Ava-Marie Rivers's Story

"Len!" a loud, woman's voice called. "Lenny, Ava's here!" The upstairs of Lennon's home looked like a bomb had swept through. Len raced around through the hallways, throwing last minute items into a bag. "Len! Did your even hear me?!" Len stopped at the top of the stairs, hair gel in his hands as he tried to tame that mess of curly hair on his head.

"Damn it, I'll be down in a second!" he yelled, hurrying back into his room. Once there, he slammed the door shut and looked around at the empty room. Well, almost empty. Only a fourth or so of Lennon's collection of books would fit into the suitcases he had decided to bring. "Maybe just one more...?" he murmured, pulling out a copy of To Kill A Mockingbird and running his fingers along the spine. Maybe if forensics didn't work for him, he'd become an English teacher? Lennon scoffed. Of course things would work. They'd worked out in the past, hadn't they? The door creaked open and Lennon's mother stood in the doorway, smiling sadly. She was a woman of about five feet, seven inches and had a stouter build, almost the complete opposite of her son.

"My baby boy, going to college," she cooed, walking toward him. Lennon rolled his eyes slightly but couldn't fight back a smile. "My little baby Lenny..."

"Mom...I'm not a kid anymore," he whined, blushing slightly. Thank God no one was there to see him in that state. Especially Chris. Damn, he blushed a brighter red than a tomato when Chris was around.

"Mm...you're right," she murmured, pretending to force herself to stay strong. "Does the strong, grown-up need help carrying his luggage?" Len sighed softly and chuckled, shoving the book he held in his hands into a backpack nearby.

"That'd be nice," he replied, grabbing as many bags as he could before making his way downstairs, his mom trailing behind. He waited by the door for a bit, hoping his dad would say goodbye or something. But he really hasn't spoken to the man since he'd come out of the closet in sophomore year. "Bye Dad!" he yelled anyway, sighing as he walked outside. Lennon smiled broadly as he saw Ava's familiar Jeep. In the driveway sat his own F-150, his dad'd old truck. "Hey there, girly," he teased, placing his suitcases in the bed of the truck and the backpack in the middle row of the pick-up. "How're you?"

Cameron had just hopped out the shower and wrapped a towel around herself, when she got a text from her lovely girlfriend.

Packing up the jeep now, will meet everyone at Lens place.

She instantly replied back as she walked to her closet to pick out an outfit.

To:Ava
From: Cammie
On my way! CANT WAIT!

She sent it and looked through her closet. Since most of her clothes were packed she decided to wear her orange shirt and her black skinny jeans.. Once she got that on she took the time to color her nails orange and give herself black eye shadow with some hints of orange in it. She went to her jewelry box and grabbed her black feathered earrings and put them on. When Cammie finished she looked in the mirror and smiled at her reflection. "Cam! We have to go. How long does it take to pack girl things." She rolled her eyes. "Give me a minute will ya!" She yelled and slipped on her orange converse and went downstairs with her suitcases. Cam looked at Chris expectantly. "Well aren't you gonna help me?" She exclaimed as she made her way to her favorite car, the Hummer.

Cameron smiled when Chris took her bags "AWWWWWW! Feeling the love bro!" She squealed but he just ignored her. "Mom's gonna take pictures anyways!" She yelled and their mom can=me just in time. She laughed at Chris who obviously didn't want to take pictures. "Wasn't gonna get out of it Chris." She said and posed for the picture. Chris grew annoyed and stopped the little photo shoot they were having. She rolled her eyes. "Fine let's go. Bye mom and dad!" She yelled and went to the passenger side of the hummer. She strapped her seat belt and leaned her head against the window growing more excited every moment. When they drove up next to Ava's jeep Lennie was already pumped to see them, Chris to be exact. "Hi to you to Lennie." She said playfully being sarcastic. She got out the car and stretched. She went to Ava's jeep and got in. She hugged Ava lovingly. "Hi." She purred in Ava's ear so the others couldn't hear.

Chris was happy to get out of the house. It seemed like they were never going to leave. Once they got to Len's house, Cam got out of the car said hi to everyone and got in the car with Ava. "I would love to get your stuff Cam." He said sarcastically. He shook his head and got out of the car. He opened the trunk and pulled Cam's stuff out of it. She had more things than was necessary.

Once her stuff was out of the car he went over to his loving boyfriend. He pulled him in a loving embrace and then kissed his cheek. "Hi my love." He said in his ear. He then waved hello to his second mother. He was very close to Lennie's family just like he was close to his. "Oh. My mom says hi and she will be sending your mother pictures very soon." He mentioned to Len.

