It was a cold day. The sun was covered by the clouds above and a light fog filled the air. It made the Victorian styled house stand out even more. On the outside it was freshly repainted, but the inside still held many of it's nineteenth century charm. The home was built in the 1920's and has been refurbished for a new family's arrival. Under all of the paint and remodeling, the house is still the same no matter what one changes about it. The home held many secrets most of which no one will even dare to speak of. There have been new families in the home over the years, but each one of them never stayed for long. They either never came back out or left after a couple of nights. It has been years though since the last family had moved out though.
Up stairs in the first bedroom to the right lies a porcelain doll. It was left there by the original family who lived in the home many years earlier. It was amazing no one tried to take it. It is still in perfect condition. It's skin is pale almost translucent, long bistre colored locks, and a white dress. Some would say if the doll was a human, no one would be able to take their eyes off of it. No one knew the true pain the doll goes through though. It's name is Aniyah. Every night she comes to life and looks to see if a new family has moved in or not. It is hard to stay in a home all by herself with no one there to talk to. Her secluded life hopefully will come to an end soon. All she wants is someone to talk to. It was daytime now and she couldn't move until night time. She heard people moving into the house though, causing herself to become excited to see who her new family would be.
