Ghauldur figured it was a set-up, he'd gone down way to easy, not to mention that he'd used the same trick before, though this guy was much better at it than he, his suspicion's were confirmed as Ekanal blocked him and Arthur stepped forward and drew several razor sharp throwing knives..he laughed softly as thoughs of drawing his own, unique, ranged weapons went though his head..sticking the bounty hunter to the ground with one of his harpoons and pulling his arms and legs off him while he was still alive may've ben enteratining, but impractical..besides, he'd just been ordered to stand down. "Hey, Arthur, if he keeps up his act can I stick him to the ground and pull him apart like a bug?" he asked in a cheerfull tone. He kept his weapons out in case the runt wanted to dance again as he stepped to the side of Ekanal and motioned for her to face the acting assasin.

Ekanal stayed in her spot and watched as Arthur went to the assasin. He seemed to want more people to join their forces, but doubted that the assasin would. She turned her attention back to the others of the group especially on Ghaldur. She saw his motion and turned easily, her attention now on the assasin.

Craultus heard the fight break out behind him, but kept on going. He needed to get the package from the elves, and he trusted everyone else to cover his back. He continued on his way, cloak flapping behind him as he began to run. Soon he arrived at his destination. He knocked, and hoped that he would be allowed in quickly, for he did not know if even more people had been sent to attack him. The door opened a crack, and a voice said quietly, "state your name and your buisiness here". Craultus replied quickly and confidently, "I am Craultus, and have come here to pick up a package I believe the elves have prepared for me. "Then welcome, Craultus, enter swiftly, for we do not know who is about in these dark times" came the reply.

The door swung open slightly, just enough for him to squeeze through. Once inside he looked around. The room was dully lit, and a single table sat in the middle of it, with two chair either side. around the rest of the room, plants grew abundantly, giving the light a greenish tinge whenever it fell on the leaves. There was a door on the farside on the room, which had not locks visible. Closer inspection revealed that on the other side several latches were slid across. He could see where the light from the other room round the frame of the door was blocked slightly by them.

He went and sat down after this, and was startled to see a elf standing on the far side of the room, watching him. The elf was wearing a green tunic, and looked very young. But Craultus himself looked young, and so he was for his race, but he imagined that this man was probaboly at least one hundred years old. The elf was holding a large package in one hand. Silently, he approached the table, sat down, and unravelled it to reveal several garments made of black cloth, and a much larger sheet of the stuff. it seemed to be normal at first glance, but touch it, and listen carefully, and you would see it wasnt. It was impossible to touch the surface, and it emitted a soft humming sound.

Then the elf began to speak. "this is some of the finest work I have ever seen. It has been encahnted so that is cannot be touched or detected by magic. it does not render the wearer invisible however, just stops the wearer appearing if, say, a magician cast a spell to look for people. It will wear out quickly however, for whenver it is put into use it will weaken. You will be able to tell when it is in use, because the faint humming noise will stop. also, the weaker it is, the closer you will be able to get to the fabric if you attempt to touch it. Now go, you have dithered here too long already."

Slightly taken aback at the sudden dismissal, Craultus gathered up the precious garments, and headed outside. he hid the package under his cloak, for fear of someone attempting to steal it. When he got back to where the fight had been happening, he saw Arthur standing there, talking to another man. Catiously, he approached, and stood at his brother's side.

"What happened here then?" he asked.

[[Ok, all writing I do in italics is of either NPCs, or general storytelling. I think it will boost how good the roleplay is to add things like that in]]

Away in the wolf Lands, a magician stood, silently fuming. The assasains had failed! angered, he began to prepare his revenge. He prepared another message for the man that had survived. there was nothing inside. The magiacian muttered over it, and then used a transportation spell to send it to the man. as soon as he touched the envelope, he would die.

"What happened here then?" Came the voice of Arthur's Brother Craultus as he came on to the scene.

"Well this kind gentleman just tried to kill us" Replied Arthur, "but i have asked if he would join us on are quest to defeat the wizard" Arthur looked back at the man as he asked how much he would be paid.

"Well you will be paid once we defeat the wizard you can have anything you want from his keep, to a reasonable amount" Arthur replied before turning back to his brother,

Craultus nodded in response, and revealed the package. He showed Arthur it uses, and then hid it again. He only got it out very briefly, for he did not want greedy eyes to see the garments. He glanced at the Man on the floor, and spoke to him. "You have heard the offer. Take it or leave it. We are going now, for we must embark on our quest."

With that Craultus turned and strode away into the darkness. He returned to the Tavern in which they had first met, and retrieved the belongings that he had left there. then he hurried back to see everyone else.

"Ok, this is it. We are leaving for the wolf lands."

