Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Rage&Pride on Fri Jun 14, 2013 12:20 pm

Creatures Of Cree
In the land of Cree there are many creatures. There's everything from Dragons to Goblins. From Unicorns to Gargoyles. From Fairies to Phooka. And a whole bunch of other creatures. But this thread is going to show you some of the special creatures by name.

Draconem
Image
An Ignis dragon born above the great volcano. He's one of the five great dragons of Cree. Draconem resides in the middle of Cree. He doesn't leave his home in the center of Cree much, but he usually knows what's going on throughout Cree do to his ultimate all-knowing sense.

Depllo
Image
A Glacies dragon born in the ice caves. He's one of the five great dragons of Cree. Depollo resides in the snowy villages of Cree. He's not seem much do to the fact that he calls the ice caves his home. He's know to be seen flying around in the sky in colder weather and is know for telling fortunes to people who seek him out from his magical ice walls that he says shows him the future.

Tares
Image
A Terra dragon born in the ground underneath Cree. He's one of the five great dragons of Cree. Tares resides underneath Cree traveling to different places. He, though he lives underneath Cree, is most seen of the five great dragons. He travels all around and pops his snake like head out of the ground every know and then, though this causes massive holes and earthquakes, but he uses his senses to ensure not to hurt a soul.

Aquarius
Image
A Aqua dragon born in the seas of Cree. He's one of the five great dragons of Cree. Aquarius resides in the seas of Cree and is the second most seen of the five dragons. He likes to swim around in his water appearance and jump over boats to give the sailors a passing thrill. He controls all the waters of Cree and works with his descendants, the tempestas' dragons, to keep control of the winds and storms as well.

Ares
Image
A A'Res dragon born in the clouds above Cree. She's one of the five great dragons. Ares resides in the skies of Cree residing in a form of air, rendering her nearly invisible. She's the least seen of the five great dragons due to this.

Diablo
Image
An evil mixed Ignis dragon who's Ryder is Diabolus, who is more now known as Diablo the evil Ruler. Diablo (the dragon) is known as the Destroyer of Worlds. It is said that Diablo (the dragon) was born in the underworld. He's know as the sixth of the five great dragons, and not for his greatness. He's called the first of the evil species of dragons that reside in Cree. Now, Diblo resides with he's Ryder as they try there hardest to conger all of Cree.

The Great Gryphon
Image
The last of his kind is the Great Gryphon. He's a legend in Cree due to the fact he has no set home. It is said he resides on one of the islands around Cree, though it is not proven. When he flies, he is above the clouds so he does not make a scene. He was born around the age of the five great dragons in a time when there was more Gryphons. But all the Gryphons mysteriously disappeared leaving him alone.

Degore
Image
Degore is the lead Gargoyle of Ryder Academy. He was recruited my Draconem himself do to his time he help defend against Diablo back in the great dragon wars. Now he stays at the school with Draconem and can be seen picking on and messing with any of the guys.

Una
Image
The first unicorn to be seen. She has wings and is hardly seen anywhere but in legend where she appears both black and white along with other various colors as well. Legend has it, she gave birth to three babies. A white unicorn without wings. A black unicorn without wings. And a Pegasus without a horn.

Pegasus
Image
A horse with wings. These are rare because they spend most of there time in the sky. They can rang from any color, but are usually white. The come down from the skies once a year and stay down for three days while they have children and interact with other creatures as well as observe the Ryders and rest their wings.

Chimera
Image
A monstrous beast. Only one is known to reside in Cree, but he is hardly ever sighted. Some believe he was recruited into Diablo's army, some believe he is just in hiding, some believe he doesn't exist at all. But nobody but Draconem knows that he actually resides in the very far end of the enclosure in a dark forest.

Phooka
Image
A shape-shifter. It is unknown who many actually reside in Cree, though it is said most of them have joined Diablo's army.

Phoenix
Image
A bird of light and fire. They're a rarer creature found in Cree due to the fact the live in the lava pits and volcano islands of Cree.

