The village provides fresh milk, eggs, meats, wood and metal work, herbal medicines and teas, and clothing.

Roshia sat still and rubbed the end of her dress after Ofelia told her Arrow was okay. She didn't look up at any of them. "That is what people say before they die." She slightly snapped. Roshia needed to do something, she couldn't just sit there so she got up and made food. She began to chop some veggies up and looked outside to see Gene slip and fall. Her body tenses but she got up laughing and ran to chase a butterfly. Roshia shook her head, "That girl is something else." She smiled.
Lorelei's mouth watered. "Or you might distract me. I love cake. I can always ask her when she gets home. She lives right there at the entrance of the lake. Convenient since she works in town." Her legs began to fall asleep so she dropped in his lap. "Oh... okay. No problem. Not like Misha ever cries or anything. No worries." She rolled off and got up before going into her room and change. She came back out in a blue dress. "You ready?" She asked.
Lorelei's mouth watered. "Or you might distract me. I love cake. I can always ask her when she gets home. She lives right there at the entrance of the lake. Convenient since she works in town." Her legs began to fall asleep so she dropped in his lap. "Oh... okay. No problem. Not like Misha ever cries or anything. No worries." She rolled off and got up before going into her room and change. She came back out in a blue dress. "You ready?" She asked.
Rowan sighed again and shook his head. "I wont die. If I was going to die we would know because i'd get sick first, okay?" Was all he had to say about that. Rowan didnt like to talk about being sick, he spent most of his childhood sick, trapped in his parents house. He didnt like to be reminded that it could happen to him again.
Ofelia walked over to look out the window just in time to see Gene fall down, only to get right back up and keep chasing a butterfly. "Jeez I hope my kid is like her. Dont know how I'd handle a kiddo that was bothered by falling over. I did that shit all the time when I was little. My dad said I was never bothered unless I started bleeding." She said with a giggle.
"Oh, well thats convenient then. You can go over and ask her when she's done with work some time then huh." He said just before she got up and went into her room. When she came back up Adrian was digging through his bag again, mumbling about forgetting something. He swung his bag over his shoulder and stood up and held the door open for Lorelei. "Yeah, we better get going before Misha decides I went missing and sends Blair to find me." He said with a smile.
Ofelia walked over to look out the window just in time to see Gene fall down, only to get right back up and keep chasing a butterfly. "Jeez I hope my kid is like her. Dont know how I'd handle a kiddo that was bothered by falling over. I did that shit all the time when I was little. My dad said I was never bothered unless I started bleeding." She said with a giggle.
"Oh, well thats convenient then. You can go over and ask her when she's done with work some time then huh." He said just before she got up and went into her room. When she came back up Adrian was digging through his bag again, mumbling about forgetting something. He swung his bag over his shoulder and stood up and held the door open for Lorelei. "Yeah, we better get going before Misha decides I went missing and sends Blair to find me." He said with a smile.
Lorelei didn't get a chance to answer when it started raining. She also didn't expect to be picked up. She blushed and held onto him until they got to her lab. They had been soaked and she hurried to start a fire. "I have one of your shirts here you can wear. "Take off your clothes and hang them by the fire." She said before disappearing and changing into an oversized sweater before coming out and handing him his old shirt.
Adrian watched Lorelei disappear before taking his shirt off and hanging it by the fire like she told him to do since it was mainly just his shirt that ended up soaked and Adrian felt weird about getting any more un-clothed. He took his shoew and socks off and then sat in front of the fire. Lorelei came out with his old shirt and he put it on. "Thanks" He said smiling up at her.
"Anytime, so glad when I wore it to the lab Misha didn't cry. Actually he didn't even know it was yours." She laughed softly before sitting on the for and wiggling her toes. "It's a comfy shirt. I sleep in it sometimes." She looked down and smiled. "Might just have to steal some of your shirts." She teased.
Adrian laughed. "He wouldnt notice something like that anyways. He's not one to pay attention to what people wear. " Adrian said, closing his eyes and enjoying the warmth of the fire. "You can steal as many of my shirts as you want to. Since theyre so comfy as pajamas" He said softly with a chuckle. "Well you cant steal all of them though, I cant be running around naked from the waist up you know."
