily, Al, and the rest of his teammates. At least the people were still interesting. He opted to try walking closer to one of the three named, as Emily and Lynda seemed more interesting in an outgoing sense, and as Al seemed to be more interesting in a timid but pleasant sense. Still, he kept an eye on the two in front of them.

The juice he had was approximately two-hundred and thirty calories and if he equated the amount of cookies he had, it would leave him at about three-hundred and sixty calories with forty-one grams of carbohydrates. He wasn’t exactly sure how much protein he had today but it didn’t matter as protein helped build muscles and muscles were merely bulky padding to him. Alfred’s hand went up to his chin as he began to ponder on the amount of exercise that would set him at the even score of zero, completely oblivious to the group around him.

Walking with them would probably burn about four-hundred or so calories depending on how fast they walked and for how long on what type of ground. If it were a hilly one, then he could easily add a hundred calories to that equation however, if it were flat, Alfred would only be able to leave it at four-hundred. The amount of carbohydrates he’d burn would also depend on such factors. If he could get down to an even zero, then Alfred would be able to subtract whatever calories burned from that zero and be in the negatives which implied that he would have officially burned more than he put into his body.
β€œAnd while we figure them out, why don’t we go ahead and take a picture of the ones we already know?”

Alfred’s head shot straight up, completely shaking him from his thoughts and returning him to the reality he was in. He briefly noted that another girl had joined their group and that they were beginning to become restless, wishing to start their little journey of finding the answers to the riddles. He switched his footing lightly, clasping his hands behind his back to reveal a stance many girls take. Al merely watched as the group continued to converse, waiting to start with a similar face that matched Renji’s- a bit bored and had the wish to move one.

His calm movements were suddenly pinned as the voice of another man slightly startled him, causing Alfred to quickly spin around to meet the eyes of a black haired man who lingered in the background with an intelligent yet somewhat bored smile. Alfred could feel himself growing slightly uncomfortable but it quickly ceased as Alex walked past him, going on about how smart the man was, quickly moving on to starting the mission. The group walked ahead of Alfred as he tried to calm his shaky hands that he gained from the sudden startle the newcomer, Daisuke, gave him.

Alfred shook his head lightly as he began to walk, thinking that he should improve on his people skills internally.

Hey Emily! Name's Lynda, and welcome to our little Riddle Detective group. We were just figuring some of them out." The pleasant brunette had welcomed her with such friendliness that Emily couldn’t help but smile widely at the woman, putting her thumbs up in an approving way to respond to the girl’s words.
β€œAnd while we figure them out, why don’t we go ahead and take a picture of the ones we already know?” Emily turned towards the man who was now resting his hands behind his head, a bored look spreading across his face.

She stared at him for a long while and as the sudden thought of something dirty crossed her mind, Emily’s face flushed bright red and she spun on her heels with a snicker. Her slender hands touched her mouth as she began to silently speak to herself and to physically shoo away her own thoughts only to realize that another one had joined their group.
”The first one is library, the second is probably stairs, and I think you’re right with tree being the third one. And my name’s Daisuke by the way. Looking forward to working with ya.”

Emily noted him before watching Alex as she made her way towards him, approaching him in a friendly manner. She couldn’t help but to give the two a small smile as she thought the kindness within this group was a bit too high for them to be thugs. However, Emily soon noted after this thought that not all of them were thugs more or less as them being just troubled. Taking herself for example, Emily crossed her arms underneath her chest and nodded, agreeing to her thoughts of being sent here because of her perverted tendencies. "Well. If we don't wanna be left behind I guess we should follow,"

Renji sounded unbelievably bored- which in a way, Emily couldn’t blame him. However she deemed him a bit rude for not even trying to hold it from his voice. Nonetheless she began to follow the group, a small thought popping into her mind and voicing out through her lips. β€œHey guys,” She started, clasping her hands behind her back as she sped up a little to try and keep up with them. β€œWhy don’t we just google the answers instead of trying to figure them all out? Doesn’t it seem like a hassle doing all of that work when we can just use our phones?”

Tatsuo, who had tuned out of the conversation and had been looking over in the direction of the teacher, suddenly looked back at Lynda as she pushed his arm off of her shoulders. Smiling, Tatsuo shrugged and noticed a few more people had joined the group. As his eyes stopped on the other guys in the group a strange expression crossed his face, wondering what Kat would think of them, and he made note to not let Kat meet the newest, black-haired addition to their group if she ever visited.

