Reader James is one heck of a trouble maker when it involves school and her parents. She always seem to be in trouble. Not a week goes by without a letter or a warning sent to her parents. But Reader saw herself as a free spirit not a trouble maker, it's just that rules bind her into doing less of what she really wants.

It was the second to the last day of school. Tomorrow, her friends have decided that they would be spending the night over at Tamara's family's beach house. An hour of bus trip away from town and Reader is as excited as a puppy as she rushed home to pack a bag when she opened the door and found two trolleys parked at the landing of the stairs while her parents each buried their noses into a newspaper. She stopped dead in her tracks, her hand still clutching the door knob and a confused look in her face.

Her mother gently laid down her newspaper and cleared her throat. Soon her dad did the same thing and both stared at her.

"Where are you guys- going?" She asked awkwardly, suddenly remembered to close the door. It made a loud bang but it wasn't enough to break through the stiff air around them.

"No where," Her mother did the talking.

"So why are there suitcases by the stairs?" She raised an eyebrow and fidgeted with her hair. She was starting to feel nervous and knew something was going on- except that she couldn't point it out.

A loud honk was heard from outside their house and her father stood up as he heard the signal. "Hurry up, fix yourself. You've got an hour to get ready while Grand-da relaxes for a snack," Her mother moved out of the couch and into the kitchen.

"Grand-da? What is he doing here?" Reader exclaimed out loud. She love her family but Grand-da can be too talkative- most of the time.

"Just get ready and wear something comfortable for a long drive. Go now," With her back facing Reader, her mom prepared some snacks and drink for the old bloke.

"Mom! What is happening?!" Reader is getting pissed at her parents riddles. "Why is-"

"Oh Reader there you are my little girl!" She was suddenly squeezed and enveloped into a hug by two strong wobbly and wrinkly arms as Grand-da gave her a hug.

"You're spending the summer at your grandparents," her dad had finally let the bomb explode.

West lives next to Reader's granddad with his Uncle Steven. He has a small crush on Reader, until he realizes she's a troublemaker. He still does like her, but tries to hide it.

(Is Reader from a big city going to a small town? Or vice versa. I'll add more when you specify.)

Natalie Portey, was the bad girl at the local school, who lived across the street from Reader's Grand-da.

She always had a thing for Reader, being that she was also a bit of a bad girl. Although, she never let her emotion's show whenever near her. She talked to Reader a little bit, not as much as Nat would have liked.

Juliet Ford lived on a farm near Reader's Grand-da's house. She and Reader had used to see each other whenever Reader left town to visit her grandparents and became good friends. But when one of Reader's freak pranks went wrong, they stopped speaking and hadn't seen each other for years... until this summer.

(Sorry the picture's a bit big! D:)