Lorelei watched him, "I'm sure Elise wouldn't mind." She smiled. "But then she might rough and I don't want to hurt a friend. So... I will leave you a few." She laughed softly and swayed to the feeling if the warmth. She got silent for a bit just taken in everything and hugged her knees to her chest. He was going to leaving in four days. "Could you sleep here... for the rest of your stay?" She whispered.
Adrian laughed. "Wouldnt be he first time she's tried..She's pretty uh...promiscuous I hear." Adrian said shaking his head at the thought of Elise. The woman scared him with how aggressive she could be if she felt like it. Adrian looked over at Lorelei and raised an eyebrow. "I can, if thats what you would like me to do. Misha might cry, but he'll get over it." He said laughing softly at Misha's ridiculous crying habit.
Lorelei smiled she liked hearing his laugh. It filled the room with a different kind of warmth. "I would like tgat a lot ." She said softly before shaking her head. "I would be shock if there was something he wouldn't cry over." She giggled. He was a strange old man who felt like home. The way the fire's light flickered made Adrian' s eyes glow. It made her state a bit longer than she would have liked and she looked away to watch the rain pour down.
Adrian laid back on the floor and closed his eyes. "WEll he's gonna cry his poor eyes out when I dont show up tonight. I'll have to show up early in the morning before he sends Blair on a wild goose hunt. I'm sure thats the last thing he wants to do on his off day...." Adrian smirked a little. "Well maybe it would be funny when he finds out I was here the whole time after running around the city all day....But I wont be that mean to him." He said opening his eyes and looking over at Lorelei.
She had closed her eyes and smiled. "You have a lot of people that care about you. She said softly, "that's always a good thing, even if they are all crazy and you are the only sane one." She giggled and swayed a bit. When she looked back at him her smile softened. "You know... I am small enough so you could pack me up." She half joked. Lorelei wanted to crawl over to him and lay her head on his chest, but she didn't want to scare him. She thought about it for a minute. Her old self would have done it anyway. So she slid to the floor and crawled to him before resting her head on his chest and listened to his heart.
Adrian laughed a little. "You think I'm sane?" He asked as she crawled over and laid her head on his chest, which made his heart beat a little bit faster, but he didnt mind it at all. He liked that he could be close to Lorelei like this. And he needed to get used to it if he was going to keep his word about being her first. "I would pack you up if I could, but then you'd be stuck at campus and thats no good." He said softly.
He was warm, a different kind of warm than the fire. If she could girl into it she would. Lorelei smiled at the faster pace of his heart. "That's true... and then who is going to check up on everyone? Mishap is too much of a mess to tend to them. He would just cry that they were doing well or not well. My lab would be flooded. My poor journals would be ruined. I would be super sad." She sighed and closed her eyes. "I hope when I visit I can sneak into one of your classes and learn from you, since you are always learning from me."
"Right? Everything would go to crap immediately. We cant leave those weirdos without any supervision, theyll destroy the whole city." Adrian said, not doubting that they actually would if people didnt occupy their time. Adrian absentmindedly reached over and started playing with Lorelei's hair. "My classes are pretty straight forward. We do a lot of labs because I cant be bothered to just stand in front of a podium and talk for an hour at a time. The students seem to like it better that way too most of the time...I'm not sure I like teaching, i'd rather just learn instead." He said softly.
She didn't say a thing when he played with her hair. It meant he was used to getting close to her. She savored every moment she had with him because she knew she would be a mess when he left. "Teaching willing people isn't too bad. I mean I taught you... well still teaching. You are a work in progress, Adrian." She laughed. "My sister, America, loved to teach. Even though she was pretty much a horrible person." She sighed. "Anyway." She looked up at him. "Labs are fun, maybe I can be that annoying student who knows everything." She smiled.
Adrian chuckled a little bit. "Theyd hate you so much. They already hate that I know everything. Most of them are pretty cool about it though. Maybe you can come and show the other girls they dont have to act stupid in class. They all play dumb then when theres a test they do just fine. I dont get it one bit." Adrian said with a sigh, wondering why they would act like that. "I feel like i'll probably always be a work in progress Lor, who knows what you'll have to teach me next?" He said softly as he closed his eyes and let her hair fall from his fingertips.
