FIRST UPDATE
Below are two images. The first is a sample of what the college looks like, what you see is one of four courtyards and dorms. There's a fifth one for classes etc. (Quite a few classes are outside) The College isn't just a building, on the floating rock there is a dock (the kind you'd expect to see for boats), a market by the dock selling and trading alsorts of things from food to equipment and things you miss from down below, there are gardens and walks you can go on and there's a small village leading up hill to the college where teachers and various old students live.
The next image is of the first floating rock ever to be discovered and is known by the college as the Blossom tree. Obviously because a blossom tree is on it! Like i said in a post- the floating island is chained to the muddy foundations beneath the college to keep it from wondering off.
