Fantasy Made Reality

!-Ok let's try this dance again...
Backstory and Setting:
In the early 21st century the human race made a remarkable evolutionary breakthrough: they began to manifest their desires into reality. At first this psychic anomaly was witnessed only among a few individuals scattered around the globe and so went widely unnoticed. However as time went on more and more people began "manifesting" their fantasies and what at first had been an anomaly soon became an epidemic. "Dreamers" were herded to isolated areas only to find their numbers growing by the day and chaos increasing. Due to their close quarters these "quarantine zones", or prison camps as others thought of them, became filled with fantasy manifestations. It was in these dark days that the "Laws of the Mind" were discovered and they were the only laws lived by as any sense of social order and community broke down in the anarchy that was to come.

Laws of the Mind:
1. Anything created by the mind is free after its task has been completed.
2. Creations of the mind only vanish when they cannot be remembered by anyone who has come into contact with them.
3. Manifestations gradually change based on the community's collective subconscious perception of them. (If a friendly giant fluffy bunny rabbit is perceived to be evil it eventually will be.)
4. Manifestations done to oneself can only be achieved through deep seeded instincts, desires and emotions. (You have to feel the thirst in order to get fangs.)
5. There is no god. (No one can ever manifest the divine or unholy intervention in their creations or themselves.)
6. The more developed the fantasy the stronger the creation will be.

Manifestation Classifications:
First Break: Though not always the subject's "first" these are usually small manifestations such as energy discharges, atmospheric disturbances and explosions and are caused by intense emotion. (Ex. Extreme happiness might result in upbeat music playing out of nowhere or frustration could cause a short circuit.)
Shades: These are sentient manifestations and like any other creation are free after they have fulfilled their role. Unlike others they often actively try to shape their own destinies and make lives for themselves within the human community.
Blanks: Manifestations, sometimes shades, that are born from a human's unconscious desires. They are usually totally unaware of their maker's existence and if sentient have large memory gaps. Blanks are often very conventional in their appearance and mannerisms, often distorted or lacking in detail or functionality in some way. This is because they came to be from unfinished or malformed fantasies.
Half-Wills: Creations made by flights of conscious fancy. Usually involving at least one shade, they are better developed than Blanks but still without much character of their own. As such they rely more on the collective will to shape them.
Wills: Wills are almost always sentient as they are born of long term conscious fantasies. Their personalities and appearances are well developed and their missions are well defined. If more of them appear in the same fantasy they will develope an a virtual hive mind in their pursuit to carry out their creator's wishes. Once freed they remain what they are and are barely influenced by the collective subconscious.

RP Rules
1. Keep it realish. No godmodding and keep your actions logical. (No pulling bowling balls out of one's ear for example.)
2. Everyone starts as a human so if your character isn't then explain how they managed it. Also remember Law 4 and shape their personality accordingly.
3. Keep OOC comments and character sheets should be placed in tags (Ex. !- tags -!, OOC: tag, [tags]).
4. Descriptive character sheets are required. Especially their personality seeing as it will have a major impact as to what they might create either directly or indirectly.
5. You may utilize other people's characters in order to interact with them. This being said keep the focus of your posts on your own characters and keep any usages of outsourced characters "in character". The owners of said characters have the last say of what is and what is not out of character for their characters. (If you aren't sure then just leave them alone and stick to you're own.)
6. I reserve the right to edit these rules and this rp at any time.

And now I need to sleep. Feel free to start without me.
-!

