I'll admit, even though the Lord of Dunn was just a post away from Olympus, this particular roleplay has given me countless ideas to enrich my own personal canon, oh the secrets I'll never get to reveal.

Well; Ninja has not responeded to my PM's nor has he been on site since Nov 15th and to honest; if the GM is not showing intrest or abandons his own creation what is the incentive for me to continue? And just how far can only two of us carry a storyline that is not our own creation? I will remain until the end of the month to see if Ninja returns...then I will move on...

So, if anyone still lives... find solace in knowing that I do too. I've been out of the country for my best friend's wedding for a couple weeks now. Thailand and parts of Africa kept me distracted. Slowly acclimating back to everything in the states. Haven't forgotten about the board or story, only forgot a pre-warning for my unexpected travels.

I'm going to be doing some serious clean-up around the threads. Regardless of who is still around, the story will continue. I feel torn because I think RPGateway is a great idea, but I find the majority of its features to really slow down the story. I on the edge of actually investing the time and money in a more efficient forum system to make navigation and participation a little more wholesome. But who knows...

Im sure everyone will be quite busy during the holidays, but I've got lots planned for Pandora. I think the idea for a city map is a smart move. That will be my first priority along with the itinerary for the festival. Also, at this point we absolutely need some collaboration for future plots. Rather than reacting to the given circumstances of the world, we need some ideas and plans for our characters. That is ultimately what this thread is for: brainstorming. I know that everyone has at least a general idea of where they see their characters heading... So let's be vocal about these things.

Keep an eye peeled for updates.

And again, mea culpa for the absence. Ill-timed for sure, but I wouldn't have traded it for anything in the world.

Wow, that sounds like quite a wedding! Joy and bliss for the couple, obviously. The world untraveled is a book unread.

I was hoping we could have a meeting of the minds plot-wise. I've got plenty laid out for each of my characters, including some alternate ones depending on how interactions go.

Most definitely. Perhaps I should make a new thread pertaining more specifically to our current chapter of the story. We can start laying some groundwork to get our characters stories interwoven.

Well, I'll just lay out the plots I had planned:

Philomere arrives at the city for the festival, spends his time gallivanting and drinking along with Hayden, I imply some things about life in Bora...
Lorelei does something less than candid, someone sees, scandal and scandal-avoidance ensues.
Hayden does a lot of things less than candid.
Philomere falls ill from his revelry, thus joining the honorable heir club for men, and has to deal with Markham panting over his deathbed and secrets implied to be kept by Lorelei.
Lurick mumbles a lot, describing everything through Boran superstition and implying yet more things about the Dunns... we learn more about Odious and Philomere's childhood... more less than candid things go on... I learn whatever was going to happen at the festival, and from there on I do whatever powerplaying I can with any nobles present, and killing someone... not sure who, but someone would die, preferably violently.

Wrap it all up by bringing them back to Bora and letting someone meet Aya, while the attempts to revitalize Bora pan out as they may.

Alright. Yeesh. Holidays over. I've got the next three days off of work and I'm gonna be doing some major overhauling... Cleaning up our welcome threads, adding a few maps, detailing the coming week of the festival and trying to flesh out a more detailed history of the war that just ended. Nobody expects the new peace treaty to hold. The Montagues and Hawkes have a pretty big blood feud. As do some other big players. And the Montagues are now in bed with the Brackards giving them protection under the highest seat of power. That's really the only thing keeping the two major forces from going at each other presently. This festival is a large distraction to the people of the realm while the Houses meet and trade words.

As I write out more of the situation, I want you to think hard about how where your characters and Houses weigh in on this whole situation. What was your role during the war? Have you sworn allegiance to a person or House? Who did you deal with? Who did you fight? Feel free to create your own NPC minor Houses. Anyone worth mentioning can always be added to the cast list. Like I said before, we can all creat this world together. Again, help me keep an eye on what NPCs you are bringing into the story as well as traits and characteristics of those NPCs.