Of course Ava decided to rush them. "Damn it Ava. Don't rush us." Even though they had a whole car ride together, this is the last time he would see his other mother. He was going to take all the time he needed.

Cammie couldn't help but giggle and blush red when Ava kissed her cheek. She turned back to Chris and Lenny and rolled her eyes. "Come on lovebirds were going to go pick up Benny." Cammie turned back around and reached over Ava to push the trunk button. after she successfully pushed the button she got of Ava and went to get her bags that were on the floor behind Ava's car. She lifted the trunk up and put her suitcases in so they would fit. "To Benny's house!" She chanted and went back to the front of the car.

Benny stuffed the last pair of denim jeans into his suitcase, and pushed the zip closed, almost breaking it in the process. He finally gave up and decided that the bag would have to stay half open, and hope that nothing would fall out. He sighed and raked a hand through his straightened, black, floppy mess of hair just as his phone beeped. A quick glanced told him it was Ava.

A mixture of excitement and nerves filled him, creating a butterfly sensation in his stomach.

To: Ava
Just leaving the house now! Don't leave without me!(;

He grabbed his heavy, overly-filled suitcase and dragged it out of his room, but not before giving himself a once over in the mirror. He was wearing a black t-shirt with white stripes and some black skinny jeans. He fixed his fringe before making his way down the stairs and out the door, yelling, "Bye, Mum!" as he walked out of the door, trying to avoid the awkward farewell if he were to stay any longer.

Which failed miserably when he noticed that his beloved, second hand car wasn't sitting in the drive-way, and remembered that his Dad had brought it to the garage after it had broken down last night. Meaning that his Mum would have to-

A very red-faced woman walked out of the house, tears streaming down her face but smiling. "We'll miss you," she said, walking over to him. "Do have your phone charger? And your laptop? And all your clo-"
"Yes, Mum," a very impatient Benny rolled his eyes. "Can you drive me to Len's house?"

Her eyes widened before she realized what she said, and she wiped her eyes. "What? Oh, yes. Of course. I better go tell Mary that she'll be alone for a while." It seemed that was unnecessary, though, as just then Mary walked over to the door.
"Can I get your room when you're gone?" she asked, biting into a mars bar. Benny scowled at her. "No."

Mary sighed and rolled her eyes dramatically. Bye, Bejamin," she said, smiling. [color-#308014]"Miss you."[/color]
"I'll miss you too," he grinned, before complaining to his mother how he was going to be late. She sighed but got in the car, telling Mary she would be back in five minutes. Benny got in beside her, stuffing his suitcase in the boot.

The car pulled up outside Len's house, to reveal that of course he was the last one there. Late again. Well, that was Benny for you. He practically ran out of the car and over to the boot, throwing the suitcase onto the ground.
"Bye, Mum!" he yelled, an indication for her to leave, as he speed-walked over to where his friends were waiting.
"Are you sure-"
"Yes! Now, bye!"
His mother finally took the hint and drove away. Benny sighed and dragged his suitcase sluggishly behind him.

"Sorry I'm late," he said, blushing slightly. It was just then that he noticed Ava driving off, obviously making her way to his house, as it was the only one down that lane. "Hey! Wait! Ava!" he started yelling, dropping his suitcase and jogging after the car, waving his arms frantically. "I'm here! Wait up! Stop the jeep!"

Cammie sighed when Ava asked if they could talk. She knew it was going to be about their relationship. She just wasn't ready to open up to the world and she wasn't going to talk about it either. Last time they talked about it, they were mad at each other for a week. She sighed in relief when Benny came. Now Cammie didn't have to go through the car ride alone. Cammie rolled down the window and stuck her head and waved at Benny. "What's up Benny!" She smiled glad he could make it on time.

Ava parked the jeep and got out, laughing her head off. Benny slowly sped down to a halt, sighing as he noticed that she was recording.
"Hey Benny that was priceless! We were just heading to your place," she said, walking over to him. She was still recording. "Good we packed most of the stuff in the uhaul yesterday." Benny turned to the camera, shaking his head in mock disapproval.
"I texted her asking for her not to go without me. And what does she do? Go without me!" he joked, talking to the camera. Ava started joging over to his suitcase and picked it up with apparent ease,which either meant that Ava was seriously strong or Benny was extremely weak. Probably both.

