Tips: 0.00 INK Postby thesilentstory on Wed Mar 03, 2010 9:24 pm

Dear Student,

We are glad to welcome you to the prestigious Trident Academy,
the only school in the nation that is solely for the education and the
development of those with enhanced abilities. Enclosed in this
envelope, you will find your room assignment, course list and advisor
assignment. Please feel free to contact Student Services with any
questions you may. We cannot wait to meet you at the new
students orientation. Glad to have you here!

Sincerely,

Thonis Rechaud
Thonis Rechaud
Dean of Students

Lora had been dropped off at the school just minutes before, with her letter of enrollment and the single large suitcase with all her clothes and things she could possibly need at Trident Academy. She'd read the letter over and over again and knew it by heart, as well as the things they had included with the letter. All she needed to do was find where the orientation was being held and she would be all set.

Trident Academy was a huge school, and while looking for the orientation room- also known as Wadsworth Commons- she was awed by the intricate details of the interior of the main building, named Tangeman. The walls were some sort of wood, possibly cherry, and had delicate designs of flowers lining the edges. She could almost see her reflection in the floors and she was amazed at how large the hallways seemed. What even made it more interesting was that this was just the one dorm building. The other was connected by something called the Hyphen, which still confused her, but she was sure that with a bit of exploring, she would know the campus like the back of her hand in no time.

After a few minutes of wandering, she finally saw a sign pointing her in the right direction. Wadsworth Commons was straight ahead, and she could see that people were already there, checking in and finding seats. Taking a deep, but excited breath, she walked up to the woman sitting at the table in front of the doors of the room, and gave her her name. The woman gave her a kindly smile and told her to place her luggage with others in a growing pile, and that she could find a seat. Grinning like an idiot, Lora made her way in and sat down. She knew this was going to be fun after all.

Gisli walked in next to her brother, suitcase in hand. Her eyes were wide with excitement, wonder and questions. What was this going to be like? It seemed much nicer then anywhere they had been before. Probably the prettiest place she had ever even laid eyes on! She stayed a right next to her brother's tall, 6 foot figure. As outgoing as she was, she felt better with Luan next to her.
"Where do we go?" she said, her voice hushed, still in amazement from the shock of the beautiful place. She was looking all around, and as she did so the area became hushed. She barely heard her brother's response, but followed him into the room where orientation was taking place. She tuned the sound so that it would be at a normal level, and tried to keep herself from getting distracted by anything.
As she took a seat with Luan after depositing her bag into the pile, she looked at him. "Would you mind?" she asked casually. They did this all the time. When there were many distractions, Luan would take her thoughts away so that she couldn't slip up and change volume unexpectedly. Although she was getting much, much better about using her power, she still slipped up every now and then. She knew how to relax when he took her thoughts, and no one else had ever been able to. The two figured that the only reason she could relax was because they were siblings. So she went into this state of meditation."Just until they start," she said, beginning to relax already.

Devin walked into the academy thinking this was a small school. Not the case at all. "holy shit, government didn't waste any expenses on this one!". Hearing people murmur and one girl say" do you mind?" to what looked to be her brother, he sat down next to a beautiful girl and said "hey". "hi what's your name?" she asked. "lieutenant Devin Lachance" he responded. "oh, i'm kaira, nice to meet you" she replied. "Nice to meet you too" he said. In his mind he was thinking "oh man this girl is too good to pass up". They both quieted down as the dean started to speak
"The day that the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace"

"The knight put up a fierce battle, but the dragon seemed overpowering. This castle had become the foul beast's lair over the many centuries in which it had guarded the princess, who remained prisoner in the high tower. As such, it had far better knowledge of the area than the brave knight. All seemed lost, but just as the leviathan let from its maw a searing stream of fire - -"

