Here is where I want ooc discussions about the plot, characters, or any other info related to "The World of gavilla". Also all characters are subject to approval so first post them here and I will look them over. Any questions are also welcome.

Here is some more character info
Magic – mainly based on the elements but use your imagination. Here are the basic ones…
Fire- power /control over fire, produce fire, mesmerize someone, control them (depends on mind power)
Water-control and create water, underwater breathing, walk on water, scry, healing
Wind- control and create wind, fly, far speak (send speech on the wind)
Earth- make plants grow and control them, move earth (create fissures, earthquakes)
Light- create light, control light, use it to create illusions, resurrection of dead, turn undead, detect evil, healing
Dark- control and create darkness, use chaotic forces as a weapon, control dead dolls
Mind- these are varied and some people only have one or two of these powers. You can not learn these you are born with them but you can learn to improve what you already have. Mind control/ telepathy, telekinesis; see the future/past/ present
All of these have some way to transport, use imagination
Characters
There are many different races that you can be in this game and different nationalities. A few examples of races …
Basic and Magic races
There are many different groups very similar to those we have on earth but like they were in medieval times but there are some differences.
The Greeks- this is like they truly were in it’s hey-day and in the same location but they are sort of a combination of Greece and Rome together, so they have an emperor and currently the emperor is Yurates the third.
The Land of the rising sun, China- Also has an emperor or empress or both. Today it is ruled by their eminences Lei Win and Chai Sai. China rules over Taiwan and all the smaller regions surrounding the main country.
Japan- This country is ruled by warlords who hire ninjas and samurai to police their different holdings. This includes Korea and surrounding areas.
Egypt- Again is ruled by a pharaoh who can be male or female or both together. At this time it is ruled by Rashida.
Spain, England, and France- Each has both a King and Queen and these three countries are constantly fighting or allying with each other to battle one of the other countries.
(Similar ideas for the other countries I have not mentioned)
Don’t forget Vikings, werewolves, and vampires do exist though because of magic and strength the older ones are immune to things like sun, holy relics, and garlic – those will often kill a younger vampire though.
Atlantis also exists hidden in the Mediterranean and only natives know how to find it.
America
Native American’s- are as they were in the Wild West or right before. Strong and virile and with a strong mystical connection. Many in this group are born shape changers.
There are many Kingdoms scattered over north and South America. Crix is roughly centered and is kind of the governing force for much of North America. Though there are some rival kingdoms or kingdoms that are neutral. There are also the wandering gypsies and the Amazons and the druids.
The magic races try to stay away from civilization. For example Dragons live in mountains and caves. Shape-shifters (cats, wolves, other) Prefer deep woods or swamps. Dwarfs also like caves but do have villages run by a council that are located on many continents. Halflings are sometimes hermits but do often live in the main cities. Light elves are everywhere. Some are druidic and live in forests and others live in huge fantastical cities. One such city is the City of Gershawn; it is one of the few Elvin cities that welcomes scholars from all over to study in their well known universities and libraries. Dark elves tend to live secretively and not many of their cities are easy to find.

Gender- male
Race- 1/3 dragon 2/3 human
Age- 17
Fighting style/powers- knows various martial arts including archery and sword fighting but his main focus is his magic and sword fighting. He mainly has fire type magic but can use light, dark, and wind magic. He also has many mind powers because of his draconian heritage.

Job- he is a scribe who lives and works at the library in Gershawn
Personality/history- He was born in Atlantis but was brought to Gershawn when he was only two. He learned the ancient language young and started helping his father in the library when he was only five. He is very smart and confident in his fighting and knowledge and knows he is good looking. He is serious most of the time and has a strong sense of duty and honor. He does know how to be charming and is well versed in the courtly dances and politics. He knows how to tease but seldom shows his playful side in public.

Appearance- He is six foot tall, lean and muscular. He has chin length wavy black hair and blue eyes. He can transform into a dragon, although it takes a lot of magic for him to do. As a Dragon he is Ten feet long and shimmering scales of sapphire blue and Silvery blue eyes.