Finally listening to the conversation Tatsuo realized their group was moving on to... somewhere. Walking over to one of the other new members of their group Tatsuo tuned into what the red head was saying. β€œWhy don’t we just google the answers instead of trying to figure them all out? Doesn’t it seem like a hassle doing all of that work when we can just use our phones?” Reaching his arm around the new girl as he fell into step beside her Tatsuo shot her a lazy smile. "What a great idea. Anyone have a phone with access to Google?" As he spoke he looked over their group and noticed a few people had disappeared and frowned slightly before shrugging and looking over to the red head and then the guy with black hair, trying to recall their names.

"Wow, you've already figured out the first one by yourself? That's great! I would never have understood it by myself."

Wow. He’d only been there for a few moments, and someone was already complimenting him. He smiled at her noting that she was getting closer and closer to him by the second. It was slightly already expected seeing that, by the looks of it, she enjoyed being close to people. Despite this observation, it was still a bit unexpected when she took hold of his arm. It was even more sudden when she started dragging him away.

Daisuke almost protested being dragged off, but he didn’t even have time as the girl whisked him off. The unexpected pulling almost tipped him over, but he swiftly regained his balance and strode beside her, his arm still in her clutches. She certainly was stronger than she looked, but Daisuke only found that to be another rather interesting aspect of her. Thus, instead of removing his arm, he let her keep it, bending it in an almost escort-like fashion.

Looking behind him, he managed to catch what looked like a slightly annoyed expression from Renji that was quickly replaced with boredom. Daisuke figured he’d accidentally robbed Renji of his current buddy, but then again it was really the girl that did the robbing…wait…did he even know her name. Not that he thought about it, he didn’t.

β€œWhy don’t we just google the answers instead of trying to figure them all out? Doesn’t it seem like a hassle doing all of that work when we can just use our phones?”

"What a great idea. Anyone have a phone with access to Google?"

That was a pretty good suggestion. That way time wouldn’t be wasted with letting the others try to answer the riddles while he held his tongue. That also meant more time to nap. He looked back towards the smiling blonde that still hung onto his arm. She seemed to be a nice girl and it seemed he’d made a good call when he first saw her.

”Well you certainly are quite the woman.” Daisuke smiled down at her laughing lightly, pulling his phone from his pocket. ”So what do you call yourself?” He could definitely see himself becoming friends with this one.

Kojou had quickly bailed after reaching the cafeteria...even if he was hungry he didn't have an appetite for what slop they were serving. Instead he had settled for simply napping back in his cabin, but recently some enhanced noise woke him up. Rather hostile, the belligerent teen stormed back out into the open and hunted for a familiar face. Noticing the noise was centered around the board, he simply shoved his way through to read the riddles.

Riddle 1: if there were a library he'd go there and punch (question) a kid there who probably knew until they said it.
Riddle 2:...see victim one again.
Riddle 3: at this point Kojou's eyes flashed, numbers were something he knew and the first thing that came to mind... a mailbox.
Riddle 4:board? Kojou didn't play boardgames, they were boring...find a chess geek or something, and repeat questioning.
Riddle 5: As someone who'd been arrested before Kojou could only think of a cop car.
Riddle 6: definitely sounds like a clock...at least it reminded him of the big one at home.
Riddle7: Even Kojou saw that they were talking about the letter e.
Riddle 8:...ask victim two, or find a drama lover...sounds like their thing
Riddle 9:Kojou burst out laughing at this one, it was his uncle's favorite line for intimidation - a coffin.

From there the bleached haired youth simply turned from the board and began simply used his large voice to do the rest with a shout.

"OI ALEX!!! LYNDA!! HELL FAY AND THE HELL PATCHY CALLS HIMSELF!!! WHAT TEAM AM I ON?!!!" Kojou exhausted the number of people he'd remembered thus far.

”Well you certainly are quite the woman. So what do you call yourself?”

At first Alex was surprised by the sudden remark, somewhat embarrassed as well. She wasn’t sure if it was a compliment or a taunt because she had been rather pushy, which made her feel a bit anxious for a short moment. But those slightly darker thoughts was quickly wiped away as she saw him smiling down at her, smiling back at him. She took his smile as a positive thing, that is was a compliment. She was just about to answer his question when a familiar voice sounded, more like shouted, over the campsite.

"OI ALEX!!! LYNDA!! HELL FAY AND THE HELL PATCHY CALLS HIMSELF!!! WHAT TEAM AM I ON?!!!"

Looking back at Kojou, which apparently hadn’t been listening to the introduction at all since he was screaming now made Alex grin. Sure, she was going to answer him as well if not anyone else beat her too it. But she felt like it was another question she should answer even before that.

