I'm assuming orcs are not a viable option for the party members? If they are, I would love to reserve one, but since I'm not sure about that I would like to reserve a banished, formerly murderous Rider of Rohan who has an anger-management problem. :3

@Pulse: That would be the shift in Cannon. For the purposes of the story, the Elves have consented and given us the rings for the purpose of diverting The Eye.

@Nightmaric_Angel: Absolutely, I see no issue with that. Go nuts. Uhhh..... I mean, no nuts? XD

@Anastasia's Arrow: Orcs are actually viable, but your probably not going to be liked. Then again, I'm making an ancient Oath-Bound Gondorian Shade, so who am I to talk? Just specify between Mordor Orcs or Tribal Orcs, and hopefully something that makes you definable from the other cannon fodder. This is going to be more interesting than I thought.

I also have a question.

I had created a character for a LOTR RP that never took off and I wanted to use her here. You mention in the rules that you didn't want Anime images. Did you mean anything drawn or just no Japanese Anime images? The character images that I have for my character are drawn quite realistically.

The character is Elven and Maiar in race, she is the protector of Mirkwood, known as the witch of the black forest. I'll copy a link to the current CS I have for her if you don't mind taking a glance at it just to see if she is acceptable.

Hrmmmmm, if it's alright, I think I'm going to stick with the Rider- Simply because I want to remain as true to the books as possible and all of my orc ideas at the moment involve things that would be untrue to the trilogy. :P Thank you for allowing me to do so, though! :D

@masato: The images are fine, it's the maiar and elf bit. I'm farely sure Maiar can't breed, let alone crossbreed. Now, I can see an elf with the blessing of a maiar to cast true magic, but a maiar of Mirkwood could have giant trees forming out of nowhere with a thought. Little much. That, and there can only be four maiar at one time. Gandalf, Saruman, and the twins. Now, as I siad I'm fine with warping it around so your elf has there blessing and can cast magic without incantations or rune writing, but I can't rightly grant you the power to MAKE an army of Ents. As much as Ents are awesome.

(If I recall, there is no Lizard-person race that inhabits Middle-Earth, but this way it not only makes my character original, but it also insures there will not be another Argonian character)(If my memory fails me and there is an Argonian lizard-person race, then I take back what I had said in the last parenthesis)

I was thinking of someone likle bilbo, a human noble that has never weilded any weapon, or seen any battle, or anything. and now he's forced into an adventure. yes, that will be hilarious.

I'm more familiar with the LOTR movies than the books' continuity I hope that is alright. I've only read a small piece of the final book.

@Phoenix: While the idea is interesting, please remember that these individuals were gathered by Gandalf for this goal. So someone with no usable skills would make everyone question exactly why Gandalf sought him out.

@masato: Awesome, and that's perfectly fine. The movies were a good point of reference, and you can ask if you don't understand anything. Shadow44499 is a walking wiki on all of this, so he's a pretty good bet as well. Actually, more so than me.

This sounds like a good roleplay.
However, I may not have the availible time to commit to this fully. I'll have to figure some things out.

Anyways, I was thinking of something along the lines of...an outcast elf, with more dwarven traits than those of his own race. Such as rather than using a bow, he uses an axe. Rather than being lithe and stealthy, he storms into batle. I would expand on this a bit more, of course, but I was wondering if something along those lines would be alright?