The bus came to an abrupt halt, ending with a loud THUD over a speed bump and interrupting Kari from her story. She looked up from the tome and out the window, and there she saw the spectacle of the Trident Academy, surrounded by a green oasis of grass and stone walkways. She was impressed, to say the least, of how it appeared - she compared it to the many marvelous castles she may find in one her storybooks. "Oh" she thought, stars twinkling in her eyes. "How marvelous a place to call my home for the next few years. It's just like the castle of Mount Maridel, from the Sazarien Chronicles! I guess that makes me a princess!" a giggle escaped her lips as she mused over her thoughts. She felt a little embarrassed that she had just giggled out of nowhere, and she blushed slightly and cupped her mouth with her hand, looking around to see if anybody had noticed.

She stood up, closing her book and holding it close to her chest, clenched by both arms as she walked off the bus and into the massive courtyard that lay in front of her. The place had everything; a fountain, park benches, cropped hedges, and patches of the most beautiful bright blue and pink flowers. And to think, this was only the front lawn! She thrilled at what secrets would actually lay within the academy itself.

Entering the large wooden doors (which she took note were engraved with beautiful craftsmanship designs) she found before her a wide, ornately decorated room. The sheer size almost made her agoraphobic. "Snazzy.." she thought to herself. Echoes of people talking in hushed tones from all over the chamber resonated their way to her ears; it reminded her of a library. She continued to walk, grasping her book, wandering around utterly clueless as to where she was supposed to go. She desperately did not want to appear unconfident, or even worse, lost, and end up already re-earning the reputation of being the creepy quiet girl, who spends all her time reading fairy tales. She knew what it was like to have that label; it was exactly what she was known for back in her old high school in Seattle. Here, she wanted to make a new name for herself; she just hoped that being herself was enough to earn the acceptance of her fellow "magical" peers.

"Ah hah" she muttered to herself, spotting a sign that read Wadsworth Commons This Way --> remembering from her introduction packet -which she had read, cover to cover - that the Wadsworth Commons is where the students are "inducted" into the school on initiation day. Being a bookworm had its perks. She walked into the large, rather loud atrium, finding herself intimidated by the overwhelming commotion of chatter and the busy people flitting this way and that way, like fish in a crowded lake. She felt her stomach welling up with knots of anxiety, then plopped herself into a seat away from the crowd of people. She hugged her book tightly, and reminded herself over and over in her head:

"This is my fairy tale."

Luan's jaw fell as they walked into the building. How the hell had they gotten here? Oh, right, that mysterious money the he had neglected to tell Lia about...but that wasn't a concern until she wondered. It was fairly silent, but even so he heard the volume in the room go way down. So, she was even more impressed than he was. He looked down at her and saw her lips moving. He made out something along the lines of, "Where to?" Glancing around, he wondered the same thing. Then spotted a sign.
"Over there smart one..." he pointed, but she was too distracted and his voice was barely audible. He walked ahead, knowing she would follow anyway. As they walked, he felt the sound return to normal, his sister trying to keep herself away from distraction. He put their bags into the pile and they sat down together, silently waiting for the start of orientation. Lia was quiet, which was really weird. He was about to check on her when she said, "Would you mind?" and he knew exactly what she meant.
"No problem," he smiled at her and sighed, taking her thoughts. Her face became placid as she slipped into her trance-like state. He kept tabs on her thought, storing them in the back of his mind as he watched all the people. He felt Lia's them slipping a little at one point and pulled them back. If he let go, she might start talking and then he'd have to listen to her. He loved his sister but she never shut up. The only moments of peace he got were when he took her thoughts, but if he tried to do it without her permission she'd make him deaf in one ear for a day. He had tried before.
So he closed his eyes and lounged in his chair until everything started. Every now and then he would glance over at Lia, just to make sure she was OK.