Turning her head up towards Daisuke again she gave a slight nod towards the side which Kojou was at before answering, β€œYou heard that right? Who didn’t? The first one he shouted for was me, I’m Alex, nice to meet you.” A small laughter slipped through her lips before she continued, β€œI guess I should had started with that, maybe. Nah, it’s overrated!” Laughing even more openly now she shook her head, she knew she was acting silly. But she felt like being that, to joke at the matter, hide her embarrassment that had been showing its face just moments earlier.

Without letting go of Daisuke’s arm she turned around towards Kojou and waved, β€œYeah! You were on Lynda’s team but our groups decided to do it together instead so it’s just one big group date! We were heading towards the library to take the first pictures but I guess we are not anymore since everyone still is standing around doing… nothing? Or something?” Alex tilted her head and shrugged, wrinkling her forehead as well as she watched the others who had their noses down into their phones. She hadn’t heard the suggestion about searching the internet to find the answers so she had no idea what they were doing. β€œWhat are you guys doing? I want to get this date started, I caught a good looking one.” When saying it she pointed towards Daisuke grinning again. Yeah, she was just joking again. But someone should do it, everyone was so serious so the whole thing got boring. Alex was like that little mascot trying to make the whole thing more enjoyable and funny.

Kojou smiled when Alex gave her answer, and also turned toward the sounds. He made a note to keep tabs on Alex - she was useful...and popular. Kojou had to add the extra bit of that when he noticed the guy next to her while strutting towards the overall group. His grin adopted a quick Cheshire quality at Alex's use of the word date because it gave him something to play on.

" Date huh...have it your way then," Kojou cocked an eyebrow before speaking but used the pause to directly face everyone else.

"Well everyone since Alex and this dude are spoken for - I'd like to cordially ask you all out on a date...don't worry it'll be my treat." With a rare tone of genuine politeness and rather exaggerated show of a quick bow Kojou had reverted back to having fun.

" Don't worry I'll gentle enough on the first date - Lynda can answer that one well enough first hand. After all Alex, was I not gentle with her?" Kojou through a wink at both parties while casually referencing the little spar he'd done with Lynda previously. At this point, two individuals caught his attention: an orange haired guy, and one with red-looking hair with white streaks. Something...instinct maybe gave him the itching sensation he and them were cut from the same cloth. As a result he ending up giving them a direct look - a challenge while finishing.

" Of course if you think you're down for it I'm perfectly ready to get rough on the first date."

~Renji~

Image

Renji glanced away from the two in front of him and stuffed his hands into his pockets as Tatsuo put his arm around Emily, complementing her on her phone idea. Well, it seemed one of the more interesting girls besides Alex was now preoccupied, not that he minded. He actually found it a tad entertaining seeing as the guy was attempting to do to Emily what he'd tried to do with Lynda only minutes before. Speaking of...

He looked over at the tough, brown haired girl, wondering if with her seemingly competitive nature she'd agree with the phone idea. Really, the riddles were too simple to have to look up, but he didn't care about the riddle game anymore. It was a simple waste of time. Even looking up the answers on their phone would be a waste of time, but he wasn't about to willingly participate in a reformation assignment that he was forced to be a part of. Now that they have both the phone idea and another brain (Daisuke), there was no need for him to get involved. He was just there to be there because he had to be. Plus the company was still interesting.

Then someone shouted, and Renji looked his way as names he recognized were mentioned and as Alex responded. The guy seemed interesting enough. There was both something about him that Ren liked and something he didn't, but he couldn't place a finger on either. When the guy was in front of them, Renji found that, yes, this one was very interesting as well. Different than the other guys he's run into so far. The way the guy eyed him with an obvious challenge, Renji raised an eyebrow before giving a small grin and shrugging. It wasn't difficult to hear the double meaning to his use of the word "date." So this guy was a fighter, and apparently enjoyed it and searched for it like an idiot... Well, at least the guy wasn't psychotic like Renji felt he himself sometimes was.

Accompanying the grin and shrug, Renji said, "Sorry, dude, but I don't swing that way." Renji could fight perfectly well. I mean, that's one of the reasons he was here. His switch clicked, he lost it, and he ended up sending a guy to the emergency room. He wasn't against fighting, he just didn't want his switch to flip or his calmness to break, especially this soon after the last incident. Mostly because it was worth more trouble than not. He didn't want that idiot teacher dude to give him an earful. It would be annoying.

