Overdrive takes place in a Video game created by the infamous company Kronos its purpose is to allow normal people to become anything they want however a Virus has entered the game and threatens to kill the players and when the players are killed in the game they die in real life thanks to this virus though Kronos is working around the clock to fix this problem the players are trapped in the game and kronos is forced to rely on a hand full of players showing more strength then the virus itself... can they beat it of will they be killed as well...