Tails Prower
Age: 16
Classification: Will
Appearance: Is very tall, about "6'2 or so, with longer tails and bangs. He wears jeans, a blue t-shirt with his fox tail design under a black button-up t-shirt, and fingerless gloves. His right ear is pierced with a golden hoop earring. On his back is a sheath containing a huge sword as tall as he is and half as wide, its hilt set with a large jewel that changed different rainbow colors depending on the angle you looked at it.
Description: This version of Tails is a manifestation of how its creator perceived what Tails would be like as an actual hero, rather than a side-kick. He's also an example of the creator's perception of what it would be like if Mobians were human-sized instead of only half of an average human's height. In the particular fantasy that he's from, he leads a team of other Wills, all with their own powers and motivations, and fights against a pair of human villain Wills attempting to conquer the universe. His creator is new to manifestation, however, and thus has only been able to manifest Tails, one of his most well thought-out characters, though he's trying to manifest at least Melissa, the love interest he'd created for Tails so that he wouldn't be lonely. Tails lives with his creator of that version of him, fighting evil in the real world like he did in the fantasy he was from.
Personality: The creator of this version of him stayed true to his original personality, he's still gentle and kind-hearted, and doesn't like pointless fighting...But he isn't afraid to show what he can do in battle all the same!
Abilities: This version of Tails can run as fast as Sonic, is almost as strong as Knuckles, and his sword's magical properties allow him to control the elements of the earth (Fire, ice, etc.)

Name: Stephanie Reardon
Age: 20

Appearance: Stephanie is a lithe, agile girl who stands 5'5" tall. She had rich hazel, doe-like eyes, more often then not lined ith thick black eye make-up to place a heavy emphasis upon them. Her hair is thoroughly layered, sandy-blonde in colour. steph has a neat, pretty face and full lips to accentuate her mouth, and her long lashes accomodate her eyes weel. Her nose is small-ish, the right size for her small, elf-like face. Her ears are ever so slightly pointed, and her canine teeth are strangley extra sharp. The changes seem to be slowl moving, as if a virus spreads through her body with immense slowness, slowly changing her even more then her appearance, though she realises not.
Personality: Stephanie is an empathetic girl, unconciously taking on another pain. She is a shy young woman who, when among old friends, is flirtacious and out-going. Her sharp tongue can often get her into trouble, which is why she tends to stay silent amongst new people. she is gaurded of her life, and very indescisive. She is a lover of music and dance, and not much of the studious type, though she has a wild and untamable imagination.
Background: Stephanie Reardon grew up in a middle-class world. She lived with her three brothers (2 older, one younger), her mother, and her mothers boyfriend. Though not completely happy, Steph was content. She had enough food, clothes, money to go out with friends and what-not.
At the age of 15, Steph created her first "invention". A necklace that burned the kin of those that attempted to cause her harm. She created it subconciously, a few days after she was nearly raped. She was extremely insecure for the next half-month or so, retreating to her imagination for comfort.
After this, Steph went a year without "dreaming" anything, though her imagination ran wilder then ever, creating magical beings and futuristic inventions.
During her 16th year, Steph finally did something once again, this time to herself. Having always dreamt of having the attributes of fantasy beings, Stephanie's features became more elven. She was not completely changing herself, only affecting her apearance ever so slightly.
When she was 18 she created a Shade. She had just completed her last year of school, and though extremely happy she had felt empty and alone. Most of her friends had left on road trips, or already headed off to Uni. Steph was too unsure of what to do with her life, and so stayed behind, renting an apartment close to the middle of the city. Due to her lonliness, Steph created a shade. His name was Zacharia, and she "dreamt' him for mere company. He appeared human in all aspects, though he had a strange ability with bubbles and light.
Now, at the age of 20, stephanie Reardon is still living in her two bedroom apartment, working as a waitress at an expensive resturant, and occasionally doing the odd job at the local bar. Though Zacharia has completed his purpose, he continues to stay with Stephanie, shaping his life and bending the will of his destiny to suit him staying close to her.

Creations of Note:

Name: Fire
Classification: Half-Will
Description: this simple, silver chain necklace is constantly hanging around Steph's neck. It is linked closely together, and is Steph's first creation. When someone touches her, meaning her harm, Fire would burn the skin of the attacker. Though not having the ability to seak, it does have a mind of its own some-what. Sensing whom she may hate or immensly dislike, it will occasionally attempt to attack that person.