He gave a quick nod in recognition as he stepped past the guy to continue following after Alex and Daisuke, who seemed to him to be getting along quite nicely. He sighed. A loss was a loss but this one grated at him a bit. Not that it mattered. He'd have other chances in the future, whether it be with Alex or someone else. They were all interesting people, after all. He suddenly didn't feel like messing with anyone, though. His mood was ruined more than he'd thought, but oh well. He was fine with solitude unless one of the others actually wanted to approach him. Too bad he couldn't have collapsed during this exercise instead of the "get-to-know-everyone-by-going-around-in-a-circle" thing. Then he wouldn't have to participate here and he'd have more information on all of them.

Rose Davis

Rose walked quietly, easily going unnoticed by her teammates as she silently wandered away from her group as she stared at the paper in her hands with a thoughtful look. She wasn't actually thinking about how to solve the riddles, though. She didn't have a chance at that, so why try when it wasn't important or worth the effort? She was actually zoned out in her own little world, rolling her tongue around the cherry sucker in her mouth as she was stuck in a daydream about a treasure hunt, where she was the main lead as a female version of Indiana Jones. If only this little scavenger hunt could be as exciting as the fantasy.

Caught in her own mind, she wasn't really paying attention as she walked, but was unconsciously following the feet in front of her. Unbeknownst to her, the feet she was currently following didn't belong to her teammates who were now going their own way. Her thoughts flowed from treasure hunt, to saving an imaginary love from a snake pit, to falling in love, to playing music with her imaginary love, to being back in her band, to landing a recording contract, to giving an epic live concert, to her mom's expression when she proves her wrong by making it big, to the clouds above her head that she was now looking up at and wondering how soft a pillow they would make. Thinking of pillows reminded her of her tiredness and caused her to yawn, closing her eyes, and in the process running into someone's back.

The bump and momentary pain as she stepped back and rubbed her nose jarred her back to reality. Blinking and at a loss, she realized she didn't recognize any of the people in front of her, not even the one she bumped into. She tilted her head in confusion before looking to one side and then the other. Her group was nowhere in sight. As she realized she'd wandered away from them and into a group of strangers, her face turned red with embarrassment. Wait... Which one had she run into? Feeling more embarrassed, she gave a slightly apologetic smiled, rubbing the back of her head as she said, "My bad." Maybe she'd just follow these guys. That would be the easiest route, after all.

Lynda was following along with the group as they began walking towards their first destination. Their conversations all turned into a blur when she heard someone suggest using their phones to find the answers. Her mind went blank for a second as the realization hit her. Their phones. Why didn't she think of that? Why was she struggling to solve these riddles when she could just use the power of the internet? She didn't want to facepalm in front of everyone, so she did it mentally instead.

She reached for her phone when Kojou yelled something from a distance. Alex told him that their two groups formed to make a bigger one, and he made his way over. Other things were happening around her as well, but it was a lot to keep track of. With new faces popping up left and right, everyone chipping in about the riddles, and all the conversation in general, keeping quiet seemed to be a good idea. Not like she could contribute well at the moment anyway.

Alex mentioned something about dates while clinging on to one of the new guys' arm. Lynda noticed that Alex hopped from person to person a lot. That wasn't a bad thing; it probably just meant that she was really friendly. She couldn't help but notice that she grabbed on to or let others touch her though. Was she one of those types? People who like contact with others? Or did she just genuinely like the guy she was holding? Whatever the case, she had to keep her guard up. If it was the former, she wouldn't put it past her to randomly glomp her, and living with her only increases those chances.

"Well everyone since Alex and this dude are spoken for - I'd like to cordially ask you all out on a date...don't worry it'll be my treat."

Huh? What was he talking about? Lynda looked in Kojou's direction.

"Don't worry I'll gentle enough on the first date - Lynda can answer that one well enough first hand. After all Alex, was I not gentle with her?"

Lynda understood now. He wasn't literally asking everyone on a date, he was just talking about fighting. Wait... gentle? Lynda clenched her fists and smirked. She knew he was holding back at the time, but gentle irked her slightly. She was sure that he wasn't mocking her, but it was rousing her fighting spirit at the same time. She did want a rematch eventually; a full on fight, but at a later time.

"Sorry, dude, but I don't swing that way."

She chuckled a bit. It was Renji wasn't it? She wanted to tell him that Kojou was taking about fighting, but she realized that he probably already knew. Something about him was interesting... was it his eyes? Was he like Kojou and her? Her adrenaline flared a bit at the thought. If Renji was a fighter too, she had to see what he was capable of eventually.

