The sword came out of the sheath and slashed down across the butler. Fang's eyes widened, a little taken aback at the ruthlessness coming from Niks. He knew there was that general hacker deviousness in her, but he didn't know she would be this, well, awesome. His malicious smile only grew. He was liking this world--and this chick--more and more every second he spent here. He nodded when she motioned him on and stood by her side as they finally exited the mansion.

Outside was something he wasn't really expecting. Fang took a wide look around, even he felt awed by the beauty of the land. It was so close to reality, but at the same time it was just...better. "The graphics in this thing are epic," he couldn't help but saying as he crouched down. Fang pulled out a piece of grass and pulled it apart in his hand. It felt soft and maybe a little dewy, just like it would in the little gardens of his neighbor's yard around the time he had to go to school, on the rare days he did go to school. It felt nice and reassuring to know how real these things were in this fake fantasy world.

Standing back up, Fang pulled out a map he'd taken from one of the butlers earlier before he tore him apart. "Okay, let's see here. This place is a total wasteland. I wanna know where all the other players are. The good-guys," he said, glancing up a little to see Nik's reaction to his plans. He glanced back down and stood back at her side to show her the map, pointing to an area in the center of the map. "This place seems to be right. East of here." Folding up the map, Fang put it back in the satchel on his side (he obviously couldn't carry a backpack with his wings in the way).

Walking forward a little, Fang stopped and took another look around. This place really was great. Maybe he really wouldn't leave. What else did he have to go back to anyway? Turning to face Niks, he held out a clawed hand. "Okay, 'milady,'" he mocked the butler, "care to join--" He paused a moment, yellow eyes glancing up and past Niks and landing on a really strange character. "Uh..?" He wasn't even sure what to say to it, but he motioned to Niks to get out of its way. Stepping up bravely, Fang looked the creature over. "Who are you supposed to be? Are you like a boss or a creature or something? Demon of the Dusk Castle?"

He snickered and prodded at the creature. "Man, I thought this game had good graphics. You are just butt-ugly."

Darren had no idea what this 'game' the dragon-boy was reffering to, but certianly knew what that last bit was. The insult only mildly irritated him, but for some reason he felt a sudden, overwhelming urge to kill this fool. It's not likely he'd really done anything, he just suddenly needed to run him through with his sword, as though it was an almost undeniable instinct. Lunging forward, he wrapped his hand around the dragon-boys neck, lifting him off the ground. With a flick of his wrist, his sword was drawn up, the blade pressing against the boys neck. Oh, how he longed to shove that blade a few feet further. Yet... he just couldn't explain the need. From what little he remembered of... something... killing was bad, and a very extreme thing to do. Certainly not the kind of thing one would do over a mere insult. This made him wary of this sudden need he felt. Mistrustful of it. Leaning in, constraining himself from giving his wrist another little flick forwards, he stated "Don't. Do That. Again." With a great effort, he let go.

Now that he had already moved on from the killing, he didn't feel bad about it. But he didn't feel good about it. There was no rush of pride or accomplishment at bettering his feral urge, at managing not to do the action of base pleasure. The need just retreated. There was nothing telling him that what he'd done was right. He just somehow knew it was. Casting his eyes about, not looking at the boy he'd so nearly tried to kill, he looked around at his environment. Looking back, though still avoiding the eyes of the dragon boy, he asked "Where the hell are we? And who are you?"

Niks hesitated watching Fang confront the other. "I think.." She started before falling silent. She didn't really know. She tugged at the strap of her blade and walked slowly to the side of Fang, smiling faintly at the other. He must be a hacker..Or he wouldn't be here. She knew this to be true. She grabbed a hankful of her own black locks and tugged cruelly on them, grimacing in slight pain as she did.

"Okay okay..Look, let's just all start over." Her voice vibrated around the place, it almost felt powerful. She marveled at it, clapping a hand on Fang's shoulder, and the other on the new person. She patted them both before flipping a lock of hair back in place and taking a step back. She kept a hand on her sword just in case though... "Mmkay, so, who are you.. You're in Allora." She added softly, as he had asked that. She shook her head. This was confusing.

Niks didn't get this at all. But hey, life was that way..

Fang felt a sting of shock run through him as the guy--obviously a player, he realized a little too late at this point--lifted him off the ground. The sensation was weird and that was the reason why he didn't fight back, the same reason that almost chilled him to the very bone in a fear he would go out of his way to hide, and it wasn't fear for this guy. No, Fang knew he could of gotten himself easily out of that situation, but he was frozen with the fear of another source. The pain around his neck, around his windpipe--it was so real. Fang felt every bit of it.

When he was dropped to the ground, he gasped for the air he didn't think he even needed here. What...was that!? He looked numbly between the new guy and Niks as they spoke, but didn't fully register what they were saying. Shaking his feelings off quickly, however, Fang came back to reality. Fear was a weakness; weakness was something he didn't have here. He wasn't Lenny Cawtail anymore--he was Fang. A fearsome dragon boy with a deadly personality. He had no reason to fear anything here, not even the reality of the pain.

Fang had the urge to snap back, maybe provoke a fight even. Nobody did that to Fang! Nobody! At least, nobody who dared get away with it. But Niks stepped in before he could do anything and forced him to calm down. He still narrowed his eyes at this weirdo and clenched his fist threateningly. "I don't like you," he stated simply. "And don't you know where you are? You're a hacker, right? Just like us? You should know we're in the video game, duh."

He shoved Niks hand of his shoulder and turned around. "C'mon, Niks, let's go. This guy's a weirdo and I'm itching for some chaos." He glanced back at the two with a raised eyebrow as if to say, well? "And, hey, weirdo, you don't get to know my name. Got it? You can follow us, but I wouldn't recommend it." He pointedly avoided asking the new guy his own name.