Creations of Note:
Name: Zacharia
Classification: Shade
Description: Zacharia is one of Steph's closest friends. Created from her lonliness when she finished school, Zacharia (Zach for short) appears to be a young man in his early 20's, appearing compltely human, with an odd ability with light and bubbles. He continues to stay with Steph even though his purpose has been fulfilled.

!- The fiction board eh? Just to let all of you know this is an original universe. But whatever, I had a hard enough time classifying it anyway.

Character sheet:
Name: Kevin Baker
Age: 24
Description: Kevin is thin and rugged with natural blond hair which he keeps cut short. He wears a loose pair of jeans, a white t-shirt and a faded black leather jacket he is quite fond of. His shoes are worn but well cared for and it appears as if he is constantly running in them. A gold watch is strapped to one wrist.
Personality: Resourceful and opertunistic Kevin is always looking for the big score. Despite this capitalistic attitude he has a inventive mind and is constantly asking himself "What if?" Needless to say this has become one of this greatest strengths and weaknesses in the new world order. His moods are very fickle and hope can quickly turn to suspicion and fear and then back again.
Background: The streets were Kevin's first playground and from them he began his journey as a silent witness. While his mother worked two jobs trying to support them Kevin was left to fend for himself. No one to make him do his homework after school. No one to chastise or guide him through his adolescent "explorations". And certainly no one to offer him any advice when a very attractive shade, whose image he happened to be drawing at the time, manifested in his art class one day and started posing provocatively at the front of the class. Needless to say the scandal was the beginning of the end. After being expelled for "indecent and dangerous conduct towards his fellow students" Kevin was forced to rely solely on his wits. No employer would hire a "dreamer" such as him although he spent several years searching for a job. During this time he regularly fantasized about becoming rich. It should have been no surprise that one day his back account inexplicably filled itself. Nor should it have been a surprise when this sudden increase in wealth was noticed by the government. After several years of living it up Kevin was arrested and sent to a quarantine zone.

Creations of Note:
Name: Stop-Time Watch
Classification: Half-Will
Description: This small device was one of Kevin's "accidental" creations however once manifested it became one of his most valued possessions. It is gold plated with an analog readout and has the ability to control the passage of time around it, even stop it at a moment's notice. The problem? It is a very opinionated and talkative little watch and doesn't always agree with it's "owner".

Name: Smackdown MX360
Classification: Will
Description: One of Kevin's first "inventions". This automatic-pistol can fire ANYTHIG (that could possibly fit out its barrel). Bullets, rope, lasers, it can even act as a flamethrower if need be. What Kevin didn't count on was that it would develope a conscious after it was freed and although it isn't sentient per se it does have final control of when and what it discharges.

(Phew took a couple hours to write that. Just let me post it so I know it's safe.). -!