As the bus suddenly stopped, Anthony woke up and remembered that he is actually going to Trident Academy. He thought to himself 'I still don't know why I'm here, I'm absolutely normal'. He looked round and saw everyone full of excitement, he sighed and put his grey hood up and looked out the window. He didn't think much of the place except that it's nicer than his house back home. Anthony heard a girl giggle, he looked to the side and saw a girl giggling to herself. 'Well she seems happy that she's at a freak school', her eyes caught his attention they were so sparkly. 'She has beautiful eyes...but she's one of those freaks with powers' he thought to himself. He watched her as she stood up and he did as well, he put his hands in his pockets, put his earphones in, hood up, grabbed his bag and walked off the bus behind the girl.

Anthony had no idea where to go, he didn't even have the letter with him, he looked around and noticed the girl and decided to follow her as it would be better than getting lost on the first day. He was surprised by how many people there were and realised that they all had special powers and sighed at the fact that he was there with them, he kept thinking to himself that he is different to them and that he is normal.. but realistically he knew that he was exactly the same as them.

He entered Wadsworth Commons and stood on the spot for a bit trying to get used to the environment, all he could think of was 'Harry Potter.Harry Potter.Harry Potter.' He wanted to sit down so he looked around trying to find the closest free spot. He sat down next to a girl with short light blonde hair with a red bandana wrapped round her head. Anthony thought to himself this could be interesting, she has a face of an angel. He put his hood down and roughed up his hair and tried to get her eye contact, it was difficult. He took his ear phones out and casually said "Hey" He asked "What's your name?

Caye was already seated in a chair. He had situated himself off in a corner. The chair before him was open probably because he had his feet in it. One leg crossed over the other at the ankles. Like wise he had his arms crossed over his chest. Sitting silently as everyone gathered. With his head tilted back with his eyes closed it looked as if he was fully Asleep.

Çaye had been sitting in that spot for the better part of the day. He had been one of the first people to arrive. His guardians had seemed to eager to get rid of him. How he hated those people. Just the very thought of them was enough to make his skin boil. His face scrunching up slightly as he frowned. He only had memories of them of this day, and those were enough to make a lasting impression. Pushing his lips together, he unfolded his arms and reached into a pocket pulling out a candy bar and began opening it up. He opened his eyes to take a look around to see how many people had arrived so far as he bit into the bar.
~Crunch~
Bitting into the bar and munching on it was enough of a distraction. But that only lasted so long before his mind drifted back to this morning when he was dropped off with a letter. His mind rolling over the letter trying to figure it out. Truth be told he did not know much about the school. All he knew was that he was that he was going to live here and that it was going to help him. At least that's what he was told. For some reason he couldn't remember much of anything outside of today. He gave a angry little pout before bitting into his candy bar again.

Alexi woke in his luxurious king size bed and lazed for a while. He was to start school today at his new school for people who are, like him, magically different. Although the school was new, his powers weren't, and he could only wonder if he would be one of the few who had actual control over their abilities.

He slumped over the edge of the bed and reached into his bag, one of the few things that were real in this house. He pulled out a series of sketchbooks and took the one labeled 'Clothing (Male)' and placed the others back into the bag. He opened the pages and looked through his detailed schematics of clothing made for men. 'Let's look rich today.' was his simple thought as he turned through the scketchbook until it seemed to categorize into suits. It was like picking clothes out of a store catalog. He could just as easily do so but he doesn't find the satisfaction he does when he wears his own design. He stopped on a white suit and smirked.

The page read:
Pearl white coloured pants and jacket.
Both made of the finest material.
Dress shirt looks good in Lavender, Red, Soft Green, and Pearl White.
Accessories: Jet Black Tie, Royal Blue tie
(use same colour for Handkerchief in front pocket of jacket.)

It was a simple blurb of his notes on what looked best in this attire. Along the margin were his measurements and beside the skinny column of measurements was a picture of a tux like business suit, white in colour, but had no buttons along the jackets lapel.