With that he turned, and headed for the wolf lands. First they must pass through the borderlands, which was bog land. They would face little or no danger there, but every so often the wolves would stray that far. They would not however, don the gift from the elves, until they reached the wolf lands. Having figured that out, Aserif increased his pace. The Land of the Wolves awaited.

Ghaldur looked to Arthur "Are you sure we can trust him?" he asked slowly, realizing the danger of having a hired blade on a journey of this magnetude.
He looked around himself, so far nobody looked upset by the attempted assasination-though the streets were nearly deserted anyways. He smiled inwardly to himself as he clipped his axe back to his belt and sheathed his sword on the opposite side. He glanced at the box Craultus brought "Hmm" was his only outward reaction-it was'nt his buissness what they brought along with them, as long as it did'nt get him killed.

Ekanal had seen the package and it's contents, but knew not to ask question's. It was of her race to keep secrets, and not to ask of other's secrets, this secret would most likely be told once they got to the land of Wolves.

Itachi just followed, his blade in his scabard, he yawned slightly of boredome and looked at the two talking, obviously about if they could trust him. But after accepting a mission, he wouldn't even think of betraying them until the mission was complete, and anyway, he was curious about the Land of Wolves they spoke of.

As he walked, his cloak flapped slightly in the breeze, looking around curiously at where they were.

Craultus continued on his way, stepping lightly, making as little noise as possible. He new that the others would follow, and, he hoped, would make a little noise as he was. He hurried on at a faster pace, for the was now wary of attacks, as they seemed to be waiting around every corner.

The whole thing was unnerving. He did not know how they could have been found. The quest had been organised with utmost care, no detail being given to outsiders. And yet they had been found, by whom they did not know, nor why that person was trying to stop them. A thought came to Craultus, chilling his blood. It was possible that this was the magicians doing, and that he knew they were on their way.

Crualtus glanced behind him. The others had not yet caught up. He sighed impatiently, and stood waiting. They could not afford to waste anytime, the longer they spent stadning around, the more likely it was that they would fail. As he waited he looked around, getting his bearings. He thought for a moment, and figured out that it would take another thirty minutes to get to the cities edge. "At least if the get a move on" muttered Craultus under his breath, getting more and more annoyed, and worried, as his companions failed to emerge.

At the moment he was passing through an area of the town that was inhabited by dwarves. Their squat dwellings made of atone lined the streets. Candelight flooded out their windows, bathing the street in golden light. Even as Craultus watched, Figures began to emerge, peeking through the curtains of the windows, some opening their doors slightly, looking at him with questioning eyes. Craultus shifted umcomfortably, trying to ignore the numerous pairs of eyes fixed on him. He was attracting too much attention. They needed to get moving.
As he thought this, a figure appeared, walking towards him. "About time too" Craultus muttered, and stood, tapping his foot impatiently. they needed to go NOW.

Itachi had followed Craultus to the dwarven part of town, but was now lost, he wandered around the streets looking for someone taller than a dog on four paws. ~Great~ He thought as he continued to walk past (And occasionally push over accidently) the small people hurrying about there buisness. Itachi scratched his head "Ok, this is going well, its not that bad, ive just failed a mission for 1,000,000 in gold, and the targets have just hired me for something proboly worth more, and now, ive lost the employer group thing, damn it! Ok, look on the brightside, if there still in this district, they will be taller than other people so they cant be that hard to find..."

He hurried along quickly, his cloak flapping behind him and occasionally in dwarves faces who shouted "Wacth where your going you big ugly giant!" in return. He continued to hurry, his feet making more footstep noise than the dwarves, wich got him alot of Proboly unwanted attention. Some of the tiny peoples eyes shifted towards his Katana, and on tried to grab and run off with it, but failed since Itachi just kicked it over and said "get lost you scrumpy little greedy midgit!". Wich of cource was a bad idea, as he spent the next 10 minutes running from a horde of angry midgits. When he finally lost them however, he turned a corner, only to find Craultus there tapping his foot.

Itachi ran over quickly, in deep breath as he was out of breath from the horde of midgits he ran away from. "FINALLY! I found you! where are the others?" he asked as his eyes wandered around looking at the dwarves and birds. ~What a horrid little town, full of scrumpy midgits and houses the size of my hut...~ he thought as he waited for a reply

Ghaldur stalked slowly after Craultus, his massive stride the only thing allowing him to keep up with the others at the speed he was moving, he had to stiffle an ironic chuckle at the though of what he must look like..over eight feet tall and looking as strong as twently grown men in thier prime, yet tipptoeing around like a elfling, but such was the life of an adventurer he mused silently.
If the others looked like giants to the locals, he must be downright frightening to them, though he was'nt interested in them in the least, save that he had to take extra care as to not accidenly squash them beneath his hulking form, this drew a slight frown as he looked around at the dissmal place.
Then he saw Craultus stop up ahead, so Ghaldur to stopped as well, waiting for new intructions, and attempting to look as inconspicous as possible givin the situation.