Kevin pressed himself against the wall of a crumbling store and peeked around the corner. Behind him, terrorizing the citizens of the Ouldand city of New Hope, and marching straight towards the Museum of Natural History was one of the largest manifestations Kevin had ever seen. Unleashing a roar that would have woken the dead and causing the ground to tremble with each step the neon blue Tyranasaurus Rex thundered towards its goal. And sitting atop its back, laughing happily, was a little brat of a boy that could have been no more than six years old.
"Kids have way too much time on their hands," Kevin muttered to himself, his eyes darting quickly about to the surrounding streets and buildings looking for a way out.
"Apparently so," replied his watch conversationally "in fact if you ask me he needs to watch a little more of Jurassic Park, maybe parts two and three as well. Didn't he get the message that those things are dangerous?"
Kevin glanced down at his watch and then back around the corner at the T-Rex who was no on the Museum steps. He had long given up trying to figure out how it could perceive the world around it even though it completely lacked any kind of sensory nodes. It just did. As he watched the animal lifted its head, planted one foot on museum's open threshold and let loose another blood curdling roar. Then it blinked and stood confused for a moment.
"it's happening," his watch stated reverently.
"What's happening?" replied Kevin although he could already guess.
"What do you think?" scoffed the watch " Big Bad and Blue there is about to wake up in 3,.., 2..., 1..."
"AAARRROOO?" groaned the dinosaur as if it were a giant dog complaining of fleas. It circled a few times then sat down on its haunches and scratched, scratched the screaming whelp of a creator right off its back.
"Oh, that has got to hurt!" Kevin's watch exclaimed as the boy went flying and slammed head long into a car windshield.
"Do you never shut up?" scolded Kevin in a harsh whisper "I'm trying to hide here."
"No, not usually," smirked the watch "I wonder what Fido is about to... oh dear."
Fido, was lumbering towards the car, his nose to the ground with a goofy curious grin spread across his toothy maw. As the child quaked in terror the giant reptile sniffed him and then opened his jaws and scarfed him down like a doggy biscuit. In a few moments the only evidence that there had ever been a boy were the gruesome sounds of crunching bones.
"This can't be good," Kevin said as he fought to keep his lunch down.
"Ya think?" replied his watch sarcastically.
Kevin swallowed and stepped nervously away from the wall "What do ya say we get the hell out of here?"
"I say," and the next word rose several decebles "RUUUUUUUUUUUNN!"
The blue T-Rex looked up in their direction, cocked its head and panted before giving chase.

[seems like this might be fun. Let's do it!

character sheet:
name: Thayla Woodsinger
Age: 16.
Race: Fairy.
Description: Thayla is a short humanoid with a pair of angelic wings on her back. Her long, pale-blond hair streams from her head usually in a braid until the small of her back. Her face is slightly oval, but mostly round, emphasized by her smoky gray eyes that swirl almost mystically and are unreadable. Her nose is small and well-formed, thoug her mouth is not accentuated by full lips, though rosy-pink and perfectly matched to her face. her body is thin and frail-looking, and accentuated by comparatively large breasts, though she has little in the matter of defining curves elsewhere. her diminutive stature tops off at 1.6 meters, since she is always slightly flapping her wings when awake and floating about 20 centimeters from the ground, (actual height: 1.4 meters) But when excited and happy, reaches anywhere from 2 meters to the ceiling as the involuntary beat of her wings increases in pace. Her clothes are always the same, as she wears a turquoise-set silver pin to hold her braid, pink blouse and skirt, and aqua schoolgirl small heeled shoes. When she's not at least hovering (rarely) the shoes give her an apparent height of 1.45 meters, though that's more because of the way she carries herself than through the height of the heels.
Personality: Thayla is cheerful and carefree. she's got a happy attitude and is always there with words of encouragement and support. The only way to make her somber and sad is to make her think of her distant past (10 years of age or less) which usually deflates her. she is always happy to help, but is also responsible: when helping, she always reminds her helpee that whatever he does, it's his responsibility alone; she offers advice but ultimately, whatever actions people are carrying are their own, and she is annoyingly good at reminding people of that. she is by nature a good person and will not bring harm unless there is no other option.
The story of her life: Thayla was born to lower-class parents who, although they tried to support her, quickly abandoned her as she proved too much of a chore and provided nothing in return. lost to the streets, she was quickly abducted by a man who kept her and, though he gave her the means to continue living, raped her daily. She retreated into a fantasy world where faeries and other loving creatures were her guides and friends. Ultimately, when she turned ten years of age, the powers of the mind began to manifest on Thayla. The first thing that happened was that Thayla created the Shade Serena, a tiny faerie (fits comfortably inside her hands) whose original purpose was to rescue her from her life. Serena's powers of healing (physical and emotional) and her compassionate heart made it possible for her to rescue Thayla as she lay dying from the injuries her latest series of rapes had caused her and strengthen her resolve to escape. Thayla did so, managing to hitchhike all the way to new york, where she eked out a living in the streets with Serena's help. Serena's compassionate nature and evident love for the girl she viewed as a mixture of daughter and sister kept her with Thayla long after her purpose was fulfilled. Thayla's powers grew and so did her fantasy world, until the point she envisioned herself as a fairy and eventually her powers turned her into one. As a true faerie, however, she found that Serena, though a truly fantastic being, thought that she needed help no longer and they parted, though with the promise of friendship always there. They still correspond, of course, but the bond that once existed has dimmed. Thayla still manifests the powers of the mind, but with a subtle control she couldn't as a human, and has her fae powers as well. Eventually captured and imprisoned in a concentration camp due to an unlucky encounter with a SWAT team handling a terrorist threat, but does not complain about her status.