He smirked again as he looked through the potential colour pallet. Through the blurb suggested certain colours he tried not to jump on it right away. Today however, he was running late and choose the recommended white undershirt and black tie and handkerchief.

he sat upright in the glorious bed, spun and draped his feet over the edge of the bed he so desperately didn't want to leave. he outstretched his hand into a condensing mist of royal blue and lavender colour and ripped a suit bag into existence. He opened his new suit bag and slotly took everything out and began to get ready.

*-* Later *-*

About 30 minutes later he found himself outside his new school and was feeling the start of his excitement. Alexi stepped out of his newly conjured car, a Mini Cooper black as night. He loved his power. He walked into the room of where the first of many speeches would be held and sat in an open seat near the middle of the atrium. He already couldn't help himself smirking at people starring at him, no doubt he could pass as a student teacher, with his professional look about him.

The anticipation was mounting and Alexi could not help but feel the eagerness of this day's beginning.

Marylee Zabeck glanced a little longly back at her mother, whom met her eyes with a sad yet approving expression. Lee hadn't really learned a lot about The Trident Academy; her mother told her she would learn everything at the orientation. Hopefully, this would be proved truthful, for she didn't want to wander around like an idiot. Lee smiled and leaned up to hug her mother, sighing into her shoulder.

"Write me everyday, baby..." Her mother soothed, rubbing her daughter's back.

"I will, mom.." She spoke back, nodding her head. Lee had been struggling with her mother for weeks on her leaving; ever since the accidental murder of her father-caused by her-her mother had been having issues with her long absentence. Although, this was all her mother's plan. Marylee really wanted to learn to control her abilities, but with her mother broken up like this...

"Alright, get going..." Lee nodded, pulling herself up and pushing her bag up on her shoulder. She pushed the car door open and began her walk to the school.

The school's walkway stretched on and on, spotted with bright, lively flowers, and led to a giant building that towered over her like a small mountain. Her letter prolonged from her back pocket, her handbag hung on one arm, and she grasped her rolling suitcase in her left hand. She hoped that this school would help her.

She finally made her way into the orientation room, sighing in relief. She was very glad that she no longer had to carry her suitcase; it was super heavy, filled with most of her belongings. She took a seat and leaned back, closing her eyes tightly against the blinding lights...

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Ethan zipped up his light-colored jacket, walking down a back sidewalk to The Trident Academy. His mom was really "sick" because of late night partying, so she dropped Ethan off at the first path she found that let to the school. Ethan didn't care that this path was so far back that the school appeared at the size of a speck, dark on the distant horizon.

He dipped his hand into his right-hand pocket, his heavy bag bumping up against the small of his back. This minor pain didn't bother him; he was excited. Maybe, if he trained hard enough, he could awaken a new power, one that didn't hurt him so much. His ability: super-sonic scream, but it caused his throat harm, like swallowing scalloding acid. He knew it was a stupid wish, but it couldn't hurt to hope. No more than his power.

He finally made it to the building, but, because this part wasn't clearly marked on directions, he went with his gut and slid into a spare door. Inside, he could suddenly smell clorine and water- abruptly, he felt his foot fly out from under him and was consumed by cool water. His bag flew forward and hit the opposite end of the pool, and the world spun in a current of bubbles as he tried to resurface. He broke the surface and flung himself up onto the ledge, coughing and sputtering up water. His throat muscles strained, wanting him to release a yell. But he couldn't; not without the pain. He ran his fist below his lips, ridding his face of water.

He tried not to look pissed as he grabbed his bag and headed out into a hallway lined with doors. Disdain fell upon his heart as he masked his anger. How was he going to find the orientation hall? He sighed ragefully, rubbing the back of his wet head, hair hanging down in dripping tendrils. Maybe, if he was lucky-which didn't look too good-someone'd come alone.

Cheyanne Marie Wall walked into Trident Acadamy, bags in hand and books and a blue pencil case, her uniform on, ice sickle earrings, and her heart shaped necklace which was actually made out of ice, she had green eyes and brownish-blondish (depending on how the sun hit it) looking hair and she was 110 Lbs and a height of exactly 5"3'. She looked around nervously, she hated being the new girl and she said in her head to her self ~THANKS GRANDMA!~ And she just walked around looking at everyone. Cheyannes power was manipulating ice, and she could control it, she was commonly called an Ice Bender.