A small bump from behind decked her spirit to zero with the sudden collision. Turning her head, she saw a girl with light purple hair. She seemed embarrassed for it, and said "My bad."

Lynda in turn smiled at her with a "No problem!" before turning back. She was getting distracted. Inputting the password into her phone, she went on the internet, searching for the answers to these damned riddles.

"OI ALEX!!! LYNDA!! HELL FAY AND THE HELL PATCHY CALLS HIMSELF!!! WHAT TEAM AM I ON?!!!"

β€œYou heard that right? Who didn’t? The first one he shouted for was me, I’m Alex, nice to meet you. I guess I should had started with that, maybe. Nah, it’s overrated!”

Daisuke’s head turned to see the young, white-haired man that’d just yelled out in their direction. So her name is Alex, huh? Well it’s nice to finally have a name to go with the face. Looking back to her laughing face Daisuke smiled widely.

β€œIt’s great to meet you, too. It’s really nice to have a name to call you by, Alex.”

She certainly was fun. His thoughts quickly drifted to wondering why she was here as she turned and waved, continuing to talk to the guy that’d just yelled out to them.

”What are you guys doing? I want to get this date started, I caught a good looking one.”

A slight blush graced Daisuke’s cheeks at the remark, though he could tell she was joking. Yes, this whole group was fun. His thoughts shot back to the riddles they’d been assigned to figure out. Maybe, it’d be easier for him to just figure them out instead of typing in all those words. He pulled the sheet back out and looked at the riddle’s he hadn’t even bothered to glance at. Starting at the fourth one, he begun to reason aloud.

β€œWhat’s filled six days a week, but if you don’t own it, you can’t take a peek? Probably a mailbox…yep definitely a mailbox. What kind of men are always above board? Is that a play on words? Maybe on a board? Chessmen! What's black & white and full of fuzz? Full of fuzz? I’ll come back to that one… What won’t run long without winding? A river, obviously…”

These questions were easier that he thought they’d be. The next was the letter E, the next was heart, and the last was one of the Halloween riddles he heard every year: a coffin. How were they gonna find a coffin to take a picture of? Daisuke shook his head. Now that he’d figured most of them out, did he really want to just blurt out the answers? He’d seem a bit like a know-it-all if he did, but he did want to get a nap in. The thought of that bed waiting back in the cabin made him want to yawn. Daisuke turned his head back to the group and shouted over his shoulder.

β€œSomebody look up the one about the fuzz! That’s the main one I don’t have any clues on!”

Putting the paper back in his pocket and gently pulling his arm from Alex’s grasp, he took out his phone and put in all the answers he had so far. After he’d finished, he handed the phone to Alex, smiling slightly.

β€œSo this is what I think we’re looking for so far. What do you think?”

Daisuke was pretty confident in most of the answers, but a second opinion would still be helpful, especially if there was something he’d missed, and when he was focused on getting sleep, that tended to happen a bit.

Alex listened to Kojou continue to spin around on the topic date that she had launched, his speech was extremely amusing. Alex found herself laughing slightly at it, get rough on the date huh. Sadly no one responded to that remark, those answers could had been even more amusing than the topic itself. So she took it in her own hands to point out what he had said, β€œI’m perfectly fine with being rough on the first date, but I already have a partner, so too bad for you!

As she listened to the other’s she noticed how the so called partner started to mumble to himself, she wasn’t sure about what though. She didn’t listen to carefully since she found the other’s conversation about dates and stuff more interesting. But soon he took his arm out of her grasp, which at first made her disappointed but she soon understood why since he handed her his phone after.

β€œSo this is what I think we’re looking for so far. What do you think?”

Alex stared down at the phone and up at Daisukee afterwards, she found it rather strange that he wanted her to check his answer. Her. She figured that there were many others better suited people in the group that could check them, but she did it anyway. Flattered by the fact that he actually let her do it.

As she eyed the answers she had no clue about if it was right or not, but it all somehow made sense? So she guessed that they were right so she just looked up at him again and grinned, β€œWow, you’re so smart! You’ve figured out so many of them!” When she looked down at them again something hit her, a small moment of brain activity, β€œHey, if the last one is a coffin and it should be a place, don’t they mean the graveyard? It’s located near this place, right?”

-Renji-

Image

After a moment of feeling annoyed at the situation, Renji sighed and shrugged to himself. Nothing he could do about it anyways, so why not just go with it and see what happens? Something interesting, probably.

"Wow, you're so smart! You've figured out so many of them!"