Creations of the mind:
Serena: A free Shade now currently in New York. Cares for orphaned children and corresponds with Thayla. Was once a combination sister/mother, but now, is a true friend to the imprisoned Thayla.

Her own body: Thayla turned herself into a faerie.

Lokhan the wolf: a Shade created by a dreaming Thayla after fantasising about mystical wolves thanks to a series of RPG games that ingrained themselves in her mind. Strangely enough, he was created with a purpose of companionship and can imitate human speech, though his language is coarse and his regard for grammar an imposition by Thayla, to whose will he usually grudgingly submits. Sleek silver coat, he is a protector and friend of Thayla, whom she values as much as any human and perhaps just a tiny bit more than many humans. He is fiercely protective but, though not very sociable, is not aggressive at first. Best left alone when Thayla is not around, however.

Fae powers:
Healing: Thayla can perform great feats of physical healing, up to and including ressurecting the recently-dead (by recently, 20 seconds tops, and death must have been through an unnatural cause, never old age). However, the larger the feat of healing, the more it drains her, until she is too weakened to do more without rest. She can also soothe emotions and heal troubled minds.

Empathy: Thayla's empathy is a double-edged knife. She can focus on peoples' emotions and correlate to them, feel them as her own and learn how to soothe them without her fae powers. However, when feeling unusually strong emotions, good or bad, those around her are affected by it and respond accordingly. A crying Thayla usually has a saddening effect on those around herself, while a laughing one is inductive of mirth as well.

Virtue: Not virtue as in virginity (way too late for that) but as an actual force. Could be caled Holy, Light, or Good, but she calls it Virtue. She can focus her power into blasts of energy as well as soothing light. She is also permanently bathed in an illuminating aura of Virtue that makes her a peaceful sight at all times.

Done! Whew. i'll edit this and add my first post soon. Bit busy right now ._.]

Thayla laughed happily as Lokhan held her in his jaws, giggling even as she said. "Release me, Lokhan."

"No, Thayla." His growled words spat around her even as he held her firmly. "you nearly demolished that chapel."

"It's not my fault that boy imagined a big huge green monster after i healed him from his sickness. You'd rather i left the kid to die?"

"i'd rather you tried to heal him emotionally before physically, seen as you have the gift. Now i need to carry you away from there before the kid's parents kicked your arse into tomorrowland."

"We're already far enough away. Can i go, please?" Thayla wriggled in Lokhan's grasp and finally released herself. Lokhan looked at her with a dangerous glint in his eyes. Thayla shook her head playfully, but her voice was commanding. "Down, Lokhan."

"Yes, Thayla." Lokhan answered, his eyes immediately losing their hard glint and his demeanor becoming more docile. The wolf stretched down and lay on the ground, clearly spent.

"Rest a bit, Lokhan, while i take a look around. I've been wanting to visit the Natural History Museum anyway, but they probably wouldn't let you in. I'll be back in a few hours." Thayla beat her wings a bit faster and floated up until the top of her head was about three meters from the ground.

"Take care, Thayla." Lokhan said, before wagging his tail a couple of times and closing his eyes. Soon the silver wolf was asleep.

As Thayla flew around, she suddenly spotted a running person. Running? Glimpsing behind said person, she saw a blue tyranossauros rex! What? Well, the person was approaching fast, and she soon recognized Kevin Baker. The human stopped short when he saw her.