Cheyanne sat down at a desk randomly and tried to quit shaking from the nerves she was experiencing, she hated this..She didn't want to be the new girl! All she felt like doing was running, running fast and getting back home and just laying in her bed and crying. Instead of running she sat there with her head down on the desk and just sighed and tried to keep her self from crying.

Before she did start crying she picked her head back up and looked at the huge place her Grandmother, Cheryaline Wall, had enrolled her in. Cheyanne tried to take it all in, it was the most bueatiful place that she had ever seen, not considering the rolling plains of Texas that she used to live in, but this place took her breath away and she thought there was no way that one person could see it all no matter how long they were there. She was still nervous and wasn't sure what her Trident Acadamy experience would be like but she was going to try to make the best of it.

Devin listened to the start of the Dean's speech, and thought sarcastically "Wow, I haven't heard THIS before, it's not the exact same one we got when I passed my JTF2 entry, or my GHOSTS entry." He started to get bored about 1/4 of the way into the speech, so he poked the girl next to him, who seemed to be hugging her book like it was a person.

"Hey Kari, what book is that?". "Oh, it's about a knight and a dragon" she replied. "Oh cool, i used to read books" he responded, and quietly murmured " Yea, before the f***ing war, back when i could f***ing read.". "What, you can't read?" Kari asked. "Uhhhhh, sort of, not very well" Devin stated, feeling rather embarassed about having to admit it. "Would you mind helping me a little?" he asked, his face getting a little red. "Oh yea, you can admit to killing one of the most powerful men in the world without blushing, but you can't ask some girl to help you with reading without blushing, very manly." he though sarcastically. "Yes! I love reading, it's my favorite thing!" she said a little to exitedly. "Thank you very much!" Devin said with much relief. As he laid back he tried to imagine what this year would bring, but he couldn't shake the thoght of actually hanging out with Kari, the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen.

Cheyanne was still trying to calm her nerves as she listend to the Dean speak, at least she wasn't going to be giving any introductions..Yet anyway, or so she hoped. If it was one thing Cheyanne was never good at it was speaking in front of people or introducing her self, and when she tried to do either one she'd stutter like an idiot. Cheyanne thought to her self, "I'm dead, I'll never make any friend, I won't find a boyfriend and I sure as heck won't FIT IN with these people."

As she kept listning she heard other people around her laughing joking around or telling other people to be quiet, she tried to block all that out but it just made her think about how nervous she was and then that was back on her mind which made her grip her desk and the wood now had a thin layer of ice on it which she instantly took her hands off of it and the ice dissapeard. All she could do was now sit there and sigh, she didn't know what else to do but suck it up and deal with her nervousness on her own time.

Luan let his mind slip away from Lia's as the Dean began. He wasn't really listening, he usually didn't listen to things like this. He was bored quite frankly, nothing new. Eventually he slipped out of the room, as tall as he was this was quite easy. There was so much other activity in the room despite the dean's voice, he never noticed.
So Luan went exploring. He had to do it sometime, and it would be better when other people were preoccupied... plus he really didn't feel like listening to Lia jabber about something pointless at the moment. He let his mind wander, thinking about Mr. Fletcher, his supposed foster parent. At least for another month, then Luan would turn eighteen and take his sister away from that- well, fill in the blank yourself if you'd like.
In any case, though he wasn't very happy about being at a boarding school, being away from that man made him feel better. The trailer was unsafe, and the man was downright violent. Luan had gotten into his share of fights with Mr. Fletcher, mainly over Gisli. She tended to stay away from the trailer and if she had to be there, she almost clung to him. Luan had no problem with this, actually he was happy about it. She was one of the only things that he really cared about anymore.
He looked up from the ground, which he had been watching as he walked. Someone was around, he could always feel people's thoughts. Not read them at all, he just felt crowded when someone else was thinking. He'd gotten used to it, and unless he was in a really crowded area it didn't bother him. He rounded the corner and spotted some kid, sopping wet with a school bag. He stopped in his tracks, hands in pockets and stared at him.

