Chantal has had an eye for Nick since she first met him in HUB. He was just so funny and kind and while she wanted to make something happen, it was like he was pushing her away for some reason. She really thought they hit it off. Not long after she found out why, he had a son. A really adorable son! And as much as Chantal wasn't used to doing this; she decided to take it slow. Really slow. And in doing so, the actually became friends. Maybe Timmy helped that by making Chantal show off a soft side even she didn't know existed but, once meeting the little boy and see how stressed Nick can get sometimes, she couldn't help but offer several times to come over in the middle of the night to help him with the little baby. Which has only helped them get closer. Just recently did they start to 'accidentally' brush hands or slip a wink towards the other's way. Taking things slow has never been a specialty of Chantal's , but she knows Nick's been hurt some way or another and even if she won't admit it out loud, she'll go as slow as she needs to.

However, Chantal's spoiled and know-it-all attitude have rubbed the artist the wrong way. They two are seen as very competitive and Evangeline isn't entirely fond of how Chantal tends to bring out a condescending side of her. Still, she can't deny that she enjoys winning debates against her, feeling a bit smug. But, more than anything, she doesn't like how close Chantal is getting to Nick and will go out of her way to cockblock, especially with Timmy forming an attachment. She intends to make her best friend happy again and as far as she's concerned, Nick's family portrait will never include Chantal.

She was ecstatic when Nomi hit it off with Jax, thinking the two were the absolute cutest couple. Not when she is one of the few people who get to see how Anastasia acts in private. With both of them being private individuals on their own, it's probably a surprise that they are as close as they are, but after Anastasia's attack, Naomi's felt even closer to the beauty. They have an understanding of one another and Naomi considers Stasi to be one of her close friends.

It is no secret that Naomi and August have a strong brother/sister bond. It might not even be a surprise to see her at his place cooking for him since he stayed up half the night choreographing or him at her place because he was playing video games on the console she bought. Nomi sincerely cares for the dancer and wants to see him succeed, and his often watching over/nagging him on a regular basis in her own little way.

Chantal is an overachiever. Chantal is ambitious. Chantal can be a bit of a know-it-all. Chantal can be even harsh. Chantal is also the woman who's unofficially-but-kinda-obviously seeing the first man Naomi has ever loved and, well, she's just trying to not make it awkward. It leaves her having to compose her facial expressions more than she already does and having to keep Evan from punching the trust fund baby's lights out. It's not to say that Naomi doesn't feel some type of way. She has to consistently tell herself to not feel so hurt, to not want to rip Chantal away from Nick. But she also knows that losing him was her fault and she actually likes the girl. They're friends and you don't hate your friends for dating someone they never knew you even loved.

Above any of the other tenants, Evangeline is Naomi's best friend and right hand. Evan's wild and eccentric, and she's a great compliment to the sometimes too composed and graceful Naomi, who would rather blend in the background than be seen. But Evan's vivacity is catching and her affection has been Naomi's saving grace in the last few years. With her own brush with suicide, breakdown, and need to escape Hollywood, Evan has been nothing but a powerful support system and Naomi can't help but feel like she doesn't deserve the Southern belle. Granted, if she ever said that aloud, she's pretty sure Evan would slap it out of her.

If Naomi were being honest with herself, she would say that she hates this. She hates seeing him brushing hair from Chantal's face. Hates seeing the way he used to smile at Nomi being directed at someone else. Hates shoving down her feelings and pretending like she hasn't missed him all this time when the very thought of being without him and alone in her elite lifestyle drove her to near suicide! But, of course, Naomi has been shoving her feelings down for her entire life and once more, for his sake, shouldn't be that hard. However, it is and unlike what Nicholas has shown, she's not over him. Not in the slightest. She just thinks he deserved and still does deserve better than her.