"Kevin! What's happening here?" She cried, even as his emotions flooded her. Fear was predominant. What could she do?

Startled at Thayla's sudden appearance Kevin skidded to a halt and then bolted towards her "Run!" Pounding pavement for all he was worth Kevin skidded around several parked cars and nearly trampled the farie in his attempt to reach her. Grabbing her small arm he again began to run, the thunderous sounds of the beast's foot falls shaking the very ground beneath them. He had just managed to make it around the corner when a gaping set of jaws came plunging down around them.
Time stopped and Kevin found himself clutching fearfully at Thayla whom he quickly released.
"Do I have to save your butts all the time?" his watch demanded impatiantly.
"Oh this is great, just great!" ranted Kevin twisting around to gaze at a droplet of saliva hanging in mid air no more than a few feet above their heads "We're in his mouth! We're in his freaking mouth!"
"Then why don't we get out of here?" Thayla's asked, her voice sounding unusually strained.
Kevin gestured to the teeth that pressed in all around them "The field is too small. If we expand it we'll speed up time and get munched. And I don't think we can both fit through the side of his mouth."
!- A short lesson in temporal mechanics.
Time is relative. From the rest of the worlds perspective nothing seems to have happened. The T-Rex still thinks he is "about" to eat them. Everything outside the field is "about" to happen. -!

Steph jogged down th street, regularly checking her watch. she was already 5 minutes late, and she still had 5 blocks to go.
I should have gotten a stupid bloody taxi.
As she sped round the corner, a loud roar greeted her ear, stopping her in her tracks. Steph's baggy, bright print shirt hung around her lithe body loosely as she stared at the scene unfolding before her.
A giant, supposedly extinct dinosour.
"What the fuck? a T-rex? You've got to be kiddin me!" Steph began to back away before she noticed mvement between the monsters large teeth, which were nearly clamped shut close to the pavement.
"And then there was people..." muttered Steph as she stood, staring at the scene. Tentivaley, she began to creep towards the Rexy. It seemed unaware, actually it seemed... Frozen? Steph shook her head as she neared the Rex. She made out two figures and she waved her hand, attempting to catch their attention.

[[Just a lil unsure, and sorry for such a crappy post, but did the watch stop everything aroundf the rexy as well?]]

!- The watch would be straining at its limits right now. I mean a T-Rex is pretty damn big. Basically what you have is a big bubble of "stopped" time and inside that is a much smaller bubble of "normal" time where Kevin and Thayla are now chatting it up. However from Stephenie's perspective she wouldn't be able to perceive their movements nor they hers since any light, sound, vibrations and whatever else is stopped as soon as it hits the first big temporal bubble. Perhaps telepathy could pierce it, that would have to be debated, but most anything else in the material universe would be stopped cold. So you've got Kevin and friend's who see the world frozen around them. You have the T-Rex who is stuck in the present and eternally on the thought "yum food". From the outside world it would appear as if the whole scene had been freeze framed at the moment the watch had been activated (i.e terror and clutching in fear). This is why the ability to stop time creates the illusion of teleportation so well. From the observer's point of view the manipulator moves from point a to b in a blink of an eye. When in reality the temporal manipulator merely stops the observer from OBSERVING them traveling from point a to b. And I'm going to stop here before I go into a rant on temporal mechanics. We really should start an OOC Thread.-!

"Well blubbering on about it won't fix the problem," Kevin's watch chattered testily "You're the one with the appendages. Do something."
Kevin sucked in a deep breath and instantly regretted it as his nose was filled with the scent of blood and carnivore breath. Trying to breath shallowing he drew his gun from its holster on his belt and carefully lined it up with several of the beast's great teeth "Cutting laser, please." He pulled the trigger. The Smackdown MX360 emitted a grinding sound as a long, and incredibly thin, serrated hack saw exploded from the tip of it's barrel. Kevin stared at the unwieldly piece of metal, that in its present state looked nothing more like a toothy fencing foil "What the hell am I supposed to do with this?"
"Saw his Rover's teeth off I'd imagine," his watch snickered "just try not to put an eye out while you're doing it."
Kevin groaned as he set to work on the nearest tooth, trying his best to keep from getting covered in dino drool, his frustration ever mounting "If I ever design another multipurpose gun remind me to install a manual override." As he worked giant pustuals began forming all over the tyranasaurus' mouth.