Renji couldn't help but give a small smile as his hands sunk deep into his pockets as he relaxed again. Does she always have this much personality, or is she just trying to flirt with him? Now that he was back to his normal numb calmness, something that's been bugging him came to the forefront of his mind again. He heard Alex say the answer to the last riddle and ask about the graveyard, though he doubted they would find a coffin above ground there, but who knew? Maybe they would. Either way, he saw an opening for interaction and took it. He caught up with them, and coming from behind, causally draped one arm across both of their shoulders so that he was still mostly behind them but somewhat between them. He didn't know as much about Daisuke since he was one of the last to appear, but something about the guy's name was still bothering him and he didn't know what. Not knowing irked him more than anything. He didn't recall ever knowing a Daisuke, so he must be missing something.

"Wohow! Thanks to you two we've pretty much solved all of the riddles and can get this game over with," he said, a fake but believable sound of aw ringing in his voice. He moved his arms behind his head as he spun to look back at the others, as he did noticing that a purple haired girl was silently following them. Was she part of their group as well? "Hey, guys! Seems like we've figured out all of the riddles. Since the teacher dude didn't say we all had to be in the pictures, do you want to split up or stick together to find them?" His new task was to figure out why the name 'Daisuke' seemed so familiar to him. He thought if he stuck around the guy it might come back to him, so if they split up he'd be sure to get in his group.

Rose blinked, giving a small nod as one of the girls said "No problem!" and guessed that's the one she'd run into. Huh. As one guy called back to the group, she realized their group had already solved the riddles. Wait... Rose couldn't figure even one of them out if she tried, so why were they able to get all of them? She clicked her teeth on her sucker before rolling it to the other side of her mouth. After a moment she shrugged and looked back up at the clouds again. If they already knew the answers that just meant that she'd be able to get back to her cabin faster. She again thought about how soft a cloud pillow would be and stretched her arms above her head with a yawn. Clasping her hands behind her back, she started to hum before something the guy with hair that somehow reminded her of a cyndaquil's flame caught her attention, causing her to blink again.

Split up? But wait... If they split up I won't be able to get all of the pictures...

Without really thinking about it, she suddenly sat cross-legged on the ground, staring at it as she tried to think about the possible dilemma.

Who should I follow if they split up? They almost have enough group members to where each could get one photo... or do they? Wait... Wouldn't they go in at least groups of two so one can be in the picture to prove they were there? Wait... Didn't Cyndaquil say they didn't have to be in the pictures? Well, he said they didn't all have to be in the pictures, but wouldn't they need one group member in them as proof? Or do they just need a picture of the object... But then couldn't they just get the pictures off of the internet connection on their phones and present those instead? Um...

She kind of just intensely stared at the ground as her mind worked in circles until her thoughts finally became incoherent and her brain felt overloaded. Giving up on thinking, she went from her cross-legged position to lying on her back and staring at the sky blankly, arms spread out to either side. She laid there for a moment before remembering she was supposed to be following their group and hopped up to her feet again.

Ido Draskovich

Ido runs his hand up and through his hair, clearing the haze of passed sleep from his mind and yawning out the remaining creeks in his bone. It was a long and torturous ride, one that he hoped that would not need to be repeated anytime soon and the groaning stiffness in the back of his left knee was a turgid reminder of this. He takes a final look at the board in front of him before the sight of a figure approaching from one of the paths catches his eye. Ido sets his backpack down on one of his bags before turning to fully face the older looking gentleman. He had a certain look about him, that same "Now listen carefully" expression that almost all the teachers at school could be seen wearing almost all times of the day. He introduces himself as Karuko and Ido is quick to remember to shake his hand and greet him eagerly, a fact that his father worked hard to ingrain within him.

He nods as Karuko explains what is happening too him, only to look off in the direction that he points to see the small group hustling about. "Well.. at least something is happening"
However it appears that Ido's words slightly fall alone as Karuko takes his belongings and hefts them up to carry. Letting him know that he would be staying in one of the cabins, in room six to be more precise. He looks on as he can hear himself being sent in the direction of the group. The teacher urging him to get moving and catch up to them as so he can possibly participate in this event with them. Though Ido knew nothing of what was going on or what it was the group was doing, he takes one last look behind him to see Karuko moving off with his luggage in tow and takes a cursory check of his leg. Effectively rubbing the once sore thigh muscle before he continues walking towards the group.

Walking on; he brakes into a small jog only to catch up with the bulk of the group. As well to also chase the rest of the stale feeling from his body. Giving a small lighthearted wave towards them as he approaches.