Fairies
Image
There are fairies for every season and talent. Though they're small, they're very creature. But because they're so small, they can only hold one emotion at a time. So I wouldn't get a fairy angry. A fairy's dust is a very hard ingredient to find in Cree as only fairies can produce it. Due to this, some wicked wizards are known to hunt fairies down and use their dust for spells.

Goblins
Image
Goblins are wicked little creatures who will do anything for gold, sliver, something shiny, or just plan out something to eat. They occupy most of the caves. Goblins are also the beloved minions of a lot of the dragon rulers of Cree.

Giants
Image
Giants are vicious beast. They don't know right from wrong and aren't the brightest creatures. They were tricked by Diablo to join is army and they now serve him loyally.

(More Creatures May Be Added)
(If you have any ideas for creatures you'd like to see in Cree, comment in OOC or PM me.)

(I need these creatures for my magic ideas xD so hopefully they get accepted! You can edit them so they sound better I just needed to get them up xD)

The First Black Unicorn-Tenebris Equum (Translates directly into Dark Horse in latin)

Image

Tenebris Equum, called Tenebris for short, was the first Black Unicorn born from Una. He has passed away but his spirit and conscience is sealed in an ancient stone deep in the schools forest. He only comes out at night, and is strongest on a full moon. He used to help out at the Ryder academy until he was consumed by his own Arcane Magic. Before he went insane, he was sealed in the stone by Draconem and with the help of Phari(who i will introduce later). His magic is so strong that his mane changed into crimson red and you can see the magic flow through his veins. His stone is visited by the school to help Black Unicorn Ryders. (P.S. His wings do not help him fly, it is an embodiment of shadows.)

The First White Unicorn: Phari (Translates directly into Lighthouse in latin)

Image

Phari was the first white Unicorn born from Una and found. Its great power comes from this fact along with it's first Ryder was a virgin. In the beginning, Unicorns could only be found by virgins and their powers are strongest when with them as companions. Through the years, Pharis skill became out-standing and unmatchable by any other white unicorn. It's White magic is the purest and strongest, and had caused changes in her appearance. She has white shiny hair and her body has a effulgent blue glow. near her horn around her face there is magic armor formed by her body. This signifies the power of her horn. Before her death, she was sealed in a stone in the Ryders Academy before it was even an Academy. Pharis companion knew that she would be of help in the future. Draconem had been the one to find her and she helped seal Tenebris into a stone with her White Magic so that his conscience would be safe and he would be himself. Both of the ancient Unicorn stones are next to each other.

: ) Also I have another one, need it for magic again xD

Spiritus - Ghost Knight

Image

Spiritus was a great gargoyle in his past life, who was known by a different them. This name has been lost, its so old it goes back to the times before records were even kept. He was known with having a steel heart, sharp, and pure, willing to serve justice. His magic and conscience is still imbedded on this earth by his huge axe weapon (as in the picture). It is down at the depths of some water land area(you can choose) and is said he converses with Aquarius often. His presence is signified by a thick mist of magic, and he rules the ghosts of the underworld. At his death, not only was he given a different name, but his appearance changed. His stone body merged with his armor, and they became one.

Hey I was thinking, could I add a small glossary of different dragon anatomies, sort of how each type of dragon could turn out. Whether they have two legs and two wings or a snake like body with vestigal wings and four legs. Mainly for later on in the story when we see more Ryders so that not every dragon has just four legs and wings

Common Dragon: This anatomy is seen the most, with four legs and two wings, skin can be scaly or furr and wings can be bat like or bird like. They can be any type of dragon though are not often seen as Apua dragons. It can either be a biped or a quadruped. Can be found anywhere.
Image

Drake: Same as a common dragon only lacking any wings.
Image

Knucker: Long and snake like with four short legs and vestigial wings. Knuckers. Their skin is similar to that of a lizards and wings are bat like. Love to live in swamps, ponds, and deep wells. Are normally only found as Aqua dragons. Their bite is venomous.
Image

Lung: Also Snake like with four short legs and no wings, however unlike knuckers some can be very long and like to live in rivers or clean pools with waterfalls as opposed to stagnant water. Their heads tend to be large and lion like and their skin is usually scaly but is sometimes furry. These dragons have developed the strange ability to speak the language of humans. Lungs can be any type of dragon, though they are rarely Terra dragons.
Image

