Rayne smiled back at Toyis, licked his lips and read the document.
"Bagh..Dad?" He closed his mind and tried to think back, but it was no use. "What exactly is Baghdad?" He felt stupid because the look on the other two's faces showed they knew what that was.
"You know what? Forget it. So. When do we start?" He tucked the document away with his sketchbook and re-tied his hair. He flexed his fingers and felt ready for action.

Suddenly he got a flash in his eyes and felt his body go limp. His brain flashed black and white and green and all different colours until finally it stopped at an image. It was Rayne, only younger. The boy was in his early teens and was walking in snow. He looked cold and had cuts all over. On the snow, was a trail of blood.The image paused and the flashing returned until he woke panting on the ground. 'What the heck just happened?' Thought Rayne, staring at the ceiling.

Hearing the sound of a falling pencil she turns quickly to Rayne falling on the floor not responding. Turning him on his side she snaps her figures trying to get him awake. suddenly he wakes up looking at the ceiling.

kneeling by him trying to help him up "you passed out and fell on the floor, are you alright?"

Solange had seen Rayne drop, it was odd because he had looked peaceful as he fell, eyes closed and a very small smile on his lips. It might have been her imagination, though she doubted that. She couldn't move to help him, nor could she say anything that might have brought him out of it.

Is this what it feels like to be under a manipulation? She wondered vaguely, then suddenly the world started spinning again and time resumed it's eternal path with the sound of a dull thud. Rayne hitting the floor.

She suck out a hand to help him up, deciding to ignore that other vampiress, Toyis, unless the need to otherwise communicate arose. She was sure it would, but the girl just rubbed her the wrong way and she couldn't tell why. All of this she did silently, unable to find her voice just yet.
