After lunch, Mike showed Bella to what would be her biology class. Mr. Banner, the teacher, took her slip, she walked by the fan, which caused her hair to blow over her face, she looked over to the only open seat, it was by Edward, and of course, this was where Mr. Banner had set her.

Edward sat watching the door, waiting to see who would be running in late that day. He loved the paniced thoughts regular people had, it was probably because of his hunting instincts. He already knew the new girl, Bella Swan, was in his class. Since in the cafeteria he hadn't been able to read her clearly, this would be a good chance to. He loved challenges.

He watched as Bella entered the room with her little friend Mike Newton. She proceded to walk past the classroom fan when it hit him. Her scent send his instincts into overdrive. He longed to jump from the table and take her then and there. He covered his nose, trying not to smell her, but it was too late his body was urging it's self to take her. He began to think of all the possibilities. He couldn't wait until after class, the only seat left in the room was next to him. He knew he couldn't expose his family and himself. He knew there couldn't be any suvivors. He looked around the room as he calculated how long it would take to break everyone's neck and how much time he had. Edward turned his head towards the classroom window and closed his eyes, this was going to be a long classhour, but whatever happened he couldn't put his family in jeopardy.

Bella drug the seat out next to him and sat down. She had noticed the way he reacted when she walked by the fan and to the seat. Did she smell? Bella turned her head from him and sniffed her hair, it was the usual shampoo she used, smelt fine to her, then what was wrong with him?

Edward tried not to look, but couldn't help but stare that the girl. Why was she here? Was she sent from his own personal hell to destroy him? It made him furious to think that he could at any second lose control and put his family at risk. It was as if every nerve in his body was pulling it's self to the girl, he had to fight back. If he revealed himself he had no idea what might happen. Destruction of his life and his family was certain.

Mr. Banner had began passing out cups containing things they were to study. When his and Bella's cups were placed on the tabl Edward couldn't help but push Bella's cup towards her, it meant that he could get a little closer. He extended his arm, muscles pulsing at his restraint and his fingers curled into a half fist, he pushed the cup forward a few inches and immediately recoiled.

This was hell.

Bella watched him do this, then she connected her eyes with his. He had the coldest and most fierce expression on her face, and his eyes were black. Pitch black.