Gender- Female
Race- 1/3 dragon 2/3 Elf
Age- 10

Description:
Exactly like this but without the horns and jewelery.


She is an elf/dragon born from magic. She is only 10 old but she will fight if she has too. She does not have wings and can not fly however she does have dragon hands and feet which allow her to have an easier grip on surfaces and her tail is helpful for balancing on small surfaces. Her clothes were a keepsake from her mother. Her skin is naturally dark colored, she inherited this from her father who was a black dragon and leader of a small clan of dragons. However the majority of her was inherited from her Elf mother including her deep and attractive beauty. While she hasn't fleshed out yet she enjoys playing with the random traveler who finds her and becomes transfixed by her cuteness. Her eyes are a deep amber color but they look sad normally. She has a large scar on her back that goes diagonal along her back.

She is wanderer and has no real belongings. She has however inherited a rather strong magical talent from her mother and father but she does not know how to harness this energy She has learned some archaic forms of dragon spells but these are mainly for strengthening her body for a short period of time. She also knows some limited healing magic and can heal small cuts and gashes. Her eyesight is exceptionally good as she has dragon eyes. Her hearing is as well equally good. Her feet and hands allow her to grip things better, run faster and longer then others, and overall have a greater stamina. However her appetite is massive. She is not restricted to meat however like her father was. Her mother was a vegetarian and so she will a lot of time just eating plants as she goes. This has resulted in her growth being stunted however. She is short standing at only 4 ft tall and weighing only 86 pounds.

Personality:
She is a shy lonely girl. Quiet and without any friends. She avoids populated areas as she is usually driven out due to the fear many people have for dragons. Being part dragon just makes it worse. She is easy to get along with and nice but hard to get close to. She is cautious to an extreme but is trusting to those close to her. She is overly caring and has been known to nurse hurt animals or even once a person back to health if needed. She curses herself and blames herself for being hated and causing fear in everyone. She is treated like a demon by many others but all she wants is a friend. Rejected by intelligent beings and even her parent races she wonders alone in the world. She enjoys stalking travelers as they walk along the roads. As a result she has picked up bits and pieces of the human language but she can not speak it very well. She is fluent in the language of dragons however as it is her mother tongue.

History:
Born from both a physical relationship and magic by a dragon father and elf mother. Her mother died in childbirth and she was raised by her father and his dragon clan. At the age of 7 her clan was killed by a mercenary troupe and she herself almost died. A broadsword took her in the back and sliced her from shoulder to waist as she was running. Her father used up the last of his power to save her life. The magic was archaic and quickly cast resulting in only half healing the wound. Her life was saved but she retains a large scar from the incident. She does not care much for it but does not like to say how she got it. She raised herself afterwords wondering from place to place. She learned to stay away from cities and towns after being chased out of several and then was rejected by her own dragon race when she ran into another clan. This is what forced her to believe she was alone in the world and she broke down. She later recovered but is now very shy and meek. her English is horrible as she has never had to speak anything but the language of dragons before. She likes to stalk people on roads to try and learn the human language. She believes if she can speak with them then maybe she can find who own special someone.

She is so uber cute I love it but am not sure how she will fair in a group, fighting but am willing to see. I am not sure if I have to formerly press something to let you in but go ahead and register her as a game character. Tell me if I need to do anything else, or if there are problems or questions. It might be a while before the actual rp starts, I want a few more people first.

She will mainly be a healer I think. She can use her claws as a weapon but due to her form any armor she has or weapons is going to have to be specially made. She can be a great character. Has a large magic potential as well as a great close combat skill with her increased stanima, speed, and senses. Just she is well.... A newbie at the moment XD

Name- Yuri "Blaze" Saigo Honoo
Gender- Male
Race- Human (Half Japanese, Half Australian.)
Age- 32
Fighting style/powers- Focused completely on blade arts.