Lorelei blinked, "They act stupid, but are actually smart?" She though about it, playing with a button on his shirt. "Oh... I know a girl who would come over and do that with Nasir, before Ofelia came along. She acted like she knew nothing of carpentry, but her father was a retired carpenter and she had helped him with his shop. I think it is so they can use it as an excuse for you to talk and spend time with you. I believe they like you, Adrian." She said and pouted a bit thinking he was over there with a bunch of girls who like him, but she didn't worry much. He didn't seem to even catch on to their flirting. She glared at nothing, he didn't even catch on to her's sometimes either.
Adrian thought about it for a minute. "That would make sense only if they were coming to me for help. But they go to study groups instead, which is fine with me." He said looking down at Lorelei as she played with the button on his shirt, wondering if it was bothering her. Adrian decided he'd play a joke on Lorelei. "You know if the button is bothering you that much I can just ditch the shirt entirely." He said, closing his eyes again and trying not to smile. He more or less just wanted to see what she'd say.
Lorelei thought about it and shrugged. She didn't understand those kind of girls, not even her sisters were like that. Ameria was the one to make boys play dumb, Haera was the one to scare them away with her rough and toughness, and Roshia beat the crap out of any guy who looked at her with intention of courting her. She didn't even know how she got pregnant in the first place. And then Adrian said he could ditch the shirt. She blushed a bit and sat up, "Okay... go for it, but I will poke your belly button. Fair warning." She smiled down at him, her cheeks still flushed.
Adrian opened one eye to look at Lorelei who was blushing a little bit, then sat up, unbuttoned his shirt, set it aside and laid back down and closed his eyes again. "There. No more pesky buttons to distract you now." Adrian put his hand over his belly button and his other hand behind his head. "No belly buttons to poke here either." He said softly.
Lorelei about died, but she dropped her head acting like she lost the battle. "One of these days... you won't be paying attention and you will stretch. And when you stretch, Adrian... oh when you stretch your belly button will show and I will poke it." She looked at him evilly and started to laugh evilly before laughing harder at herself. "But seriously," She glared at him, "I will win this war. My daddy didn't raise no quitter." She smiled and traced her fingers along his abs absentmindedly. "I kind of wished they would have let me gone to war with them... or at least give them my concoctions... then I wouldn't be so damn worried about my family. Haera is even in it. Heard that she forced them to let her in." She frowned a bit.
Adrian laughed and shook his head. "I will never give in to your weird belly button obsession I will guard it with my life, Lorelei. You wont get it. I will win this silly war and you'll have to sing for me as a reward." Adrian said and laughed kind of evilly. He did end up blushing a little when she traced his abs but he was tried to ignore it. Adrian sat up and ruffled Lorelei's hair, still covering his belly button. "Well if your sister was fighting to get into the war I dont think you gotta worry about them too much" He said softly.
Lorelei pouted a bit, "You underestimate me, Adrian... I have many ways to get you to move that hand." She smiled and puffed her cheeks when he ruffled her hair. She undid her braids and fixed her hair, leaving it undone. It was long and wavy thanks to the braid. She cupped his face, "I sure hope... I love my family, even those I barely talk to." She smiled softly and leaned to kiss him stopping a few centimeters from his lips. She could feel their warmth and she poked both of his nipples. "Move that hand, Adrian." She smirked.
Adrian turned bright red and puffed his cheeks out at her then pecked Lorelei on the lips before looking down at his hand. "Hmmm..No I think I like it to be there. It's pretty comfortable. In fact I think I'll leave it there forever Lorelei." He said with a smirk before he laid back down on the floor and stuck his tongue out at her. "You'll never get that belly button. Just give up already." He said confidently.
She smiled when he pecked her but it quickly glared at him playfully. "You forget who it is your are talking to. The girl who knows no boundaries. The girl who will go where no one will." She giggled evilly and thought about it for a moment. Lorelei would have to make him uncomfortable a bit so that he would move his hand. She just didn't know what would make him uncomfortable. Lorelei looked into the fire and though about it. Her mind wandered to that night she placed his hand over her heart and smirked. Lorelei straddle right over his belly button. "Going to move your hand now... or no?" She asked.