As the group talked about dates and whatnot Tatsuo let his mind drift for a minute before remembering Emily who he still had his arm around. "Emily, right? You seem like the observant type. I think we'll get along well." As he spoke Tatsuo shot her a smile before tuning back into the others just in time to hear Alex. β€œHey, if the last one is a coffin and it should be a place, don’t they mean the graveyard? It’s located near this place, right?” Instantly perking up Tatsuo called over to Alex. "A graveyard? I'm in! Let's go there first!"
As they continued to walk Tatsuo heard Renji start speaking and instead of zoning out again he listened. "Wohow! Thanks to you two we've pretty much solved all of the riddles and can get this game over with." After pausing for a moment Renji continued. "Hey, guys! Seems like we've figured out all of the riddles. Since the teacher dude didn't say we all had to be in the pictures, do you want to split up or stick together to find them?" After considering a moment Tatsuo shrugged. "I don't care as long as I get to go to the graveyard." Suddenly Tatsuo stopped talking as if he remembered something. "But I don't have my cell on me... I didn't have access to it when I.... left."

Lynda's nerves calmed to a more comfortable level when the other members of their group figured out the riddles. She mentally sighed as some of the answers were more simple than she had thought. It was always that way when it came to things like riddles with her; always thinking too hard and making it more difficult then it really is.

Either way, she was glad that the hard part was over, and all they had to do was to take pictures of said answers. She overheard talk of heading to a graveyard near here to get the first picture, a coffin. A little creepy, but shouldn't be too much of a problem unless they had to dig one up or something. Come to think of it, aren't coffins always in the ground? How were they supposed to get a picture of one? Crash a funeral?

Deciding on just to deal with it when they got there, she overheard Tatsuo saying he didn't have his phone on him to take any pictures. She walked over and chirped up with a smirk.

"Don't worry, I have mine. I think group pictures count, so I'll just include you in mine."

She then turned back to the group and raised her voice a bit so everyone could hear her.

"Hey guys, I'm going to the graveyard near here to take that picture of a coffin! I don't know if were going together or splitting up, but follow me if you want."

With a new goal, Lynda proudly took the first step towards progress... then stopped dead in her tracks.

Just where was this graveyard? She didn't know the area at all.

"Umm... can someone tell me which way I'm going...?" Lynda sheepishly asked with her cheeks flushed in embarrassment. She was so ready to lead the charge, and didn't even know the right way to go. She inwardly sighed.

"I remember when I used to think before I did things..."

It was over, she had tried but it didn't work. All the efforts she needed to succeed, all the pressure on her that she needed to succeed. The expectations she wasn't able to reach. People disappearing, dropping out of the camp like flies. And now it was her turn. Perhaps it was her time to give up now, yeah she had already given up. When she skipped the class she knew she had given up already. It could had been so easy, just get over there and do the stupid assignment that the teacher wanted them to do. But she didn't. Instead she skipped it. Playing around. Doing nothing at all. At that moment she knew she had given up.

And now there was nothing more she could do. It was over. She stood there by the front gate to the camp with her bags packed and knew she had to head out once more. Knew that she had screwed up. That her future in this country was over. Now she had no reason to stay here anymore, or she couldn't. She had failed her classes, she had failed the camp. Now the only thing she could do was to return to her parents with her tail between her legs and ask them to let her follow them to wherever they wanted to go next. Where she could start anew.

She didn't know where it would be. But it wouldn't be like this. But she would miss this place, the people she had met here. The conversations she had with them, their way of thinking and acting. It was a funny bunch. But no one was there to wish her goodbye, why would they wish her goodbye? She was just someone they had met and spent some time with. They had laughed, argued, tried so hard together. But no one was there to tell her goodbye.

Did she think someone of them would be able to finish the camp and succeed? No. She thought that every one of them would one by one drop out. Leave the others behind, standing here where she stood now and look at the camp ground. Wondering where everyone was. Why no one came to give them one last hug goodbye. She knew that everyone would fail, even if they tried their hardest nothing would work because that was who they were. People that gave up to easily, that was how they ended up in here in the first place. And no one would be able to do anything about that.

They were quitters, every single one of them. Even if they tried it was in their DNA. She knew that now because she had fallen down the rabbit hole herself. Even if she had hoped she wouldn't but it was over, gone, nothing left she could do. At some point the only thing you could do was admit defeat and that was what she did now.

So with her hands outstretched into the air she waved goodbye to the camp and the people inside of it, grinning wildly to hide the sadness within, "Bye! I will not miss you guys! Or I will probably miss you! Alright I admit it, I will miss you guys soo much! You were awesome! So stay awesome!" In the end she didn't know what more she could say so she just go quiet and stood there for a while, waiting to see if someone would come and give her a hug now. But in the end she just shrugged and walked out through the gate.