Lora tried to listen to the dean. She really did. But his voice was so... lacking. He moved his hands a lot, which she picked up on almost immediately, and she had to find something else to concentrate on before she stowed away his exact movements in her head. he was talking about the various extracurricular activities and clubs they had at Trident, but she wasn't interested. They had an activities fair coming up pretty soon, and it didn't matter is she listened now or later. She was getting antsy and antsy meant no focus-which was bad. She had to find a way to occupy herself before her powers manifested in a not so safe way. She stood near silently and slipped out of the room and into the hall, sinking against the wall once she was out.

"Well this is a bit more than I expected," she muttered to herself, standing. "Now, what to do?" She began to walk straight ahead, knowing that she would probably get lost and have to eventually ask for directions. But until then, she would roam. She placed a light finger on the wall and held it there as she walked, tracing the delicate design. She could smell the oldness in this school, like it had been there for years and years and needed some one to bring the life back into it. As small smile crossed her lips, she would have fun here, she knew- even more so now that she knew that there was 'much to be discovered in a school this big' as the Dean put it.

Devin laid back in his chair, and decided to roam around. The way he saw it nobody was going to try and stop him anyways, he is rather intimidating. Although when he walked out, he saw three other kids, and one of them was soaked. He looked at all of them as he brushed past them. Feeling bored, he left the building to look for something fun to do. He saw some building that reminded him of a dojo. " I'll see what's in here, probably show up the teacher in here" he thought to himself.

As he walked in, a sound went of, and a female voice said " Wave 1". All of the sudden four holes were in the wall, and what looked like four robots came after him. He punched the first one's head clean off, turned and roundhoused the second robot, gave the third a straight right, and left hooked the fourth. " Easy fight" he said to himself.

He heard a man clapping, and looked up straight at the teacher. " Good job sir, may I join you?" " Certainly, I would love to fight with you. The man rushed down the steps and the computer voice came back on, this time saying level 200. Suddenly, about 45 robots came out of the walls. Devin punched the first ones head, roundhoused the second, blocked a kick from another, uppercutted another, this ones head coming clean off, jumped over another robot, picked it up and threw it at 10 others, all of which fell down. He blocked two oncoming kicks, grabbed their heads and smashed them together. He looked over at the teacher, a small japanese man, who had beheaded all of his with a samurai sword.

Level 201. Same thing, 45 on two. " this isn't fair to the robots eh?" he said to the teacher. "No it's not." the man chuckled, Devin winked at him, then the next level started. He and the teacher finished these robots off in about 2 minutes. They continued this cycle until they got to level 320. "I think you're the best student I've ever had" the teacher ( who Devin had now learned was Nashi Umakori, a contact that led to his succes in killing Bin Laden.) "Devin managed to huff out a thank you between heavy breaths. "We should probably get back to the commons Lieeutenant" Nashi said. " Sounds good sir" Devin replied. So he and Nashi headed back, chatting about combat experiences and tecniques all the way there.

Re: Trident Academy (IC)

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Fallen on Sat Mar 06, 2010 1:17 am

Ashiya walked through the halls of what was Trident Academy. Unlike most people, who had gotten here on time, been very excited, and were now sitting in the orientation room, she was not. She had just arrived, having walked all the way there from whatever street she had been staying on she didn't remember anymore, was walking and taking her time in the halls, and well seemed not to belong at all. Ashiya, though had such a raw and natural beauty, was wearing a loose white long sleeved button up shirt, the kind a girl usually wears that belongs to her boyfriend, and some black short cheeky tight shorts which hid beneath the shirt itself, being it was on the long side. It didn't fit, like a model who had just gone shopping at the thrift store. And found herself clothes that didn't fit at that. Shirt too big, shorts too small, shoes...no shoes at all. Ashiya had a small backpack with her, one that held little belongings. Reason being, Ashiya had no home, she didn't come from anywhere, she had been living on the streets.