Dual swords- from age five to twelve in Japan he learned the how to use two swords more effectively than one, taught by his father.
-Ichiryuu- A katana with the Kanji for luck inscribed in the base of the blade. Has a chain extending from the hilt that connects to a cross. This sword was his father's.
-Chance- An ornate saber with flowers etched into the hilt guard. Has a chain that extends into a star and crescent. Found the sword by chance.

Knives - began to learn how to accurately throw knives in Japan, but perfected it in the Army. Also learned in the army precisely how to control and use a knife of any size.
-Ten mix-matched throwing knives assorted in holsters on both thighs, five per side.
-Military Issue Combat knife and a curved knife with a polished wood handle both located in the small of his back.
-Two stiletto knives hidden under each bracer of both arms
-Rustic hunting knife with the handle exposed in the right boot.

Job- A discharged Army Lieutenant. "Second in command" at the time. Apprentice to a smith at one point.

History-
Yuri was born to a Japanese Samurai and an Australian woman. he was born in Japan, but moved to his mother's country of Australia when he was twelve. In Japan he began to train to become a Samurai after his father, even learned the same type of sword fighting as his father (See above). His father also taught him the importance of "Bushido" The Way of the Warrior. This instilled values like loyalty and honor into him. However, no amount of honor could save his father from a Ronin, a rogue samurai, who killed his father and broke one of his swords. After this incident his mother took him from Japan to Australia, taking with her the unbroken sword of his father, Ichiryuu.

In Australia, life was much more dangerous and very different. He had to learn a new language and trade. Here, he apprenticed to a smith at age fourteen to help support the failing health of his mother. Three years later at seventeen his mother died. Grief stricken, he enlisted in the Australian army. He wished for death in the army, hoping a combatant would slay him. However, because of Bushido, he would not allow his self to die willingly. He had to die facing a stronger opponent. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on the time, he could not be killed because of the samurai training and smith working. He was a distinguished war veteran at twenty-five, but refused to leave. At this point his grief was relieved and he was offered a spot on a new exclusive black ops team. The squad was called Zulu Company and consisted of himself and four others.

The four squad mates was as follows:
Jack "Blackjack" Allawa - an Aboriginal - age 43 (Codename Zulu 1-1)
Martin "Hawkeye" Harrison - A Native American - age 24 (Codename Zulu 1-5)
Isabelle "Angel" Llorona - A Spanish Woman - age 28 (Codename Zulu 1-3)
Daniel "Mick" Nielsen - A Briton - age 35 (Codename Zulu 1-4)

These four was his new family. A rough dysfunctional family, but still. The years of grief and Zulu company eroded Yuri's Bushido. He was still Honorable (sort of), Loyal (To Zulu company), and still fought with a fearless determination. Because of his fiery passion, he earned the nickname Blaze. Zulu company was full of drinkers, smokers, and gamblers which Yuri settled into quite nicely.

Soon, a chain of command appeared. Blackjack was the Captain, Blaze the Lieutenant, Angel the Sargent, and both Mick and Hawkeye were corporals. Zulu always had the toughest missions and one day an incident occurred. Yuri was the only survivor and just barely. He was scarred down his right eye, splitting the eyebrow in two, but keeping the eyeball relatively unharmed. His back is tremendously scarred as is his arms. He never talks about what happened even when stone cold drunk. He just came back from the mission with his four comrades dog tags around his neck and left the army with them. He has been a drifter ever since.


Personality- No fear, always pushing things to the limit, like alcohol levels and most importantly combat. When not found in a bar he can be a bit quiet and reserved. When found in a bar or after a visit he is talkative and ready to party and gamble. Such as it is he is always found in the middle ground, pleasant and kind. He always avoids a question about his past and tends to not make close friends, seeing how they always tend to die. The many years in the army taught him also to be wary, though he usually doesn't let it show. He also doesn't trust magic users much, wanting to allow his wounds to heal naturally. Plus, he never met a mage with a remedy for a hangover. Also, living in Australia for the better part of his life, he managed to get a light Australian accent.