Once outside she glanced back towards the campground, her earlier grin completely gone. What was left was nothing but a sad look in her eyes, she knew she would miss this place. But she walked away from it, not glancing behind her once more, no more longing looks for what once was. Now she could only focus on what was in front of her instead. Probably something that was just as fun but not nearly as troublesome.

The times she had there had been the shortest. She honestly didn't know what to do, and even despite everything she still had no one. She sighed to herself quietly holding her cat and her backpack walking towards the front gate. Everything seemed to just vanish and she closed her eyes trying her best not to cry about it all. She came here a fireball just waiting to get extinguished and pushed everyone away from her. She wished she hadn't made those mistakes and actually has someone she would consider to be a friend.

A small smile was on her face as she saw the girl leaving, she wished that she could be that happy about things, b it would never work out that way for her. She ran up and grabbed onto the girls shirt holding her there. "There isn't anymore? I was put here to make friends, but it was a horrible mistake. I didn't make any and I haven't gotten any better." She huffed out. looking at the sky not really knowing what to say. "I don't want to go home... They don't want me home either." Her final words slipped out and all she did was slip into the forest. She wouldn't be going home anytime soon. That would best thing she could have wanted, but everything ends up like this and there was no helping it despite what she could have ever wanted.

A dull "thud" echoed throughout the gym as Lynda sunk her fist into a punching bag over and over. Her luggage sat against the wall nearby and the gym was devoid of life except for her. The camp has been almost cleared out by now.

It had failed. Too many people disappeared or were kicked out for breaking the rules. This camp was everyone's last chance; a chance to turn their lives around, for a better future. But it failed, coming to a screeching halt, crashing and burning taking everyone on board with it. Including her.

Gritting her teeth, Lynda let another right connect with the bag, rocking on it's suspended chain as the force near tore it off completely. Her knuckles were going numb. It felt like she was here for hours, doing nothing but hitting this bag. At first, it was to give her something to do until her parents arrived to pick her up, then it turned into full blown venting. Wiping sweat from her brow, she clenched her fist and winded up. The last one she would ever get. All of her frustrations were stored inside her fist in an attempt to let out all of it.

As hard as she could, she threw her fist at a dizzying speed topped with a cry of anger and frustration from Lynda herself, slamming into the already well used bag. The echo easily surpassed the volume of the other punches, and the poor bag bent to the shape of her the impact before it flew backwards and crashed against the wall, snapping the chain that supported it.

For a moment, all that could be heard was Lynda's panting as she observed her accidental vandalism. For once she didn't care; Not about the rules, not about the property, and surely not about a camp that wasted her time and screwed her over along with the others.

Slinging her bag over her shoulder and grabbing her other one, she pushed out of the gym's front door and headed to the front gate, where her undoubtedly irate parents were waiting for her. It didn't matter if Lynda had done anything wrong herself; her parents would take this as a failure under her account, and punish her as such. Fun.

She near dragged her feet as the gate got closer. Where did it all go wrong? Fay, Kojou, everyone else... she had a feeling that this summer could've been better, maybe even great, but not now. Now everyone's summer, and possibly even their futures, were ruined. It wasn't fair. This camp was all they had left, and it couldn't even hold itself together.

"Damn it..." She cursed under her breath. She couldn't even say bye to her own roommate who had left before she had a chance to see her.

Arriving at the gate, she heard a voice, surprised that there was still anyone here. Her parents had just arrived and pulled up next to her, but that isn't where it came from.

"Bye! I will not miss you guys! Or I will probably miss you! Alright I admit it, I will miss you guys soo much! You were awesome! So stay awesome!"

"Alex?!" She's still here?"

There she was, walking away from the camp while that new girl who attacked that other one caught up to her, saying something that she was too far out of earshot to hear. She wanted to call out to them, finally say her goodbyes. Her father had other plans.

"Lynda Romaine! In the car! Now!"

Lynda's attention turned towards her parents car once more, as her father opened the backdoor and pointed inside. His face showed utter disappointment and frustration, her mother's almost the same. Nodding in obedience, she stepped inside as her father put her luggage in the trunk and damn near slammed it closed, causing her to wince at the sound. As he drove off, Lynda looked out the window one last time, and saw the camp getting smaller and smaller into the distance, Alex and the other girl looked no bigger than a dot before disappearing.

With a small sigh she sunk into her seat, preparing for the biggest lecture she had ever received from her parents when she got home.