Thayla began hovering alongside Kevin, watching him work. Suddenly, she piped "Do you really need to hurt the poor beastie to get us out of here?"

"Does it look like we have any other choice?" Kevin replied testily. "It doesn't look like you could do much."

Thayla closed her eyes and focused on the T-rex. Strangely enough, it wasn't hungry, it was just doing what it knew instinctually. Fear and pain and confusion were the emotions that attacked his animal mind and made him do what instinct told him to. "It doesn't want to eat us, Kevin. It's in pain. It's confused. I could soothe it and it'd leave us alone."

"I'm not willing to bet my life on that." Kevin said, sawing the tooth he was working on off.

"I... i don't like to see things hurt, Kevin. Not even something that wants to hurt us." Thayla said, pouting. However, discretion was the better choice here. "I'm going to wait here until you get us out then."

Thayla slowly hovered down until her heeled feet touched the ground, then sat down. Her wings spread themselves comfortable as she leaned down on her hands and took a comfortable stance.

"That girl always like that?" Snickered the watch.

"Shut up." Replied Kevin.

"I wish i hadn't left Lokhan behind..." Thayla muttered, thinking about her companion.

Kevin was nearly halfway through the tooth when he felt a wave of sadness and regret wash over him. He looked down at Thayla, her eyes downcast and expression somber, and then redoubled his efforts at the job at hand. He shouldn't be feeling this. And yet, and yet he was. He didn't want to die here, not like this. He had so much left to live for. The tooth fell away and rolled outside their small temporal field. Kevin carefully reached an arm and shoulder out through the enlarged gap but could get no more of his body out. Setting his jaw he began work on the next tooth.
As he sawed back and forth on what he thought what might be the equivilant of a bicusbid Kevin's mind began to drift. Chopping off T-Rex teeth, the idea would almost be funny if it weren't for the circumstances. Poor old brute would need a few false teeth after all was said and done and this thought cause Kevin to grin: a dinosaur dentist.
"Excuse me but you're doing that wrong," a voice said from directly behind him. Kevin halted his sawing and whirled around to find himself face to face with what appeared to be a lizard man in a lab coat. Large intelligent yellow eyes regarded Kevin behind wire rim glasses rested on the smooth green scales of his snout. In one clawed hand he held what appeared to be a small black doctors bag.
"Who the hell are you?" Kevin spluttered in surprise.
Sticking out a green scaled hand the man replied "Dr. Charles Saurian, prehistoric reptilian dentist at your service."
Careful to avoid the claws Kevin took the offered hand and shook it before letting go "Well, hello there. Now if you don't mind I'd like to get back to work."
"But you're doing it wrong!" insisted Dr. Saurian and before Kevin could stop him the dentist had pushed him aside and was digging in his bag, tail lashing from side to side. "Ah here we go," he said at last pulling out an impossible large hose and shoving it up the tyranasaurus's throat.
"Now that's what I call a professional!" the watch stated excitedly.
The doctor adjusted his glasses and turned his gaze on Kevin "Now if you'll be so kind as to turn on the gas."
"Gas?" Kevin repeated in disbelief staring at the giant tube leading from doctor's bag to dinosaur windpipe.
"Knockout gas of course," explained Dr. Saurian impatiently "We obviously can't operate while the poor bloke is conscious."
"But..." stammered Kevin.
"Honestly, I'll do it myself," said Dr. Saurian reaching inside his bag once again. There was a squeaking sound of a tap being turned and a hissing of gas could be heard filling the tube "There now it should just be a few minutes before we can get down to business."