She stuffed his suitcase in the back of the jeep before putting an arm around his shoulder. "C'mon lets get going Benny." Benny gave one quick, sharp nod as she made her way over to the the drivers seat. The purr of an engine told him that Len had driven up behind him.
""You're tardy, Benny!" he teased, grinning. "I'll see you guys in New York." Benny just shrugged, before waving his friend a goodbye.

Benny was walking over to the jeep when Cammy stuck her head out of the window. "What's up Benny!" she yelled, smiling. Benny blushed slightly, before smiling at her. He walked over to the car as he spoke, "Good, I won't be alone in a car ride with Ava. I don't think I could stand it if it was just us, she'd be teasing me and playing that stupid video of me running up to the car over and over again." He chuckled lightly at the memory as he hopped into the car and slammed the door shut. "I'll have to delete that video, somehow." He fastened his seatbelt and waited.

I was playing with some dying tulips, when I heard Ava pick out the flowers. "It sounds great. Oh, can we get some sunflowers too?" I had to ask, as I had seen some very healthy looking ones hidden behind the door. I ran over and picked a couple up to show her. "Free sunflower seeds." I laughed again, and it almost came out a giggle. Then I started moving towards the cash register, as a way to entice her to get them. "What do you say?"

Laughing I jumped out of the car, then looked over at the building. The fits of laughter just started coming again. "Who . . . Puts . . . A . . . Male . . . Guard . . . At a lesbian club?" I gasped out in between laughter. When I calmed down, I recomposed myself. Then taking Ava's hand, I led her over there, and my act began. "Hello, sir." I said looking at him not quite with intrest, but something there. HE of course reached his hand out and prevented us from going in. "Oh come on now. Now Mama was a good christian woman, and would want me to tell the truth. So I am telling you I am old enough to go in there, and so is my friend." He still didn't budge so I resorted to Plan B. "Fine I guess I will just have to do this then." I turned to Ava and pleaded with her to trust, and forgive, me. Then I kissed her. Just like the old man a couple years ago, he ran off holding his crotch. I just laughed and pulled Ava inside. "I am so sorry about that Ava, its the only thing I could think to do."

"This isn't like your regular argument, this had venn happening like, constantly and it's all because....because of me." Benny shook his head lightly.
"I might not know what the argument is about, but I know that there has to be at least two sides in an argument," he said.
"I thought it was impossible to separate us too, but now it's not. God, I must be such a complainer for dumping all my problems on you like that Ben Ben."
"It's not complaining, it's letting your feelings out. Everyone has to do it once in a while," he replied, before adding, "It's obviously bothering you a lot, so you should probably talk about it with Ava. I can get us a taxi and we can go find Ava, or wait until she comes back. I can leave the room while your talking of course, or just not come with you." Benny figured that the two girls would probably want a little privacy, and Benny standing awkwardly in the background was not going to help them make up.

I watched Ava take her drinks and start on her major buzz. As she danced away I laughed some more. "This girl is going to kill me." I mumbled, turning to the bartender. I got a few shots and downed them, not feeling the affect yet. I was on my sixth shot, when I heard Ava. I turned around and looked for her, downing the shot. I was starting to get my own buzz. Normally I would have respected that Ava had a girlfriend, but right then I was getting drunk and I was becoming the old Delia. THe old Delia didn't care what she did or who she hurt, she just did what pleased her.The old Delia mixed with the new Delia, making me go looking for Ava to have some fun. When I found her I was not happy to see hands al over her. "Ladies, back off of my date." I told the girls touching her. They groaned and removed themselves from her, a few reluctant but going when I threatened them. Onces they were gone, I took their place. Dancing with Ava was, for the lack of a better word, amazing. I saw a girl walking by with a shot and took another one, the old Delia growing stronger. THe stronger she grew, the closer I got to Ava.

As Ava came closer to me, I moved closer to her. When she whispered in my ear, I felt shivers go through my body. "I cant help but look good when I have something so beautiful so close." I whispered back to her. I could feel the alcohol taking over. I was transported to a whole new world, when I was dancing with Ava. I could still feel some of the old Delia, but it seemed like the two merging together made a whole new Delia. I liked this new Delia. She knew what she wanted and she was going for it, but she wasn't going to hurt what she wanted. It might have been the alcohol, but I like to think it was Ava. Of course I wouldn't have said that then. At that moment, pushed up against Ava, I decided I was going to make Ava mine, and only mine. I leaned in closer to her ear, and told her exactly that. "Ava, I want you. I want you everyday, for the rest of my life." Then the reasonable me took over, and I pulled away. "But I cant. You are that other girls."