Appearance-
His face is drawn and sharp with brown hair and eyes. The right eye has the scar splitting the eyebrow. He has a rough brown beard. Bodily, he is strong and wiry.

He wears a red scarf around his neck that can double as a head wrap when time needs it. Under the red scarf is a crimson cloak that can wrap around Yuri to protect him from the elements, like those experienced in the "Outback", although most of the time he wears it as a cape. Under the cloak he wears a sleeveless black shirt that just fits him. As a belt he wears a red sash that wraps around the waist to hold the loose pants he wears. On the sash, there is a silver flask hanging in with a rawhide leather strap. On top of the shirt, he wears a diamond shaped armor piece where his heart is in a sort of harness. On his back, attached to the harness, there is a small bag that holds things like a needle and thread, bandages, and flint

His pants are of a dark blue denim that clings loosely on the waist. His boots are black and bare with the rustic knife visible in the right. On his hands he wears black fingerless gloves with pieces of iron armor protecting the knuckles and fore hand. The armor forms up at the wrist then continues to metal bracers. The bracers are unadorned. However there is a ridge that raises slight from the arm and cuts off into the bracer, this houses his hidden stiletto knives with the handles showing in the cut. The bracers go to below the bend in the arm, which then is followed by a thin black sleeve past the elbow.

Under the shirt on Yuri's bare skin there is a faded tattoo where his heart would be. The tattoo is a upside down spade, so that it looks like a heart with a nail in it. Under the Spade there is two words written in Script which says "For Luck." On this upper right arm there is a tattoo of tribal barbs wrapping around the arm to form a bracelet.

But literally it should mean Lily, from what I read. So his entire name should translate to "Lily of the Last Flame."

Race: Is from Atlantis...I think it would be called an Atlantian.
Age: 16
Fighting Style/Powers: When she does defend herself she simply uses magic. She mainly uses water type but can use earth and verry little mind based magic.
Job: no official job but does work as a healer/herbist.
Personality/history: She was born and raised in Atlantis, she knows its location though she will never tell. She is fluent in her home language and feels most comfortable when speaking in that language. She isn't shy but she does prefer to remain silent. She is described as emotionless and inhuman because of her refusal to talk. Those who have spoken to her in her own language knows she has wisdom beyond her years and they know she is a benevolent and happy spirit.

wow I am so impressed so far. I didn't realise until after I posted this thread that there was a place to apply for your character so from now on just add your character there and I will check it out and probably approve it. Both the newcomers here are approved so please add your character to the character section. From now on this will mostly be to introduce yourself and talk about the story, plot, and how the characters will interact. If you still want to also post the characters here you can I don't know if the players can see other's characters in that section or not, I am still learning about the site. It looks like things will be pretty interesting and I look forward to see how everyone will interact. I love outcasts, they usually can get along better with each other than they can "normal" people. I myself am an outcast in real life but hey now I fit in here so I am glad.

I am a thirty year old married woman with a three year old girl and a three month old boy as of 4/10/2010. I love fantasy and sci fi I am a trekkie and I love star Wars (the original three), Xena, and yes I like the Twilight series but I am not obsessed with it. I love drama both acting or watching plays especially classics like Jane Austin and Shakespear. I love reading and writing fantasy and sci fi, but mainly fantasy. I love singing and dancing, I dislike opera, country, and most rap and heavy metal. I am an anime and manga freak, some faves are Mysterious Play, Bleach, Sailor moon (so sue me I know it is a little childish), Cowboy bepop, El Hazard and many others. I love looking at and making art. I have always loved reading and rp is a way to be a part of a living story and be more than who I am in regular life and that feeds my love for playacting and fantasy. I look forward to meeting other like minded people and enjoying my time here.

