Information on Big/Littles

So I bet many of you are wondering what the Big/Little thing is all about. Well here is a little bit of info on the Big/Little mentoring:

Each Pledge(new member) which are called a little is given a Big sister/brother that will be their mentor through out their new member period. Bigs are usually juniors or seniors of the House. This bond usually remains even after the initiation of the new member.

So this is how the RP is going to be set out so PLEASE READ.

Because there are so many characters in this, we've worked out a way for it to work out.

As you'll see, there's various Areas. Eg. "Theta house, Alpha house, Beta house, Auditorium" etc. The RP is going to start with an announcement in the Auditorium by the principal. It is a compulsory meeting that everyone must attend. This is the opportunity for the leaders of each house have to introduce their house to the new students and gain pledges. After the Auditorium everyone is to go to their respective houses to prepare for the next 3 days of pledging.

TIME:

So in order for this to work, there's going to have to be a time schedule to keep all areas in sync. At the beginning of each day, Airey or I will announce "MORNING" followed by the date, in all the areas, which means that it is morning so each area is running by the same day and time making it easy to switch between areas.

During the middle of the day we will announce "AFTERNOON" followed by the date~ which will work same as morning.

At the end of each day we will announce "NIGHT" followed by the date, same thing as morning. If it is an awkward time to be switching to night time, your posts must be heading toward the direction of night time, ie, "Sally looked outside and saw it was starting to get dark..." etc etc. Same with morning and afternoon. Therefore we can treat this sort of like an RPG.

Pledging:

Okay, so how the pledging works is every year each house has a limited amount of spots in their houses to accept in new members. Alpha has one, Beta has one, Theta has one, Kappa has one, Zeta has 3 and Sigma has 3. But they have to put the new pledges through challenges to see who is suitable and who is not. That can be anything from a speed date, in which they have to quickly grab a date and meet them back at a table in a certain amount of time, to physical tests.~If out of ideas for challenges, you may discuss in the "Ideas" thread. It is primarily up to the leaders of each house to decide what to put the rushings through.

Each house has a day and night specifically put aside to do their pledging/challenges to give the rushings a chance to try for all the houses. During this time, all the other houses may do as they please (mingle in other areas or whatever). The pledging can take place anywhere but it is suggested that each house comes up with 3 challenges. A morning challenge, an afternoon and an evening challenge. The days go as followed:

~Day 1: Alpha and Beta pledging
~Day 2: Theta and Kappa pledging
~Day 3: Zeta and Sigma pledging

At the end of the challenges the members of the houses get to pick who has been accepted and who hasn't. They announce it at a dinner/dance at the end of the week. ~ it is suggested that all Rushings pledge for all houses because you are not guaranteed a spot in the house you want. If there is doubling up (2+ houses want one person) Airey and I will decide who goes where.

So hope fully, by the time the dinner rocks up, the leaders can all announce their new members smoothly.

After that, the new members will be paired with their "Big sisters" or "big brothers" and the role play will continue as normal still going by the whole "time" schedule.

First of all, thanks to those that have submitted their relations, it should prove to make things a little better during the RP.

2nd of all, could people please NOT POST IN "EARTH" during the rp, and only post in the area that your character is at. Thanks. =) of course you can switch areas but it is to avoid confusion. Just click on "PLACES", select your location and start posting. thanks.
