Screaming into life with the birth of the universes, the Void is a manifestation of the incomprehensible emptiness, the nothingness that exists within, without and the beyond of all time. It is a force of insatiable hunger, waiting through the eons until its “masters” and “the old ones” mark the final time of undoing.
To be a mortal or a being foreign to the Void and caressed by this power is to suffer an excruciating…unbearable glimpse of everlasting unreality, enough to shatter even the strongest mind and resolution. Denizens and Dwellers of the Void are construct creatures, sometimes birthed or crafted by the ‘Old Ones’- the worst abominations of nightmare and pure darkness.
Even those of the lowest construct (the Spawn) despite limited sentience are tasked with a singular purpose… to usher in total oblivion across every universe, every galaxy, every world, both past and the future.
THE VOIDBORN
Although the Void has born countless atrocities and abominations, no two horrors are exactly the same. Their otherworldly forms are as varied as they are terrifying; yet all are driven by the undying ravenous desires to kill, consume and conquer all 'living' things with their own decadent craving and pulsing dark energies relentlessly driving them onward. However they also rapidly adapt to any given environment; but the environment (especially planar) is immediately affected by their presence.
THE TOUCH [WARP] OF THE VOID
Over a millennia and through the epoch of time, innumerable mortals, demons, Gods, beings of omnipotence and those simply seeking to manipulate and harness the energies, or have answered the Void's call, or been dragged through the immense tapestries of its dark spaces against their will/ or even by their very own will to try and harness its power have not survived the encounter- and those who have somehow managed to crawl from it's bowels and survive the encounter. Not a single one has returned physically, mentally and emotionally unchanged from the experience, warped by the dreadful screams of cruel madness shrieking throughout the eldritch parasitic cosmos which is full of colossal horrors and unspeakable nightmarish manifestations.