When she heard of the Trident Academy, she didn't jump for joy or get butterflies like others might have. She didn't think much of the place, beautiful as it was, but what drove her here was the fact she would have a home. And she would be able to finish school, she'd been out for quite some time. The idea that there were other...interesting people here, didn't even make its way into her mind. Finally, finding her way to the room which the speech was being given, she walked into the room, passing some girl who she couldn't blame for escaping the whole thing, and stood against the back wall. Ashiya looked completely out of place. Her dark brown hair looked stringy, as it was currently wet, her backpack looked like a truck dragged for miles as it drove against the pavement. But still, this didn't bother her. As she caught the last of the speech, that she basically didn't pay any attention to, she felt the emotions of the surrounding students. Most of them excited, anxious, nervous, or happy. Any other emotions were currently being overwhelmed by these.

They offered so many things at this school, so many things she had never been able to have. For a moment she thought she may want to join some of the extra curriculars, and the clubs. She sighed when he finally finished, however most of the students remained in their seats. What were they waiting for? She certainly didn't know where to go though. She was going to have a dorm apparently, she didn't know if she was going to be dorming with someone, or if she was going to be on her own. The thought troubled her for a moment, she would certainly be irritated if she had to dorm with someone and didn't like them. But then who ever said she had to follow the rules and stay with that person. Ashiya looked around and absorbed what were the students current feelings, and tried to see who she would be spending time with, if anyone at all.

Cheyanne soon got bored with the endless speech from the Dean and started to let her curious side get the best of her, so thats when she got up and just walked out of the room. She passed the girl with the stringy brown hair and just looked at her once then back down to the ground as she walked. Once she was out in the hallway she took one sweeping look down the hall and saw many students either wandering to get away from the Deans speech or simply walking to explore. She'd be doing both.

As she walked, all she could do was stare at the huge roof over her head or at the walls that were so bueatfully decorated. She looked at the map she was given and decided to try to find her dorm that she would be staying in for the rest of her stay, it was going to take her all day, she was sure of it. Cheyanne passed alot of students, some not even giving her a passing glance and some that looked at her too, but each time she would look at someone she had to look back down and say to her self "When will the shyness end Chey. It's gotta end sometime or your not going to make it here." She only ignored what that voice told her and tried to tell her self that she would fit in and these people were like her, she has the power of Ice Bending and these people had gifts too.

Anthony sat for a while 'listening' to the Dean's speech. 'What's so great about this school anyway, what so you come here and learn some lessons about your power? Sounds like a great school... Just a copy of Harry Potter except, worse. This is bull.' He got up and walked out of the hall. He put his hands in his pocket and got out a cigarette, he lit this and started to smoke it. He wandered around for a bit until he noticed a girl on her own looking at the roof. He slowly walked towards her and got close, he moved in and put his mouth next to his ear, she hadn't noticed, and whispered "Is the roof really that interesting?" sarcastically. He laughed softly and put the cigarette back in his mouth again. With one hand in his pocket he tried to read what she was thinking.

Cheyanne jumped back which caused her long, brown bangs fall in her eyes and she looked at the boy "I-I umm...Hey." It was apparent that Cheyanne was nervous and really, really scared as she stared at this boy and then looked at him some more, "I was just kinda looking around, you know? Getting the full view. Anyway, I'm Cheyanne Wall, you?" She thought that maybe this would be her first friend or best friend, whichever happend first, but she never thought about boyfriend because she didn't want or need one right now. She waited for his answer nervously than added "Umm, whats your power, I'm an Ice Bender."