Lindworm: Found in the desserts of Cree the Lindworm has only two legs and a secretive nature. They come in two varieties, Ignis and A'ris despite their lack of wings. These dragons are built to be the fastest, clocking in at speeds of sometimes 60 mph or faster. They are always seen with lizard like skin.
Image

Wyvern: Only really seen in mountainous regions or on coastal cliffs since they are klutzy on land and spend most of their time in the air. They have only two legs and two wings with commonly scaly skin but some have been recorded with fur and feathers. They can only be found as A'ris, Tempest, or Glacius dragons.
Image

Hydra: Most disliked and unknown type of dragon, only a few Ryders through history have been able to handle hydras. With each head having a starkly different personality from the rest they are hard to get along with when the heads can barely get along with each other. It is not known where the Hydra might reside or what it may look and be like, no one has ever really cared.
Image

Ampithere: This dragon type is almost never seen on the ground and nests in almost impossible to reach places making them one of the least likely to be companions but still more favored than a Hydra. They have no legs and only two wings, they can be either furry and feathered or scaly and bat like. They only ever come in A'ris or Tempest species.
Image

Marsupial: Even harder to get as a companion than an Ampithere since you will almost never find the egg unless the mother willingly gives it to you. This is unlikely since many Marsupial mothers have been known to challenge a Ryder to either a boxing match or a race before handing over her unhatched joey. They have four legs, two hind that are large and powerful while the front are short but no less powerful, and vestigial wings. Females have a pouch.
Image

Sea Serpents: There is only one sea serpent, the Great Dragon Aquarius.
Dwarf: Is any Dragon that can sit comfortably on its Ryder's shoulder or back.

ImageKitsune or fox are a common subject of Nippon folklore. Stories depict them as intelligent beings and as possessing magical abilities that increase with their age and wisdom. Foremost among these is the ability to assume human form. While some folktales speak of kitsune employing this ability to trick others—as foxes in folklore often do—other stories portray them as faithful guardians, friends, lovers, and wives.

Foxes and human beings lived close together in ancient Nippon; this companionship gave rise to legends about the creatures. Kitsune have become closely associated with Inari, a Shinto kami or spirit, and serve as its messengers. This role has reinforced the fox's supernatural significance. The more tails a kitsune has—they may have as many as nine—the older, wiser, and more powerful it is. Because of their potential power and influence, some people make offerings to them as to a deity.

Characteristics

Statue of a kitsune at the Inari shrine adjacent to Tōdai-ji Buddhist temple in Nara
Kitsune are believed to possess superior intelligence, long life, and magical powers. They are a type of yōkai, or spiritual entity, and the word kitsune is often translated as fox spirit. However, this does not mean that kitsune are ghosts, nor that they are fundamentally different from regular foxes. Because the word spirit is used to reflect a state of knowledge or enlightenment, all long-lived foxes gain supernatural abilities.

There are two common classifications of kitsune. The zenko (善狐?, literally good foxes) are benevolent, celestial foxes associated with the god Inari; they are sometimes simply called Inari foxes. On the other hand, the yako (野狐?, literally field foxes, also called nogitsune) tend to be mischievous or even malicious. Local traditions add further types. For example, a ninko is an invisible fox spirit that human beings can only perceive when it possesses them. Another tradition classifies kitsune into one of thirteen types defined by which supernatural abilities the kitsune possesses.

Physically, kitsune are noted for having as many as nine tails.[ Generally, a greater number of tails indicates an older and more powerful fox; in fact, some folktales say that a fox will only grow additional tails after it has lived 100 years. One, five, seven, and nine tails are the most common numbers in folk stories. When a kitsune gains its ninth tail, its fur becomes white or gold.[10] These kyūbi no kitsune (九尾の狐?, nine-tailed foxes) gain the abilities to see and hear anything happening anywhere in the world. Other tales attribute them infinite wisdom (omniscience).

((all of this was from wikipedia, for more info, check here. For the sake of this roleplay they can shapeshift, and while they have a vast amount of knowledge, it can only be gained from experiencing, or learning it themselves. they can also control fire, with Fox Fire being their strongest ability.))