I was going to continue this in my previous post but once you hit four hundred words the screen keeps jumping to the top and won't let you see what you are typing. I would keep scrolling down but it won't stay where I am typing. That is really annoying. Anyway I know some of what I will say is said above but I thought this next bit might be a fun way for rpers to get to know each other.
In rp form here is my "character sheet"

name- Shanna
age- thirty
job- mother/ homeaker
appearance- five foot two with short light brown hair (almost boyish in cut) and blue eyes. Curvy figure, a little overweight but it isn't immedietly noticable.
history- born in Charleston, South Caralina (can't spell and doesn't seem to be a spell check here that I know of.) Now I live in Indiana on the same property as my mother, but in a different building (a trailer). I was in my school choir in HIgh school and performed as chorus and small parts in the musicals we did. I also did several plays for my community theater. Through the "Library of Poetry" I published a few poems but didn't buy the books, I doubt anyone but the people who did buy those will see the poems. I have a myspace, webook, mangafox, deviantart, mangapug, smackjeeves, and yahoo account. all usually under the name GaiaDarkstar, except yahoo, so check me out if you visit any of those sites.

Personality- One word, Quirky (sp?). Anyway most people think I am weird. I am straightforward, friendly but a little shy til I get to know you. I can be really blunt and sometimes too honest but I don't lie. I am passionate about a lot of things, especially my beliefs, don't worry will only talk about religion if others ask. I love my kids even if they drive me crazy sometimes. I am a little self centered though wich means I don't often notice when others need help and I like to talk about myself. lol, told you I was honest.

history- I am currently living in Memphis Tennessee, were about to move to Madison Wisconsin. Though I was born in New York (the city) and grew up in Chicago. I live with my parents and my sister and I am an insane anime addict. Other then that though I do like gaming and reading has always been my favorite past time. I also like strategy and am a bit of a history buff. AKA I'm one hell of a tom boy. I do not like wearing lots of clothes or pretty jewlery or make up. pretty much

just leave off the watch, the wording on the shirt, but keep the cross necklace :D

I love role playing things like this because I consider myself pretty creative and love to talk and share and tell stories.

As I need a place to rant at the moment you guys are stuck with it.....MY FREAKING AP TESTORS FORGOT ABOUT ME ;( I was supposed to take an AP test this morning and I walk in and they go. reaine reaine reaine. No we don't have a test for you, are you sure your on the list *Explodes* What the hell I was in the class >.< So then I had to to walk a mile back to school. in 90 degree weather and humid. Sweating the whole way....the hell. >.<

Personality- I am crazy. not insane XD though I sometimes to wish I had MPD :D I love to be cheery and lovable. I am a pessimist but I like to show optimism when I'm around others. It brightens the room and makes things fun :D As you can see i love to talk but I'm not necessarily a social butterfly either. I can normally control my emotions very well, I'm proud to say I've only ever lost it once. And that kid apologized the next day and never bothered me again cause I beat the crap out of him XD. I love to read about fantasy and sci-fi but I also love romance stories. When it comes to romance stories though I like taboo things. Not gay or anything like that but like Student X teacher and things generally considered taboo by society. I suppose it's cause these characters have to deal with a lot more crap then others and overcome it. So I can relate to them very well. When it comes to making stories however I prefer cute come back stories and such. Usually involving some sort of romance and usually with one if not both of the characters being scarred or lonely or something. And then overcoming all the impossibilities and obstacles in front of them and finding happiness. This is why most of my characters yo uwill ever see me RP will generally be young and damaged in some way. I find these characters much deeper then others and more easily made. Plus these characters better reflect reality.

I am full of polar opposites, I can be calm yet be really hyper at the same time or annoyed yet laughing. I love to try and relate with others and make them smile. But i am not the class clown or anything. Ahh I could keep going but I think I'll stop going on and on in circles XD

Other: Pretty much wierd and synical...i am involved in tennis (varsity) drama (4 productions in two years) and I happen to be an aspiring artist (Manga) and writer (Fiction/Non-fiction.) That is all I feel comfortable posting so please...don't judge me.
