Post-Shattering

Name : New Name Player Character choose to take upon starting in the new world.

Species : Race or species. If needed describe species below.

Following : Pick one of the following choices. This choice will partially define the character.
Person of Science, able to continue to develop technology and science. Limited use in magic, able to learn and understand science easily. Magic is hard to understand and use actively. Can use magical devices. Cannot use advanced “techniques”. Primarily humans, select elves, gnomes, select beast tribes, etherals and other intelligent races and species.
Person of Magic, able to use and command magic. Science is hard to understand the ideas and methods of. Can use very basic items of science. Can use “techniques”. Primarily elves, gnomes, dwarves, humans and other mythical and magical races.
Person of Simplicity, able to use most technology if not understand it. Able to use basic magics. Able to use and easily master basic “techniques”. Typically smart, but basic person, seeks simple life, maybe to settle down or just wants adventure. Primarily beast tribes.
Person of Magi-tech, able to use magic and science together, but vastly limited. Magic and Science do not work hand in hand, but Person of Magi-tech can find ways to make things work with varying results and improve on both magic and science. Always over thinks things. Person of Power, able to smell power in its many forms and track it, with a hunger for more. Those with good morals can learn to control and gather power to give it back to others at the cost of minor sickness to themselves. Can use magic. Can Master most “techniques”. Heavily resilient and durable.
Person of Death, a blurred figure that is always almost dead. The closer to death the more powerful they get. Able to use necromancy naturally, but unable to use holy magics. Healing magic are easy to master with control over life and death magic, but cannot bring back the dead back to life. Can weakly see how close one is to dying, feeds on souls of the dead. Always cloaked in shadows. Can use basic technology. Can use varied “techniques”. Easy to be repelled with holy magics. Easy to banished from temples and holy sites. Considered lowly and evil by all regardless of who they are. Easy to be hired by evil powers.
Person of Physical Actions, a person without the use magic, but able to use “techniques” easily and master many of them. They typically have some form of natural magical resistance as well as resistance to poisons and disease. While they can use and understand technology, they don't find a natural talent with it like People of Science. Able to master “techniques” so well, they are more hand to hand fighters and have very advanced reflexes.
Person of Words, a person who uses words as weapons above all else. Although small time spell casters, they primarily use speech and bluffs to get their way, able to maintain certain kind of looks easily, from high and mighty, to borderline psychotic, to unreadable. Although they can be great in combat, they are at home on a battlefield of words.

I've got no choice... I've just got to approve Mr. Red over here. I see a wild card and if there is something that will turn the tables at anytime... its Mr. Red Eudard. Please feel free to post. How ever, as he is a true ancient, I will impose a single point of minor restriction upon him. Ancients are in a way shattered themselves. Such a delicate form of magic will not work so much as intended and will take much more power then usual to weaponize the blood of an ancient living or dead. This however works both ways for Mr. Red. While he cannot properly use Ancient blood at this time for his magics, to consume it, he will learn more of it, gain temporary boosts in power and magic, and learn a little bit of history from that blood on a whole, such things as how dark and powerful the shattering Event really was. Please go ahead and begin your posts to meet the party... or stalk them...

Alrighty, got my first post up. In addition I'll provide a brief legend on my different font alterations.

Bold Text is used for characters who aren't the focus of my posts.
Italics Are used to separate thoughts from spoken words.
Underlines Are used to demonstrate words that are written down as opposed to being spoken. When paired with Bold however they are used to denote a change of scene.

That's about it. Figured I'd mention in case there might of been some confusion caused by this.

So... before I go into my next post, I have one of three ideas right now. The first two are mostly battle oriented. Clearly there will be a receiving station for the train to dock at once we pass through the chasm. This station can be crusader owned and operated, or it could be a third party.

Idea 1 is that passing through to the smallish desert world, the station is an enclosed station. This means that when Alexia and the others pass through, Alexia heading the way with her 220 MPH plus free fall (average terminal velocity for an adult human is 122 MPH for reference by the way), she'll make quite the impact on the far end of the station. This can lead to the owners, in this case crusaders of the 16th order (no one major, just very desert themed order and well armed), going into all out attack mode and resulting in a larger much more open battle while the group tries to get out and find another chasm to head through. This will result in a detailed and heavily outnumbered combat situation during the team can show Alexia their combat prowess and make a valid argument for staying at her side for her personal war against the Crusaders early on. After the fight, which will be more hit and run to get out of dodge and beat the train which will have reinforcements upon it, the party will be in for a possible quick trip to one of Alexia's or possibly Sam's safe house like locations.

Idea 2, also a combat situation, is that after the fall and landing, also in an enclosed station, the party is able to make a very quick getaway, but instead of a large scale heavy numbers fight, the party will encounter a single or perhaps pair of high threat level foes. My ideas for this so far include a True Dragon, Sand Worm(s) about the side of the empire stat building, thinner but much longer of course, or a Crusader Armed Forces Leader that gives chase. In this scenario, the party will be focused much more on co-op combat and trying to deal with the larger threat while still trying to get away. Like before however, the end result will be similar, a chance to prove combat prowess and earn a place at Alexia's side for her personal war. Additionally the party will be heading to a safe house location before doing a larger talk about things.

Idea 3 is something different. The party will make a very quick and successful getaway, out racing the train and making a fast exit once on the other side of the chasm into the desert world. A sand storm or similar event will let them vanish quickly, and result in them making a quick clean getaway. The idea here is to advance much more quickly to a point where the party will be given a chance to talk properly. In this idea, Holo, my secondary character will also be making her appearance and can offer a ride to the party once they jump through another chasm and escape, and her cart will serve as the center of peace and quite allowing them all to talk.

I am curious to see which idea you all have thoughts on for this and I am still open to other suggestions as well. The train fight is mostly just stalling for time and it will be quick, doubly so as the free fall, while still long, will not exactly be ideal for conversation during the event. The chasm is 800 miles long, and will still take at least 3 hours to cross, but falling at those speeds in free fall, conversations don't work well.