Craultus nodded to Itachi, and looked around for anyone else. He scowled as an angry corwd of dwarves appeared, coming round the corner. "What have you done" Craultus said to Itachi. He then drew his sword, preparing to fight. But the dwarves turned away when they saw him standing there. Craultus sighed with relief. He would have been able to see them off, but he couldnt afford any more delays. He turned, and continued on his way. He could not afford to wait any longer, they either got on with it and caught him up or got left behind. He knew that the magician could have already found out about them and, if not, that he probaboly soon would.

As he glanced over his shoulder, Ghaldur came into view. Craultus stopped and nodded in greeting, and asked "where are the others?" he decided he would wait, as it seemed the rest were finally getting themselves together. He turned when he felt a pull at the leather patch attached to his belt. It contained some herbs for healing. He turned, and hit the dwarf pulling at it. The dwarf fell to the ground, dazed, then got up, and ran off. when he wa at a safe distance, he turned to hurl a few insults at Craultus. After that happened he had a clearer idea about what Itachi had done.

Ghaldur looked at Craultus as he asked him where the others were.."They *should* be right behind me, but as you see." he gestured towards Itachi "Its possible they've "gotten lost"." he finished, sarcasm gleaming in his eyes as he said "gotten lost" .
"So, whats the plan?" he asked as Craultus shoved a would be pickpocket away..Ghaldur knew all of his equiptment, save for his boots, was above thier reach.
He looked around again anyways, finding the surroundings dissmal at best.

Itachi scowled and itched his right shoulder with his left hand, "Sorry for getting lost, i dont usually tend to go near settlements with dwarves in and i dont know this area as much as id like to" He yawned again, his cloak swaying, he paused a moment, then turned to Craultus "Pray tell me, im not dumb, you wont talk about this here, but when were at a safe distance and not being spied on, or stalked or someone listening in, can you tell me what this expidition is? Im most interested, and plus its wise for me to know what enemies ill be up against so i can prepare myself".

He then looked around carefully and made sure any dwarves werent watching, then pulled out a flask from his pocked, opened it and took a small gulp of fine elven spring water as he waited for a reply.

Arthur moved after his brothers quick steps, he himself had never rushed anything since he last got out of jail, and now took his time to see the beauty of the world. He finally caught the rest of the companions up a look of annoyance on his brothers face, for the time that had been taken to get there.

Arthur grunted a word of apology for how long he took, before moving past him he continued to walk up the path, he thought it would be better to be ahead and walking slow than to be at the back and holding everyone up. he new that this could be his last ever adventure, he knew the story's and legends of that land, but what ever happened he would wipe his soul clean from all the bad he did when he was younger.

"Come on then" Arthur shouted over his shoulder "We have a land to liberate"

The armor clad man looked down at the other fighters. He had his stake in hand, and watched all of them from a distance. "So, these are the people I have to work with.." In his mind he had a mental image of the fight at Genova, but he shook off the vision. Men being slaughtered, hit by blades of steel. "I'll test them. A quick attack would show them if what he was fighting for. He jumped down in front of them, his red and black shell slightly covered in dirt and grime. He tuned to them, his green eyes flashing , as a guttural, almost privative voice said. "I am Kyoskue, and if you are looking to destroy the wolves. I must see f you are worthy. Fight me, with your might. Now. Taste my Revolver Stake!" He rushed at Arthur first, the stake suddenly bursting from his right arm.. When he ran, it was surprisingly quick for the tall, 8 foot armored creature. It was up to him to react, and take the battle further.

Craultus watched as the figure dropped down in front of him. he heard the words he spoke, and Craultus immedietely prepared himself to fight. As he attacked arthur, he drew his sword with great speed, and diverted the blow. he reeled back, the blow had made his sword vibrate, and it travelled up the hilt and into his arm, sending waves of pain shooting through his arm. Gritting his teeth, he turned to the figure. He drew his other blade from its sheath, the blade glinting as it came up in his hand. He then sprang forward, swords a blur in his hands. He would show this person he was worth fighitng with. He remined himself as he attacked, that he did not wish to kill. after all, that proof of his strength would not enable him to join them. Instead as he attacked, he swung to hit his oppoenents arms and legs, not to kill with a fatal head wound, or a thrust through the heart. He continued his assault, sweat pouring down his face. He continued on, his face set in a grim mask. He would show this person he had reason to join him. He would not fail in that.
